The first round will be 8 cardinals each (except 1 poll because maths) and after that there will be 2 cardinals per poll. In the first round, the 2 most voted cardinals per poll will continue. Propaganda is encouraged for your favourite cardinals (as are any artistic endeavours of course), but please don't insult each other.

Cyrano age gap casting crimes
Following up this post
Look at the absolute STATE of Cyrano casting, by increasing order of age gap. & this is just for the famous/big productions & films! & only ones I've seen myself!!
(1st number is actor's age during production release, 2nd number is age gap w Roxane's actress)
James McAvoy, 40 (10 years older than Roxane) < the fact that we START at 10 is a bad sign... Michel Vuillermoz, 55 (11 years older than Roxane) Kenneth Branagh, 48 (15 years older than Roxane) Benoit Solès, 43 (17 years older than Roxane) Gérard Depardieu, 42 (18 years older than Roxane) José Ferrer, 38 (19 years older than Roxane) < meaning that he was literally TWICE ROXANE'S AGE in this film Peter Dinklage, 52 (19 years older than Roxane) Kevin Kline, 61 (25 years older than Roxane) Pierre Magnier, 56 (27 years older than Roxane)
Like... be so fucking for real right now... These two grew up together! As childhood friends! I would accept an age gap of up to 5 years & would DIE for a show where they're both cast at the same age
But wait — what's this? One more name left in the hat, you say?
Jacques Weber, 34 (1 year younger than Roxane!!!)
It is, of course, as always, Jacques Weber from 1983 to the rescue! With the only believable Cyrano/Roxane age gap on this list! 🥳💕
Now someone cast a bunch of 22-year-olds so we can see a historically accurate version...

URL Playlist - Tag Game!
I was hoping someone tagged me in this, and @happy-mokka did!!
The assignment: Post a playlist with a song for each letter in your URL...
I'll make it with links, because I tried making it with inserted songs and it crashed (having a "longish" URL, I guess!)
Shameika, Fiona Apple
Aquellas pequeñas cosas, Joan Manuel Serrat
Ni de mano ni de beso, Gran Sur
The Man Who Sold The World, David Bowie
A la una yo nací, Sephardica (this one is in YouTube)
Cumbiera Intelectual, Kevin Johansen
Olympia, Coppelius
Perfume de Gardenias, Ibrahim Ferrer
Pinky & Moonbeam, Circus Contraption
Eat Your Young, Hozier
Love Story, Epik High
I Will Follow You into The Dark, Death Cab for Cutie
Al otro lado del río, Jorge Drexler
And, as 13th would say, "Tag, you're it" to @saderplate7, @frumpybutsupersmart, @specializationisforinsects, @and-his-hands-were-24-crows (I love how I'm thinking in my mutuals with THE LONGEST URLs, ha), @bardraelyn, @microclown, @renniejoy (as usual, only if you want, like and enjoy it!)

Columbo: Requiem for a Falling Star (1973)
This is a good episode that presents its central mystery in clever ways. The mystery goes in some unexpected directions and the murder itself features an effective misdirect. The Hollywood setting is put to good use and there is a meta element to the story as the actress' current role complements the plot well. The new characters are given some interesting personalities and play off Columbo well. Peter Falk brings warmth to Columbo and adds some humor and depth to the story. Anne Baxter brings some nuance to the killer and creates a unique dynamic with Falk compared to other killers in the series. Mel Ferrer is appropriately sleazy as the gossip reporter while Kevin McCarthy does well as the studio head. The supporting cast, including a fun cameo for Edith Head, is solid and help with the studio setting. The visuals feature some great use of the setting and provides some atmosphere. This is a solid mystery that stands out among the season so far.

Ahead of the NCIS franchise’s actual 1,000th episode (airing next Monday at 9/8c), CBS this Monday night served up the Entertainment Tonight special NCISverse: The First 1,000.
Hosted by ET‘s Kevin Frazier, The First 1,000 featured some new/new-ish interviews with past and present franchise cast members, a few archival Q&As and clips galore from NCIS and its assorted offshoots.
Closing out the retrospective was acknowledgment of cast members who are no longer with us (including NCIS: Los Angeles‘ Miguel Ferrer and NCIS David McCallum), plus some hype for the franchise’s two upcoming offshoots: NCIS: Origins (aka the Young Gibbs prequel series starring Austin Stowell) and the yet-to-be-titled, Europe-set Tony/Ziva series starring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo.
Tumblr media
For hardcore NCIS megafans, brand-new reveals were probably hard to come by. But for the slightly more casual fan such as myself, there were fun facts to be found. Such as….
1. Spun off of a JAG two-parter, NCIS was at first envisioned as following the Law & Order format — half investigation, half courtroom — but viewer affinity for the agents’ clue-gathering and Mark Harmon’s character led to a change in the formula.
2. We’ve heard most of these before, but always fun to ponder: Other actors whose names were bandied about for the role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs included Harrison Ford, Kevin Bacon, Brat Packer Andrew McCarthy, Alec Baldwin and Patrick Swayze, while a post-Friends Jennifer Aniston was eyed to play the replacement for Tony’s original partner, Viv Blackadder (Robyn Lively),
3. Michael Weatherly recalled that when filming his first scenes as DiNozzo, NCIS co-creator Donald P. Bellisario came up to him on-set and grumbled, “What are you doing, modeling?” Weatherly then resolved to entertain at the very least himself with a more animated performance.
4. In the Season 2 episode “Twilight,” in which Caitlin Todd (played by Sasha Alexander) is shot dead by a sniper, Michael Weatherly can be seen wincing a half-second too soon, before the “blood” squib actually explodes. (See photo above.)
5. Actual NCIS agents had never worn stitched logo caps — until TV’s NCIS came along and sparked interest, and the real-life LEOs requested official ones.
6. Diona Reasonover, who plays Kasie, had no idea that Cote de Pablo was secretly returning as Ziva in the Season 16 finale — until she watched the episode that night!
7. Though not a series regular as McGee until Season 2, Sean Murray holds the record for appearing in the most NCIS episodes: 450 (out of 464). Fun fact within a fact: Murray was originally hired as a one-off guest star, but a subsequent episode came in three minutes short and it was decided to bring the McGee character back to fill time.
8. It would take almost 30 days to watch all 1,000 NCIS franchise episodes. Without bathroom breaks!
9. For its headquarters scenes, NCIS: Sydney shoots inside an actual, old restaurant space at the Walsh Bay Wharves along Sydney Harbour.

