i just want to talk about kintsugi because i fucking love it and fob is stirring THAT pot. kintsugi is the japanese concept of restoring broken ceramic or pottery by applying a thin layer of glue and spreading gold powder over it to repair it. the message of kintsugi is strongly laid in the idea that broken things can sometimes be repaired into even more beautiful items. That sometimes the flaws we have don't need to be hidden away, and can add value to our character instead. Not all cracks are ugly, not all cracks are unfixable. kintsugi KID, i think, is really about how people grow up and gain cracks and the kintsugi kid is making the broken cracks of themselves into features, not blemishes.

Fake Out and Kintsugi Kid are sisters while Heaven, Iowa and So Much (For) Stardust are like. Cousins who love each other but whose parents don’t really. The sisters parents are divorced btw. Does this make sense.

WIP for my planned The Kintsugi Kid poster- because Photoshop is not working.

The plan is to make it like a grungy poster (well, like all my works), but also very minimalistic, white background and everything, kinda want it to be like posters you have photocopied so many times to share with everyone. That kind of vibe.
