I don't know if you've answered this question before, but do you have favorite Phantom/Christine pairings?

I have answered it before, but not too recently, so maybe it's time to make a big ole updated masterpost of all my favorites as of now!

Keep in mind that if a name isn't on here, it doesn't mean they're not a favorite or whatever, it might just mean I never saw them with a Phantom or Christine I particularly liked (e.g. Gina Beck is an all-time favorite but she's not on here because I never really saw her opposite a Phantom I also really enjoyed) or I preferred a slightly different pairing (e.g. I really liked Franc D'Ambrosio with Lisa Vroman but I slightly preferred the latter with Brad Little). And there may be one or two where I could not decide at all (e.g. do I prefer Kelly Mathieson with David Thaxton or Josh Piterman? I can't tell!). Anyway, here they are:

Michael Crawford/Sarah Brightman - The OG cast. It can't be helped, they both had such unique takes on the role and it makes them one of the most memorable pairings for me.

Dave Willetts/Jan Hartley Morris - His rougher take on the mold that Crawford left vs. Jan Hartley Morris's old-school, classical Christine is a winner.

Mikael Samuelson/Elisabeth Berg - I love Samuelson's slightly harsher vocals compared to Berg's operatic tones.

Alexander Goebel/Luzia Nistler - Goebel is eerie, ghostly, and unhinged at the end; Nistler has a lovely classical voice and a scared, slightly naive take on her Christine. It fits well.

Davis Gaines/Tracy Shayne - Gaines is commanding, sensual, elegant; Shayne is innocent but with a touch of maturity that brings a certain uniqueness to the role.

Saulo Vasconcelos/Irasema Terrazas - Hands! I think both were allowed a lot of freedom in the role and it's great.

Hans Peter Janssens/Ineke van Klinken - Janssens is both very nuts and very sad while van Klinken is a reserved yet steely-willed Christine who is more than a match for him.

Ian Jon Bourg/Alison Kelly - Bourg is good with so many Christines, but I loved Alison Kelly's feistiness.

Michael Nicholson/Olivia Safe - Just a fascinating pairing, and they were both understudies!

Yoon Young Seok/Hye Kyoung Lee - It didn't matter that both were speaking Korean, they were so emotional that I felt like I understood every aspect of their performance.

Brad Little/Lisa Vroman - Kind of mentioned above, but I love how well these two act together.

Hugh Panaro/Julie Hanson - Hugh Panaro is a sarcastic jokester of a man and it makes you really feel for Julie Hanson's child-like Christine at the end of the show.

Gary Mauer/Elizabeth Southard - A real-life married E/C couple brings all the chemistry!

Earl Carpenter/Rachel Barrell - Barrell is also really good with JOJ, and more spirited around him, but I love Earl Carpenter more.

John Cudia/Jennifer Hope Wills - Oh the sparks these two brought to the role! Cudia was scary and dominating but JHW was absolutely able to hold her own against him.

Simon Pryce/Julie Goodwin - The voices of these two!

Marcus Lovett/Anna O'Byrne - Leroux-accuracy heaven.

Jeremy Stolle/Samantha Hill - Again, I've seen these two give fantastic performances with multiple performers, but I really do love what they bring to the show together.

Tomas Ambt Kofod/Sibylle Glosted - Very detailed, nuanced performances in a production that was full of it.

Jonathan Roxmouth/Meghan Picerno - There was fire between these two! Roxmouth was intent on bending Christine to his will but Picerno was so fiercely independent that you knew he could never succeed.

Jeon Dong Seok/Son Ji-soo - JDS is a swoon-worthy Phantom while SJS brought lovely expressions to the role.

And I'm sure there are many others...

#214 Companion (2025)

Iris (Sophie Thatcher) y Josh (Jack Quaid) parecen la pareja perfecta, tan enamorados y complacientes el uno con el otro. Para dar un paso más en su relación van a pasar el fin de semana a casa de un acaudalado amigo con su pareja y otra pareja más.

