ok well ill let myself have my little mechanisms kick like. i know i talk about it so much. but theres so much in the mechs that isnt really explored beyond jokes just bc the crew isnt the focus of anything bar some fictions and ttbt songs. but god the morality shit in the mechs really gets me and i wish it was anywhere else. like theres one guy who DOES NOT HAVE MORALS he literally had his brain reprogrammed and they were essentially taken out he Will do whatever the fuck he wants and he IS an asshole about it. and theres another guy who has a GODDAMN SWITCH ON HIS NECK THAT FLIPS HIS MORALS. on a ship full of INTERGALACTIC CRIMINALS. like imagine being a normal guy and your philosophy in life is to help people because youre a fucking space doctor with no memories and then you get kicked out of town for trying to help someone and then you get stuck in either extremes of "ends justify means" or "means justify ends" and any of the terrible bad people you live with can just flip that switch to make you agree with whatever theyre doing. or you get stuck in one way and cant actually help the people on a doomed planet becauseyou cant just tell them directly. like idk. i think if dakota had more of that "literally programmed to be an ideal hero" shit that would be so sick. because obviously he wouldve been like that before, now its just.. dialed up to 11. i wouldve liked that a lot
