Something quick for @khoc-week !I didn’t participate through the whole week since I was occupied with other projects, but I want to draw for the last day even though it’s a doodle.

The theme for Day 7 is “Summer’s end”

Hikari enjoys adventures and photography! She loves taking pictures from new places and keeps them in her scrapbook.

On the other hand, Nova likes having afternoon tea with her Chirithy. There is not a day without afternoon tea with those two.

Lemme introduce my OCs since I missed the first day lol

The first one is Hikari. She’s someone who loves adventures and eating sweets. A hard working girl who tries her best to reach her dreams of becoming a Keyblade Master and protecting those she cares about. Though she tends to go a little overboard and emotional, she wanted what is best for her friends and family.

Next, we have Nova and her Chrithy. She’s a quiet girl from the Union Leopardus. She doesn’t have much friends, but she was like an older sister to young Ven and a friend to Strelitzia. She blamed herself for not being able to protect Strelitzia and then later failing to protect Ven, which leads to her end. Her keyblade ended up in the keyblade graveyard, to which later the keyblade choose Hikari as its next wielder. Nova now rests within the Final World, hoping one day, she’ll be able to pass a message to Hikari.

  When the working day is done,  keyblade wielders just wanna have fun.

They loved their beach in daybreak Town, spending time with their friends, so even Touma,  considering he doesn’t like swim and crowded places so much, would be happy to spend summer on a hot beach. Hawaii could be interesting, now Lilo is older and work as profiler for the Galactic Alliance in a rehabilitation program for aliens.

It’s already that time of year again where we come together to celebrate the unique and wonderful fan created characters of Kingdom Hearts!

This year is planned to be larger than ever with more mods on the team and we’re so excited to meet everyone’s characters.

Day 3: The Power Within

Zea wields a keyblade called, Twilight Steel. The power of the Keyblade was bequeth to her by Levis since she was still a child. It was only until recently that she manages to awaken the power within her and wield the Keyblade. Zea’s story revolves around her understanding the power of the keyblade and the responsibilities that come with it. Levis takes Zea under his wing and trains her to become the wielder she was meant to be.

One of Zea’s best traits in the battlefield is both her physical strength and swiftness. She doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty and challenging her opponents to fist fights. Although aggressive in nature, her fighting style relies more on being quick and nimble. She makes use of counter attacks that would catch her enemies off guard.

Even though she lacks the skill to cast various spells, Zea would make use of fire magic that often help her in battle, especially in hand-to-hand combat. Her technique is similar to Firebending in ATLA and LOK.

KH OC Week Day 2 - Bonds of the Heart

I really wanted to create some artwork involving even more characters Amaya meets along her journey, but due to a time crunch I haven’t been able to T_T But I figured I could at least go over the three most important people to Amaya from the start (and share some commissions/some of my own artwork ads;fsdk)!

Amaya has a unique bond growing up with the other members of the Destiny Squad. Click below the cut to find out more about her relationship with her younger brother Sora and her best friends Riku and Kairi!

A little over a year apart, Amaya and Sora are a very close brother and sister pair. Amaya’s more reserved, overly-cautious nature can sometimes bring up a rift between these two, especially when Sora expresses much enthusiasm over building a raft, which Amaya stands staunchly against. Still, she ultimately wants the best for him and wants to keep him safe, so for his and their friends’ sake, she does help out with some of the prep work and planning. 

Their family is very tight-knit and includes their mother, a nurse and excellent cook, their father, a fisherman, and their rambunction little sister Haru, who could use a lesson or two on boundaries xD They have a healthy dynamic at home, which makes it all the more heartbreaking when the Islands eventually disappear....

Without getting two spoilery, after the Islands disappear, their family is never the same. Sora and Amaya spend the majority of KH1 desperately trying to find each other, though they find themselves separated once more by the end of it and weave in and out of each other’s journeys from there on out. They both go through major transformations throughout their journeys and remain close throughout, but some changes do take their toll...

As the girls of the squad, Kairi and Amaya have a fun bond of sisterhood. Amaya finds Kairi extremely easy to talk to, especially when stressed (which happens...quite often, to say the least). Though Kairi is younger and more carefree, Amaya always finds herself taking her advice into consideration when going through with things. The two also love watching crime shows and dramas, and going shopping together!

