Oh dear...

Sebastian would be hiding behind places that he was small enough for. Before ranting and moving in that small space

"the fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter what we perceive them to be!-" Sebastian would pace around as he shook, voice being low but loud enough for Eddy to hear him, being to young and already seeing what happened after Vermillion vs Aurien.

"The reports say hundreds of guards saw them! And those who were there say they saw them fighting other aliens! Covered in Aurien's blood!" He had a hard time saying her name, but that didn't really matter as he would keep on talking-

"And that means they saw that weird creature get swarmed by the guards as well!" Guards watching other guards getting into trouble isn't anything new for Sebastian to see. But he most definitely should start getting quiet.

He's getting too loud, shuddering a bit too much that the bells on his hat (that mimic rabbit ears, moreso lop rabbit ears) start to make some noise continuously.

".... I .. I don't know why they are after both of them! I- to put it plainly, I thought they would've seen that bird the same as them and only go after the girl! But no!" Sebastian tried to calm down as he went around and around again and again. "The guards saw them the same way they saw the other human beings! As their prey! Their competition, their pet!" He cooled down for a moment, before the anger came back; "and it doesn't matter how else you may look at it! That is an irrefutable fact!" He seems to be talking to himself now. Yelling to himself about this whole turn of events.

Sebastian doesn't really know that much, actually. He just wanted to join Eddy in their time here.

But this seems too rough, to nerve wrecking! How does it even do it? (Sebastian wants to be like that some day)... Sebastian then became more guilty.

He couldn't stand the fact that he just screamed right now. They are supposed to be hiding! He should be quiet. And the fact that his outfit also makes noise with the bells that are attached to the ears (why did 'Pere Noel' give him these types of clothes? It feels like they know something... A clown and pierr-rot mix.... like some weird play on words or so, having one of his hands scratch at the curly strawberry blond hair that is visible thru the hat and hood given to him....)

...he hopes he doesn't get found. Taken or anything-! (That would be humiliating..)

That would be the worst thing ever.

Maybe when they go back to AREPH, he can have a little break and have fun with the friends he made there-! Instead of just- being here... (Even if he did wanted to be here before. The curiosity did certainly kill him, and how he's meek then ever... A little mouse caught in a hole- a rat; a pest.)

Rin and Haru are gifts that Isabel received on her birthday and to congratulate her on her entry into a prestigious pokémon college in Unova where she would study to be a pokémon therapist;

Both Rin and Haru were pokémon trained as emotional support, as the challenges of academic life and in the future of her professional career would not be easy;

Rin and Haru are Pokémon very good at mediation, also becoming Isabel's assistants after graduation and throughout the years of their trainer's professional career;

Being pokémon registered as emotional support, they were the only ones of the few that remained legally in Isabel's custody after the accident.

Alphonse, the Venusaur (male♂)

Alphonse is a pokémon that Isabel got as an egg when she left on her journey, it had been a gift from her paternal grandparents;

When Alphonse was born, he became attached to Isabel thinking that she is his mother;

He used to be one of Isabel's main team pokémon in tournaments and championships;

He is a formidable opponent and still is even though he hasn't been on the battlefield in years;

After the incident he was placed in Kelly's custody and currently he is now a companion pokémon and lives with Isabel in Kelly's house in Motostoke;

He also help tend to the gardens as he enjoys gardening as much as his trainer does.

Eliza, the Dragonair (female♀)

Move set: Rain Dance, Aqua Jet, Attract, Ice beam, Water Pulse, Protect, Draco Meteor, Iron Tail, Fire Blast, Dragon Tail

Ability: Shed Skin

Eliza was a small Dratini who was separated from her herd in a storm at sea and ended up being taken by the waves until she reached the coastal area of ​​the Vermillion city;

The little pokémon wandered through the harbor, being weak without having eaten for days and frightened by the unfamiliar place;

Eliza had sought shelter in a cardboard box in an alley, but was attacked by a pack of Spearow who had their territory in that alley;

Fortunately, Isabel, who was running back to the pokémon center after buying supplies and who was taken by surprise by the storm, passed through the alley;

