Since I’m a sucker for rare pairs, I decided to draw these two since I had them interact one time in a story. 😂

Jessica and Kaylee for the ship ask thing
Ship It
What made you ship it? Other fans' ideas about them made me consider them! They seem cute together, especially as some of Louise's closest friends who would feasibly hang out.
What are your favorite things about the ship? Jessica can probably calm Kaylee down, whereas Kaylee is very gracious when she's not panicking. They can balance each other out.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I think that a lot of shippers put these two together as a means to get them out of the way of other Louise ships. Jessica is one of Louise's most popular shipmates and Kaylee is gaining traction as well. If you like louigan/roudise/whatever but don't want to bash other shipmates, pairing them together is an easy way to favor your preferred ship. There's nothing wrong with this (complementary ships are great), but it does make me wonder if shippers like jesslee for themselves/their dynamic or just because pushing them together protects a different ship.

Jesslee. My single brain cell likes rare pairs, okay?
I experimented with a subtle “noise” overlay. I don’t entirely know what means lol but I liked the way it made the colors and texture look.

Rarepair ask: Kaylee and Jessica
Jessica and Kaylee can work! Jessica isn't nearly as boring as Louise first thinks and she has some interesting theories. However, Kaylee canonically fears rejection, while Jessica is terrified of being found out so that can trip them up. Still, they can bond over their feelings of alienation. Louise has a tendency to bring others out of their shells, so Jessica and Kaylee are both braver in general. Jessica is the one to ask Kaylee out first and Kaylee is courageous enough to accept.