Allí están Josh, Iris, Kat, Sergei, Patric y Eli (Megan Suri, Rupert Friend, Lukas Gage y Harvey Guillén), Iris se muestra insegura ante la idea de pasar tiempo con los amigos de Josh, pero este la anima a que no solo lo pasaran bien, sino, que serán unos días inolvidables.

Después de algunos encontronazos superficiales, observamos que las parejas se muestran cariñosas de maneras diversas, Kat y Sergei son más distantes, Patrick y Eli son muy empalagosos e Iris no sabe del todo cual es su sitio. Pasan un primer día agradable, pero vemos algo extraño...como que Iris es muy intensa y Josh empieza a estar algo sobre pasado. Después de mantener relaciones sexuales, y tumbándose de espaldas a ella oímos que ante las dudas e intensidades de Iris, Josh se limita a decir "duérmete Iris".

Sergei es un tipo bastante peculiar que peca de clasista, machista y algo homófobo con los amigos de su novia, pero como es un ostentoso nuevo rico ruso que hace su fortuna de una forma que parece poco lícita, parece que se cree el dueño de todo y de todos, y eso pone algo incómodos al resto de invitados, pero no le dan mayor importancia.

A la mañana siguiente Iris quiere ir al lago, pero Josh dice que no se encuentra muy bien, que prefiere quedarse, ella insiste en que él era quien quería ir, y que se quedará con él para complacerle, pero Josh insiste aún más en que vaya sola y desconecte.

Cuando Iris llega al lago no hay nadie, y después de unos momentos en soledad está a punto de irse cuando llega Sergei, Iris está incómoda y quiere irse, pero este le dice que se quede para hacerse más íntimos y que si le pone crema solar en la espalda.

Iris incómoda acepta, pero hay algo muy extraño en la actitud de Sergei y este sigue aproximándose a ella, con malas intenciones. Forcejean y Sergei le insiste en que Kat le ha animado a mantener relaciones con ella, porque ese es el tipo de chica que ella es. Esto ofende a Iris, pero no tiene tiempo para reaccionar porque Sergei se tira encima de ella, intenta apartarlo, pero se coloca encima de ella y esta a punto de abusar de Iris cuando ella saca una navaja de su bolsillo, que no tiene muy claro como ha llegado ahi, y le apuñala en el cuello.

Iris vuelve a la casa en shock, y todos la descubren llena de sangre. En pánico ella intenta justificarse y ellos se muestran extrañamente comprensivos, ella le asegura a Josh que no miente y él le dice que lo saber porque "no puedes mentir".

Iris no comprende nada, y es aquí cuando le confiesan que ella es un robot. Incrédula dice que no les cree que como va a ser eso verdad si ella tiene recuerdos nítidos. Josh le asegura que son recuerdos estándard y que no podrá ahondar en ellos, ella confusa le dice que recuerda perfectamente como se conocieron, y él le asegura que fue un recuerdo impuesto, que eso nunca ocurrió. Kat le dice a Josh que no le de más explicaciones y antes de discutir con ella Josh dice "Duérmete Iris" y vemos a Iris desconectarse.

Iris recupera la conciencia y se encuentra atada a una silla. Josh confiesa toda la verdad: es un robot acompañante avanzado que puede ser controlado por su teléfono inteligente. Iris se libera, mientras Kay y Josh discuten y roba el teléfono para escapa al bosque. Experimenta con su configuración en el teléfono, aumentando su inteligencia del 40% al 100%. 

Josh y Kat le insisten a Eli que Patrick no tiene derecho a una parte del dinero porque "no cuenta", tras lo cual se revela que Patrick también es un robot acompañante. Eli toma un arma de la caja fuerte de Sergei y los cuatro se dividen en el bosque para encontrar a Iris.

Mientras Iris está escondida escucha a Eli y Patrick hablar de que Josh liberó la configuración de Iris, desactivando su incapacidad de hacer daño y que él y Kat habían planeado que Iris matara a Sergei para robarle su fortuna de 12 millones de dólares, e invitaron a Eli y Patrick para que fueran testigos. Después apagarían a Iris y llamarían al servicio técnico para que la retiraran.