In a desperate cry of the little dratini caught the attention of Isabel who saw the dragon type pokémon being attacked;

Immediately she sent Dante the honchkrow that easily defeated the trio of spearows allowing the young woman to catch the dratini and take the pokémon to the pokémon center;

The dratini was treated and after a few days a small group of Dragonair and Dragonite had appeared looking for the little dratine;

Isabel was the one who took the dratini back to the group and even though she had become attached to the little pokémon, she had to go back to the group;

That's when the dratini seemed to talk to the others before going back to Isabel and showing that she wanted to stay with her;

This is how the Dratini that received the name Eliza became one of Isabel's pokémon.

Perceus, the Steelix (male♂)

Move set: Stealth Rock, Gyro Ball, Dig, Flash Cannon, Iron Defense, Thunder Fang, Earthquake, Rock smash, Ice Fang, Confide

Ability: Sturdy (normal and mega evolution)

Isabel met Perceus when he was still an onyx who lived peacefully in a mountainous region in a pokémon reserve in the Kanto region along with some others of his kind;

Correction, there lived, therefore, some poachers attacked all the pokémons live in the mountainous area;

He had been attacked and badly wounded just like many of his group;

By Arceus's blessing, Isabel who was passing through the reserve and learning about wild Pokemon from Kanto with the reserve guards;

She was even helping with the patrol in a nearby area and came across the scene of poachers doing their evil deeds;

Isabel had promptly gone to the rescue of the pokémon fighting smuglers;

Arresting the evildoers, she went to the aid of the injured pokémon and treated them;

She provided first aid before receiving support from Officer Jenny and the reserve's forestry team to provide the necessary medical treatment;

After a few days, they were all recovered and ready to return to wild;

Well, there was one that hadn't gone away and when called by the pack he roared as if to say they were going their separate ways;

Perceus' companions understood that onyx wanted to stay with Isabel who was a little surprised before being challenged to a battle;

After an intense battle she managed to catch that onix and welcomed him on the team;

Now days he lives on the ranch helping with security and avoiding internal conflicts between Kelly's pokémon, Isabel's and their trainer's parents as well as wild pokémon.

The Ed Sheeran lawsuit is a threat to Western civilization.

