Woo got Linux working! On a related note I have gotten over any fear of breaking things through the command line and also can now roll back to an earlier system backup. Yes those are related. In my defense, breaking things in interesting ways is a great way to figure out what's actually going wrong.

How many different versions of the Linux kernel do y'all have ready to boot into? Personally, I have three just in case something goes wrong.

the ethos of ai is not good. the way it drains the environment is worse. the way large corps tout LLM models that turn out to be human analysed data is also rampant. Don’t use ChatGPT or deepseek or anything else don’t give them what you have so valiantly earned and honed as they do not value you

Linux Code of Conduct Board Blocks File System Changes
youtube
Imagine basing code contributions on a Code of Conduct.
I would fucking love for someone to be banned, who then releases code to fix a 0-day exploit, and have whatever FOSS project not be able to implement it because it would mean their CoC is worthless.
Like, Jesus Christ. These people do it for free and you want to tell them, "Do to this violation you no longer have the Privilege of working for us for free. Come back later and we might let you."
I think I've found a new channel to subscribe to.
