Feminine Archetypes In Fruits Basket;

Honda Tohru - The Maiden;

Maidens are tend to be innocent, they give that ‘take care of me’ vibe. They are innocent and creative, sometimes naive and positive. They tend to be a little more sensitive. They have that youtfull energy, and childish curiosity. Maidens are also explore their sexuality very slowly. And their weakness is sometimes they can lack commitment, direction or they can be codependent.

I think all those traits fits really well to Tohru. Since she is very sweet, ‘take care of me’ type of character and positive and naive too. She also tend to be very codependent.

Sohma Akito - The Queen;

Just like any typical queen, Akito has that royalty energy. She is natural noble, elegant, she has confidence and natural leader, she has manners. Queens’s weakness are that they tend to struggle when they dont have partner. They are also very loyal and expect loyalty from them to the point they justify their partner’s toxic behavours. I know pre-redemption Akito is toxic but this is what actual Akito would be, if she actually had life and she deserves very good, loyal guy. Also, queens tend to easiely erase their female friends which is one of the biggest flaws they have.

Sohma Kagura - The Maiden;

Just like Tohru, Kagura also tend to be very naive, she has very youthfull energy. She is also very childish.

Uotani Arisa - The Huntress;

Huntress are adventreous type, they are passionate and competitive, though they sometimes might emotionally dumb. All those traits fits well to Arisa.

Hanajima Saki - The Mystic;

Mystics are asocial, they live in their small world, and they are fine with that. They have very cozy, comfortable energy. Which also fits very well to Hanajima.

Sohma Kisa - The Maiden;

Kisa is definitely ‘take care of me’ type of character, she is also very sweet, naive and innocent.

Sohma Rin - The Huntress;

Huntress are more adventerous type, they desire freedom and one of the biggest of flaw of them that they sometimes might be emotionally distant. Riin always give me that ‘adventreous’ type of energy.

Kuragi Machi - The Sage;

This one was hard for me to find out but i think sage fits better for Machi since she is succesfull woman and tend to act with her logic. At least, it fits better compared to other types.

Extras;

Tohru’s mother is huntress. Sohma Kana is maiden. Shiraki Mayu is huntress. Sohma ren is very ‘toxic’ lover type. Minagawa Motoko might be maiden. Toudou Kimi might be lover type. I dont remember others. Mother type character doesnt fit to any characters. I write the type what those girls fit the most, they all great though, they all are different which is what makes it fun to analyze.

Introducing a mini-series I'm doing; presenting the character voices of my OCs! This is Part 1 of 6 in this wave of some of my BNHA OCs. I was inspired by some posts using the Character Voice template for their OC info. I made this one myself and featured both English and Japanese voices I picked for my characters. I felt like giving my characters a Japanese voice just as a fun addition since I mainly watch anime in English/dubbed.

This one features/showcases my OC Kana Hanajima. I wanted something laid-back and cool girl sounding to match her personality. I originally wanted to do Aimee Carrero as She-Ra/Adora, but I felt like that didn't fit the character. Then, I remembered Dove Cameron since this was around the same time I bumped into the Marvel Rising series. Her voice just fits Kana perfectly, and Dove continues to bring some inspiration to my OC (and yes, Kana does sing too!).

For Kana's Japanese voice, I stumbled upon Uotani from FruBa, and it just seemed to fit her too. I'm well aware that her actress, Atsumi Tanezaki, is already in My Hero Academia as Lady Nagant (all my other picks for my OCs' JP voices aren't in the anime), but I can get away with it because this is not the first time an actress/actor in that series voiced more than one character (ex: Midnight and Kid Midoriya).

Fruits Basket A/B/O Headcanons

This will involve the manga characters so spoilers to those who haven’t read the manga and/or haven’t watched far enough ahead in the new anime. They’re doing such a good job with the 2019 anime btw, I’m a really happy fan!

I’d like to point out that these are my personal headcanons, and it’s perfectly okay to think I’m wrong. This is just where my guts and sometimes logic have decided they belong. If I think I can, I may even explain them.

Kyo Sohma - Omega

Yuki Sohma - Beta. Yuki wants to belong somewhere where he can be himself. A place among equals.

Tohru Honda - Omega (This is very self explanatory)

Shigure Sohma - Alpha. He’s willing to manipulate to get his goals. What he’s showing is control over variables I’m not sure he actually has control over but that doesn’t stop him from trying.

Ayame Sohma - Beta

Hatori Sohma - Alpha. He cares SO much! The alpha part comes in when he shows his care continuously by trying to protect people, either from an outside threat or from an inner one.

Kana Sohma - Alpha. “I couldn’t protect you” And it broke her.

Arisa Uotani (Uo) - Beta. She just wanted a place to belong, and when Tohru gave her one she took action to keep it. She’s a very protective beta.

Saki Hanajima - Beta

Kagura Sohma - Omega

Momiji Sohma - Beta. For as cute as Momiji is he’s just as wise. His ability to be suddenly calm when the situation calls for it is not to be ignored.

Hatsuharu Sohma - Alpha. He’s a very good mediator, but what took the sorting cake was his actions are to protect. I think he had to learn to be as calm as he is and it wasn’t innate.

Hiro Sohma - Alpha. He just wants to protect Kisa!

As an omega, that’s strong desperation and it makes sense that they broke and became as volatile as they did. They’re a perfect example of what happens to an omega that’s not treated well.
