it would be really funny if suzy started working for lovemuffin when she was older/began a career in villainy. and it would be EXTREMELY funny if jeremy knew her career path and tried to tell candace. not to try and stop her or anything, but just to share the news. and candace is like "listen i know suzy and i had our differences in the past but we've moved past that now, you don't have to validate me or anything. we're like. fine." and jeremy is like no i'm serious she's evil like she has evil schemes and stuff, she's really good at it too. and candace is like are you guys having an argument or something.

pls explain the Gravity Falls+PnF au to me. I'm guessing PnF are heading to Gravity Falls, but from there I'm not really sure what'd happen. you're au's usually have a plot and I genuinely have no idea how'd you plot this

Yay! I can talk about the AU!

This is only the bare-bones of it, because I'm still working out technical bumps, but it's basically a substitution AU, where the PnF characters would be taking on the roles and plots from Gravity Falls. I can give a run down on who'll be doing what:

Phineas, Ferb and Candace will share the Dipper and Mabel roles between them, with traits, events and roles split between the three. Their premise is also the same--siblings, sent to stay with a great-uncle in Gravity Falls.

Buford and Baljeet will gain 40+ years of age and take on the Stan and Ford roles respectively, although they would only be best friends, rather than twins--although I am seriously considering making them stepbrothers, for the sake of narrative parallels--Gravity Falls IS big on narrative parallels. (I haven't yet ironed all the bumps out, but I will. Oh yes, I will

Isabella won't take the place of any specific character, but rather, she'd play a similar role that Fiddleford plays in Relativity AU's--i.e. she'd be an extra friend/love interest kid character who hangs out nigh-constantly with the core siblings

Soos and Wendy will be consolidated into one character--the very chill, very helpful, very nice, and very Cool Teenager(TM) shack handyman, who is none other than Jeremy Johnson

Bill Cipher will still be Bill Cipher. This might surprise you.

Dr. Doofenshmirtz will be, surprisingly, in the Old Man McGucket role.

The Gideon role will naturally be taken by Little Suzy Johnson

Vanessa is the trickiest to explain in this AU. So she is Doof's daughter, but considering that he's gone Off His Rocker a little bit she's been taken in by her Uncle Roger (who is filling the Preston Northwest role), and spends a good portion of her story trying to avoid association with her father. She'll fill the Pacifica niche, although she won't be as mean, more just dismissive.

Stacy will be the Candy/Grenda figure.

Carl is Thompson. No notes.

I can just imagine Ferb’s single episode line. Directed at sokka who’s been trying to make him laugh all episode. “You try too hard”. It would deal Sokka psychological damage. I like to think it’d make Mai laugh though.

Candace would be….unimpressed with Zuko. Far too angsty for her. He’d probably try to give her a life lesson though. Mai would find Jeremy amusing. Almost like a science project. They’re both basically fairly easy going people. Just at different ends of the spectrum. So they’d probably get along more or less.

Suki would try to teach Stacy how to fight. It would not go well. But she’d try. And at the end of the day. Isn’t that what truly matters?

Toph would put them all in danger though. Perry would have to try and take her down. She’d be able to sense the OWCA locations under the garden.

Vanessa would be driven to tears of distraction by Ty Lee’s unending perkiness. Then her dark side is revealed. And Vanessa gets a new friend. Until the perkiness comes back. Then OWCA gets a new recruit.

Heinz gets some unintentional therapy from Iroh. Ie; Iroh just wants to make tea but Heinz sees it as profound philosophical metaphors which he completely and utterly understands. Ironically when Iroh actually does try to give him advice. Heinz is completely, utterly and totally lost. Go figure huh?

Momo likes Buford. Buford gives him biscuits and cheese. Then Buford feeds him far, far too much biscuits and cheese. And he tries his utmost to escape. A flying lemur can only take so much food you know? It’s not Buford’s fault. But Momo only has so much room for that amount of food you know?

Baljeet initially thinks that Appa is one of the boys Daily Projects. Then Appa eats half the grass. And Baljeet is proved wrong. Needless to say he does not take that very well. But he eventually calms down enough that he’s comfortable with flying. Even if Appa’s saddle doesn’t have any proper seatbelts.

Candace and Zuko go to great physical, mental, emotional and psychological pains to ensure that Suzy and Azula never, ever meet. Because they know that the world would stand absolutely zero hope of survival if that ever happened.

I believe that every show should have their own Ferb TV episode. Just one episode where everyone has their own TV show for no reason and at least one character says "holy guacamole you sure are a handful!"

No Internet, Suzy Johnson is not a Hatesink

I saw that the Hate Sink WIki and TV tropes listed Suzie Johnseon from Phineas and Ferb as a hatesink and I really don't get why.

For those of you who don't know, a hatesink is a special type of character that the audience is meant to hate. These characters do occasionally have redeeming or cool qualities, but they get overshadowed by their bad personality to the point you loathe heir mere existence or at least this is the author's intentions.

While pure evil villains can be hatesinks, they don't qualify if they have enough cool qualities for the audience to be entertained by them. Take for instance Scar from the original Lion King. He has no redeeming qualities, but he is also has tons of charisma and col qualities. Now this doesn't mean that the intentions was to not feel hatred towards his evil deeds. The reason he does not qualify as a hatesink is because he is overall entertaining to watch and he is also meant to be this way.

