♡ [ josephine langford, woman, she/her ] oh, them? that’s HEATHER HOLLOWAY, they are TWENTY-THREE. they are currently a community college nursing student & lifeguard at hawkins community pool. i hear people say they are DRIVEN, COQUETTISH, GENEROUS, but also COMPETITIVE, SHELTERED, MATERIALISTIC. i always think of bubblegum pink hubba bubba, offering a stranger some of the perfume they complimented, hiding pills in a heart shaped compact, landing a perfect double back tuck handspring, sitting at the bottom of the pool at midnight under the lights. i wonder what their favorite scary movie is?
opioid abuse cw !
achieve, achieve, achieve. heather was a state champion in gymnastics, swimming and figure skating before she was ten, with years of ballet under her belt already it seemed that the rising reporter tom and his wife janet had produced a star.
it was her idea, it was fun, once upon a time, wasn’t it? but suddenly everything was riding on it. it drained the enjoyment from her dearest hobbies once she started ranking high consistently, training took up all her free time.
her dad became the chief of the hawkins post, making plenty of friends and enemies on his way with his coverage of issues around town.
heather loves fashion and putting together outfits, it’s seen as something frivolous but it helps her remember who she is. always up to date on the latest trends and has many fashion magazines stacked around her room.
at a solid 4″11 in freshman year of high school, heather became a flyer for the cheerleading team, tumbling her way down the waxed, shiny floors and thrown to heart-clenching heights by the tanned, sweetly scented arms of her fellow teammates.
though not the most malicious of people, she was definitely complicit to a lot of bullying during high school and more judgmental than she’d realised at the time. not the quietest of the popular girls, she still wouldn’t put her reputation on the line for someone she barely knew.
always saw the popular kids as a group of sharks all swimming together to get out of town.
a little uptight at times around education and the future but she’s also the same girl that organized a town wide scavenger hunt for her birthday ending in a car race three years in a row and never got caught.
massive daddy’s girl. tom always indulges her even though he can be tough on his expectations for how she should represent their family.
actually loves giving things away and letting people try things. will offer you a blotter to use to apply a lipstick shade she has in her bag that she thinks will go so well with your complexion in the bathroom at school.
in senior year of high school she had a huge fight and falling out with her best friend at the time.
started out wanting to leave for a big city as soon as she could to escape the outdated ideas of nowhere indiana but got comfortable at community college. her mom argued hard for notre dame, they compromised on purdue over her leaving indiana.
fall was on the horizon, her transfer across state was almost in her grasp when disaster struck during qualifiers for free skating, the surface of the competition rink hadn’t been properly smoothed and heather tore straight through her acl.
the injury scrapped most of the seasons for her sports, pulling the rug out from under her carefully laid plans with her places contingent on her performance.
the recovery was tough but heather knew she was tougher, to the point that she pushed things too far. the strong pain medication let her go back to cheerleading before she was ready and tragedy struck on game day ending in a concussion, skull and hip fractures in front of half of a horrified hawkins.
after more gruelling recovery, doctors confirmed heather’s worst fears: that she would never do many of the things that she used to do without risk of serious, permanent injury ever again. purdue started to withdraw their offer and heather started to panic.
currently, heather is abusing the opiate analgesics she was prescribed during recovery in order to try and get back on top. it isn’t going well.
never smoked, maybe had a wine cooler or a beer at parties. now things are starting to unravel she’s starting to care less and wonder more about what she missed out on in the pursuit of perfectionism. heather’s coming to the startling realisation that she doesn’t really know who she is without sport in her life.
absolutely freaking out about the murder and hates going anywhere alone right now. keeps her dad’s driver from his set of golf clubs in her car.

grinning through the pain so hard you bite your tongue until it bleeds, neatly manicured fingernails, lightwash denim shorts, singing into your hairbrush in the mirror, your nose turning pink in the cold, mango chapstick, sharpening ice skate blades to a fine edge, hot chocolate steam warm against your mouth, a dusting of freckles, pleated tennis skirts, covering bruises with concealer, grass and blood staining white knee socks, eyelashes tickling against your neck, muscles burning from exercise, the roar of a crowd from the bleachers at a game, someone gently smoothing a band-aid onto your knee, neck prickling when it feels like people are staring and laughing at you, department store shopping bags digging red marks into your arm, gentle fingers playing with your hair, religiously taking notes in perfect handwriting, falling asleep while getting a piggyback inside from the car, brilliant white tan lines, the quiet when you wake up at dawn to a fresh layer of snow, a ruler rapping the back of your knuckles, a slight scent of chlorine.

Was that [JOSEPHINE LANGFORD]? No, that was just [FEYRE ARCHERON]. They are a [CANON CHARACTER] that was pulled out of [A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES]. How weird is that? At this time, they are [TWENTY FOUR] years old, and use [SHE/HER]. Hopefully they learn to love it here on Naporia!
What point of canon were they brought here from?
Feyre was brought here towards the end of A Court of Wings and Ruin.
How long has it been since they arrived?
It's been three months since she arrived here.
Will they be working at any of the island’s establishments?
After spending way too much time at Naporia Arts and Culture Museum, she was eventually hired as a curator.
Anything else that you think is useful:
A human turned fae, she is the mate of Rhysand and High Lady of the Night Court. Self-trained in archery, Feyre grew up hunting and foraging for her family so they wouldn't starve. This has lead her to be self-sufficient but stubbornly so. The last moments she remembers is Rhysand's sacrifice so their combined power destroyed the Cauldron and the High Lord's giving him some of their seeds of power. One second he was in her arms taking a breath of life and the next she was transported to Naporia. Since then, she has been keeping busy and relying on the hope that her mate is still alive.
