Something Wicked: part one

So as a result of my recent poll I present part one of my Cheerleader to Goth saga but with a twist. The second most popular option was Goth to Cheerleader (by adding up the Twitter poll numbers too) so I have combined both options into this overarching story. Enjoy!

In the dimly lit supply room at Ridgemont High School, an accident was about to unfold that would forever change the lives of two very different girls. Jenna, the infamous head cheerleader known for her unrelenting cruelty, and Lily, the quiet goth girl who had always felt like an outcast, worked in quiet silence each serving their time for fighting.

Although to say they were both working wouldn’t be accurate as Jenna was browsing social media as she half assed moved around a few items on the shelves. It also wouldn’t be accurate to say they were both in their for fighting as Lily had been more of a target of Jenna’s abuse that an equal combatant. Lily was a prime target for girls like Jenna. She was friendless, goth, and gay.

As the minutes ticked by, the room grew colder, and tension hung in the air like a storm on the horizon. Lily glanced at her phone. Only 5 minutes then she could be free of her tormentor. However as she was tidying up the last shelf she spotted something glimmering in the back. A strange, ancient amulet sat on a dusty shelf, long forgotten and overlooked by the school's staff. Unbeknownst to the girls, this amulet held a power beyond imagination.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Lily reached for the amulet. She held it tightly in her hand, its gold surface feeling pleasurable to touch. Its red gem sparkling in her eyes almost entrancing her.

“What do you have there?” Jenna snarled at her, breaking Lily from her trance.

“N-nothing.” Lily said trying to hide the amulet.

“Like hell it is, give it to me!” Jenna demanded and tried to snatch it from Lily. Lily tried her best to keep it out of Jenna’s reach but the cheerleader was too flexible for her. The moment Jenna’s fingers touched the amulet, a blinding light erupted, and their bodies were engulfed by a mysterious energy.

When the light faded, Jenna and Lily found themselves standing in each other's bodies, a look of shock mirrored on their faces. Jenna, now trapped in the body of the goth girl she had often ridiculed, felt a surge of panic. Lily, confined to Jenna's cheerleader form, felt a rising feeling inside her. Was it pleasure?

Jenna couldn't contain her frustration. She glared at Lily, her eyes filled with a mix of confusion and anger. "What did you do, freak? Why am I in your body?" Jenna's voice quivered with a mixture of disbelief and annoyance.

Lily, feeling equally bewildered by the sudden switch, raised her hands defensively. "I didn't do anything! Everything was fine until you touched the amulet," she retorted, her voice feeling foreign and yet powerful. She had always felt sheepish and intimated being around Jenna, but now, trapped in Jenna's cheerleader body, the tables were turned. It felt kind of intoxicating as she took a moment to look at herself in Jenna’s body in a nearby mirror.

A voice inside her head whispered seductively, "Look at you, Lily, you're stunning. You don't have to take shit from anyone anymore. Embrace this beauty, this power." She couldn't deny the allure of her new appearance, the allure that came with Jenna's beauty and confidence. The voice felt right.

Jenna however wasn’t amused and felt out of place in the dorky goth’s body. She felt so sluggish, the baggy black clothes felt heavy on her body and she felt a creeping sense of anxiety flood her mind. She didn’t like it. A soft, voice whispered in her mind, “Be seen, but not heard. Be meek, be ineffectual. It’s the safest thing to do.” It urged her to blend into the background, to avoid standing out. But Jenna’s personality was too strong for it. Grabbing Lily by her own cheerleader straps she pushed her against the wall.

“Undo this now!” She demanded. Perhaps it was the fact that her own pretty face was peering back at her but Jenna felt like Lily didn’t have the usual fear in her eyes that Jenna was accustomed to seeing. In fact they looked almost defiant.

“What are you doing to her freak?” Came voices from the door. Both girls looked over to see it was Jenna’s clique of betas, come to join their queen at the end of her punishment. Jenna’s face lit up with relief as she spotted them, and she hurriedly urged them, "Thank God you're here, come over here and help me with her."

However, when her friends laid eyes on Jenna, in Lily’s goth body, their expressions soured with disgust. "As if, freak," one of them sneered, and they turned their attention to Lily, who still pinned by Jenna in her cheerleader body. With an air of menace, they asked, "What do you want us to with her, babe?"

