Im re-watching jwcc bc its been a while since i last watched it. I dont think people understand how GAY yaz and sammy were from the begining of the series😭
"It was so random" like did we watch the same show??
I'm most likely reading too much into this but I feel like they keep giving us hints that there is something going on with them. And either, they changed their minds and got rid of that potential subplot (it might have been too much to have a subplot about Kenji and Brooklynn's parents both not being the best) or this might come into Chaos Theory's later seasons somehow.
We all remember Season Two Episode One when Brooklynn dismisses the idea of her parents being worried about her.
And even the entire premise of her character makes me suspicious of them. Who lets their ten-year-old become an influencer? Especially with how it is clearly impacting her mental health, being constantly worried about hate messages and doing crazier and crazier dangerous stunts to impress her followers. Like, she says she's climbed Mount Everest, by age thirteen. (which would make her the youngest person ever to climb it)
In seasons four and five it seems like they are good dads to her, and she talks about them teaching her how to repair things.
But then in Chaos Theory I feel like we are getting more hints that there is something going on between them and her again. Brooklynn has clearly been doing investigative journalism for a while (as shown by the epilogue of cc) and has a whole secret apartment that seems relatively set up. If we assume she's nineteen in Chaos Theory, how long has she been living in the apartment and how did she keep it a secret from them?
Then Darius thinks they were the ones in charge of her phone and either 'forgot' to cancel her phone, potentially hinting at neglect, or she's paying for all her own things, potentially suggesting distance.
The Chaos Theory parts very well could be caused on Brooklynn's end as her distance from the people she cares about is one of her flaws we are shown in Chaos Theory, so it would make sense it would extend to her dads. (Although that begs the question of why that's the case in the first place. But that's a post for another time.)
Still, I just thought it was fun to read into this a little bit.
active urges to devote myself to making a jwcc edit with the "they both reached for the gun" audio from tik tok with season two (specifically the last three episodes)
like they both quite LITERALLY reached for the gun
Since I'm in the middle of moving we don't have any like cable or streaming whatever. Fortunately I'm a person who tries to buy physical disks of media that I like so I've been watching dvds.
Unfortunately it has reminded me of how bland af current day dvd menus are.
I don't have any of the Jurassic World movies on DVD to accurately compare lol
At least up to the end of season two (where I’m currently at) you could maybe tell me Sammy is just super friendly with Yaz and I’d have my doubts but you could get away with it. But if you watched all the same episodes as me and told me Yaz isn’t already catching feelings I’d slap you to wake your ass up.
David in S2 EP4 of Hilda is just Ben from Camp Cretaceous if Ben found a magic medallion on Isla Nublar that induced his radical character development.
For context, David in this episode came into contact with two viking tribes that were fighting over a medallion that caused whoever touched it to have no fear.
