i wouldnt trade the experience for the world, lemme preface with that. it was life changing for me academically but socially i feel very drained and discouraged. its not that i dont have friends because i do and i adore them but sometimes i feel like they dont see me as someone who needs support. its like they see me as this strong person who always has the time to take care of them and never has their own problems. but i dont wanna get too sappy because like i said it has opened a whole new world for me career wise and such. ive been given two (i think three actually) on campus jobs that fit perfectly so my majors. and just really made me passionate and excited for being a english/latin teacher. and if youre interested, i can tell you all about my love life? is its called that during the past few weeks:)

in terms of advice, dont settle on friends or who you surround yourself with. you will probably be around them 24/7 so really make sure they are people you want to be around and never be afraid to let go of people. you will always find more people to be around. and seize the opportunities around you. join clubs or honors societies when they arise. they open doors to things that can really benefit you and potentially alter your career path in a great way. just make sure you keep your mind open to trying new things during the first year

that sounds awesome. i’m glad you found a good place in college. i’m excited for i start in the fall, i’ve started looking into on campus clubs and stuff as well as off campus. I also know some kids from my current hs who are going to be within a 30 minute drive (they’re some of my best friends and I know i’ll visit them) but i’ve talked to a couple people who are going to my school

I found some temples in the area cause I want to be more in touch with that as well as some solid looking russian stores/restaurants/flea markets cause that’s always been super important to me

i’m excited to see what happens in the next year