Lily's initial surprise quickly gave way to a newfound feeling growing inside her. She no longer had to fear Jenna's friends or their judgment. In fact, they were now in awe of her, standing before them in Jenna's glamorous cheerleader persona. They were waiting to take orders from her. The voice inside her head was telling her to be ruthless and she was inclined to agree. With a smirk on her face, Lily replied, "Grab her."

Before Jenna could react, her friends quickly swarmed around her, grabbing at her limbs, causing her to drop the amulet to the ground which Lily quickly scooped up before anyone else could see it.

“No stop! I’m Jenna! She’s Lily! She took my body!” Jenna yelled in vain as Lily clip clopped over to her slowly in high heels intimidatingly. Jenna looked at her stolen body and somehow didn’t see an ounce of Lily inside it.

“What is she talking about babe?” One of her clique asked.

“This freak brought tried to put a spell on me to swap bodies, can you believe it? Maybe we should burn her at the stake like other witches.” Lily said with a smile that made Jenna worried for a second that she was serious. The clique giggled. Lily felt empowered by their sycophancy, losing herself more by the second.

“Loser probably wanted in my body so she could make it all gay or something. Yuck.” Lily added, feeling the disgust be almost authentic. The growing voice in her head, praising her for her cruelty, spurred her on.

“It’s time we gave this stinky bitch a shower don’t you think girls?” Lily said with a superior hand placed on her hips. A wicked smile appeared on all the other girl’s faces as Jenna struggled to get free but it was no use as they led her out of the room and into the nearby bathroom.

Jenna was helpless as her former friends held her tight as Lily grabbed her hair and dunked her over and over again in the toilet bowl. Each dunking seemed to have a profound effect on each girl. Jenna felt her confidence and resistance sap with each dip in the water while Lily felt invigorated, powerful and deliciously cruel every time she shoved her former head into the murky water. It felt good to be mean.

“I think she’s clean enough girls, come on let’s get out of here and hit the mall, all this fun has ruined my nails and I need a new set.” Lily said with a now natural bitchy tone that perfectly matched the stolen body she inhabited. Lily led her new friends out with a confidence she had never had before. Her head held high and her chest sticking out, she loved how her new craven friends snapped to her orders.

Jenna meanwhile sat beside the toilet, soaked, wondering how this could get any worse. As if to answer her, Jenna heard the door swing open once again and Lily clopped in alone.

“I hope you have learned your lesson Jenna, that bullying is cruel and mean. Now come on let’s switch back.” Lily said with a strangely kind face as she produced the amulet from her bag and for a moment Jenna felt a glimmer of hope. This was quickly dashed when Lily dropped the amulet to the floor and stomped on it with her heel, smashing the red jewel at its center.

“Oops! How clumsy of me! I guess I’ll have to Jenna forever now. No scratch that, a new reign deserves a new name. I’m Jennifer and I’m going to make your life a living hell you lesbo goth freak!” Lily cackled as she turned and left to rejoin her waiting besties.

All hope seemed lost for Jenna, her cruel ways had caught up with her and now she would be forever the victim at the hands of her own body no less. As the seconds passed she heard the meek voice inside her tell her it was alight, that this was how the world worked.

Getting to her feet she walked over to the mirror and rung out the water from her hair. Her makeup was smudged and ruined, she looked like a sad clown.

“Don’t worry, once you learn how to dress invisibly you’ll be able to avoid most of the bullying. Not all of course but most.” Said the voice in her head that had been growing louder and louder.

