so i started researching/resourcing this cosplay towards the end of last year, and right now i’m in the middle of the vest and the blouse. it took me about six weeks to pattern the vest - there was a bunch of research involved plus it was my first time making my own pattern! but im so so proud of it. i don’t have a good pic on me but here’s a clip of it before i added seam allowance to the front.

here’s a picture from a bit ago that shows the seam allowance added to the front of the vest

and here’s the blouse fabric after i dyed it!

i actually tried speedrunning the blouse the other day bc i wanted to wear it to disneyland which im going to for the first time soon!! unfortunately i didn’t get it done cos i had an extremely unrealistic timeline LMFAO but all the pieces are cut and i started assembling it on my mannequin:

anyway that was a LOT so thank you to anyone who got through that!!!! i’ll update you guys when i next make progress. thanks so much for being cool

two weeks ago maybe? i’m ok just been under a lot of stress lately. so i’m super grateful for this little community bc you guys are always here for me to come back to :) thank you

too much lmao. i think im funny but my parents would disagree lol

5. What sports do you play/have you played?

none right now, but i actually did ballet for twelve years! i really loved it but it was horrible for my self esteem so i stopped

6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people?

probably if/how they include others, and their sense of humour. the best kind of people have that combination :)

dark brown

happy endings of course

im good at sewing i think? i’m also kinda good at languages and picking up accents quickly

11. What are your hobbies?

im a raging creative so writing, drawing, sewing and performing are like bread and butter to me. over the past few years ive gotten into acting and i started taking singing lessons which has been awesome! but anything got to do with fanworks is just amazing to me. i got into cosplay and making my own cosplays about a year ago, and im currently in the middle of a jyn one! id be happy to share if anyones interested. i probably will either way lol

12. Do you have any pets?

no :( i wanna get a dog but my allergies would disagree

13. How tall are you?

156cm or 5’1 for u americans lol

14. Favorite subject in school?

my extension english class is the BEST. lots of freedom to write whatever we want! in fact, i’ll be writing an essay on andor in a few weeks!

15. Dream job?

this changes a lot but the main few are screenwriting, directing, costume design and video game design. really anything where i get to create

Now begins the mammoth task of a) figuring out what cosplays I want to do (besides Sithbelle and Jyn Erso), b) getting back into proper shape (by my own standards at least), and c) figuring out how in the fuck I'm going to bring everything to Japan.

And I've only got a year to figure it out!!
