We got an hour and 15 minute episode for the first episode of season 1, so hopefully they’ll give us one that’s close to the same length for the last episode.

I think that’s the essence of Star Wars, is that things aren’t always straight forward.
There are characters who are antiheroes, villains who will eventually be redeemed, characters who are only participating for money, characters who act like they don’t give a shit when they do, or even ones who act like they care the most when they care the least, good characters who have flaws and make mistakes.
Crosshair: “I’ve changed.”
Rampart: “Sure, you have.”
This is what has been haunting me for the past 12 hours… Because I think, to a certain degree, Rampart is right…
Was anyone else completely thrown off by Rampart's "Sure, you have" remark?? Like, he seemed too confident in that… But now that I think about it…
Because like wasn't Crosshair like "I don't want to be breaking in or out [of Tantiss]. Omega didn't leave me behind last time. I owe her."
Is he only doing this because of a favor???
This is like a callback to Season 1 when he saved her after she saved him... But again he only did it because he owe her one.
I may be thinking about this in a really dark manner. But it sort of lines up...
AND THEN...in Episode 12, it’s revealed Crosshair purposely withheld information on the selfish account he didn't want to go back...
I think Rampart is right to a certain degree that Crosshair is loyal to himself...

This reminds me of a short I wrote where Tech was bragging about Hunter’s heightened senses never being wrong. And they all look over at Hunter licking dirt. And Kix is just “That’s called a mineral deficiency.”
How did we go from Hunter sniffing dirt to measure distances in The Clone Wars to him not knowing that a living breathing creature was right in front of them in The Bad Batch season 3

“Why is the sky blue?”
“Look what I can do!” -shakes double jointed finger really hard-
“I can burp the alphabet! Watch!” -proceeds to burp-
“But why?” “Why?” “Why?” “Why?” “Why?” “Why?” “Why?” “Why?” “Why?” “……….ok but why?”
“This one time….uhm….i went to the store. And this store was so big. Like ginormous!!! Like as big as your head!!! But anyways, I went to this store. And I saw the coolest thing ever! It was a big card stand! Like was filled- it had so many cards!”

It’s always fun to think of dark possibilities. I think this is an important option to bring up. It adds that element of unknown to the scenario.
Rampart only knows one version of Crosshair. The Empire version. That’s it. He doesn’t believe it’s possible for Crosshair to be anything else. But I also think he’s saying this line to fuck with Crosshair. To intentionally put some doubt inside him, to make him question himself. I feel like it’s his way of picking on Crosshair, just like the batch has picked on him (as they should).
Rampart is Crosshair’s abuser. One of many. Crosshair doesn’t owe it to Rampart to prove him wrong. He doesn’t have to prove anything to him. But I think Rampart voiced a thought that Crosshair has been internally struggling with. Is he really better? Is he really “back to normal”? Is he really safe for his brothers to be around? Or is there still something inside him that can snap and cause him to try to kill them again? I feel like Crosshair owes it to himself to prove Rampart wrong.
I don’t think withholding the information about knowing how to get back to Tantiss is wrong.
For one, he admits that he didn’t think it’s a good or reliable method of information, since it’s coming from Rampart. None of them have any reason to think Rampart would just offer up that information and it will be true and accurate (even if they break him out of jail). Plus it required them to have to have to break him out of an Imperial prison, which may not even be possible.
For two, Crosshair is doubting himself. He lacks confidence right now, even if he tries to act like he’s fine. He is not as confident as he used to be, not in himself and not in his skills. He’s not confident that they’d be able to break Rampart out, much less that they could trust anything he says, so why bother even bringing that option up? But now that their better, more reliable option of tracking the ship Omega is on is scrapped, that’s the only option left open. Plus, let’s face it, it was pure luck they escaped the first time. And it was just him and Omega. Now it’s going to be not just Omega, but all of them plus a bunch of prisoners (some who may be worse off than Crosshair). Crosshair likely doubts that they’d escape a second time since it would make sense Tantiss would’ve beefed up security measures and ensured their first escape method would be impossible to replicate.
For three, it’s not selfishness, it’s self-preservation. Which is natural given what he experienced on Tantiss. He’s being faced with the possibility of returning to a place where he experienced some severe torture. It’s natural that would he’d do anything to avoid going back. It may not have even been an intentional withholding. He genuinely may not have thought about Rampart until their original plan failed. His brain may have done everything it could to lock that information up out of protection.

