I think there’s a very big difference between darkness and Darkness in kh and I don’t just mean the Darknesses.
Throughout most of the series, darkness is represented by purple. Ansem, Terranort, Riku. They are covered in black sludge and purple mist whenever they use their powers.
Darkness, however, is represented by red. Terra, the Nightmares, Rage-Form, Goat Xehanort, Vanitas.
I think one, the first, is the natural darkness of someone and the other is “Created Darkness.”
In bbs, terra asks where the darkness came from and his red Darkness is fully realized after he is pushed by Eraqus and Xehanort. In DDD, the red Nightmare intentionally latches itself onto Sora. For Sora, he made himself fall to darkness. Additionally, Vanitas was literally created from Darkness.
That’s not the say the Darkness isn’t the Darknesses but I think it’s like not every rectangle is a square. Whether that Darkness is placed there by the Darknesses or has a unique property that attracts them, there is clearly a different between the darkness of some characters and the Darkness of others.
And then we see Yozora, who is half blue half red. He says that isn’t how he normally looks and the Star says he’s been changed beyond recognition. Someone made him that way, someone put Darkness (or some other force) within him.
Anyone have any others or ideas on this?

Okay so I was in the dms with Chao and I came to a shocking discovery about Xehanort and the player....
Okay so this boyo seems to be the canon player model right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Iike I know there's no canon player but these guys are used in marketing
Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure this is an official icon.
Anyway, so we know that it was just him and Xehanort on the islands. Xeha had access to players memories, in those memories were Skuld and his mother.
Now, you might be wondering where I'm going with this? You see, I think that, besides players memories, Xehanort has no idea what a woman is. He knows what a mother is, but I don't think he ever understood what a woman was until Scala. I think he looked at Urd and Vor and wondered what the frick was wrong with them.

Kingdom Hearts Theory: Minnie Mouse was Once a Princess of Heart
In the original Kingdom Hearts, we are introduced to the seven Princesses of Heart: Belle, Snow White, Alice, Jasmine, Aurora, Cinderella, and Kairi
Tumblr media
Later however, in Kingdom Hearts III, we are shown that a princess of heart does not remain one forever, and there title is eventually passed on to another young maiden with a heart of pure light. Of the newest generation, we only know of three. Elsa, Anna, and Rapunzel.
Tumblr media
Since we know that there are multiple generations of Princesses of Heart, it stands to reason that Kairi’s generation was not the first. Knowing this, I think there is a high possibility that Queen Minnie was a Princess of Heart in her youth. Likely during the period of The Country of Musketeers.
Tumblr media
During the Three Musketeers movie, Minnie acts a lot like how a princess of heart tends to. At this point, Mickey already knows about outside worlds, having explicitly journeyed to the country of Musketeers. Perhaps this was due to the presence of a princess of heart in this world.
The second piece of evidence that inclines me to this theory is Minnie’s proficiency with light magic without much evidence in regards to prolonged training. In Birth By Sleep, Minnie is easily able to banish Pete to a pocket dimension. Then, in Kingdom Hearts 2 escort quest, she is able to use the faith spell with seemingly no limit in regards to the amount of times casting in in quick succession. Even Mickey is shown to have limits when it comes to casting his magic, with him explicitly not casting time magic at the beginning of the final act of KH3 for fear of using up all his magic.
Minnie is only ever seen using very powerful, but not very precise magic. This speaks to her having large magical potential, but little in the way of training. Instead, her magical power likely comes as a remnant of her time as a Princess of Heart.
Ultimately, this is not a big theory, nor is it perception changing about the entire series. I just thought it was a neat thing I came up with and wanted to share.

I know we all freaked out when we saw Strelitzia in the trailer and most of you were probably really surprised to see her in Quadratum, but to be fully honest with you guys, that was easy to predict.
I mean, we could guess easily that she would come back one way or another from KHUX cutscenes (the true dandelion, Brain talking about data-versions of them to Lauriam, her only having so little screen time while being so important to the story... She was bound to come back.) and where could she have been other than in Quadratum? The place that no one talked about before because no one knew it even existed and no one could have reached it (which explains the lack of foreshadowing about her location)?
I dunno, it was pretty obvious to me.
But you know who else have no foreshadowing about their location, yet have been clearly teased to be still alive and to have a comeback later?
Skuld.

