Also, I'll try my best to like...translate the meaning in English ajshshshs I hope it makes sense to yall😂🖐️😭it's really romantic in Chinese so yeaaaa(I hope yall get my references sjshshshs)

"Ai Yee Ge...what was it again, Anna?" Cody sighed, ruffling his hair for the third time of the day. "Chinese is soo hard! My accent is all off and the pronunciation is out." he said, sitting criss-cross on the floor gloomily.

The team had a cultural expo going on in Griffin Rock and consulted Anna to train them with some Mandarin phrases.

"It's alright, Cody. This takes time." Anna assured, patting the blonde's back in comfort. "It is 爱一个人，不需要理由." she smiled.

"Now I'm confused too." Graham pushed his glasses up, staring at the girl funnily. "C-Can you probably repeat that again?"

"Sorry, I got carried away." Anna apologised, scratching the back of her head. "It's 'Ai Yi Ge Ren, Bu Xu Yao Li You." she said.

"Ay Yii Geh Ran, Bu Shu Yao Lee You...?" Frankie repeated, wincing as she tried to get the words right.

"Correct!" Anna beamed, high-fiving the twin-tail girl. "You guys are gonna rock this expo, trust me."

"Again, what has your statement have to do with our language appreciation week?" Kade rolled his eyes and let out a yawn. "What does it even mean? 'I wanna sleep?'"

"Haha, very funny." Anna replied sassily without missing a beat. "It means 'loving someone doesn't require any explanations'. It's like.... Like you and Hayley! You two are in love, right? Do you have a reason for liking each other?"

Gulping, Kade tugged his collar, unable to reply. "Uh... I-I welp, I'm out. Nice learning Mandarin, but this is WAYYYY too hard for me." he threw his hands up in the air and left the circle.

Behind them, the robots in disguise listened very closely to the Asian girl's teaching, fascinated with the quote.

"That's a really beautiful way to say 'I love you.' " Blades sighed dreamily. "I wish I had someone say that to me; not that I would understand, but it feels nice."

"Ai Yee Geh Ren Bu Shu Yao Li You." Heatwave said in a hurry before looking away, tints of blue visible on his cheeks.

"Aww, that's so sweet of you, Heatwave!"

"If it means you would stop whining about romance, you're welcome."

"Would you guys wish to learn more?" Anna asked, standing behind them.

"We would-AHHHH!!" Blades screamed, jumping up in fright and into Heatwave's arms as he saw a tiny brown-hair girl appeared behind him.

"Hi...and don't bother acting, I could hear your voices from afar. Don't worry, secret's safe with me." She winked, waving at the team. Graham, Frankie and Cody came running, panting as they saw Anna interacting with their bots.

"Uh... You-"

"Know about them? Yes." Anna shrugged, taking a seat by Chase's ped. "Quite frankly, I don't mind. They are really nice! The yellow mech is adorable!" she grinned.

"Aww, thank you!" Blades smiled in return.

"Now, let's continue this basic Mandarin phrases!" Anna declared, handing the bots a pamphlet.

"You call this BASIC!?" Graham sweatdropped, staring at the PinYin in confusion.

"Well, basic meaningful quotes. I would go deeper and talk about idioms and all, but that would take up another hour and I don't think you guys are mentally prepared." Anna laughed dryly. "Trust me, I know."

"What does this mean, Anna?" Chase asked, pointing a digit on the pamphlet as he showed her his question.

Giving the sentence a fleeting glance, Anna smirked. "爱一个人在于细节。" Anna said, not breaking a sweat.

"English translation... Or maybe, slow it down?" Cody pointed up in the air as he smiled awkwardly.

"Sorry. Ai Yi Ge Ren Zai Yu Xi Jie." Anna winked. "Go on, have a try."

"Ey Yee Geh Ran Zai Yu Xi Jie?" Graham offered the girl an embarrassed smile. "I think I butchered the whole sentence."

"Actually, that's kinda good." Anna gasped, giving the spectacled boy a clap.

"What does it mean?" Boulder asked.

"It means that when you love someone, you'd do some tiny details to keep them happy." She giggled. "Like....like-Doc Greene and Professor Anna Baranova; they'd have this special way of communicating in Science just to flirt with one another, right?"

"So...it's like a subtle action of affection?" Dani popped out of nowhere, scaring the Asian girl.