Jenna nodded solemnly as she began to accept her new role but deep inside her an ember of defiance was still lit.

oh oh oh okay. there's so many i want to talk about

okay. first off, i want to talk about rolling. lucas has always been such an interesting character to me in bare. like. 'hey, i got the goods. i don't wanna take care of you all night so we're going to go over drug safety 101 again, okay?', claims he's not going to babysit his friends but goes to take care of ivy, he's the school drug dealer but the sin he confesses to is extra nyquil.

how do you think he felt to find out he supplied jason with the thing he used to kill himself. and it's not like jason didn't know how much would be lethal.

anyway, i think about lucas a lot

i decided michael would be the better person to take that sort of role in the bapo au. it makes sense, honestly. but it just makes the story a little more tragic.

michael is gay, jenna is the only one who knows. michael is probably just as terrified as rich and jake are about coming out in the environment they have spent most of their life in.

unsure whether saint cecelia's was supposed to be just a high school or not. my catholic school went from year 7 - 13. which is probably middle school to high school. there's another school in my town that is year 1 - 13 (so i guess elementary to high school). either way it's highly likely that they went to a catholic primary school. a catholic education system is all they're familiar with

ample time for them to have it drilled into them gay = bad.

if michael just paid a little bit more attention to jake and rich, maybe he would have noticed they were a lot closer than just best bros. maybe he would have noticed that when jake and rich had their falling out, rich was a lot more upset for it being a best friend fight. if michael paid a little more attention, maybe he would have noticed. if michael paid a little more attention, he could have told them that they weren't the only ones.

the 'you know we're still cool, right?' is a lot more loaded when it comes from michael knowing that his close friend is just like him. and michael knows what it's like to feel so alone with such a heavy secret. there were so many things that michael to say to offer some sort of support, he could have told them. but 'you know we're still cool, right?' was the best he could come up with. and that wasn't enough.

anyway. onto the fic itself. the bapo fic doesnt really focus on anyone else during the rave. makes sense since it is mostly focused on rich and jake. but i wanted to explore a little more on michael and his relationship with his faith and his sexuality, which is something he struggles with. his parents didn't take it well, he cannot tell his friends, jenna is the only one who knows, and sneaking out of the school grounds is the only time he can shed that persona of who he has to be to make it through school.

he's another opposite to jake in that sense. because even though they're far away from the prying eyes of their classmates and teachers, and many of their friends are too high to even pay any attention, Jake still takes Rich outside to kiss him. Whereas Michael finds a guy to spend the night with until he notices brooke's panic when chloe suddenly isn't doing too well.

this is a statement that goes for the bare characters too, but all of them are under so much pressure to live up to the expectations set for them by the catholic church. even when they think they've got an escape away from the church figures always watching them, they're not alone. which is something michael thinks about

he's struggling a lot with the relationship of his faith and sexuality, which i imagine would lead to some doubts in his faith at some point.

(also i need to note that the choice of 'sebastian' being michael's confirmation name was in reference to st sebastian being referred to as the patron saint of the gays putting it simply. and that is definitely why michael chose sebastian. i have no reasoning for jenna choosing veronica. veronica was the first saint i thought of)

just for fun i want to talk about im so obsessed with your ex. the entire concept came to me because every time i listen to that song, i can't help but read it a little bit sapphic. anyway, a lot of olivia rodrigo songs give off chloe vibes. and i had the concept of it working with madeline as well while i was walking to work. made a post, someone agreed to it, couldn't stop thinking about it, decided to write it. (and somehow the song made it to the top of my on repeat playlist on spotify)

i love writing sapphics and confusing feelings of attraction with feelings of jealousy. it works so well for madeline, chloe, and brooke. but this fic is solely from madeline's pov. and i haven't really written for madeline before, if ever.

it was a mixture of the idea that everything madeline does is for the bit and pissing chloe off, and madeline misplacing her feelings of jealousy because she's totally jealous that chloe gets to date jake, when really chloe is the one she wants. and chloe is the one she thinks about the entire time she's with jake. jake's just a trophy, or a stepping stone to what she really wants. because yeah, jake is fine. he's decent. madeline's not sure she gets the hype but whatever

Yeah, no, I am indeed obsessed. When slim pickins was teased, I'm not gonna lie, I was sceptical about how good the album was gonna be and if my queen was gonna enter her flop era, luckily it was just a "bad time" in a sea of "singular act 1" type situation. So we are so back.

