Imagine: You are new in town and your parents take you to the freak show where you meet the famous ‘lobster boy’.

It was your first time ever being in Jupiter, your parents moving here for work and while you were over eighteen years old, you still lived with them. You had been picked on and bullied all your life for not fitting in with society’s standards of beauty. You had always been chubbier than the other girls in school and even when you tried to make an effort, they would bring you down. When people on the streets started to chuck food and sweets at you on the way home, your parents knew something had to be done. 

The police in your home town did nothing, said they would issue warnings out about that kind of behaviour but it did nothing, it may have even encouraged them to do it more often. So here you were, in Jupiter, with your parents. You didn’t get a good feeling about this place but your mother assured you that it was because you were new to it and you’d get used to it over time. 

Their attempts to cheer you up had been unsuccessful until your father suggested the two of you go to the freak show in town. You had perked up, feeling excited. You didn’t agree with calling them freaks but you loved seeing people who were different, like you. You thought that they were beautiful and should be celebrated for standing out of the crowd. 

It was about five in the evening when you and your parents headed to the freak show, all three of you excited to see what it was like. You’d never actually been to one before but you’d heard about them from when classmates talked about them before. They sounded disgusted or amused but you were very interested to see what these people looked like.

“Come on dear, you look beautiful, hurry up or we’ll miss the show.” You had struggled with what to wear for the show but your mother helped you out and picked out a nice white sundress that was tight around your bust and flowed around your waist, showing of your curves and giving you an hourglass figure. You had a cream coloured cardigan on as well, to match with your pumps that you were wearing. Your mother always told you that you were the most beautiful girl she’d ever seen but you never believed her, thinking she was only telling you that because you are her daughter. 

There wasn’t many people at the freak show and when you went up to pay for tickets, there was a man standing there with a confident smile on his face. He was very attractive and just looking at him made you blush. Your mother and father both noticed this so your mother nudged you forward to get the tickets. Nervously, you stepped forward and you caught his eye, “Hey darlin’, what can I get for you?” You blushed and tucked a loose piece of hair behind your ear, “I need three tickets to the show please.” You bit your bottom lip out of nervousness and Jimmy thought it was the cutest thing he’s ever seen. 

He leaned over his stand and handed you the tickets, “Anything for a pretty girl like you.” He winked as you handed him the money but instead of being disgusted hen you saw his hands, like most people, you smiled wider. Jimmy thought for sure, he could’ve fallen in love with you right then and there. You walked back over to your parents and gave them their tickets, your mother smiling at you, “He definitely likes you sweetheart, you should find him after the show and talk to him.” 

Your father just nodded in agreement and the three of you walked inside. There was only about five other people in there so you got to sit in the front row. Your eyes were wide with awe the whole time and you applauded after every act. You could see that Elsa, the leader you thought, was very pleased with your reactions, especially to her own performance. 

Jimmy didn’t go on stage this time but he was behind the curtains, looking at you the whole time. There was never a moment when you looked at one of the ‘freaks’ with disgust, only interest or fascination. He managed to lock eyes with your mother during one part and she gave him a knowing smile, looking between him and you before turning her attention back to the show. 

After the show was finished, the few others that had stayed were quick to leave and your mother told you that they would wait for you in the car. You had been confused but when you turned around, you saw the guy from earlier walking over to you. “Hey, I’m Jimmy by the way. Jimmy Darling.” Smiling to yourself, you outstretched your hand, “I’m (Y/N) (Y/L/N), me and my family just moved here.” Jimmy took your hand but instead of shaking it, he brought it up to his lips and kissed the back of your hand. 

You thought your face couldn’t get any redder but then Jimmy winked at you, “I hope to see you around, it’s not very often that we get a beautiful girl like you over here.” You nodded, “I hope so.” Jimmy smiled at you and turned to leave but you called out his name. He turned around to face you again and you bit your lip again before saying, “I like your hands.” 

It was Jimmy’s turn to blush while you were quick to turn around and head to your parents’ car, where they had both been watching the whole thing. Jimmy looked down at his hands and smiled to himself, thinking, for once, that maybe they weren’t so bad after all.

