Best Siblings Round 3: Korn & Krit & Kard (Until We Meet Again) vs Vegas & Macau (Kinnporsche: The Series)

Korn & Krit & Kard: "Maybe the least focused on siblings of the show, I think they actually do deserve a place in that Best Siblings selection. Korn, on top of everything going on with his father, always stands as a shield between his violence and his little brothers. He hates it, but he will sacrifice his dreams and aspirations so his brothers can follow theirs. And that love is entirely reciprocated, both Krit and Kard being here for him when their father hurt him, Krit ready to let go of his dream of becoming a cop to alleviate Korn’s burden, Kard naming his sons with the names both his brothers chose when they were young."

Vegas & Macau: "They aren’t in a ton of scenes together, especially compared to some of the other siblings in the show, but when they are, it’s almost always going to be heartwarming in a show that can be anything but a ton of the time, especially when it comes to these two characters. From the scene of them making merit together to the scene of Vegas ruffling Macau’s hair to the scene of Vegas, Macau, and Pete snuggling up together when Vegas is in the hospital, these two brothers have been shown to be some of the only characters who give and receive love to each other, and given what we know about their father and how they were raised, that’s a huge deal. Obviously, Vegas’s character in particular has done horrible things over the course of the show and I’m not trying to justify that by any means, but when looking at the dynamic between these two alone, especially in the context of their environment and what their father has been shown to be like, I just find these two to be very almost refreshing in a way? I don’t know how to describe it. There’s some quote about siblings being the only people who truly understand how each other were raised, and that is always ringing around in my head when it comes to them."

Didn’t do one of these last week because I wasn’t at home, but today I’m back screaming about UWMA ep 15...

First of all: DeanDeanDeanDean - I love him so damn much. I love how certain he is about his feelings for Pharm, I love when he teases him, and I love that he can still be vulnerable. (Pharm holding him as he cried... My heart!)

That marriage proposal? I sniffled my way through it. Dean just wants to take care of Pharm (a restaurant!) - and I do love the casual reminder that same-sex marriage isn’t legal everywhere, including Thailand.

The sex scene was sweet (and very quick) - we saw even less than on the boat, but honestly, I don’t mind. I think it fits the tone of the show in general and the Dean x Pharm relationship in particular. (Do I wish that Pharm took the initiative sometimes? Yes. But he’s a shy bean, that’s just a fact. And he never hesitates to cuddle and to tell Dean that he loves him first.)

Talking sex stuff: I really didn’t need the idea that Pharm has a daddy kink in my brain. *facepalm* I’ll now try to pretend that the subtitles said “father” instead.

Very glad to see Perth again. Loved how happy his character was at seeing Korn take care of In. In definitely deserves it. <3

Much less happy to learn even more reasons why Korn was genuinely suicidal before that night at the condo. His father threatening In must have made him feel so helpless. And he made his younger brother promise not to follow in his father’s footsteps and to take care of the youngest... My heart!

Sin is a sneaky bastard. Smoking on the balcony, leaving “provisions” with snarky notes... But he’s right, if Pharm had known, he would never have relaxed with Dean.

Dean putting together 2+2. Not just a pretty face, my boy. So Korn is Pharm’s uncle, Krit is Sin’s father, the policeman, and Kard was Pharm’s dad.

A very regrettable lack of Win x Team again, but I get it. At least Manaow was in this episode, I missed her. (Dean’s surprised face when she invited him to her celebration - I don’t think he ever had many friends except for Win.)

Cairo & London: "They've both had their fair share of trauma and a bit of a rocky relationship at the start of the series but as the series progresses, they find common ground. They put aside their differences and their arguments to rekindle their relationship. That scene where London teases Cairo about his relationship with Gavreel is PEAK sibling behavior!!"

Best Siblings Round 2: Pi & Duean & Wan (Fish Upon the Sky) vs Korn & Krit & Kard (Until We Meet Again)

Pi & Duean & Wan: "Is the show more-than-a-bit insidious? Absolutely, no doubt about it. But something about a trio of gay siblings is just SO compelling, especially during the scene where Wan brings his boyfriend home to meet his family and they go debrief in their room about it and baby gays Pi and Duean think Wan is the coolest person ever for doing that, and Wan’s little speech about him realizing how short life is seeing people die in the ICU every day and how he wants to share his love with the people he loves during the time he has. Also, protective Duean and all the hilarity that comes from that was very heartwarming and funny."

Another favorite scene of mine would have to be in uwma when Korn Kard and Krit are just talking about Kard's future kids and what to name them and they're just messing around and having fun. Gets me every single time I watch it.