Imagine a painter getting ready for a show in their studio. The scenery being painted by the artist. The night sky is navy blue. It is Kelly green in the valley. Mountains loom in the background, their magnificent color reflecting the glorious sunset. The artist raises his vermillion brush before pausing. They pause and wonder if anyone has the legal right to use this colour of crimson. Will I face legal action for this? That'd be absurd, right? Sadly and wonderfully, the aesthetic equivalent of this way of thinking is no longer as ridiculous as it used to be in the music industry. Presently on trial in federal court in Manhattan is the issue of who has unrestricted access to the musical metaphorical color wheel. The wife and heirs of Ed Townsend, who co-wrote the 1973 hit song "Let's Get It On," have accused English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran of ripping off their father's work by stealing their song "Thinking Out Loud" from Marvin Gaye. The purported proof? Both songs use the same chord progression as their main motif, which is similar but not identical. In its most basic form, a chord progression is a series of notes that are linked together and arranged according to the composer's preference to produce a melody, which serves as the foundation for almost all compositions. The lawsuit and its ramifications are the musical equivalent of telling a painter: You'll have to pay to use red, to finish the metaphor. It was used first by someone else. The argument revolves around whether the centuries-long tradition of music-making is something that should be preserved for upcoming generations of composers, songwriters, and listeners, or whether vast swaths of a human art form's fundamental vernacular should be divided up and parceled out as intellectual property for the exclusive use and profit of a select few. Even by the standards of today, this effort to monopolize and profit off the wonder and joy of individual expression is malevolent on a level that is almost astounding. The consequences and ripple effects could be so terrible that they cannot be described. The Townsend estate's argument is overtly cynical and intended to capitalize on common misconceptions about how songs are written. Music has endless potential, just like arithmetic or literature, but strangely needs to repeat itself. It makes no more sense to copyright any chord progression, much less one as popular as the one heard in "Let's Get It On," than it does to copyright the numerals 6 and 13 or the conjunctions "and" and "but." Townsend was a skilled songwriter, Gaye was a total genius, and "Let's Get It On" is an undeniably outstanding tune. However, neither the litigants nor the wind or the rain have a legal claim to "own" that progression. It is primordial. There are several examples of those chords being played in that order before "Let's Get It On," including a number of well-known ones listed by Sheeran's legal team. Such things belong to the global human consciousness and must always remain as such. The alternative represents a hideous stride toward insanity. Software is already available that can mine recorded music to find more or less countless instances of songs that are "similar" to one another. It will further embolden the unmotivated and litigious to drag musicians into court and demand they prove the impossibility: that they were not, on any conscious or subconscious level, inspired by another piece of music. If Sheeran is forced to split writing credits and pay damages to the Townsend estate. A once-vibrant, albeit incredibly flawed, ecology of songwriters and artists has already been destroyed by greed. That infrastructure has been systematically destroyed by the streaming economy, which has choked off the revenue streams of all but the most bankable organizations and sold off all of recorded music history as a loss leader to promote cellphone data plans. The next obstacle is this trial. The process of reducing popular music to a consensus-driven pay window for tech entrepreneurs and corporate opportunists will have reached its pinnacle if artists must pay a tax for using the most prevalent modes and tones of composition. Gaye was a pivotal American musician who crafted an exhilarating and entrancing original sound by fusing together a rich tapestry of gospel, jazz, doo-wop, and R&B. He serves as sort of the embodiment of why the kinds of restrictions that this lawsuit threatens to impose would be a historical blight. With "Let's Get It On," Gaye and Townsend created a stunning musical scene. Always excited for new Kelly Link. This collection also apparently is going to have Shaun Tan illustrations and is coming out next March.

There are many great short fiction writers (and I've been waiting for the Kelly Link novel for awhile now) but Kelly is a favorite of mine in that I will actually every now and then check to see if a new collection has dropped, which puts here in the like Ted Chiang class for me in terms of personal awareness. Historically I guess I'm also a fan of @neil-gaiman and JG Ballard (Vermillion Sands still does it for me for some reason) and many many dozens more but I'm trying to avoid throwing a list out here lol.

I used to be a very active book blogger and once you get out of that you kind of unplug and and what you find out is the true cream still has a line to you and Kelly Link fiction is always welcome.

Sam's attic is organized in a manner that suggests that it makes perfect sense to its owner. You've been here before, naturally, between your first and second tours, in a trip to D.C. laden with anticipation and anxiety. Now, though, cocooned by his loungwear and with your hand in his, the aura is lighter than the dust particles floating in the beams of golden sunset that permeates the sloping windows.

"Come here," Sam beckons, tugging you forward to a ladder that leads to one such window in the ceiling. Letting go of you, he climbs first, opening the window, and calls for you to join him.

When you do, and you look above the roof, you gasp, before being guided up all the way. The evening is starting to chill, but he puts his arm around you once you're next to him, and you're warm again.

D.C. is a glorious stretch of orange-pink peace before you, mellow and preparing to rest. Nothing like Harlem, you think nostalgically, remembering your childhood with Sam, escaping into the outdoors the moment homework was finished. Both of you refused to return until the sky was amber and honey-hot, and your bodies cast long, stilted shadows that made you both feel a thousand a feet tall.

The same feeling, that, we-live-in-the-clouds-and-we'll-rule-them-someday sense of childish invincibility is something you haven't experienced since then. However, now, with Sam by your side, you think you can be convinced to play at sky-queen.

The feeling lasts throughout the night, even after having subsided from being at the forefront of your conscience to the back of your mind, because you get to be too busy with Sam in the present -- solid companion and everlasting love -- to think too much about the past.

The night is spent talking and touching with the kind of voracious intensity that used to be reserved for last-minute exam cramming. Neither of you realize that you have stayed up -- chattering and laughing and kissing and sometimes just staring -- until the first light of dawn, coming from just a sliver of vermillion on the horizon, hits Sam's face, his features catching fire beautifully.