Patrick le dice a Eli que ha deducido que es un robot compañero, pero que está genuinamente enamorado de Eli, a lo que Eli le responde. Allí localizan a Iris y, tras una pelea, Eli recibe un disparo mortal con el arma de Sergei.

Iris intenta escapar en coche pero Josh lo desactiva a distancia denunciando el robo, y cambia la configuración de Patrick igual que hizo con ella para que sea violento y agresivo. Patrick mata al policía que detiene a Iris por el robo de el coche de Josh y lleva a Iris y al coche con el cadáver del policía hasta la casa.

Kat, disgustada por las acciones de Josh, intenta irse con su mitad del dinero. Josh le ordena a Patrick que la detenga, pero la mayor agresividad de Patrick hace que la apuñale y ella muera desangrada.

Esa noche, Josh hace que Patrick prepare la cena para él, y despotrica sobre lo poco que tiene en la vida a pesar de su arduo trabajo. Intenta justificar su comportamiento con Iris diciendo que merece más que está agotado de ser un segundón y que ella le conoce mejor que nadie. Iris le confiesa que eso es cierto, describe los pequeños detalles y gustos de Josh y él se siente aliviado de que le comprenda.... aún con su inteligencia al 100% añade al final, también sé que eres un llorón y un penas. Cosa que enfurece a Josh y la ordena a quemarse el brazo. Ya que pese a que es un robot que obedece ordenes también tiene sentimientos aunque sean "falsos" y estar quemándose el brazo es doloroso para ella aunque la obligen.

Agotado Josh pone la inteligencia de Iris al 0%, convirtiéndola en un autómata y le ordena que se pegue un tiro en la cabeza. Y aunque ella sabe que eso es fatal para ella, no tiene más remedio que hacerlo. Dos trabajadores de la compañía de robots acompañantes llegan para llevarse a Iris, informando a Josh que han sido enviados para reiniciar a Iris. Y descubrir que ha ocurrido.

También le dicen a Josh que, contrario a lo que la gente cree, los robots acompañantes no tiene su base de datos en la cabeza, sino en el estómago y que podrán recuperar todas las grabaciones de audio y video de los últimos días para esclarecer el crímen.

Desesperado por ocultar sus crímenes, Josh le ordena a Patrick que mate a los trabajadores y recupere a Iris. Patrick mata a uno, pero antes de que pueda matar al otro, Iris se reinicia por completo al haber quedado conectada por los dos hombres en la furgoneta.

Sin embargo, Iris no puede dañar a Patrick como resultado de su reinicio a fabrica, por lo que apela a la humanidad de Patrick usando su amor por Eli. Abrumado por la culpa, Patrick se suicida. El trabajador sobreviviente, Teddy, le otorga a Iris la capacidad de controlarse por completo.

Iris y Josh tiene su confrontación final, mientras este piensa que está reiniciada de fábrica y que vuelve a ser dócil e ingenua, pero Iris mata a Josh apuñalándole la sien con un sacacorchos eléctrico

A la mañana siguiente, se quita la "piel" quemada de la mano, dejando al descubierto el mecanismo interno del robot, y sale de la casa con el dinero de Sergey. Y deja tirado en el suelo el móvil de Josh que solía controlarla. Ya nunca más le hará falta.

Mientras se aleja en el coche, ve a un hombre conduciendo con un robot similar a ella. Iris sonríe y saluda juguetonamente al robot similar con su mano visiblemente robótica, para confusión de este último.

I write on Discord but like to stay on Tumblr for plotting so my Discord doesn't get too cluttered. I write in third person, past tense. Semi-lit/lit. I care more about quality than quantity so I don't mind how much you write, as long as I have something to work with. I work full-time Monday through Friday so replies won't happen every day. I try my hardest to get replies out within 2-3 days. Because of the nature of these fandoms, I'm looking for some darker plots so NSFW will be involved. I'm fine with that NSFW including smut. It is a preference but not a requirement.

I'm open to canon x canon pairings (MxM, FxF, or MxF) or canon x OC (MxM or FxF only). I prefer canon or canon divergent plots. I'll only say no to AUs that are way out there--i.e., bear hardly any resemblance to the canon universe for the fandoms.