"Holy scrap!" Anna screeched, setting her hands on her chest as she whipped around to see the red-hair chuckling.

"Sorry kid, didn't mean to spook ya. Speaking of subtle ways to love someone, I've got everyone some frappe!" Dani annouced handing the group a cup of iced frappe.

"Thanks Dani!" the humans said in unison.

"What about me? Don't you love me, Dani?" Blades whined, pouting at his partner.

"I do... BUTTT that's Heatwave's job." She coughed and walked away, leaving the helicopter sullen.

"Tsk." Heatwave got up and went away for a brief moment before returning to the sulking mech with a servoful of Energon treats. "Take it and stop whining."

"For me? You're the best, Heatwave!" Blades's attitude took a sharp change as he happily ate the sugary treat.

"If that ain't true love, I don't know what else is." Anna smirked, sipping her drink. Turning to the police bot, she saw the retrospective look in the mech's optics and smirked.

"追踪，请用你的平板下载全球翻译器。（Chase，please download the International translator into your datapad.)" Anna whispered at him. Chase, upon hearing the girl, raised an optic ridge.

"I believe you forgot to change your language system, young human." he said.

"Download the International translator into your tablet." Anna repeated, voice soft and low as she gave him a wink.

Pausing, Chase nodded and did as he told. Within seconds, the blue tablet in his hand was now equipped with translating the girl's words into Cybertronian/ English.

"set it to make sure it translates into your mother language ;consider me giving you a hand with Chief."

That got Chase's interested. Obliging once again, the mini translator was now ready.

"How about we continue our Mandarin session later? I'm sure you guys must be exhausted with all the exercises I've given." Anna smirked.

"Yeah, and we haven't even got to French and German yet." Cody groaned, packing his materials up.

"We've got Spanish to cover too." Frankie added, yawning tiredly.

"Come on, let's get something to eat. I'm starving." Graham stretched for a moment before rubbing his tired eyes. "We'll head up to the human area to freshen up. Wanna join us, Anna?"

"No thank you, I'll just be around with the bots. Go eat you guys." Anna waved at them. Watching the group of humans going up the elevator, Anna turned back to Chase.

"追踪，听得到我说话吗？(Chase, can you hear me?)"

"Loud and clear, young one." Chase nodded, looking at his datapad as he saw the voice translated into Cybertronian words.

"看来我得好好教你撩查理啦！(Looks like I've gotta teach you the ways of flirting with Charlie now!)" Anna snickered, wiggling her eyebrows at the blue mech.

"Please, be my guest."

"Mind sharing some with me?" Heatwave whispered, scooting closer. Blades was busy talking to Boulders, so that gave the red mech a chance. "I'm a fast learner, I promise."

"The more, the merrier." Anna said.

Timeskip

It was now late evening. Anna had already left the firehouse a while ago.

"Chase? How about a patrol around town?" Chief offered, stepping out of the elevator.

"As you wish, sir." Chase said and change into his vehicle form, revving his engines.

Charlie stepped inside his car and perked up, feeling a slight difference from before. "Your cabin is...warm?" he noted.

'Chief is sharp as ever!' Chase smiled to himself, happy to know that Chief DOES pick up tiny details. Clearing his voice box, Chase replied nonchalantly, trying to seem innocent at this. "I figured it would be nice if you'd have a warm seat during the night. It has been chilly lately, Chief."

"That's...thoughtful of you. Thank you Chase." Charlie smiled and hopped in. The two went out and began their night patrol, leaving Heatwave and Blades at the area. Boulders was busy with Graham's work, helping his partner to solve some maths.

"I'm bored." Heatwave whined. "Heatwave, play with me?"

Sighing, Heatwave rolled his optics but agreed, fighting the urge to smile at his lover. "What do you want to do?"

"Oh, oh! Can we play hide and seek? Please, please pleaseeeee!?"

"我爱你你个大傻瓜。（I love you, ya big idiot.)" Heatwave said, confusing the tiny yellow and white mech.

"What's that? Did you just insulted me in Mandarin?" Blades jumped to conclusions, optics wide. "Aww, no fair! How come Anna taught you to swear in her language?"

Face-servoing, Heatwave shook his helm in embarrassment. "It's not an insult, Blades."

"Then, what is it? Come on, tell me! The suspense is killing me!"

"Wo Ai Ni, Ni Ge Da Sha Gua." Heatwave sighed. "It means...you're annoying."

