ma jingxiang is probably the trainee with the worst mistreatment in any mnet shows. it breaks my heart reading about how he was so happy when mnet used his face as the promotion poster for the show only to not broadcast the episode of him getting picked as the visual center by the other tranees, gave him 0 screentime, evil edited him, cut all his scenes and many more ): he genuinely wanted to be an idol why must they destroyed his dream like that it's genuinely heartbreaking and i hope he's okay now. he's obviously in the verge of mental breakdown during ep 7. whatever happens, i will always support him.

The new transferred student had been ignoring your attempts to become his friend, however you weren't gonna give up that easily (and maybe his shyness was in the way)

The sound of the birds chirping outside at only 8 a.m woke you up from your trance as you were on your bus on the way to college.

When you got there it was quite early, your bus seemed to have taken a different route and the journey was much shorter than the previous ones.

As you got out the cold and chilly wind wrapped your whole figure giving you chills, literal chills.

You tried to warm up by hugging yourself repeatedly to create some sort of friction on your skin and make you feel warm, however as you were too busy doing that you couldn't see the tall boy that was coming your way, and before you knew it...

Boom

You clashed into him not causing much movement due to his height, but he quickly caught your wrist before you could fall to the ground.

As you stabilised yourself you noticed the jacket that seemed to have been once on his figure laying on the floor, so acting by reflex you crouched down to pick it up for him.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I got distracted"

He just stared at you blankly bowing his head letting you know that it wasn't a problem to him. You then offered him his jacket that had fallen.

"Sorry again, here's your jacket. I'm y/n btw"

"Ma-ma jingxiang"he shacked your hand timidly

"Mm, cool, umm your jacket"

"Ta-take it you seem to need it more"

Right there he started walking away as you just stared at his back too surprised to do something, and just when you reacted he had already headed inside. So you opted to just take the kind gesture, put on the jacket that was too big on you and started heading inside the building.

As you were having your first class you discovered that the mysterious guy whose jacket was over your shoulders was none other than the newly transferred student from China everyone was talking about and to say that you were excited was an understatement. Being as extroverted as you were,was really helpful when trying to make new friends, so you were quite confident on making him feel welcome and all of that.

"Y/n, where's that from?"asked you jongwoo

"What is from where?"you asked slightly confused

"The jacket"

And that's when you realised, you hadn't returned it yet.

"Oh, the new kid lend it to me when I was cold"

"The new kid? He is quite the quiet one though, he hasn't spoke properly to anyone yet"

"Well I'll be the first one then"

And just like that you approached his table and seated right next to him smiling brightly.

"Hi jingxiang, how you doing!"

"Uh- um- hi"

"Not much of a speaker are ya? By the way, thank you for the jacket, it really kept me warm"

"No problem..."

You were about to say something else but he suddenly stand up and excused himself.

"I- I've got to go,sorry" and just like that he hurriedly got out of there not giving you enough time to even say something.

Your friends laughed at the situation because after seeing how determined you were to be his friend it almost seemed like he had run away from you.

"Way to go y/n, you've already scared him off"jay said as everyone giggled.

But you weren't just gonna leave it like that, you would definitely be his first friend.

Day by day you tried everything to get closer to ma jingxiang, and when I say everything I really mean it.

You approached him on lunch time, but every single time he came up with some cheap ass excuse. You also tried to ask him for the class notes but he always told you that he didn't have them as well (when it was pretty obvious he had been paying attention throughout the lesson).

You even offered to accompany home as you had overheard from some of your friends that he didn't know that well the neighbourhood yet, but he dismissed himself saying his friends would be glad to guide them (when their faces said quite the contrary).

At this point you were starting to get frustrated and really sad about the situation, seeing him smile shyly at his friends (because you weren't able to be his first one) and even make some funny remarks made your heart ache. Where you too persistent? Too annoying? The guy just seemed to not want to be your friend at all, not even have a normal and short conversation, not even a short one!

You were starting to regret everything, all the efforts you were putting into becoming someone close to him, so you were thinking on just stop trying.

But the universe had other plans for you as your teacher had partnered you up with him for an upcoming project, all your hopes returned instantly as he would be forced to be stucked with you for a while.

"So, jingxiang, have you thought of any ideas for our assignment?"

"We-well, I was thinking of incorporating (whichever thing you want, don't know what project you would like 💀) if that's okay with you"

"Oh, that's so brilliant! How can you have such great ideas? You are a genius!"