Do I dare look at the price tag swinging off one of his sweater's sleeves? I dare! Oh my god- I wait, it's not that much, twenty-five dollars isn't that bad. However, my heart dropped, discovering my thumb was covering up the rest.

I don’t need a calculator to tell me his closet cost more than my well being. How could he afford luxury goods to this extent? I would understand one or two expensive things like I have a pair of diamond studs I wear that my grandmother gifted me for my eighteenth birthday but, his collection is on a different level entirely. He has a personalized Rolex encrusted with purple diamonds and his signature ‘JJK’ engraved on the dial.

Thinking about it, when dating Jungkook, money was no object, and on the flight here, I tried to make an excuse involving me not wanting to seem like a gold digger, but he gave a soft grin in response.

A private jet, big brand name clothing, real jewelry, and a beautiful beachside home, yet he hasn't spoken a word about his occupation-Dear god, Y-You don't think Jungkook could be..Gulps in some type of Korean mafia, do you?! With his cute demeanor and doll-like features, nobody would be none the wiser.

My mother was right. Men are nothing but trouble. If I had taken my aunt's advice and became a nun, this mess wouldn't have happened.

But the topic neither here nor there, right now, The issue is who in god’s name did I marry? Oh, What’s this? A darling shimmering french rose present stole my attention, as well as a neon purple postage note taped on the end of the ribbon, labeled “ To My Carrot.”

I guess that’s me. I pinched the ribbon and tugged at it but froze when an epiphany hit me; the box is rather heavy. What if the pretty decoration is a cover-up to mask the insidious evil within. WHAT IF it’s a severed head of a well-known mafia boss who was foolish enough to move on Jungkook’s turf, and it’s some kind of barbaric tradition to give your loved one their nemesis.

Only one way to find out, I attempted to keep my quaking hand steady as I unraveled the ribbon, but when coming to lifting the top, I got ahead of myself and let out a blood-curdling scream while falling back on the bed.

A series of heavy footsteps paraded upstairs. The sound resembles the rumble of thunder. The brother's crowded the door frame, shocking no Jungkook to be found. They bombarded me like I was their baby sister who came home from school in tears.

“ You ok? “ Taehyung coddled me and stayed at my side. “ Is it your ankle again?!”

I opened my mouth, but Jimmie interrupted me. “ Did Jungkook’s taste in room design scare you?” He coos, snuggling my other side.

“ Oi! Give her some air! “ Mr.Jin snatched up the youngest by their collars, dragging them away from my side and back to the door frame. “We’re sorry for running in, but we just wanted to make sure you alright.”

They were so worried about a stranger? That's sweet. “ No, I'm sorry for the scare. I'm just fine-”

“ Kitten! “

Last but not least, Jungkook stumbled in, nearly knocking over his brothers to stampede into my arms. Before I utter a sound from my lips, He tucked me close to his chest. He smells so sweet but feels hard due to him working out for fun and has the scent of warm honey.

I could just melt. Jungkook pulled away but kept hold of my hands. Hands so large, pink pretty-and TATTOOS!? When did he!? This confirms everything! The tattoos symbol the way of the mafia and the blood they mercilessly spill.

“ Don’t touch me!” I threw his hands aside, taking cover behind the closet door. “ How could do such a disgusting thing, you-you murderer!!? Prison would be a paradise for a devil-like you.”

“Babe, The fur is not real.”

Fur? What fur?

Kook held up a lingerie robe laced with fur along the bottom and sleeves from the box, No blood, No dismembered body part insight. Jungkook whined. “ The hair is fake l, I thought you would like it better that way, but you look like you seen a dead body.”

“I don’t want anything you bought with your blood money.”

Narrative’s Pov

“Blood?”

“Money?”

The return of the questions. The brothers held their heads in a slight tilt while the little lady went on about Jungkook imaginary gangsta background. In reality, the closest Jungkook got into any physical activity is in his boxing and martial art classes. Such a false acquisition made them double over in tears of laughter, even Jungkook.