Jerks can aslo qualify as hatesinks, but not if they show a decent amount of redeeming qualities, are no worse than an average jerk or have entertaining qualities like for example being funny.

Now that I'm done with the definition of hatesink, let's move on to Suzie Johnson and see if the definition applies.

She is Jeremy's younger sister. She sees herself as the most important girl in Jeremy's life and she won't allow any other girl to take her place. Because of this, she antagonizes Candace. The Hatesink Wiki and TV Tropes list her antagonism towards Candace as a reason why she is a hatesink. Now sure, Suzie loses sympathy points for this, but as I mentioned, being unsympathetic isn't the same as being a hatesink. Not only that, but Suzie's actions while evil, are not meant to be taken seriously. The way she hurts Candace is through cartoony slapstick, from which Candace recovers fast, or through over the top, ridiculous plans, that are not possible in real life nor would it be possible for a real child her age to implement.

Can you seriously look at this image and think we are supposed to take Suzie's evil plans seriously?

Furthermore, her ability to come up with such complex plans is pretty impressive. Charisma often prevents a villain from being a hatesink or at least makes them a little impressive.

Another reason why I don't consider her a hatesink is because her evil deeds, on top of being played for laughs, are seriously NOT THAT bad. Now, don't get me wrong, she is extremely selfish and manipulative, but as long as she doesn't think you get in her way, she won't antagonize you. In "Suddently Suize" she revealed she doesn't want to antagonize Candace as long as Jeremy isn't around and she kept her promise. She even wanted to make paper dolls with Candace and taught her how to manipulate her own brothers, even though Suzie had nothing to gain from it. Sure, it's no much of a redeeming quality, but it gives Suzie some nuance, even if not that much. As for her manipulating people to get what she wants by being cute, tormenting Candace aside (she probably tormented others for similar reasons too, but again, only if you get in her way and her evil plans are played for laughs) what she gets isn't really hurting anyone. All we saw her get was Jeremy spending time with her and Phineas giving her juice. I don't condone her actions, but it doesn't seem like she outright hurts Jeremy or Phineas.

There is also the whole thing of Bufford being scared of her. Look, Bufford is or at least used to be a bully. Sure, he got tons of character development and he became way nicer, but he has engaged in bullying before, so it is possible that he provoked Suzie in some way. It is never revealed why she terrorized him or what exactly she did either. Bufford's fear of her is also played for laughs.

Moving on to what I consider the biggest counterargument to Suzy being a hatesink, her appearance in "Nerds of a Feather". In that episode Suzy wasn't manipulating or hurting anyone. She acted like a realistic kid her age. All she wanted to do was see children's stuff with her brother at a convention. She truly loves Ducky Momo.

Ducky Momo loves her too. Actually, it's Candace in a costume. Suzy would've antagonized her again had she known it, but Candace certainly recognized Suzy and truly meant those wirds judging by her happy facial expression which was shown in a scene and she didn't have to make it, since her face is completely covered.

If you hate Suzie and think I failed at changing your opinion, that was never my intention. I am not arguing against your personal feelings towards the character. I am not claiming you should find her funny, entertaining or like her. I don't claim your feelings towards this character are wrong. However, just because some people hate her, this doesn't mean it was the creators' intention. The definition of hatesink refers to the intention of the creator, not the end result. I was arguing against the idea that it was the creators' intention to make Suzie hateable. Given all the points I listed, they clearly intended to make her a funny, charismatic antagonist and they even gave her redeeming qualities.

GAME THEORY: the Johnsons are an Evil Family

during my rewatch of pnf, i have recently concocted the headcanon that the johnson family has a legacy of evil. you know, not like Evil-evil, but the dwampyverse brand of evil that exists more as a career path than a morality system. here's my reasoning for each member

suzy - self-explanatory. she's an evil prodigy and will have a lucrative career climbing up the lovemuffin corporate ladder when she gets older. she's even getting in some good nemesis experience with candace

hildegard - has an affinity for cheating in roller derby. has the personality for it. i also think she 100% views betty jo as her nemesis but betty jo doesn't know what that is.

hawkeye - okay her name is literally hawkeye which is a perfect evil name. she's also very proficient with munitions.

jack - besides jeremy, he seems the most unassuming, but maybe his job at the space lab grants him access to tech he couldn't otherwise use...

annabelle - when doof's (evil) building was being foreclosed, she showed a LOT of interest in it (new evil hq). she also loved the gargoyles (evil decor). AND she had a job in an anvil-hanging factory. who hangs anvils besides like bugs bunny or some shit? cartoon villains. extremely evil-coded activity

nicolette - yeah her stories about swimming with piranhas and other such activities are from a video game. but i think it would be really funny if that was just her cover story. she's actually doing all that shit and telling people its from tomb raider or something and shes stealing jewels as a hobby

jeremy - he's actually the black sheep of the family. he doesn't have an evil bone in his body. his mom and dad tried to get him interested in laser guns, scheming, and spike pits when he was little and it never stuck. but even though he'll never work in the family business, they love him anyway.

is this theory 100% serious? not really...OR IS IT. do i like it and think it's fun? YES!!!