When the Islands disappear, it’s Kairi that Amaya worries the most about, her heart hurting at the thought of her best friend having to lose a home world again. While they are briefly reunited by the end of KH1, circumstances drive them apart once more. They spend quite a bit of time apart over the next year, with Kairi in Destiny Islands and Amaya in Hollow Bastion, but they don’t grow apart. In fact, Hollow Bastion serves as an avenue to uncover some previously unknown details about her friend’s past...

Riku

Complicated is probably the best word to describe Riku and Amaya’s relationship. Despite Amaya being Sora’s sister, being the same age she’s actually known Riku the longest. One could describe them as best frenemies at the start of the story - Amaya finds Riku’s cocky attitude irritating, and Riku has very little patience for Amaya’s constant naggy attitude towards many of his endeavors (including the infamous raft). Still, the two do acknowledge and respect one another’s intelligence, often still choosing to work together on school projects and the like.

Things change drastically when the Islands are destroyed. They are separated at first, but when they finally reunite, Amaya witnesses his slow spiral down the slipper slope of darkness. Riku’s actions and Amaya’s attitudes toward them affects their relationship greatly, to the point where they are completely alienated from one another. It is after Riku disappears into the realm of darkness that both parties are able to reflect on their actions. The year leading up to KH2 is a turning point in their relationship, where they must work together and learn to understand each other to play their respective parts in keeping Sora safe. 

When they rekindle their friendship, it’s stronger than ever, and though they must focus on the tasks ahead of them, it eventually becomes impossible for them to ignore the fact that their relationship has become something more...

@khoc-week Day 1: Introductions!

Well I’m a little late to the party, but I’m so excited to introduce the love of my creative life, Luna! I first started developing this character soon after I got into KH more than ten years ago. I was still new to the gaming community and to fandom culture in general, and the combined excitement over my new obsession and existing love for character creation eventually resulted in my very first fanfic, which starred the lovely gal you see here! She’s been a loyal friend to me ever since, seeing me through some dark times and giving me an outlet for channeling my creative spirit. She may not be my only OC, but she is the one dearest to my heart 💖

Now for that introduction! Luna here is fifteen at the start of her story, having grown up on a small forested world called Galaxy Town, though her origins are a bit more complicated (I’d love to go over this in more detail in another post!). She’s a gentle spirit, preferring to spend her days quietly by the side of the lake listening to her friends talk, beading a new bracelet, or simply watching the clouds roll across the sky. She isn’t one for conflict and has a tendency to run away from her problems or to let others handle them for her—usually her older brother. Learning to stand up for herself is the core of her character development.

Her story begins when a mysterious stranger interrupts her normal life with the apparent intent to kill her and her brother. In the chaos, her brother gives her a gift: a necklace with a black, star-shaped pendant he calls the Starlite. Though unassuming in appearance, the necklace, made from a rare type of gummi block and possessing magical properties, allows Luna the chance to escape—but only after her brother is taken hostage. Terrified but with no choice but to flee, Luna manages to leave her home world, and the Starlite, acting with a will of its own, brings her to the Destiny Islands, where she meets a certain group of keyblade wielders who may be her only hope of saving her family…

This illustration is kind of misleading because Luna herself isn’t actually a keyblade wielder haha. The Starlite briefly takes on the appearance of a keyblade at one point, but it’s just an imitation. Still, I thought it would be fun to draw her with it 😘 The Starlite becomes the keychain in this form! The weapon itself doesn’t have a formal name (I tend to just refer to it as the Starblade) but it does have a special attack called Moonbeam.

KH OC Week 2020 Day 1 : Introductions  @khoc-week “I’m just a guy who hunts Heartless and make Tiny Storms”.

I’d like to show you my KHOC, Faine! 

Faine has been around in the KHUX era and he’s from the Leopardus Union. 

He used to be a cheerful person when he first arrived in Daybreak Town but an unfortunate event drastically changed Faine’s perception, thus making him slightly reserved and cautious. Despite that, he’s still willing to help out others but with the preference of not being in large groups due to the event involving his first and last party. He only opens up to those he really trust such as his friends. Knowing his real self, albeit him being a sarcastic yet comedic joker, shows him being a protective kind boy.

