One of my favorite things about the sand sibs is how they are THE MOST bloodthirsty unhinged characters in og Naruto and then they go through 3 years of development off screen and proceed to be the most normal well adjusted cool and collected and youngest to be powerful and acclaimed Members of their age group. Stay winning forever.

For the record my read on kankuro is as a kid he's reckless and anxious to prove himself enough to pick fights he can't win or get pretty cocky,but also experienced and skilled enough to hold his own anyway. Just….can't hold his tongue, and depends on either intimidation or letting someone else handle it when presented with a difficult social situation-very middle child of him, but not 'cowardly' really.

And when he older he kinda….chills out. Like he's super secure in his position as the 2nd/3rd most important and strong person in the village, he's got enough familial and village wide respect/love/appreciation to be more then content to pursue his hobbies and bully council members or whatever he wants to do. He helps out he hangs out he enjoys living in peace he picks up crochet probably.
