barbie pose quite frankly do you guys ever think about how roier cubito was always gonna have to save himself from the start. how he's one of the strongest people on the island in every possible sense of the world. how he wouldn't even have to save himself if the kidappers hadn't drugged him and they drugged him because they knew he would have won a fair fight. how his strength is almost a weakness here. everyone knows he's strong, if he's in trouble well he's roier he'll be fine he's always seemed fine (he has never been fine). if he'd kept hiding his strength maybe people would have kept helping him with physical threats and maybe the kidnappers wouldn't have drugged him because they wouldn't have known that they had to but he would've still needed to be fine. he's roier. he always has to be fine

so i figure milo has some level of self harming tendencies, at least on M route (looking at the wedding and walls endings), but what are each of the milos' levels of self harming tendencies? i'm especially wondering in regards to how far he's willing to go with that for his love. how would each of them feel about his love self harming? how about his love wanting them to have matching scars?

Hmmm let's see.

PreMilo is probably too scared to do so, though he does prick his fingers when sewing things. Usually its not intentional, but sometimes on really bad days... For his love, if he has to be put in harms way to save them, he will try his hardest to protect him, but his pain threshold isn't that good and he will cry for a long time. He'd probably be very worried about his love if they did self harm, though in theory you can force him to have matching scars.

Violence Milo would probably only do it through forces of fighting, basically he'd push himself to the limit and get himself hurt. He generally does this to get stronger but I imagine it can be some sort of way to self harm. Violence Milo will go as far as he can to protect his love even at the cost of his own life or body. If he finds that their lover is hurting themselves it may end in the househusband ending or the Kidapper ending in an attempt for them to stop hurting themselves (ironic, I know). Violence Milo would be happy to scar himself in the say way though he might feel bad about his love with the scar still.

Manipulation Milo as you say probably has the most tendencies in terms of self harm as shown in those two endings. He is the most willing to harm himself especially if he breaks down, and is willing to scar himself if it's for his love's sake. If he finds his love hurting himself, he will mimic them and hurt himself the same way if possible. As in wedding ending, he really likes when the two have matching scars.

you know how sometimes rereading books a few years later changes your opinion on certain characters entirely bc instead of being some older hot brooding hero they're now just some kid in your eyes. that's me with jace right now

in fact you may have asked his at the perfect moment because i had a whole breakdown about this last night in the group chat last night i feel like this text sums it up quite well

he has 2 to 6 parents depending on how you look at it and for at least 17 years none of them ever loved him. he was fully prepared to go back to his cartoonishly evil kidapper dad who physically abused him bc at least there he felt wanted. he just wanted maryse to read him a bedtime story when he was 10 like she did for alec and isabelle. she never did. he just wants to be loved so so desperately. he can be genuinely hilarious and charming but now i'm looking back on it, it mostly reads like that too is just a way he taught himself to get the attention he wants so desperately. it's implied that he's been suicidal/has engaged in acts of self-harm since he arrived with the lightwoods when he was literally 10.

i think most people (me included!!) just remember him as a sarcastic rude asshole which to be fair is very much who he is HOWEVER every single time we get jace pov he reveals another 5 reasons why he's actually kind of valid in his assholery. this boy is playing DSM-5 bingo and babes his card is FULL and it's literally so upsetting to read. he's just a very sad kid and i'm literally on my way to nyc adoption papers in hand

#The Review

Krakeln is a fun way to help your child with spelling in a super friendly ‘no-pressure’ environment. 16 great levels covering all aspects of life (Food, Clothes, Farm Animals, Sea Creatures, Music, Jobs, Transport, Household objects, Bugs, Safari, Wildlife, Colours, Vegetables and Fruit) with lots of recognisable visual clues to help the child solve the puzzles. The child gets to take their time, and if they make a mistake, it simply highlights the incorrect letter by flashing ‘red’ and allows the child to try again, thus building up to the answer, and seeing the finished word. At the end of the level, the child is presented with pictures in cute little bubbles for them to pop, before moving on to the next set of word puzzles.