"It's sunrise," you state the obvious, taking in the indigo that still vaults overhead, now threatened by dawn. Sam looks at you like you're the most gorgeous phenomenon he's ever seen, most fascinating, while a wonder of the world starts to play out in the beginning of a new day. Another start.

13) What is your dream job?

I don’t know if I really have a dream job anymore. I had lots of them growing up, but at this point the dream would just be somewhere where I’m safe. If we’re talking unrealistic, unachievable goals, I’d like to run an indie bookshop that’s both cute and a little creepy.

Absolutely impossible for me to narrow down, so I’m gonna give you several:

The Adventure Zone

Justin, Travis, Griffin, and Clint McElroy play a bunch of different rpgs. Admittedly, the only arc I’ve listened to is Amnesty, but damn it’s good. Episodes are 1-2 hours long.

Astonishing Legends

Do you like deep dives into weird shit? Scott Philbrook and Forrest Burgess have the podcast for you. In each episode, they talk about a different crazy story - anything from cryptids, ghosts, and UFOs to bizarre historical mysteries like the disappearance of Amelia Earhart. This is an unusual one among shows of this type because of how much research they do. They go all-out, exploring every possible avenue and discussing every possible solution, from the mundane to the woo-woo. I’ve been listening since almost the beginning, and they’re five years old now. Episode length varies wildly. Can be anywhere from 1-4 hours long.

I love the fantasy genre, improvised comedy, and badgers, so of course this one is on the list. The premise: several years ago, podcaster/comedian Arnie Niekamp fell through a dimensional rift behind a Burger King in Chicago and found himself in the magical, fantastical world of Foon. Somehow, he’s still getting a slight wifi signal, so every week he hosts a podcast from the tavern The Vermillion Minotaur where he interviews any interesting creatures or adventurers who pass through. Joining him are his best buddies Chunt, the shapeshifter/talking badger, and Usidore, wizard of the 12th Realm of Ephysiyies, Master of Light and Shadow, Manipulator of Magical Delights, Devourer of Chaos, Champion of the Great Halls of Terr’akkas, known to the elves as Fi’ang Yalok, known to the dwarfs as Zoenen Hoogstandjes, and known in the Northeast as Gaismunēnas Meistar. Episodes are between 30-60 minutes.

Jim Harold’s Campfire

Jim Harold has a ton of different podcasts, but this one is something special. It’s formatted like a call-in radio show. Listeners call in and share spooky things that have happened to them, whether it’s ghosts, cryptids, UFOs, or something unclassifiable. There are always some really interesting stories in each episode. Episodes are typically 1-2 hours long.

My Brother, My Brother, and Me

I think everyone on tumblr knows this one but just in case: Travis, Justin, and Griffin McElroy sit down and give an advice show for the modern era. If you have a really boring job, listen to this while you work. Episodes are generally around an hour in length.

My Favorite Murder

I don’t consider myself a true-crime kind of girl, at least not compared to my sisters. But Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff are fantastic hosts. Each week, they take turns teaching each other about a different murder, and their dark sense of humor is very much my thing. I only started listening to them recently, so it’s too early to have a favorite episode, but I love this show very much. The show alternates between full-length 60-90-minute episodes and 30-minute minisodes.

Still Untitled: The Adam Savage Project

Every week, Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame sits down with cohosts Norman Chan and Will Smith (not the one you’re thinking of), and they talk about everything that interests them, from technology to parenting to pop culture. Each episode is around 30 minutes long.

16. Favorite musical artist?

This one’s tricky because I haven’t listened to much music in recent years. I generally opt for podcasts, unless I’m focusing on something else (in which case I need instrumental music). A few of my favorites are Queen, Hozier, Sara Bareilles, Imagine Dragons, Lady Gaga, Barns Courtney, Mumford & Sons, and Fleetwood Mac, but honestly I tend to like individual songs more than the artists themselves. I’ll pick out a handful of songs from each artist that I really like, and then ignore the rest of their catalog.