Just hearing you compliment him so effortlessly made his heart rate quicken its pace. Why? Easy. He actually found you kinda cute. Looking your way when you were laughing about a joke, or smiling to himself when you did something silly.

The reason he left you and runned away everytime? He actually panicked and couldn't think straight because how can someone so pretty and nice talk to him like that? His heart couldn't take it 😫

"Would you want to discuss this after classes? Maybe we can get lunch together!"you said excitedly

But this time, maybe due to the smile you flashed him or the excitement in your voice, he didn't run away. He couldn't bring himself to do it, besides he thought it was the moment to finally become closer.

"Sure"

Wait what? He accepted? He actually did? At last?

You couldn't feel happier at that moment, all your effort paying off after so long.

Maybe it was worth it as after that you finally could grow closer to each other (and maybe even closer that you had expected 👀)

They seemed to get along at first(both being from Shanghai and 2004 liners/same age friends), but there was an incident in the show where they had a conflict/argument/fight and they both ended up getting evil edited. May you also read their feelings/thoughts on that and their thoughts/feelings on how Mnet treated the two of them as well(South Korean survival shows’s xenophobia/sinophobia and questionable treatment of Chinese contestants/trainees)? Unfortunately, their individual fandoms now hate each other, since the edits ended up bringing Jing Xiang and his reputation/image down, while Ricky’s popularity and ranking only continued to go up and rise despite the edits. May you also check the status of their relationship/friendship or how it was like between the two of them when they were together? AN: For those of you who aren't apart of the video game community and aren't aware of the game Lethal Company, for some context it's basically a fun survival horror game where you go to different moons and go into a building looking for different materials to then sell to reach a quota for your job. Each mean has it's own difficulty with different monsters. (I think it can still be enjoyable regardless if you know about the game or not!)

Sometimes the different creatures that lived in the facility didn’t always get along. One thing they could agree on though is that they didn’t take lightly to people invading their home, their moon. Ricky especially was one of those creatures. There were others, such as Gyuvin who weren’t as protective of it so to speak. Then there were others like Hao, who were like him. The only two who could go in and out of the facility without getting caught easily. It was a risk to be out for the others unless it was night and they were alone. Or alternatively, Gunwook or Jingxiang who lived in the outside terrain of the moon.

They all worked together for the most part to scare the intruders off, at least somewhat. Those intruders had come back to their home, seeking items that belonged to them just to sell them off. The intruders were always easy to spot, if you didn’t hear their loud spacecraft land then you would easily hear how loud they were as they entered inside their home. Loud talking as they ran around, searching for their things. 

Ricky kept an eye on them, out of sight, observing their behaviors and mannerisms. What differentiated a specific person from the other. That was probably the most interesting thing about the intruders, their behaviors and how he could replicate them. All it would take is for one to be separated from the rest and he could take action. He just had to wait for one of the others to do their thing, stray an intruder from its path. 

Thanks to Jiwoong, that exactly happened. The bracken scaring one of the intruders, the poor thing stared in his eyes a little too long and was now being dragged off to his hyung’s favorite spot. His room, one which was sound proof. Nobody would hear the shrieks of laughter. This was Ricky’s chance to sneak his way in, shifting to make himself look like the intruder that was taken away, mimicking his voice perfectly.

He walked up to the group, carrying a thing of perfume in hand to seem less suspicious. “Have you seen anything strange yet?” Intruder #1 spoke, looking directly at him. Ricky shook his head “Nothing yet, I haven’t gone too far yet though. Hopefully the monsters aren’t awake yet.” Intruder #1 nodded then started heading to the left with Intruder #2 following closely behind. That left him and Intruder #3 to continue on together. “Think we’ll be fine?” he asked the other.

“As fine as we can be in this place, better than getting fired though eh?” So far he seemed to have fooled all three, the longer he stuck around the harder his job would become though. “Definitely,” he responded, “hey is that a gold bar?” Ricky pointed to a shelf. There at the top shone a gold bar, peaking out of a high up box.

“Oh yeah it is, grab it and I’ll keep going forward” Intruder #3 instructed, Ricky listened, reaching up to grab the heavy metal. He would just grab this, catch up, and start his plan of tickling the intruder to tears. To Ricky’s surprise next to the gold bar was a lovely bracelet. He slipped it on so that it would be easier to carry.

