Random question for the Project Fear/Destination Fear fans who have read my works:

Would you guys be interested if I were to make a playlist of the songs/lyrics I use for titles of my fics?

A lot of the time I look or even think about the DND inspired commissioned artwork I gave Project Fear and just think how Dak might think it’s ruined because behind him are the eyes of “Kevin Spacey.” I had not known at the time the behind the scenes between them and just knew that he has a major influence on Dak going into the paranormal professionally. Made sense in my mind to have “Kevin Spacey” be his warlock patron

Hey DFam,

Hope you’re doing well. I’ve been busy writing one of my more niche fic ideas I had: the Destination Fear crew playing Dungeons and Dragons with you. What I initially thought was going to be a one shot is definitely turning into a fic requiring 2 chapters; one for character creation, and one for game play.

My question for you is do you want me to finish chapter one and immediate post it, making you wait for chapter two for when I finish it, or wait a bit until I have finished both chapters and then post them (separate posts so it doesn’t take you 84 years of scrolling)?

Please let me know which you prefer and also if you like DND! I’m alluding to 3 different DND related media in it and want to see who might spot them.

Hey DFam!

I’m waiting on my last peer reviewer and then the proposal one shot will be posted. I do have a question for y’all though.

I often write the reader without any description and use “you” for the reader because I want anyone who reads these fics to actually feel like it could be them. However, I have 2 ideas that are a bit more niche than my usual fics.

1. Going to see a Broadway show (like it’s a present from whoever is paired with the reader. I was thinking Tanner because I do know a few musicals he has seen/listened to)

2. Reader is the DM and is teaching the crew how to play DND. This one does not have anyone dating the reader, but they’re all good friends

Would you guys read either of these ideas? Should I stay away from these more niche ideas? Let me know! If you have any prompts or suggestions, I would love to hear them and take a crack at writing them if possible.

Need help finding someone to possibly commission art from

Hey y’all, I’m doing this as a post because I do not really know how to search for the specifics I was thinking of for said art (I have looked up “commission” as a tag, but I did get a bit overwhelmed and everything). 

So what I want to do is take the Destination Fear crew and make them into DND characters. Like I want them to recognizable still as themselves but like fantasy-esque.

How do I go about finding someone who fits both? I did originally have someone who said they would do it, but that person was a friend and we are no longer that so...

There’s a Destination Fear fan page that is on Twitter and Instagram that does #FanArtFriday every week. At one point, someone’s fanfiction was put up which caused me to submit the works I had done at the time (which was 4 at the time). I was not featured and they continued on with promoting others’ work and requesting.

Like I kind of get it: I didn’t have a picture associated with the works, so for Instagram it would be difficult to promote. However, I had mentioned to them that if I needed to create an image, I would do that. They never responded to that or request for me to do so. Nothing I have written is smutty, so I do not know why an effort was not made on their part.

The group more recently asked again for fan art to promote. This time, I sent the AO3 series link and a quick image I created to represent the series. Here’s hoping it gets featured.

With that in mind, I am still open for requests for one shots for DF. Message me with your ideas!

Hey DFam,

I have a new one shot idea but don’t know who to specifically write it about, though I do think it would fit best with one of the guys.

A bit of backstory for the idea: I went to NJ Paraunity Expo over the weekend and someone proposed at Destination Fear’s booth (I was actually in line when it happened).

So the idea is a pit stop proposal with the rest of the crew like hiding in the bushes when it happens.

Let me know if you have an idea on who would fit best for this. If you have other prompts that you want to have written, I do accept requests!

Who's ready for a new fic this month?

Hey all. I finally finished a fic I've been working on for a couple years now (motivation wavered a lot for it) and I can't wait for you guys to see it! It is in the process of being peer reviewed and that person works for an accountant, so it's not her priority at this very second.

I forget if I made a post about what the fic is about before, but does anyone want to take a guess?

So my DND friends and I had a debate on who the sexiest X-Men character is and I want to know your thoughts. Can be based on either pure looks and/or personality. Any era/version goes. Comics , cartoons films etc.

Advice needed

Hey y’all, I just need some advice.

I’m in a production of The Addams Family (show opens in a couple of days) and I’ve started developing feelings for the girl cast as Wednesday. We get a long really well and are the same age. She’s not following a lot of people on social media, but I’m one of two from the cast she’s added, which somewhat surprised me as she isn’t friends with one she connected with during the audition process. (EDIT: She has since added said person she auditioned with) I know she’s single and into women too. I’m considering pursuing it, but I also don’t want to ruin the friendship.

What do I do?

Hey DFam,

Working on that DND fic idea I had. It is definitely going to at least be 2 parts. Right now, chapter 1 is planned to be character creation while chapter 2 is planned to be actual play.

Thing is, chapter 1 is already close to the length of my longest fic (I’ll Be There) and it is not even done. I’ve only gone over picking a DND class and not even the race, background, or even how to figure out ability scores and all that.

My question for y’all is, should I break the fic up even more so each chapter is shorter or would you be down for long chapters?

I feel like I need to like slam my head with a locker door or something. Writing my thesis/editing it is making me so frustrated. The notes my first reader gives me half the time make no sense like saying “explain this” when literally the next sentence does just that. Or the words literally state it exactly. She put question marks regarding “straight passing” and wanted an explanation. Like, can you not read? Straight passing is literally appearing like a heterosexual couple, there isn’t much I can do to reword it or explain it without it being redundant. She then started claiming “didn’t this person give you this idea?” Literally no. I was using the terms BEFORE even interviewing that person and had decided to change it, again, BEFORE interviewing them. I’m using narrative inquiry and used a basic definition of it, but somehow that needs more explaining? She deleted parts of my vignettes and told me to focus on theatre when THE ENTIRE THESIS IS ABOUT THE PERFORMING ARTS AND I DO MORE THAN JUST THEATRE.

I swear, someone just shoot me in the temple at this madness. I just want to be done with this BS
