I'm currently devouring the e-rated Eddie Munson/Chrissy Cunningham fics by @majicmarker and to say I'm obsessed with them is the understatement of the decade. (Please don't tell Steve, he's still my ride or die for Eddie. Mostly... 😘)

obviously I'll never shut up about Dirtbag by betts or Teen Beat by floggingink those two fics are everything to me and influence everything I write for hellcheer always

I tend to favour fics that almost establish a world of their own. that goes 1000% for the first one's free series by uwusillygirl it is iconic to the extreme. and I'd like to pair that rec with a smutty series inspired by the first one's free dynamic: slut (affectionate) by anonymous. since we're here I also need to rec bedroom eyes by uwusillygirl, which is based on Ti West's movie X and is both nightmarish and stunning.

if you're looking for something funny, I want to rec every incredible fic from kattyshack, but I'll single out two: alexa, play “she bop” by cyndi lauper in which eddie works at a sex shop and is head over heels for friend and customer chrissy; and midnight angel, won’t you say you will? a porny oneshot set in a magical version of hawkins, in which eddie is a ramen-eating vampire. another of my laugh-out-loud faves is Your Plans in My Plans by nbfutureboy, which features an embedded youtube video and a stunning dance sequence.

if you're looking for something immersive, I would go for And the Devil Makes Three by Em_Jaye, which is a creepy supernatural mystery set in the 1680s. I would also definitely rec more by 71degreesout, a more canon-aligned chrissy pov that is so strongly voiced and saturated in big, wild feelings.

I'm also gonna rec some others that don't fit a neat category but are so, so wonderful. (Anything You) Want by jewelledfoxes a friends-to-lovers instant classic. Rules as Written by Aicosu is a fairly new wip, but it's a fascinating little thumbelina AU and well worth investing in at the ground floor. and finally shout to the sky by enoughtotemptme, a fic from wayne's pov that is so, so tender and beautiful I want to shout about it from the rooftops.

I'm missing out so many good ones here, but this is a very talented fandom, so if I listed them all we'd be here forever <3 I hope this helps you find what you're looking for!

As a first introduction to this blog and Eddissy, our recommendations for today all revolve around The Scene™. The beautiful scene that made us fall in love with this couple, the scene that introduced us to the wonderful characters of Eddie and Chrissy: the scene in the woods.

for this one it’s gotta be alexa play “she bop” by cyndi lauper by kattyshack -- one of my fave eddie’s ever written and it’s so light and funny. even just the concept... virgin eddie working at a sex shop and flirting blatantly and potentially hopelessly with the love of his life...

Chrissy’s grinning, pleased as punch with herself. (Filthy, absolutely abhorrent things he’s thinking about right now. Holding her hand, what’s her ring size, etc., etc.) “Okay, fine. What’s with all the suction cups?”

“For your clit.” Eddie plucks one of the display rabbits off the wall, powers it up. “Dual stimulation. Clit,” he says again, pointing to the suction cup, “and the rest, y’know, it’s internal.”

For fic back Friday I'd like to recommend "When we kiss: mmmm, fire" by kattyshack! It features awkward Jon Snow getting talked into trying to seduce Sansa, who is dating scumbag Harry. The story is incredibly well written, funny, and is basically just 8 chapters of increasingly aggressive seduction until they both admit they have massive crushes on each other! Definitely one of my favourites!