In the other room he could hear footsteps, they couldn’t belong to Intruder #3 though, he went forward, not behind him. The Mimic turned around, it must be one of the fellow residents, before he knew it there at the door was Gyuvin. “Oh hey-” He was hoisted over the boy’s shoulder as he sprinted away, screaming a loud “YIPPEEE” 

“Hey- WAiT-” Ricky tried to get out but it was hard as the other soared with quick speeds. It wasn’t until he placed down at Gyuvin’s stash of items that he realized the other thought he was an Intruder. “Wait hold on-” 

Gyuvin just grinned widely and squeezed at Ricky’s sides rapidly, giggling manically while doing so. “You have shiny things, gimme gimme gimme!”

The mimic let out a loud squeal, trying to grab at the hoarder’s hands to push them away. It was rather difficult at the fast speed he was going at. Opting to shield the spot instead, wrapping his arms around himself as he giggled loudly. “IHihiHIhiHILL LOhoHohOHOOk SUhUHuhUHuSpiCioUhuHuhUS” 

Despite the fact that would be a clear hint to anyone that Ricky was in fact not an intruder, Gyuvin continued, lifting up Ricky’s shirt slightly and raspberrying all over his lower tummy. “Cmooon just gimme the shiny things and stay here with meeee!” Instead of squeezing he moved to squeeze at Ricky’s underarms, occasionally drilling into the center while vibrating his fingers.

All the mimic could do was cackle, letting out loud snorts in between his laughter “NOHoHOHOHO BRAHAHAHAHAT- IHIHIHIHITS MEHEHEHEHEE” He tried to get out in between. Gyuvin seemed confused, easily shrugging it off and nibbling right above his tummybutton. “Who is me silly? 

“RIHIhIHIHICKY”

An expression of realization formed on the hoarder’s face, despite that he still continued. “Ok then give me my shinies already! I want them and you have them now gimme!” Ricky shook his head “IHIHIHI NEHEHEHEED THEHEHEHEM” He kicked at Gyuvin’s leg lightly, trying to escape. 

Gyuvin only grinned, giggling along with him, raspberrying all over Ricky’s tummy continuously while drilling into his lower back. Occasionally pinching along his spine for extra effect. “Kitchi kitchi koo! Who’s a ticklish little thing~ all you have to do is give me the shinies and you’re free to go!” 

Mimic held onto the gold bar tightly, trying to keep it in his grasp as he hiccuped, squirming back and forth between the two different tickles. “DOHOHOHO YOHOHOHOU WAHAHANT MEHEHE TOHOHOHO GEHEHET CAHAHAHAUGHT?” 

The taller chuckled and stuck his tongue out playfully before squeezing the sides of his back. “Hmmmmm maybe! Who knows! I just want my shinies! It’s reaaaaally simple actually! Maybe you want to get caught~” 

All Ricky could do was squirm, fighting back wasn’t an option right now, so he had to give up the gold bar. “FIHIHIHINE HEHEHEHERE-” He let go of the gold bar, letting it roll onto the ground “HAHAHAHAPPY AHAHAHASSHOHOHOLE?” 

“Nope! I want the pretty bracelet and perfume too!” If Mimic could, he would strangle this brat right now. “AHAHAHARE YOHOHOHOU KIHIHIHIDDING MEHEHE?” There was still no escape yet. He tried to hold out, really really did, but it wasn’t easy with how relentless Gyuviin was going at it. Nuzzling his face in Ricky’s neck, nibbling precisely “Om nom nom nom~” 

Ricky let out a shriek, scrunching up as his laughter began to die down until becoming silent “NOHOHOHO FAHAHAHAIR-” He hiccuped in between the silent laughter, dropping the perfume and throwing the bracelet off to the other side of the room.

With that Gyuvin let up, chasing after the bracelet then bringing it back to the pile of belongings that once were in Ricky’s arms. Now that he was free, he curled up into a ball, rubbing away the excess tingles that lingered. “YOhohohOu BIHihIhiTCh” He transformed to look like his normal self.

The hoarder looked down at the shapeshifter, grabbing him and hugging him “You know the rules, I get all shiny things or you get tickled! It’s a simple rule you should know by now!” 

“Yeheah yeheheah you hyperactive hoarder.” 

It seemed the other intruders heard him and made a run for it back to their ship because besides their talking the building was back to being silent. “At least they're gone…”

“Oh yeah look what I got from one of them” Gyuvin grinned as he grabbed a flashlight from his pocket, flicking it on and off “Gave it to me for free! Didn’t even have to attack them. What silly little creatures.”