So you know this probably happened
Emerie: Omega is not the only child on this base.
Echo: So, Hunter, we have a problem.
Hunter: What?
Echo: Apparently there are like…4 other kids here besides Omega.
Hunter: ……
Echo: Hunter? Hunter did you hear me?
Crosshair: Yeah he heard you, he’s currently printing out four adoption forms.
Hunter: -in the background- Rex doesn’t get first dibs on these ones!! Where’s my stamp!?
Crosshair: He’s still salty that Rex won’t let him adopt you. Even though you’re a grown man.

The only relationship encouraged or allowed though would go no further than friendship. That means no girlfriends/boyfriends. No marriage. Yes Obiwan had an affair with Satine, but in order for them to be official about it he would’ve had to leave the Order. He broke it off to follow the rules of the Order, thus putting being a Jedi above any feelings of love he had for her. Any romantic relationship is hidden and treated with the utmost secrecy.
The only Jedi allowed to marry was Ki-Adi Mundi and that was only due to the low male birth rate within his species. However he had to hide any affection he had for his wives (he was a polygamist). He couldn’t get attached to his family in any way. He had a favorite wife, which he refused to have children by because he knew he wouldn’t be able to hide his feelings for her if he did (which was a requirement of him to do as a Jedi).
Yes attachment in the form of possession and obsession was certainly frowned upon. As it should be quite frankly. Attachment can be defined as affection, fondness, or sympathy towards someone or something. A sentimental attachment. The attachment that’s required to form romantic relationships, such as expressing love for or being in love with anyone, was also frowned upon. The attachment that happens naturally between a parent and child was not allowed.
Friendship was allowed so long as it didn’t conflict with the overall duty of being a Jedi. Any loved ones would be strictly limited to immediate family, such as parents or siblings or extended family. And even then, the love that would naturally be there would have to come second to being a Jedi.
"no attachments" in SW literally just means "don't be selfish and possessive". that's it. that's all there is. doesn't mean jedi can't have friends and loved ones. they can. just. don't be possessive and selfish about it. don't murder thousands of people in an effort to save one.

I certainly like this take on it, since it would’ve been years since he’d seen his helmet “clean” (for lack of a better word). It will be interesting to see what designs they repaint on their armor. Would they do the same ones or would they change it up to reflect who they’ve become. Personally I’m hoping for the latter since I think they’ve changed from the clones they were when they originally painted their armor.
Soo, Star Wars posted this.
Tumblr media
Leading me to believe that in that scene when Hunter is looking at his helmet, he is actually thinking back to the time of their first mission. To the time where everything was simpler, where his brothers were alright, where all they had to worry about was how to complete their missions, and not fight against an empire in the search for a peaceful life that they'll most likely never get.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. That the headpiece allows everything to work smoothly, but it’s a little glitchy without it. Which would make sense. He had no use for the cybernetic headpiece while being held prisoner. Plus it may help him interpret data faster too when he’s plugged into computer sockets.
Concerning Echo’s headgear
It is apparently called a “cybernetic headpiece”. It helps him control all of his modifications.
So I am assuming he can control some of them without it, as we see in episode 14, but he’s not able to access all of his modifications during this time. I am not sure which ones he can’t access, but it might just be minor systems since he doesn’t seem to mind going without it if he has to.

So here’s my thing
What if these parallels will divert only because Echo lives where Fives died? That it’s the way it should’ve gone for Fives.
I am manifesting this result. That Echo will live and go on to take over the clone network for Rex eventually.
The Echo/Fives parallels…
Fives breaks into lab on Kamino where clones were implanted a device that overrides their free will… / Echo breaks into lab on Tantiss where clones are deprived of their freedom and experimented upon…
Fives is wearing standard clone trooper armour… / Echo is wearing standard TK trooper armour…
Fives’ hair is shaved (he looks more vulnerable)… / Echo doesn’t have his head piece (he looks more vulnerable)…
Fives is looking for answers about a single clone, Tup, but discovers something that affects all clones and risks his life to uncover a truth that could have freed his brothers… / Echo is going to Tantiss with brothers who want to free a single clone, Omega, but actually states plainly that he’s risking his life to free all his brothers…
Echo is continuing Fives’ mission to free all the clones!
Echo, Fives is so proud of you right now 🥺😭
I really, really hope Echo won’t die, but if he did, that would be the most beautiful way, honouring the unbreakable bond between the Domino twins 💙🤍