Namjoon being the leader, took the responsibility to explain their wealth and occupation through pictures and videos. “ BTS is our band name; We are well known internationally.”

But by Yn blank expression, that may not be true. “ Never heard of you.”

“They aint like any other family.” Jimmy laughed and slyly put his hands in his pocket as a family approached around the corner. “They’re all a bit…”

“A bit like you?” You reached into his pocket and pulled out his more famous than most hand and brought it back out into the sunlight. “Don’t be ashamed of your differences, Jimmy. You should be proud of what makes you unique.”

“Shame most folk don’t see it that way. If I had a nickel for every time somebody looked at me funny for these things, I wouldn’t have to work for the show. I can’t believe you’ve lived round these parts all your life and you’ve never been to see us.” He stepped in front to open the door to the ice-cream parlor, you couldn’t believe how lucky you were to be going home to meet Jimmy’s family.

“I can’t lie, I’ve been curious since I’ve seen the banners, I just couldn’t bring myself to support an establishment that exploits the different.” Jimmy pulled his hand from yours and once again burrowed it, making well sure that it was hidden from everybody else.

“Elsa treats us well, don’t you worry about that.” He said, stepping up to the counter. “One scoop black cherry and one scoop vanilla for me please, and whatever they want.” He gestured you forward to order.

“Can I just get a scoop of chocolate please?” The cheery, rosy cheeked man happily agreed to your requests and promptly rang your charges through the till.

“That’ll be 15 cents please my good sir.” He outstretched his chubby, rounded fingers out to Jimmy who you could see become more uncomfortable as the seconds went by. “I haven’t got all day sir. 15 cents… you wouldn’t want your partner here to go without ice-cream now would you?”

“No, no of course not.” His hand moved around his pocket before emerging with a small collection of coins between his fingers. The server gasped loudly, drawing the attention of most of the patrons. “Look, just take the money, we weren’t going to eat it in here anyway.” Jimmy dropped the money onto the counter and didn’t bother hiding them now that everybody had already seen them.

“I don’t want to serve your kind.” He pushed the money back towards you and called the next person from behind you.

“Now hold on a minute.” You stopped Jimmy as he tried to leave. “We’re paying just as much as everybody else. What problem do you have just because his hands don’t look like yours.”

“I already said, his kind don’t have a place in the real world, go back to that tent with the rest of ‘em.”

The two of you would be walking down the street when he hears someone catcalling you. Immediately, you’d have to hold his hand and drag him away before he can go over and beat them up. He’d be ten times more clingy for the rest of the week, holding you close to him at every opportunity and will be kissing you as much as possible to the point where you have to push him off of you, “Stop, I need to go to work.” “But I’m not done showing my girl who she belongs to.” 

Kyle 

Kyle wouldn’t say much at first, preferring to keep quiet because he trusted you to deal with the annoying guy trying to get your number. If he didn’t go away, then Kyle would get involved, starting a fight. You would have to pull him away before he killed the guy and once you were home, Kyle would hold you close and hide his head in your chest, not saying anything for a while, but would whimper if you tried to move away from him. You’d stay like for a while and you would have to reassure him that you don’t want anyone else and he didn’t do anything wrong. 

Jimmy 

Depending on where it was, Jimmy would have mixed reactions. If it was at the show, he would have no problems starting a fight with the guys who haven’t stopped staring at you because he knew the others had his back. If the two of you were in town and he saw some guys winking at you and making rude comments, he would be hesitant to do something because of the bad reputation he already has. You would put his mind at ease by kissing him in the middle of the street and Jimmy would glare at the men as he wrapped his arm around you. 

James

James would straight up just kill anyone who looked at you in a lustful way, you were his and his alone. He wouldn’t do it himself of course, he didn’t want to risk having the heathens hanging around the hotel with you for all eternity. He would have John track them down and kill them for him. Once he knew they were dead, he’d steal you away from whatever you were doing into his room, “I hope you don’t mind me keeping you up all night, my dear, I feel I’ve earned it.” 

