ok heres what we know about "heavy thoughts studios" so far: 

- It is mainly two people: President Liv and Jack Guffey, who commissioned Epsee (DDADDS artist) to draw for them. 

- Jack Guffey is the dev, Liv is the concept artist 

- Jack Guffey is in Chicago, President Liv is in NY State. so when they say "Chicago based" they mean one guy is from Chicago. 

- They have been asking people to do things in their game (voices, composing, even fuckin writing) 

- They may or may not have been lying with their original statement about who is in their team.

- @johnfreakinpage on twitter is one of the voice actors, who voices a confirmed latinx character. they cast a white guy as a latinx character

- Quinintheclouds is another voice actor

-  both of the devs (that we know of) are white

Quick PSA for the Derp Crew fans

And I'm not calling anyone out, because there's no one to be called out (that I know). This is one of the least toxic (if not at all) fandoms I know (save for the comment section...but are they really fans). And I am so blessed and happy to be a part of it and to have friends that are in it, too.

We all know Chilled just asked Jess to marry him and we know she said yes (so awesome!). This doesn't stop you from shipping any of your Chilled ships. We know how much they love their fans and interact with us and even toy us along by calling each other pet names or boyfriend and so on [looks at ZRC].

It is when Chilled (or any of the others) say to stop or not tag him in anything (or specific content) that you should very much just not tag him anymore. You're still free to do it, just don't tag him, is all. I know we're all really good about it, ans we all love and care for our boys and their relationships.

What's your top 5 favorite things about each Derp?

Aphex: He’s a good bean that cares about all his friends. Sometimes he can be dramatic, but it’s all about the fun and entertainment. He’s a very creative guy with a strong heart, and he’s considerate of his fans, too, trying to interact with them as much as possible. I’m proud of how much progress he makes every day, whether for himself or for others, because he’ll achieve it.

Tom: Such a funny guy; very honest, and very intelligent. I love his spontaneity. You know that whenever Tom’s around, it’ll be a fun time. He’s like the life of the party and the father of the Derps. He’s also a very bold, confident person. Did Tom set his mind to something? You’ll know he’ll do it. 

GaLm: Just a wholehearted person. He puts a lot of effort and love and passion into his work. The fact that he uploads and records for hours every day? Holy, man! His laugh is fantastic. He’s also very skilled in every game he plays, which I can look forward too in competitive games. He’s also very smart and technical in his methods, and boy when GaLm rages does it make me fall into giggle fits.

John: If you ever want an honest, pure bean, then it’s John. Just like Chilly said, he has no maliciousness in him. He’s the most supportive guy, and has so many aspirations. He can be half shy and half confident, and it really depends on what he pushes himself to do, and I love him for striving towards what makes him happy. If it weren’t for him, we actually wouldn’t have the Derp Crew, so there’s that to thank him for. I love how passionate he is about his work, and even when he has bad days, he interacts with his audience, and loves us as much as we love him.

Chilled: Super funny, pretty diabolical, he can be intelligent, but he has his days. He’s pretty methodical, and he’s dangerous if you team him with GaLm. He’s another supportive Derp, even if he insults his friends. He’s very smart about business (I mean, he did major in it), and he’s also open about his experience and his opinions. He’s confident in everything about himself: his beliefs, his sexuality, and his goals. Back when Chilly was a super shy guy, he’s opened up and become so much more since then. He’s really peaked, and he only has more to go. Whatever Chilled has planned for himself and his career, he’ll fulfill it with a good heart and a strong head (and the support of his fans, Jess….Rex is questionable).

Ze: I love pretty much everything about Ze. Ask me something about him, I’ll probably have an answer. He’s pretty much my inspiration to strive for what I love and keep breathing every day. He had this year of depression and for the New Years video (which I watch whenever I’m feeling dead inside) just really spoke to me. He said to give everything a year to change, to give everything a year of meeting new people, of letting things change, of having new experience to think and reflect on things that happened and to keep looking forward no matter what. He’s reminded me not to feel stupid when it came to school. It’s even in the description of my Tumblr. “GPA does not equal intelligence. It just shows how much asshandling you’re willing to do…” and it’s true. There’s days where school really stressed me out, and it made me feel horrible about my grades, even if I knew the content. 

He’s such a hopeful guy. He can try to be a jester, a troll, but he’ll always be a good guy. He’s very honest about everything, and he’s passionate about his work. I honestly love how supportive and kind he is to John, and pretty much everyone in the crew. 

He just makes me very emotional okay. There’s so much more I could say about Ze, but he already has almost three paragraphs :p
