Why?

Ten years ago, during that travesty of a trial against your close friend Genshin, you stepped up to the witness stand to defend him. You even destroyed said stand in your fury.

A few days later, when commanded by Stronghart, **you chose to put a bullet to your friend's heart**. You had a choice, and yet you chose to betray that friend you had tried to defend with all your might.

To my anonymous writer,

I don't think that it is possible to explain the kind of duress I was under on that fateful night. I fully believed in Genshin's innocence. He was my best friend. I would not have destroyed court property if I had not believed that I was correct.

When you are given an order by someone who terrifies and awes you in equal amounts, who holds their fate in your hands, who is urging, demanding that you do something drastic for the fate of yourself and your friends, what do you do? If I had not shot Genshin, I think Stronghart would have shot him instead. I do not believe there was any chance he would have made it out of that cemetery alive.

I was foolish, selfish, reckless, and manipulated. I was too much of a coward to stand up to this order, the time pressure and possibility of Yuujin being caught in the crosshairs... I can never forgive myself for what I did. I hope nobody can forgive me. I deserve every torture in the world.

But nothing I ever do can bring him back.

one thing I do wonder about the whole professor case is why Jigoku didn't shoot Enoch. One would think he'd much prefer to kill some random graverobber than a man he considered a friend, and given Genshin's position, would be easier to cover up. He wouldn't have time to think through all the consequences in that moment, but surely both he and Vortex realized that killing Genshin would be an issue of international diplomacy if it ever got out (and, you know, potentially set off a 10 year-long chain reaction ending with both of them in prison). Even without knowing who Enoch was, it still seems like the less risky choice to me 🤨

Today, I’m here to showcase a little bit more of The Great Ace Attorney Pokemon AU. I’m not marking spoilers because I’m only showing characters without any details.

That said, here’s a few more trainers and their Pokémon teams!

Again, no real specific type specializations for anyone. But there’s a couple Easter Eggs among these teams, and hopefully some of you will be able to catch them.

Note: Retired Pokémon Trainers like Barok and Jigoku simply live calm lives wherever they are and don’t have any ambitions anymore. Pokémon Philanthropists like Vortex are people who put in a lot of effort and spend a lot of money for the benefits of Pokémon and their trainers. They get a lot of power and influence in return for their altruism.