Hi Jen,
A little PR/Hollywood 🙄 teehee for you that I saw on Reddit.
Looks like there’s someone on X saying that an A list actor is thinking of leaving WME because they’re so pissed by the whole unlawful bs conduct that Ryan R, Ari Emanuel, and WME are doing due to this whole lawsuit thing. Justin Baldoni getting dropped like a bad habit and the influx of more drama and BS that has since happened. People on Reddit are saying the A lister could be Kevin Costner. Which, for those who watched the SNL special, 🤭 that may not be too far from the truth.
What’s funny is that Ari Emanuel is the inspiration for the character Ari Gold on Entourage, a classic HBO show about Hollywood (I highly recommend people to check this show out, especially if you are doubting the lengths these people will go to make the show go on 😉). And if you know how Ari Gold is on the show, there’s not a single doubt in my mind Ari Emanuel is about 100 times worse.
Some context: There’s an early episode of entourage where Johnny Drama Chase, a C list struggling actor brother of the main character, Vincent Chase a rising Hollywood heartthrob, is looking for a new apt in town and his potential new landlord chats about “Vinny’s brother looking for an apt” to someone else and Vincent’s publicist gets wind of this. She immediately tracks down Johnny and tells him he needs to find a new place to live because that apt he found is on the shitty side of town and if the daily mail gets wind of it, they’ll spin it as Vincent Chase is having money problems and he’s broke because his brother is looking for a new place to live, and not in his Hollywood mansion anymore. Johnny is a moocher who lives off his more famous brother, and it’s funny how Vince’s publicist has to look after them both and it’s a big part of the series. She’s also like his pseudo big sister who really tries to make sure he keeps his hands clean and tries to think 3 steps ahead but she doesn’t always succeed. That’s what a good publicist really should be, IMHO.
That was such a small detail but so key to the inner workings of this industry. Anyone who associates with someone in the public eye is being watched, and the way you conduct yourself in public and your image, matters. You never know who’s watching you so you should always be watching your own back.
That being said, anyone who doubts that Hollywood will do anything for anything should really rethink their opinions just by looking at the Blake/RR/JB situation. The plausibility that Jenny Slate and Isabella Ferrer may have been coerced to take Blake’s side and also the other actors who’ve gotten bones throwing to them for siding with certain parties…well. 😒
“You scratch my back, I scratch yours. And if you don’t, well, you don’t wanna know what that looks like.”
Of course, this is all just hearsay from alleged sources and industry insiders. But something I’ve heard you say and others on here, where there is smoke there is usually fire. But remember that smoke and mirrors is also a thing.
Have a great weekend!
I love a good little gossipy type tea. I did talk about this post with a few people, and someone suggested Matthew McConaughey because the post included bongo bongo. But Kevin is an interesting take. I adore that man. On a fun note, I did meet him at a bar almost a decade ago. He was with his band Modern West. I knew exactly what I was doing. I wanted to see one of my longest celebrity crushes. I don't know which movie I was like, yep, I like this man. It was either Field of Dreams or Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

CLOSED! Preliminary Hot Vintage TV Men List
Alright folks! We have one week left on submissions for the Hot Vintage TV Men's Bracket! As promised here is a list of all the Hot Vintage TV Men who have been submitted and passed our preliminary eligibility checks. There are a handful of guys on this list and one or two not on it that we are currently still debating on so reminder that this list is not final and subject to change.
Currently we have 231 Hot Vintage TV Men!
Also in advance of the competition I'd like to remind anyone submitting propaganda for someone that starred in a show that aired only partially during our timeframe or was under 18 for a part of a shows filming, to please make sure you are only submitting propaganda that is from within our timeframe and when the actor was 18 years or older. This is also just good to keep in mind in general as several people submitted actors for shows that aren't eligible for our tournament either because it was outside our time period or in one case the actor was underaged for the entirety of the show (though many were eligible for other shows they were submitted for). We do our best to screen for these things but sometimes it's hard to tell or it’s a show we don't personally know well enough so we appreciate help from y'all letting us know if you do catch anything.
List below the cut