First Arrival to Daybreak Town - Age 15

Likes: Peace and quiet, playing with Magic, exploration, honesty, investigations Dislikes: Unnecessary destruction, arrogant pricks, lies, harmful trickery

hi hi im a little late but we’ll ignore that its KHOC-Week!

i figure what better way to celebrate than with my oldest OC Lira! She’s been with me since middle school which. . . was very long ago i’m so old omfg

So from left to right is her appearance in KH2/3, in KH1, and in BBS; at 27, 26, and 16 respectively.

She’s a Radiant Garden native and was/is the go to babysitter for all the young’uns, from Ienzo to Kairi and even Yuffie! She’s close friends with Aerith and, among other things, they bond over their love of flowers.

When Radiant Garden falls she escapes with Cid, Leon, Aerith, and Yuffie to Traverse Town, and joins the Restoration Committee when Radiant Garden is restored.

She has a strong fear of heartless and unversed but there isnt much she dislikes aside from the typical ‘liars and bad people’. She has a, not very serious, rivalry with Lea that started when they were kids for reasons neither of them can actually remember.

She gardens as a hobby, and eventually a profession, as she and Aerith open a flower shop in the restored Radiant Garden; Aside from that she enjoys singing and dancing (but not in front of people, she gets embarrassed fairly quickly if someone is watching her) and loves to experiment with cooking (though, not always to great success). She likes Terra. A lot.

Day 4: Treasured Memories @khoc-week Sienna’s most treasured memories is when Ienzo got comfortable enough around her to begin speaking to her and every moment following. Every moment is precious, b her most treasured memory is when he accidentally called her mom.

In the beginning Ienzo was very quiet and would hardly talk to her, as with many others. But with patience, kindness and trust, she made him open up more and more to her. They became closer, he even draw her pictures, which became her most treasured gifs, and Ienzo would share things with her that he had shared with no one else... well at least until he began hiding secrets... But the most treasured memory that beat them all, is when he called her mom. Whether  it was a slip of the tongue or not it matters not, Sienna was happy. Delighted even. In seven heaven. Sienna’s biggest dream is to become a mother. But alas, Sienna can never be one, by blood at least. When she was 23, a hiking accident took her fiance and her unborn child with it, and the following surgeries left her with minor chances of ever getting a child. For a time she was heart broken and depressed, still is on occassions, especially on the anniversary. When she became clear-headed enough, and healed a tiny red head’s scraped knee, she decided to try and compensate her loss with helping other children in need. So actually in the beginning she was reluctant to accept Ansem’s offer to work at the castle, so many children needed her, but then she met Ienzo. She was a woman desperately wishing to become a parent, and in front of her was a child in desperate need of parents. She would have adopted him on the spot if Ansem hadn’t already. 

So him to call her mother, maybe it’s wishful thinking, but maybe, just maybe, Ienzo was beginning to see her as a mother figure. And to see his smile when they were restored- that’s a new treasured memory

Kingdom Hearts OC Week, Day 4: Treasured Memories | Lyro

Lyro has all kinds of treasures he cherishes dearly. Some are memories, and some are trinkets. Here are a few of them:

A friendship bracelet from a fellow keyblade weilder, co-leader of a party he has left long ago;

The morning on which he had noticed a small egg lying near a trimmed hedge in the park, an egg that was on the verge of hatching and contained a certain baby chocobo;

Story time with Locke at the lighthouse, with steaming mugs of hot cocoa and innumerable tales of adventures and treasure;

And a small feather from Locke, who claims it belonged to a phoenix he once befriended. It seems to glow with a soft light from within, and is somehow always warm to the touch.

KHOC Week Day 3: The Power Within

LATE AGAIN FOR @khoc-week​, BUT I’M HEREEEEE

Hikaru becomes adept at using magic as she continues on her journey. While she is capable of using black magic competently (after spending quite a long time struggling with it), she discovers a natural inclination towards white magic. Notable spells in her support arsenal include:

Cure: One of the first spells she masters. Cure is typically a re-energizing magic that can give a boost to energy and hasten the body’s natural healing process. Hikaru learned of a few ways she can manipulate Cure through experimentation, including creating a circular zone of generalized restoration, and casting a type of Cure spell that can linger temporarily after casting (much like Days Curaga and Cura respectively).