Uniform Keyblade Theory:
Starlight: The one thing all the wielders of Daybreak Town have in common, besides their keyblades, is their Chirithies. Unlike most Spirits, Chirithies aren't made from their wielders' dreams; they're created by the Master and then connected to their wielder.Starlight reflects this. Chirithies are created to guide their wielders in gathering light.
In other words, they're like Sora's Oathkeeper and Oblivion keyblades, formed from his bonds with Kairi and Riku.
The Foretellers' keyblades are forged by the Master. Their designs also reflect this.
Dark Road's Keyblade, which I like to call Falling Star: ... I don't know. We don't know much about Scala ad Caelum.

I have a couple Kingdom Hearts theories after playing through Re:Mind and Melody of Memory finally and watching the KH4 trailer. Of course, spoilers are going to be below for KHIII, Melody of Memory, etc. At the end of MoM, we figure out that Sora is stuck in a place called Quadratum which is referred to by Ansem the Wise as “a land of fiction”. In Latin, Quadratum translated to “a square”. Square. Square Enix? Could this “land of fiction” be the Square Enix games? When the trailer first came out, fans were very keen to point out how much the trailers style looked like that of the newest Final Fantasy games. Could it be that Verum Rex is an imitation of a Final Fantasy game? With the end of Re:Mind having Yazora wake up in a car which perfectly imitates the Final Fantasy Versus XIII scene. Also another little tidbit, Yazora has one blue and one red eye, which coincidentally matches the two different eye colors of Noctis. The naturally blue eyes, and then when he summons an Astral or channels their power his eyes turn red. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN???

“If a shooting star comes this way, I will protect you” 💫🌴🌊✨
I want to extend a huge thank you to the Soriku community. 🫶 It’s been 4 years since I joined the KH fandom, and y’all have brought me so many moments of laughter, joy, and happiness that I will treasure forever. KH has gotten me through some of the most difficult times in my life. So, I wanted to celebrate by finishing a piece that I sketched but never finished 4 years ago. They mean everything to me ☝️

The vast difference of how Sora gains Oathkeeper vs Oblivion is pretty telling of Riku's feelings towards Sora during KH1. The lucky charm given to Sora as a gift vs him finding Oblivion abandoned after Riku is lost to the darkness. Nomura: Its (Oblivion's) development name was the "Riku Keyblade." In early stages we planned to have Riku give you a keychain, just like the lucky charm, which is why the keychain is a different colored version of Sora's necklace.

Day 134, technically, because once again I haven't slept yet so it still counts! I spent all day procrastinating on the dishes by doing everything except dishes and art, but I did get some art work done! I'm not sure how I feel about the leaves I've added to the vine—I can't tell if they're too big or too busy or perfect the way they are—but we'll see how it looks when I'm done with the whole thing.

Tbh I’m beginning to think the reason why “the door” lost relevance in kh and is now coming back after kh3 is because the door and Sora directly have ties to Riku. Something about the door that sora has to open relates to Riku and with the side games not having sora and DDD not focusing on sora but instead rikus perspective makes it so the door fell to the wayside.
In kh1 sora is told he’ll open the door. Riku and him then end up on opposite sides of the door. In com sora is constantly opening new doors in castle oblivion to reach Riku. In kh2 sora returns to the realm of light through the door with Riku after cementing their relationship and promising to stick together. In MoM sora and riku are once again separated from different realms and the guardians need three keys to get back to sora. The “you are the one who will open the door” is brought back again in remind, told to sora. If sora had already opened the door why bring it back again? Not once was it mentioned through Kairi and suddenly it’s brought back after 20 years in a game that is heavily implied to be sora and riku fighting to reunite?
Sora also literally went through a magical door to reach Riku in the realm of darkness. And in kh1 he went through the manifested door in the secret place after confronting Riku who said “the door was opened”.
What the hell is the door and why is it tied to sora and riku’s relationship?

Think, Sora. Think of the person who's most special to you. See that faint glimmer way in the back of your heart? That's a piece of your memory, Sora. Call out to it! No matter how far away the light gets, your heart's voice will always reach it.

Um... Would anyone be interested in helping me with my Keychain Canonicity Project? Specifically 358/2 Days?
The project is basically a list attempting to figure out what weapons are canonically used and when, under the assumption the the base weapons appearing in select cutscenes and Theater Mode is just a technical limitation, among other things.
Please?
