Is it me do jtwo look extra focused on making us believe that the magic between jtwo isn't gone? I noticed every answer is turned into brothers being codependent like it's a good thing. Jensen said he hated soulless Sam because he missed being with real Sam and JP said he hated Amelia part bcoz Sam wouldn't leave Dean to rot in purgatory. Okay maybe he has a point. About the rest of your ask: I agree they are playing the "brothers" shit. I haven't watched the panel but I have seen gifs and pics and, in all honestly, it looks SO FAKE. They had some moments I think are legit but most of their interaction looked insincere and just fandom service.

What really amazes me is the fact that J2 shippers are superthrilled even if Jensen and Jared haven't delivered a single hint that they have kept in touch since the end of the show. They only talk about the show but there's nothing about their current interaction, with the exception of the filming of Walker. Meanwhile, when Misha crashed Jensen's panel, in less than 10 minutes they confirmed the keep in touch often (Misha recalling the time Jensen told him about the soldier boy suit months before). We have had several J2 and J2 gold panels in the last CE cons, an yet, no brand new information from J2.

If I were a J2 shipper, I would be very worried. But you know, J2 shippers are too dumb to realize that.

i think it's pretty damn unlikely misha return to a reboot that portrayed the confession as platonic, given how long and how hard he fought for the inherent romanticism of cas's feelings for dean to be recognised. i think cas's confession means far too much to him for him to ever be part of a production where it's erased like that.

i agree that i'd (sadly) have my doubts about having destiel being confirmed canonically in any reboot. i think they might just hint at it, or, to use their favourite phrase "leave it open to interpretation". but who knows. maybe i'm just being overly cynical about it. forgive me for not having much faith in spn when it comes to not queerbaiting the fuck out of their audience.

I don't watch J*2 panels because it's mostly just J*red talking and saying stuff that makes you wonder, "were you even part of SPN? Because you missed a lot of points and important stuff".

So I can't say much about what you're talking, because I avoid J*2 panels. I don't know if they're trying to look like things are great in between them or not, but for some gifs I've seen, every now and then Jensen makes some faces that say he doesn't like what J*red is saying or that he'd rather have someone else on stage. But then again, I only watch the gifs, not the panels.

Still, J*2 panels are usually a bronly fest. J*red has only cared about Sam and Dean, he has never been able to see that SPN was more than about Sam and Dean. If it had been like that, SPN would have ended by s3.

There's also the fact that those panels are mostly attended by people who only care about Sam and Dean and/or hate anyone who isn't the brothers of J*2. So don't expect anything good or happy from any of their panels. And also, don't expect Jensen to say much. He's a reserved person and J*red doesn't know how to shut up.

As for the prequel, I don't have any hopes on it. It's going to focus on Mary and the asshole fomerly known as J*hn Winchester.