If there had to be a time that Taerae loved, it had to be at night when all the intruders had left. Around this time, him and the other indoor monsters were free to roam outside of the facility and see the others who lived on the outside, like Jingxiang and Gunwook. Admittedly, he looked forward to when the pests would leave, their noisiness would always annoy him as they searched the facility, stealing the items that belonged to him and other monsters, and the fact that they could make him immobile by holding eye contact annoyed him even more. While heading to the spot he, Matthew and Gunwook would relax at, he heard loud laughter that sounded a lot like Matthew's. He huffed and began to smile at the sweet sound, walking just a bit faster to their spot, only to see Gunwook laying on top of the smaller and blowing raspberries nonstop on his ribs, drawing sweet cackles out of the older. Taerae had found himself to enjoy being around those two a lot, and it all started when Matthew insisted on him meeting Gunwook. Since then, the three had become close, meeting at the same spot almost every night. Being stuck in his own thoughts, he hadn't even realized that Gunwook stopped tickling Matthew until they had called out to him.

"Taerae-yah are you just going to stand there and stare?" Matthew giggled and motioned for him to come sit with them, to which Taerae obliged with a small smile.

"What did Tyu do to get wrecked so badly Wookie?" Taerae smirked at the smaller, feeling satisfied at the colour that blossomed on his cheeks.

"He didn't do anything, I just wanted to hear his laugh. It's super cute hyung, don't you agree?"

"HEY! I'm right here y'know."

Taerae chuckled softly at the two's antics, catching their attention.

"You know, as much as you hang out with us, neither if us has tickled you Rae-yah." Matthew smiled at Taerae who was taken aback by the sudden change in the conversation.

"Hyung is right! I haven't heard you giggle that much, I'm sure it'd be adorable!" Gunwook grinned and Taerae swore if he had a tail, it'd be wagging at a thousand miles per hour.

"That's cute and all, but you two do know I'm not ticklish right?"

"Why do I feel like you're lying to us Coilie, you wouldn't riight?" Matthew smiled playfully at Taerae who couldn't help but avoid his eyes.

"I'm just not, you'd be wasting your time trying."

Gunwook hummed in acknowledgement but there was a grin growing on his face.

"Say hyung, if you aren't ticklish, surely you wouldn't mind if Tyu hyung and I tickled you a bit? I'm sure it'll be fun!"

Taerae tried his best not to make a run for it right there, but much to his own disappointment, he couldn't say no to those two no matter how much he wanted to. 

"Okay okay fine, but I'm warning you, you'll get bored quite fast.”

“Yay! Okay Tyu hyung can you hold his arms up?”

“Alright! This is going to be so fun!”

The two giggled as they shifted, allowing Taerae to lay down, and Matthew to hoist his arms above his head. Taerae would be lying if he said he wasn't feeling a bit nervous, especially with the way Tyu smirked down at him while Gunwook raised his shirt to expose his abdomen.

“Ready hyung? This is reaaally gonna tick tick tickle~” Gunwook grinned, wiggling his fingers close to Taerae's side. Much to his amusement, Taerae flinched and began to squirm a bit.

“Yes, I'm ready but it won't wORK-” Taerae was cut off by a squeal when Matthew suddenly bent down and blew a long raspberry on his neck.

“Uh huh, and you said you weren't ticklish. What was that then hm?~” Matthew grinned as Taerae went a bit pink at the noise that escaped him.

“Nohothing- You simply caught me off guard.” Taerae tried his hardest to hold back a nervous smile as Gunwook's fingers began to trace up and down his sides slowly.

“Yknow hyung, the sooner you laugh, the sooner this will all be over! Or is it that you've been wanting this hm? Have you seen Tyu hyung and I's tickle fights and been wanting in? The big bad Coilie is actually a big softie huh?” Gunwook cooed, switching to gently spidering over the older's sides, grinning when Taerae squirmed more, letting out small squeaks that he tried desperately to muffle.

“Cmon Coilie, let out that adorable laugh for us~ You know you want tooo~” 

Taerae shook his head quickly at the teases, but the longer the gentle tickles went on, the harder it became to hold back his giggles. Finally, the dam burst when Matthew began to knead at the centre of his underarms.