The great thing about this spelling app is that it supports English and 3 other popular foreign languages (French, Spanish and German). The child is able to toggle to the country of choice and select and attempt the same puzzle sets. A heads up, parents will definitely get a chance to test their own language skills, whilst assisting their child to help with the translations. if all else fails, the child can work through the spelling in a trial and error wy, where the child benefits from seeing the completed word alongside the picture, which provides great language learning.

#The Test

This app was thoroughly enjoyed ‘lots’ by Poppy, and was a great way to challenge her spelling, which definitely needs improving. She enjoyed playing through all the levels over and over again, each level having a large set of cute illustrations with all the required letters available, yet all jumbled up, ready for her to solve the puzzle.

Poppy found the English words fairly easy, but there was definitely lots of challenging and fairly long words mixed within the sets. One of the best features of the app is that each time you load the puzzle set, you get a different order of the words, which provides a more enjoyable experience.

Now trying the foreign languages was a different story for both of us! I never was a great languages student, and we both had to focus hard to build out the words, and this is an area where the app definitely needs a helpful little feature adding that would highlight clues, like the ‘starting letter of the word’, as this was something that we struggled with German and Spanish.

Poppy found herself playing mainly in English, especially if I wasn’t there to help. Her favourite set of puzzles were what she called ‘under the sea’, which included lots of favourites (Sharks, Mermaids and Whales).

In its current form, the app is great, however, we would love to see the ability to toggle through the languages during play or even to be able to toggle the language of the completed word, allowing the child  to complete the word ‘Monkey’ in English, and then have the ability to display the word in French ‘singe’. That said it didn’t take anything away from our experience and Poppy’s enjoyment. I felt that the app was a big hit!

Value for Money: 5/5 - This app is ‘free’ to play with a great demo, and only 99c to unlock all the levels.

I seriously don’t get why a movie about a talking raccoon and walking tree ... or a 4th reboot of a weak story about genetically grown dinosaurs who are supposed to be weaponized so murder puppy raptors can go behind enemy lines and kill soldiers... is somehow worse than space Draconians and the Wolfman rescue modern Cinderella. Don’t get me wrong, I love Guardians of the Galaxy. I enjoyed the latest installment of Jurrassic World... Park... Dinos vs. People and people lose again... a lot. They all do their job. They entertain me. So does Jupiter Ascending, though. I don’t understand why people were so down on that film. I thought the protagonist worked. She wasn’t a bad ass Sarah Conner but neither was Sarah Conner at the beginning of Terminator 1. She trained herself to be that woman by T2. Ripley? Definite bad assery right there. Classic bad ass in space. She was a civilian and got through things with the help of some space marines, her wits, and while scared to death half the time in the first 2 movies. Leia Organa? Total bad ass. Love her, but she was trained to direct her innate courage and intellect. Jupiter Jones is just a woman (like early Sarah Conner) doing a crap job in a mediocre life. She gets smart quickly and adapts well to her environment not by being able to suddenly gain combat training out of nowhere but using her brains. She gets kidnapped a lot, but weren’t there ... 2... 3? Liam Neeson movies where somebody gets taken and then Dad/Husband/Other family goes running across the planet to rescue the kidapp-ee? It made sense that Jupiter got tossed around in a political mess because of the base storyline. Was it a perfect storyline? Does a talking space raccoon and walking tree really make any more sense? Just because it’s set to cool 80′s music and has Chris Pratt doesn’t make it more solid. Granted the Marvel movies tend to have more humor and that was part of what sells Guardians of the Galaxy for me. Action, humor and great FX. Well Jupiter Ascending has space Draconians, romancable wolfman and space furries. So I’m just as sold on that. The plot wasn’t any worse than “let’s train the raptors to eat enemy soldiers” as far as I’m concerned. Or a lot of other movies out there that I like, but that doesn’t make them grand cinema.

A lot of movies are just fun and I thought Jupiter Ascending fit that category. The only complaint I would have was that one of the action scenes felt a little bit too long. My attention was close to wandering and it could have been wrapped a little sooner. Other than that? Space Draconians, man, it’s like D&D with space ships. I give it 2 thumbs up.