ratings, because duh: 1. Taste - 8/10. When I first listened to it, I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. I was swayed heavily by the music video as I have been in love with Jenna Ortega for pretty much as long as I've been in love with Sabrina Carpenter, so you do the maths. 2. Please Please Please - 7/10 I love it, don't get me wrong, but with the other songs on the album, it's not the best now, is it? 3. Good Graces - 6/10 I didn't love it, and with no music video that kicked in my gay panic. It is probably my least favourite, IT ISN'T BAD BY ANY MEANS. I love the chorus and the beat, but the start is so slow. Very much club music x like a weak 2020 doja cat/ariana grande vibe. like it's not the best. Is it stuck in my head 24/7? sure... so 4. Sharpest Tool - 9/10 the next 3 songs are heavenly and incredible that they are back to back. It's such a beautifully soft song like skinny dipping but slightly hornier and sadder. My vibe completely (I love Conan Gray) 5. Coincidence - 10/10 I love it sooo much. RnBina is back besties. The gospel choir in the chorus. ughhhh. deceased. I died from heavenly tunes. It is such a good song, it's so unapologetically ruthless. Just a song for haters (me.) /j 6. Bed Chem - 10/10!! I'm sure it'll be the biggest mainstream success, this and probably Taste and Juno. But this one is for the same reason Nonsense killed because 1 it's iconic, 2 it's funny as shit, and 3 cause it's catchy as hell. It has been on my mind on repeat for ages. Also lowkey giving Rachel Bloom, someone I'm sure no one reading this knows, she's from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and was youtube famous for singing about touching boobies. I don't wanna talk about it. (sharpest tool reference?) 7. Espresso - 8/10 I used to think Please Please Please was better than this but listening to it again when listening to the whole album, it is actually a masterpiece? no, but it is truly spectacular. but I love it? 8. Dumb & Poetic - 8/10 I enjoy it a lot, it's a little depresso, but based on my explanation of Sharpest Tool's ranking, I think it's clear I enjoy that vibe a little. 9. Slim Pickins - 6/10 I'm so sorry just not my vibe, and "the lord forgot my gay awakening" was a humbling experience. But all jokes aside, I felt like it couldn't decide if it was funny or serious. 10. Juno - 10/10 Are you kidding me, again it's a bit horny, but one of my faves from eics was fast times so it's not an issue for me. 11. Lie To Girls - 8/10 I like it, I think. A bit too real. I feel like it's a song that in like a month or two I've cried to it so I love it, like most most Superache songs, ya get me? 12. Don't Smile - 9/10 Yes, I like this one a lot. its sad as well, but it hits so heavy, the beat is delicious, again its giving doja/ariana for some reason, also "doja/ariana" makes no sense and i under stand that, but it's just a delectable vibe, WHEN DONE RIGHT, (sorry good graces...)

overall 9/10 nothing can beat singular act 1. sorry not sorry (demi lovato reference)

Met Gala 2023 Presented By Me

With this year's theme being "in honor of Karl Lagerfeld", a fashion designer whom I'm learning from the fashion community is "ew", lets see what we got:

~The Models~

-Rihanna being fashionably late, wearing an egg?-like top that opens to reveal a simple yet beautiful dress (she's got a baby bump!); the "no shit" was iconic honestly

-Jared Leto fursuit (its cause he was dressing as Lagerfeld's cat)

-Harvey Guillen coming through with a lovely floral suit, I'm not usually one for light pink but his was very pretty

-Who let Lil Nas X have access to the arts and crafts box (but he looked stunning, the mask was gorgeous and he's got more confidence than most to pull off what I'm now calling a Full Bedazzle)

-Kristen Stewart going full butch queer, the eyebrows and hair were rugged inspired and most didn't like it but I think that was the point?

-Pedro Pascal and his knee against the world (as well as spreading the red is superior agenda cause it is)

-^ but with Salma Hayek cause holy shit this is the red agenda

-Bryan Tyree Henry continuing to remind me how much my taste in men has improved over the years because he is so fucking fine ANYWAY-

-Lizzo giving me feminine gender envy despite the odds

-Janelle Monae doing a Janelle Monae as is customary (I'd love to know what the inspo was for her if so let me know!)