“WaHAHAit- TyUhUhu dOHohOn't-”

“Ahahaw, listen to that precious laugh~ Isn't he the cutest like this Wookie? We should have done this way sooner!” 

Gunwook grinned and nodded, prodding along Taerae's lower tummy, drawing louder squeals out of the man below them. 

“Just a cute little coilie for us yea? Look at how widely he's smiling! Are you having fun hyung? You haven't tried to escape and you haven't said stop eiither~”

“SHUHUT UHUHUP-” Taerae blushed bright red at the accusations, only causing his tormentors to coo more. They continued on for a while at the pace they had established, until Taerae had shrieked and his squirming had increased tenfold.

“SHIHIHIT- WOHOHOHOOKIHIHIE NOHOHOT THEHEHERE-”

“Not where hyung? This tickly little tickle spooot right here?~” Gunwook grinned as he drilled small circles into the older's hips, causing his laughter to raise in volume and pitch.

“Huh this must be a suuuper bad spot if our dear coilie is laughing thiiiis hard~ Does it tick tick tickle Rae-yah? I bet it does!~” Matthew giggled as Taerae only went redder at his comments.

“PLEHEHEASE- IHIHIHIT'S SOHOHO BAHAHAD-”

Gunwook hummed in acknowledgement and smiled fondly.

“I'll stop after one last thing, okay hyung?”

“fIHihIne- WAHAHAIT FUHUHUCK-”

Taerae was sent back into hysterics as Wookie pressed long raspberries to his hips, the vibrations traveling through his whole body as his thrashed and shrieked.

Gunwook paused as Taerae's laughter dipped into silent wheezing and Matthew followed, letting go of Taerae and rubbing away the remaining phantom tickles.

Taerae simply sighed and leaned into Matthew, who was more than happy to hug him into his side.

performance fits from boys planet i would wear on a daily basis

imma be real i fucking love all the damn outfits from this show so i'm just gonna show off some of my favs here! in order of appearance on the show!

1. Dongyeol (Xiao) - Very Nice

this is honestly the only fit i'd wear in public bc the suspenders are too much for me in the other outfits but it works here with the turtleneck and the oversized t-shirt on top! and the jeans just really sell the look overall. i think g group had fits that were more cohesive but none of them were my taste lol

2. Haru (LMR)

i like all of the g group colors but haru seems to make it work just a little better than jay for me (most likely bc of the white shirt), the headband is just so cute and I can't rock headbands like that but the rest of the outfit is just so comfy looking

3. Sungmin (Jerome) - LMR

K group's LMR outfits were just as equally good and sungmin's got the least like..bulkiest outfit which works great for layering, and the patterned shirt is just a nice plus for me, very like 2000s-core i love it so much

4. Osuke - Hot Sauce

okay tbh i would wear EVERYONE's fit in g group hot sauce bc all of them are SO GOOD! but i narrowed it down to osuke's because the streetwear/racecar vibes of this one are perfect, it's simple, and we're similar in height so i know it'll look good on me :)

5. Itsuki - Danger

the mix of bad-boy tech-wear type pants and then the academia-esque tops with the vest and tie, it just all goes well somehow? the monotone colors work great here for some reason idk why it just scratches an itch in my brain

6. Junseo - Danger

i almost went with yugeng's version but i think junseo's looks a little better, mainly bc of the long-sleeves. the converse really set this outfit btw which is why i cropped it in. i think i just like turtlenecks

7. Ricky (Back Door)

minus the goggles and i'd wear it. this is def a fit that you have to wear together tho, hard to mix and match this one bc it needs that cohesive white or else it gets messy. i feel bad for this team bc ricky was the only one with a decent fit

8. Jeonghyeon (GGANG)

i almost put junhyeon but i would 1. not wear an abs shirt and 2. his fit feels a little too "american high schooler" for me to really call it an idol fit LMFAO??? but jeonghyeon's fit here is actually really nice bc they didn't give him tin foil and the vest helps his shoulders and it just looks super nice. also the arm band :D

9. Jianyu (GGANG)

i know i just slandered the tinfoil but i think with this fit i'd wear it. i still think this is the best fit of the group (minus the green shoes bc the green don't match), the green mesh top is actually pretty nice and the thin vest works wonders, chen jianyu you will always be pretty as fuck

10. Keita (ZOOM)

i really like this fit and it makes keita stand out well; it's a little bulky especially since keita and i are pretty much the same height so i can well imagine how this would look on me, but the colors work nicely and the hat is just super cute!

