Dear Kim Jongdae

Although you might never see this letter, I just wanted to let out my feelings. First off, congratulations on your engagement and baby! I am truly happy for you and excited that you are starting your own family!

I have been an EXO L since 2014, 2 years after your debut. To this day, one of my biggest regrets is not being able to discover exo much more sooner. I was only 12 when I first discovered the group. It exposed me to a whole new genre for which I would dedicate my life to. EXO taught me many lessons and was my comfort during hard times. I have learned to work harder and harder to achieve my goals. Half of my childhood was spent with you and I have never been more happier. Your words were my source of comfort during times where I thought I wasn’t going to make it to the end. There were days where I would just shut myself from the world and just listen to your music because it was the only thing I could do. Now, I am turning 18 in a few months, getting ready for adulthood while you are getting ready for fatherhood. I have never truly realized how much impact you and exo have had on my life. While you growing into a wonderful man and singer, I didn’t notice that I was growing with the passion to help people like you did with me. Although, my passion might not be in the entertainment industry but in the medical field, I hope to impact people like you!

You and the rest of exo have shared and gave your whole youth to EXO Ls and for that, I thank you. It must’ve been hard to always have a bright smile on your face even when you were suffering through it all. The fans have seen you suffered through malicious comments, members leaving and ridiculous rumors yet you always showed us the brighter side of yourself. I still remember when I watched your debut stage during mama era (although I was 2 years late) and you looked nervous but still showed a strong presence. I didn’t realized how much I would become attach to you and exo.

Jongdae, you are now starting your own family and it is the most amazing news I have ever heard. You had gave EXO Ls inspirations and encouragements but you deserve the same treatment! Thank you for spending your youth with us and sharing your life with us. Now, we must let you go and let you start your own life. You have finally found your soulmate and there will be nothing more that I wish for you other than that you and your future wife will have a healthy baby that will be surrounded by only love. I hope to one day have a beauty family like yours and lead a life filled with joy. I will always be your fan. Even when EXO might disband or only release a song once every 10 or so years, I promise you that I will stick by you to the end. So once again, thank you for all you do Jongdae and please live a happy and healthy life! That’s all EXO Ls can wish for you!

honest question here!

i’m starting on doing fake texts on exo and i’m honestly not sure if i’m down on writing stuff about chen. i know it’s purely fictional but still, i understand that chen is now in a relationship and i would like to respect that. it would be weird writing about him romantically now that he’s about to get married. and i don’t say this out of hate. i’m more than happy for him and for this new chapter of his life and i fully support him no matter what.