"Hey! That's being mean! 'WO AI NI, NE GE DA SHA GUA' TOO! " Blades yelled, earning a smile from the firetruck. "What are you smiling at!?"

"我也爱你，我的宇宙。/Wo Ye Ai Ni, Wo De Yu Zhou（I love you too, my universe.)"

"THAT'S ANOTHER INSULT ISN'T IT!?" Blades gasped, hitting his fist onto Heatwave's chassis. "Meany!"

"Indeed it is, indeed it is." Heatwave smiled, letting his love to do whatever he pleases. "I am your meany, Blades."

"Yeah! You're my meany!" Blades repeated without giving a second thought, too focused on pouting.

"I wanna learn more about Mandarin so that I can hit on you back! Wo- Wo... WO AI NI! HA, TAKE THAT!" The helicopter snapped back, remembering only some parts of the sentence.

(Dear readers, Wo Ai Ni means I love you.)

Heatwave choked on air, feeling his joints locked in place.

"Wo Ye Ai Ni...(I love you too..)" Heatwave mustered, covering his faceplate with his knuckles.

Meanwhile, with Chase and Charlie...

"It seems like tonight's a quiet one." Charlie smiled, tapping a rhythm on the steering wheels.

"I believe so too, Chief. We have already scouted the whole area, perhaps we should retire for the day?" Chase suggested.

"Yeah, that would be great..." Charlie yawned and rubbed his eyes, blinking a few times.

Chase noted his partner's condition and promptly activated his holoform, appearing by the Chief's side and set his hands over the man's.

"Chase? What are you doing?" Charlie snapped out of his lethargy, staring at his partner in confusion.

"Perhaps we should switch place for today, sir. You don't seem to be in the condition for driving." Chase said in worry.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Charlie waved him off.

Keeping quiet, the obedient mech deactivated his human avatar and let the old man handle. The rest of the ride was quiet...until Chase spoke up.

"今晚的月色很美有如某人。(Tonight's moon is exquisite, just like a special someone.)" He stated.

"What did you say?" Charlie raised an eyebrow, staring at the screen.

"Just a quote that Anna taught the kids. It means 'tonight's moon is very beautiful.' " Chase said, leaving off the last phrase to himself.

"Huh. Interesting. Say... Do you know other sentences?" Charlie asked, eyes still on the road.

"爱你不需要理由。(Me loving you does not require any reason.)"

"Ai-Ni - What?" Charlie sweatdropped.

"It's a...phrase." Chase trailed off, not knowing how to answer.

"About what, exactly?"

"I've... Forgotten." Chase lied for the very first time. "Though, I believe it was a very nice sentence."

"Hmm, we'll just ask her tomorrow." Charlie shrugged, parking inside the garage.

Stepping out of the car, Charlie stretched tiredly and groan as he heard a satisfying pop. "I'm heading to bed now. Goodnight Chase." he mumbled.

The officer turned away and was about to make his way up when Chase blurted out, making Chief halt in his place.

"我爱你！Wo Ai Ni! ( I love you!)" Chase said out loud.

"Uh..Buddy? You okay?" Chief chuckled, crossing his arms in front of him. "Wo Ai Ni too...whatever that means." he coughed.

Activating his holoform, Chase's eyes brightened up like a child on Christmas as he tackled the man down.

"Chase! What the hell?" Chief gasped as he found himself trapped under Chase's arms.

"我的就是我的。你的也是我的。(What's mine belongs to me; what's yours also belongs to me.)" Chase whispered, nibbling Charlie's ears.

Without hesitation, Chase picked the man up and carried him on the shoulders, ignoring Chief hitting his back as he made his way up to Charlie's room.

"Chase, put me down!"

"我的矫情的小公子真可爱。今晚，你由我来决定。(My haughty little Prince is very adorable. Tonight, you shall be under my command.)" Chase growled.

"I don't know what that means, but it doesn't seem to be good!" Chief blushed, giving up on retaliation as he was brought into his room and set down on his bed.

"我的～/Wo De~ (Mine~)" Chase purred, sending shivers down to Charlie's back as he sat on top of the man.

" Chase-! "

"I will properly thank the femme for her teaching later." Chase mumbled, staring down at the flustered man with a mischievous grin.

"For now, let me handle you, 我的最爱(my beloved.)"

"CHASEEEE!!"