11. Yujin (LAW)

im just glad they kinda covered up the v neck with the fishnet top LOL but i like the jumper-esque thing it's got going on, harnesses are a bit much but the stud belt really makes this work LOL good accessories too

12. Mingyu (Man In Love)

i think the simplistic fits for man in love work way better than the feel special ones (in terms of concept) and i'd wear all of them but if i had to pick one it's mingyu's easily. the green sweater is a good soft color and it just looks extremely comfy. also mingyu looks so happy

13. Ricky (Rush Hour)

just get rid of the tie and im sold

14. Jingxiang (Rush Hour)

the big hoodie and black sleeves look REALLY good and the chain on the pants really adds a nice touch. also this screenshot is hilarious bc of ricky's face lol. jingxiang however is tall so idk if i could pull this off

15. Jihoo (Limousine)

definitely another "i'd wear all of them but if i had to pick one" scenario, the caustics pants are actually a lot nicer than i expected. i think i have something for short-long sleeve combos now that im looking at it

16. Daeul (Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms)

definitely needs the beret to complete it but the outfit is just so sweet looking! the white on white somehow works and younger me always dreamed of having a white jean jacket so i would totally wear this!! the hoodie just adds on a nice layer on top too

17. Seowon (Supercharger)

(im ngl i had to do a double take when taking this screenshot, like that's SEOWON???) also this is pretty much just ricky's rush hour fit but dark mode/on steroids, so pretty much similar reasoning there. i just love this one for some reason (fun fact: he rips the rips on his pants LOL)

18. Ollie (Supercharger)

im not gonna say anything just that i've just started to notice a pattern with my choices here

19. Keita (Switch)

if you mixed junhyeon's ggang fit with itsuki's danger fit and them splashed a bunch of highlighter ink on it this is what you'd get. i think this one works best bc its more monotonous and also not blaringly loud (like kamdens pink fit that’s nightmare fuel). also, it's cute!

20. Hanbin (Switch)

the headband and the blue jacket saved this fit ngl bc those green pants don’t exactly work for me LOL but i'd wear everything else!

21. Matthew (Say My Name)

it's definitely the least like "uniform" uniform on the stage, and the extra layers make this seem like it'd be extra comfy in the winter :)

conclusion: i like streetwear and jackets a little too much LOL. if you didn't see a stage here that means i didn’t wanna wear any of their fits lol

After finally getting closer to ma jingxiang your relationship with him got way better than expected. Maybe with even some feelings involved 👀

You had finally achieved your goal, getting close to ma jingxiang. After lots of times insisting you could actually call him your friend.

Yeah, you not only got closer but now you were glued to him 24/7. And although your personalities were quite different, you somehow managed to click and understand each other well (you should definitely thank your teacher for this 😊).

While you talked a lot and surrounded him with lots of funny scenarios and situations you had been through, he stayed quiet listening to you and nodding from time to time to let you know that he was invested in your stories.

Getting to know him was amazing, his calm demeanour and the tranquillity he exceeded was something you were not used to and therefore you wanted to know everything about him. It wasn't like you didn't hangout with calmer people but there was something quite captivating about him, something that made you want to- wait wait wait y/n, it's just a friend calm down please!

Okay maybe you were starting to develop some sort of little, tiny, diminute (HUGE) crush. But could you blame yourself? He fascinated you.

One of jingxiang's friends had asked him our of nowhere.

"Yes, we are going with a bigger group, but you can bring anyone you want. What about y/n, you seem to be quite close to them"his friend teased him wiggling his eyebrows

Just when your name was mentioned he tensed straight away and got a little bit red on the ears. It was true that you were getting closer to him, and let's say him finding you cute had evolved into something else (aka, a proper crush).

He found you cute at first, but as time progressed and you both got closer he started finding you cuter. Every little thing you did drove him crazy and the way you looked at him with those sparkly eyes just mesmerised him.

"Oh- ye-yeah, I could ask them"

And just like that he was dragged by his teasing friends to push him further into inviting you. He was totally opposed to it, not wanting to make himself embarrassed in front of you.

When they finally found you they pushed him towards your direction.

"Oh, hey xiang how's it going?"

"He-hey, I'm good"

"Were you searching for me?"you asked curiously

"Um yeah, i-" he started blabbering but after seeing you with those captivating eyes of yours he decided to ask you casually, you weren't now friends for nothing right? So he made up his mind and went for it.