Reflect: Hikaru’s most trusted battle technique. She typically has a very sturdy stance, and Reflect was the perfect addition to her repertoire, helping her to develop as a sort of anchor in battle. She can also cast Reflect on allies from a distance.

Time spells: Slow, Stop, Haste, and the like. She can get creative with these buffs and debuffs, often using them to build or halt momentum for impactful blows—or to save their butts from a long fall. Because these spells usually take a lot of energy, she tends to use them in short bursts just for repositioning or strengthening a specific hard-hitting attack.

She uses a cane-shaped staff to help better channel her magic; but she is also capable of casting magic with her hands if need be. (Typically spells are weaker when cast without a conduit, with the exception being Cure under certain circumstances where using your bare hands can allows for more precision in healing.)

Additionally, Hikaru gains an interesting ability early on in her adventure when she meets the Cheshire Cat. She didn’t quite realize what she was getting herself into, but she and the cat formed a “deal” of sorts that allowed her the ability to phase through physical attacks and objects (while still rendering her susceptible to magic). In exchange, she (quite unintentionally) becomes an “envoy,” acting as the eyes and ears for the mad cat who turns out to be much more than he appears.

This spectral phasing becomes part of her ability set for quite some time, though she eventually loses it and has it replaced with a different power after a fateful encounter with another mysterious entity with a close relationship to her home.

And then for Yui.

Yui was called a monster for much of her life, but the true reason behind it only becomes apparent once her entire existence thrown into chaos after the destruction of her world. She has some sort of aptitude towards darkness but no skill or finesse in control, other than sheer force of will—and it’s something she tries her hardest to smother down out of fear.

It’s not until very late in her story that her abilities really come into play, with the most iconic being a dark Dragoon-like entity that acts like an extension of her will and an armor for her soul, allowing her to take on a tank-esque role when the time comes to battle.

At her core, she is not a fighter, but that doesn’t mean she won’t protect what matters.

My second @khoc-week, same charachters. xD Talia and Touma are my twin keykids, members of the Vulpes union and their home world is The Sword in the Stone (their current colors are the result of an experiment that ended badly during their magic studies).  After being stuck in the sleeping worlds for centuries, while their bodies rested, well hidden protected by their Chirithies, the encounter with Riku and Sora during Dream Drop Distance is the turning point that will make them free and return to the realm of Light to the present day. Once free, they had to learn how to use the keyblades with their powers, without medals, so they joined Merlin’s training during kingdom hearts 3,taking also care of all sora’s sub missions, like collecting emblems, treasure chests and missing materials for elaborations, so they could live their side stories during the game! Their personalities are very different, but they are very close: Talia is extremely optimistic and creative, she loves both extremely feminine and graceful things and wildly beating enemies, often throwing herself into fights without thinking. Fortunately Touma is calmer and more thoughtful than she is, fussy and sometimes cynical, but always ready to have his sister’s back. ‘Tsundere’ would describe him well, lol. Their interactions are extremely fun, friendly arguments between them are their routine. Fun fact: their Chirithies have different looks after union X. After so much time in the sleeping worlds, Tia (short for Talia) gained so much experience with DDD’s paint gun that she can change their patterns too.

Day 7: Summer’s End

Before resuming their keyblade training, Zea and Kairi spend their last day of summer together in Destiny Islands just enjoying each other’s company. Sorry I don’t have much energy to write out a lengthy story about their day but sometimes a lazy afternoon with the one you love is good enough.

KH OC Week Day 1 - Intro

Back for another @khoc-week​ with my girl Amaya! It’s always such a joy to write for this girl <3 Here we’ve got her KH1 look from last year, as well as her new KH2 and KH3 designs!

A girl originally from Destiny Islands, Amaya shows a lot of hesitation towards her younger brother Sora and her best friends Riku and Kairi’s plan to build a raft and sail the seas towards a new world. Her objections are of no avail when her home is inexplicably destroyed and she finds herself in a whole new world. She is forced to adjust to her new surroundings and grow up as she journeys to find and protect those beloved to her and help restore balance to the worlds.