Rory

When Rory notices someone checking you out, he would feel uncomfortable and immediately try to make a joke out of it, “Isn’t she just the sexiest thing you’ve ever seen? Too bad she’s taken.” He would laugh it off but stand close to you all night, holding your hand, pulling you onto his lap, kissing you, anything to keep touching you. 

Kai

Kai would no doubt be pissed as fuck. If a guy dares to look at you longer than he permits, he would lash out and attack them, beating them up until they were almost dead, he’d have to be pulled off them. Kit

After loosing two women that he loved before, it had taken him a while to be able to love you as well. When you told him you wanted to break up, he could take it one of two ways. He could either let you leave because he wanted you to be happy even if it wasn’t with him, or he wouldn’t let you leave. He needed you with him so he wasn’t all alone. He would never hurt you but he would have to put it in your head that you needed him as much as he needed you. 

Kyle

Kyle immediately breaks down, you had been there for him for a long time. Almost everything he knew involved you, he loved you. He wouldn’t physically try to stop you leaving him but would mumbling broken sentences as to why you should stay with him as he cries. When you go to hug him to calm him down, he would hold you close and beg you to stay, hoping his vulnerability would convince you to stay. 

JImmy

After his mother died, he had clung onto you like never before, it was the main reason why you wanted to break up. Jimmy would be angry at first, blaming himself for not treating you how you deserved. He would then tell you how much you meant to him and that he needs you, “Please baby, I promise I can change, just give me another chance.” He wouldn’t stop talking until he’s sure you weren’t going to leave him. 

James

James appears to be very calm and collected when you tell him that maybe it would be best to have a break from each other. He tells you that he understands but in his head, he is hatching a plan to get you back to him. He would have Sally and her little monster to try to scare you back into his arms. If that doesn’t work, he would have John kill you so you wouldn’t be able to leave him again, keeping you forever with him. 

Rory

Rory is an emotional person but when you tell him you want to break things off, he is speechless. He would feel like things were good between the two of you so he wouldn’t know what to say. He would have a mental breakdown and just drink his pain away, alone, away from everyone else. He wouldn’t realise that he should’ve fought for you until it was too late and you had moved on. 

Kai

Kai’s original reaction is to be angry, he loved you and this is how you repay him? He would be confused as to why you wanted to leave him, but then he would be similar to James and calm down so he can make a plan to bring you back to him. He let you believe you could walk away but you should’ve known that Kai wasn’t going to let you leave that easily.

Kit would feel very indifferent towards your body modifications, he wouldn’t really care about them. He would admire your tattoos when he’s watching you get changed but he would have mixed feelings about any of your extra piercings, especially if they’re on your face. He would be wary about you showing them off in public, knowing you would be judged. 

Kyle

Kyle loves them, they make you different from everyone and he likes that. He feels less of a freak knowing that you are different too. Like Tate, he likes to trace his fingers over your tattoos but he doesn’t play with your piercings, he’d be too afraid he might accidentally hurt you. He gets excited when you get more, wanting to be the first person to see your new tattoos and piercings so he can see how excited you are about them. 

Jimmy

You are almost completely covered in tattoos and piercings and Jimmy thinks it’s hot. He won’t hesitate to tell you that either. You would often catch him just staring at your tattoos with a cute smile on his face, “What are you looking at?” “I dunno, but it looks cool.” If he could, he would buy you more studs and rings for your piercings, then you could wear it all the time and be reminded of him, If anyone judged you for having them, he wouldn’t hesitate to beat them up; you were beautiful to him. 

James

You look different to any woman he’s ever seen before and it intrigues him. The concept of tattoos and piercings isn’t one he’s very familiar with so he strikes up most conversations asking about your tattoos and piercings. He likes to learn about them, “Fascinating! Kai would act like he doesn’t care but on the inside he thinks they’re pretty fucking hot. He secretly wishes that you would get a tattoo of him or relating to him to show your loyalty to him. You would catch him staring at your tattoos with a smirk which told you what he really thought about your tattoos. Piercings are a little iffy for him if you have quite a few, he would find them a little annoying but wouldn’t say anything cause he doesn’t really want to hurt your feelings.