"You wanna go to the festival this weekend?"he asked shyly looking at the floor too afraid to look at you in the eyes

The way he had just made your day better and the way he wasn't aware of it made your heart flutter and your smile to instantly curve upwards.

"Yeah sure, I'd love to xiang, text me the details yeah?"you said waving as you had classes to attend

On those classes you had your mind occupied with thoughts about your date with him rather than the subject in itself. Ah, how would you kick your feet and giggle once you get home.

Oh.

This wasn't what you were expecting in any sense. When ma jingxiang invited you to the festival you were feeling pretty excited and nervous because it was the first time he had had the initiative to hangout, all the other ones you were the one asking him.

And the way he got redder than usual when you brushed your hand by accident with his made you think that you had some sort of hope, so you thought that maybe this was a date.

When you got to the venue you were greeted by him looking as charming as ever, but the huge hoodie with those jeans gave him the so called 'boyfriend look' which made wonders on your face and on your mind.

"He- hey y/n"he greeted shyly

You smiled cheerfully.

"Hey xiang!"

"Should we get going?"

"I'd like that haha"

You started heading to the festival talking about anything and everything, watching some of the food trucks and really focused into each other. However, all the magic and the sparkles were kinda killed when he reunited with his friends and you went all as a group to enjoy the festival.

You were kinda expecting it to be a date but oh well, guess you'll just had to put up an act and be with everyone else. It wasn't that you didn't like being with them, but you were expecting to be alone work jingxiang.

Throughout the night y'all had a great time and did so many things together, but xiang had noticed that you weren't as cheerful as when you were walking to see their friends. It wasn't really noticeable but he payed attention to small details like this.

"Y/n, are you okay? You seem a little bit off"he asked whispering into your ear.

You hesitates between telling him or just letting it slide but seeing he had already noticed you decided to be honest with him.

"Umm, actually I thought it was gonna be just the two of us"you answered timidly

He was surely taken aback by that, he thought you wanted to be with more people since it was a festival, but seeing the smile you had dedicated to him earlier just made him be a little bit selfish and keep it this time.

"You...wanna go see the fireworks um... just us?"

You immediately nodded your head at him.

"Alright"

And just like that he came up with a shitty excuse for you both to leave that may have been too obvious because his friends got at lighting speed what was going on.

As you bid your goodbyes and settled on a pretty good spot for you to see the fireworks you grabbed his hand swaying it from side to side without saying anything.

And as you watched the show xiang couldn't do other thing but stare at you lovingly, seeing the reflection of the explosions in your eyes and getting more immersed into them each second it passed.

"Wow, these are so pretty!! What is your favourite tyoe of firework?"

But your question wasn't responded, so weirded out by this you looked at your side only to see him already staring at you.

"Xiang?"

He snapped out of his trance and quickly looked away embarrassed by being caught for getting too immersed on you.

You smiled at him giggling and just when you saw how his ears got red and how a little smile escaped from his lips you knew it was the perfect moment to just be brave enough to express your feelings.

So you just went for it, tapping his shoulder lightly to grab his attention he turned his head enough for you to get closer and close the gap between both of you ending into a soft and a little clumsy kiss, but soon enough you both found your own pace after him getting passed the initial shock of your action.

When you broke the kiss you were surprised with a blushy jingxiang that looked absolutely adorable. Cheeks red, lips slightly parted from the previous kiss, half opened eyes who shined brighter than the fireworks you had witnessed previously.

Your view was so cute you just had to peck his lips again.

"Xiang, i- I've been meaning to tell you this for a while but I... I like you...a lot actually"you said without breaking the eye contact.

The lack of response from his side started to make you worried so you just kept on going with your little speech.

"It's- it's alright if you don't feel the same tho, actually you know what? I didn't say anything, let's just forget this happened I'm really so-"

"I- I like you too y/n"he interrupted you immediately looking down due to all the feelings that were overwhelming him from your cuteness.

"Oh, re- really?"

"Ye- yeah"

The smile that threatened to form on his face made you smile widely instead and giving him enough courage to speak up.

"Would- would you let me be your boyfriend?"

"Of course silly!"

And before he could even process it you threw yourself into his arms tackling him down on the ground.

"Now next step is to get you to call me something cute, y/n doesn't seem right"

"Well better than nothing I suppose..."
