🏅 Advertisement Poll Campaign 🏅

Katsuki's advertisement campaign for a new spice goes exactly as planned, as captured by reporters @coldergeist and @katsukifatale!

“Try smiling,” the producer suggests from behind a line of cameras and lights. “Like, a little bit.”

Katsuki frowns. 

“I don’t fuckin’ smile,” he points out, jabbing the air with his pointer finger for good measure. It’s like these lunatics don’t even know him, for fuck’s sake. Did they just ask him for this endorsement deal because he’s the baseball league’s MVP?

One of the staff makes a placating motion with her hands and Katsuki almost throws his. He’s just about had it with this stupid little commercial. Half-n-Half convinced him to take it, so this is all at least partially his fault.

It’ll be good for your image, he’d said. And you like to cook.

Not this much, he doesn’t.

Katsuki clears his throat, and the set falls quiet. “I’m gonna do this one more time and then I’m done, so you better get this on camera.”

He waits until the cameraman points at him and then sneers, slamming the little container of spice onto the nice wooden countertop so hard the rest of the neatly-stacked spices rattle and threaten to fall.

“If you’re an incompetent fuck in the kitchen and you want your food to taste good, catch this spice blend. It’s fuckin’ gold in a bottle—literally.”

He leaves the bottle on the counter, with the label facing out—he’s not an amateur, despite what IcyHot seems to think— and stalks off the set. The cameras roll for a few seconds after his departure, focusing on the Gold in a Bottle label, and then the shoot is over.

Fuckin’ finally.

“That’s a wrap,” the producer says stiffly. The cameraman beams and gives him a thumbs up. “Thank you for your hard work, Bakugou-senshu.”

The commercial takes a few weeks to start airing, and once it does it’s clear that it’s a hit. Gold in a Bottle starts flying off the shelves.

“Will you endorse their new poultry spice?” Katsuki’s PR manager asks. “You’ll get some of that for free, too.”

Katsuki rolls his eyes and signs the deal. “As long as it’s not called Silver in a Bottle or some shit.”

His PR manager pales.

I never know how active Tumblr really is anymore but someone I love and adore with all my heart is really suffering right now.

Summary:

Waking up to the realization that you lost all of your memories was never fun, especially in Shinichi’s case when it was accompanied by splitting headaches and a sinking feeling that he was missing something very important.

Good thing there was a suspiciously-familiar phantom thief there to keep him company.

He swallows. Gathers his courage. Opens the door, and - and - he’s here. Lit up in gold. The world condenses into the warmth of his gaze, the delicate shifting of his hands, the rhythm of his breathing. Kaito is a boy lost beneath cherry blossom, touched by moonlight. Some deep, unknown part of him sings in relief, in recognition, in hope. Like coming home. (Like the war is only now slipping away from his bones). - Shinichi and Kaito live in separate worlds. The two of them are drawn together by a door that leads them through different dimensions, driven by an urge to search for something they can't name. Sometimes, it feels like their wandering will never end.

Viktuuri Week Day 4—Reinvention

this is SUCH a good reinvention of a popular soulmate AU, and also a really good look at a reinvention for Viktor internally, as he figures out what it means to LOVE. The ending of this one gets me EVERY TIME

Canon divergent AU where both Viktor and Yuuri are looking to find themselves and find meaning again after their careers have ended. Of course, they still find each other :) I love the pacing of this fic, it's such a lovely read!

@katsukifatale and @/XHidaka1's report on Kirishima Eijirou accepting his role in the new Space Jam remake touches hearts!

“So wait.” Denki starts and stops, clearly trying to gather his thoughts on Eijirou’s big announcement. “They picked you for the role?”

Eijirou gives his friend a lopsided grin. He’s proud of himself — proud of how far he’s come. A leading role in a movie will do wonders for helping to increase his visibility in the hero sector across all fronts, his PR team had told him. He’ll climb the ranks, make more money (which, for Eijirou, just means more money to give to charity), and get more high-profile missions. He’s always hated that this kind of thing is part of being a hero; a hero should just want to save people, regardless of their rank or their pay. But the world doesn’t work like that. It’s a hard pill to swallow for Katsuki, but for Eijirou the so-called media pandering comes easily.

Katsuki says it’s because he has the personality of a golden retriever, which Eijirou has decided is a compliment.

“You tryin’ to suggest you’d be better, Pikachu?” Katsuki says gruffly.

“No, just. Proud of you, man. Glad it went to someone I know, at least. Maybe you can sneak me onto the set?” Denki unashamedly begs. “You know how much I loved the original Space Jam.”

“That movie is so old at this point I’m surprised copies still exist,” Mina says, not looking up from scribbling on her paperwork. “But I can see the appeal. Lola Bunny was such a babe.”

“She was my gay awakening,” Tsu says sedately.

“I used to have a poster of her in my room,” Denki says.

“Ew, dude.”

“What?!”

“She’s a rabbit.”

“Okay, but it’s okay for Tsu—?”

Eijirou sighs as the bickering begins in earnest. “I dunno if I can get you on set, sorry Denks. But I’ll definitely get you all tickets to opening night!”

“We’ll be there, dude! Congratulations!”

“Yeah, congrats! Proud of you man!”

Eijirou beams as all his friends chime in their support. “Thanks guys.”

Eijirou on screen slam-dunks with Dynamy in hand and the theater erupts into cheers as his team defeats the New Monstars with the help of the cute little guy who’s won the hearts of the audience.

To his right is Mina, and to his left is Denki, and he’s surrounded by everyone who cares about him. They’re both squeezing his hands as the movie comes to an end. 

Eijirou squeezes back, his heart full.

Opinion on circuses: I think I went one time as a kid, I don't remember anything but the half scary clown. I don't particularly care about it as long as they aren't hurting animals. That's something I heard happens. QvQ

Do you have any sense of direction?: Sort of? I have a fair grasp on what direction I'm going from a peculiar point, like my house. But if I lose track of my origin point I get lost. I rely entirely on the memory of houses, monuments, trees and other stuff that caught my eye to get around. And I have to glance backwards from time to time too, otherwise I won't know my way back xD GPS All the way otherwise. Oh and my mental map consists entirely of roads to places. Most of the time I have no idea where places are in the world until they cross a path I know, like a giant puzzle missing pieces until they connect. And I get very disoriented in buildings, especially if they have multiple stairs and rooms. Anyway, I'm done xD Now who to tag..