-Bella Ramsey you are so gender thank you (and they served too, the Thom Browne suit with the white accents is simple yet very classy)

-Every year I give one (1) free pass for a man to wear a standard suit, this year goes to Ke Huy Quan because I couldn't say anything bad about him if I tried (at least he had some style, the fingerless gloves were cool)

-Obligatory Gwendoline Christie was there and existed comment by me because I am in love and I am not ashamed of it

-Florence Pugh's fit had mixed reactions, the shaved head, headdress and white dress look were really good but I think the way the dress came out had people not fully digging it, I can understand but I'll appreciate it nonetheless

-Anne Hathaway in all her fuzzy glory (the hair's a beehive on a very felted dress but like it worked? marks for originality and being able to pull it off)

-Loved Stephanie Hsu's bedazzled suit, won't be able to stop thinking about it actually

-Tems was stunning, I'm a huge fan of the floating leaves design we need more nature-inspired looks

-Olivier Rousteing and Jeremy pope slaying with their "Karl who?" and cape apparel

-Gotta shout out Yara Shahidi for going with something unique, the pearl's color palette works surprisingly better than I expected with the gold (personally I would have more gold trim in the top half but that's just me)

-Let Lady Gaga's outfit for the Met Gala this year be a lesson in misinformation because the pictures circulating Tumblr are not in fact from the 2023 Met, she didn't attend (it is a stunning outfit though)

-Jenna Ortega looking almost like a dapper pirate in the absolute best way possible the gender envy the style I am going insane

-Doja Cat living up to her name (Cats should take notes honestly the makeup was really good. She also kept answering reporter questions by meowing. Because she's Doja. Anyway.)

-Anok Yai's dress reminds me of those ornate beaded lampshades, I wonder if that's where she/her designer got the idea

-Emily Blunt giving me gay panic once again WHY IS SHE SO GORGEOUS (she's got a giant fucking bow tie that's what clowns wear why is she able to pull it off this is so unfair)

-Conan Gray looked like an actual prince I am obsessed

-I saw someone said Cardi B was giving goth Barbie and that is honestly the best way to describe it

-Yung Miami having a beautiful look cause her outfit was underrated this year

-I thought Emily Blunt and Bryan Tyree Henry were all I had to worry about and then Julia Garner came in with a steel chair

-Ella Fanning's look captivating me specifically

-And cause I can't comment on every person or we'd be here all day, go check out the underrated outfits from Amanda Seyfried, Alton Mason, Glenn Close, Sora Choi, Ava Max, Jessica Chastain, Taika Waititi and many more!

~Final Thoughts~

-The palette this year was very black and white... literally. Lots of outfits in black, white, or both. I'm not really into the fashion community so I wouldn't know but I'm guessing its a signature theme of Lagerfeld's? Let me know! -I'm also assuming Lagefeld's got a thing for flowers cause there were a lot of flowers imbedded into the outfits, they looked lovely~

-As well as long flowy dress/coat tops cause there were a lot, and I loved how people mixed it in with the flowers. Lots of the men did it this year and it looked fantastic

-Speaking of, I'm proud of the men for actually dressing up this year omfg its insane how many male celebrities will go to a literal fashion event and pull up with nothing but a plain ass suit and though most of them this year did wear suits, there was much pizazz. Like, actual life put into those outfits. So yeah, you love to see it

-Overall, a very nice Met Gala. The crazy stuff came from the usual people who go all out, and we got plenty of highlights from people who embraced the theme, with the occasional unique look to really stick it out

Luke Skywalker is in Tunisia and at his home and yeah there's one in Los Angeles but this is not where it is and it would be a different story and people do get that confused. And he is coming out to look at the Sun and the death Star and he is going to be dismayed it's only moments away just seconds please huge and orange for some reason and since why is it like that since I must be the sun is bouncing off it for some reason he comes out and he sees an outline of it he says you can see it so he puts it on the radio and there's a panic and all of them are panicking and they hear the radio we're going to hit you if you try and move and it's Trump and he gets it out if they start warming up to hit it so they will spend all night fighting. It's now turning a deep Orange in the same color as the sun it's in the atmosphere no but that's what the atmosphere makes it look like and it looks really white in space and you can see it and the cloak is down no it's because it's reflecting and it will wear off in a few minutes and it's starting to go away now and he went and got his camera and he's taking pictures it says absolutely beautiful this is I'm not gay Scott Smith but that's that's a beautiful picture right there and something for the museum so he's going to keep it and put it in the museum it's an interesting shot it's real history
