Here I am, finally posting Hara’s voice claim art!

I loved drawing this!! Look at my girl!!!! She slays so hard, in both the sense of She Looks Great and She Has A Body Count. I love her.

The reason I chose this song as her voice claim is mostly just because I like it. I prefer it over the original by AURORA, because I like rock a lot more that… whatever genre the original was in, and Lauren Babic’s voice just scratches my brain in the best way.

Also, I generally just think Hara would like this song. Most of my characters share my music taste, so of course one of my favourite characters that ive ever created would also enjoy rock music.

There are a few lines I think fit her character, but for the most part, I just like this song and think Lauren’s voice fits her.

Name: Quiver Knight

Personality: Snarky and grumpy, she has a hard time letting people get close to her and prefers to keep a distance. Is fiercely protective of those who manage to crack that tough shell of hers, almost overbearing.

Backstory: Quiver was a high-ranking officer during her service in the GSA before their downfall to Nightmare's monsters. She was in charge of the support troop specializing in archery or long-range weapons. She formed a mother-son relationship with one of the trainees but he lost his life in a battle, completely crushing her fighting spirit and caused her to put up sturdy walls. After the war, she became a recluse and travels from planet to planet, and never sits in one place for too long, helping anyone she passes by and sees in trouble, whilst still keeping her identity a secret.

🌙 Welcome to the Kirby OC Tournament! 💫

CURRENTLY: Round Six (Semi Finals) and the Second Chance Brackets!

the oc tournament is back again this year, and will be hosted by @starflungwaddledee and @moonverc3x!

this is a fun and friendly popularity contest for kirby-verse original character designs and their associated stories or lore. competitors can submit their characters to the competition during the submission period, after which characters will be matched randomly together in public polls for voting!

there will also be a second-chance bracket, to allow folks voted out early to continue playing and participating in the contest. polls are open for anyone, competitors and spectators alike!

in between each match-up, competitors can create artwork "propaganda" for their characters which will be shared to the blog! getting your character in front of voters will help people to recognise and care about them, and can increase your chances of getting votes-- as well as new fans-- for your OC!

submissions open: april 8th see below for how to submit your oc! submissions close: april 30th brackets announced: may 10th voting begins: may 13th bracket length: 1 week break length: 2 weeks each voting bracket will last One Week with public tumblr polls on the @kirbyoctournament blog. there will be a week between polls to give competitors time to draw up additional propaganda! depending on the size of the first bracket in particular, poll posts may be staggered over several days. if this happens, the break week will begin after the final poll closes.

🥳 how to submit your oc 🥳

Submissions are CLOSED as at midnight of April 30th. to submit your oc (only one oc allowed per participant!!), simply make a post on your own blog introducing your character with art and/or any lore you'd like to include! make sure to tag the @kirbyoctournament in your post (please do not submit via the ask box.) despite being an oc centric event, you can include canon characters in your OC backstory and propaganda. here is a template for submissions, but this is just a guide and you can deviate from it as necessary! if you want to write a lot of text, consider putting it under a 'read more'! "It seems that, through a strange turn of events, a temporal portal has opened and brought forth an ancient Astral Warrior! The Bane of all Dark Matter, Lady Phosphor has arrived! This Ancient wielder of Galaxia is competitive to a fault, so its no wonder she's joined the competition while she's trapped in the future (for her anyway!).

Thankfully, while she's here, Meta Knight has constructed a translation device so that she can speak to everyone easily"

Name : Lady Phosphor of BrightStar

Personality : Sort of an odd mix of Both Kirby and Meta Knight. She's usually cheerful and optimistic, with a severe love of sweets, but she can turn serious on a dime and take control of a situation easily- she wasn't the High General of the Ancient Astral Armies for nothing!

Loreeee :

An Ancient Warrior from before even the Galactic Novas, Phosphor was the High General of the Astral Armies during the War of Dark Matter. Her Light magic proved invaluable against the Dark Matter, and her presence more often than not turned the tide in any battle.

She was a Ward of the Astral King, and the first person to ever Wield Galaxia. she was incidentally the ONLY person to wield Galaxia, as Galaxia refused all who tried after her death. that is, until Meta Knight came along.

According to the old texts and stories, She died in the final battle against Dark Matter when she sacrificed herself, using her own life energy to fuel a massive blast of Light that took out the leader of the Dark Matter along with almost all the others nearby.

She doesn't know this, obviously, as it has yet to happen to her, and Meta Knight would like to keep it that way. the less they mess with the Timeline, the better.

yes, i'm participating!

i wasn't around last time the tournament ran, so i was super excited to see it was coming back! i'd been planning on participating even before i was invited to co-host.

my submission entry is coming along well!! as you might imagine, i'm doing a comic, though i might not be able to keep that up during the course of the competition itself (especially as hosting/modding responsibilities have been a little more time hungry than we predicted 😭💦). but we'll see!!

Anyways, This is Writer Waddle Dee (Wridee, as I like to call them)!! They prefer They/Them, but go by any pronouns! I modeled them a lot after me because they were originally a joke self insert oc I made months ago, so it'll be really hard for me to describe them lol

Backstory?:

●They're a self-publishing, kinda small author that writes about Kirby's journeys!

●Just a simple civilian, y'know, nothing dramatic!

Personality:

●They're a bit sarcastic and loves to make self depricating jokes?

●They're reserved, but have a few close friends and those she'd call acquaintances.

●She's acts very competitive, but it's really all-bark-no-bite.

●He follows a lot of the rules and tries to inforce them best they can.

Misc. Notes:

●Loves sweets, but especially likes donuts

●Finds it difficult to drink strong, caffeinated drinks

●Loves rain and mostly likes to write when it's storming outside because they find it inspirational

●They really don't like to write at a desk, even if it's available. They actually like to write on their bed

You'll notice there are already 8 characters on the bracket, these characters are Taranza, Daroach, Bandana Dee, King Dedede, Shadow Kirby, Dark Meta Knight, Marx, and Magolor! There's no need to submit these characters since they're automatically in ^-^

Those of you who haven't been around for Season 1 or Season 2 may be confused about why Kirby and Meta Knight aren't here, and the answer is that Kirby won Season 1, and Meta Knight won Season 2, so they will be left out of Season 3 to give others a chance at winning!

Qualifications for submissions

The characters you submit must:

Be a Kirby character, no OCs allowed!

Show signs of sentience! (ex: While Whispy Woods is a tree, he has definitely shown signs of sentience and emotions! Therefore, you can submit Whispy Woods here!)

Not have already been denied entry from Season 1 and Season 2 (you can check if a character has been denied by looking in the #poll character: denied! tag!)

Be submitted using the google form found below! If you try to submit a character using the askbox, it will be ignored and deleted!

Rules for Submissions

Do not submit Kirby or Meta Knight, since Kirby won Season 1 and Meta Knight won Season 2!

Do not submit the characters already in the bracket (Taranza, Daroach, Bandana Dee, King Dedede, Shadow Kirby, Dark Meta Knight, Marx, and Magolor!)

You can submit multiple characters, but please don't submit the same character multiple times!

Characters from the anime, novels, and manga are allowed! However, manga, novel, and anime versions of already existing characters (specifically characters that we already have a large understanding of from the games, like Kirby, Marx, Magolor, Meta Knight, etc.) will not be allowed! Manga characters that play small roles in the games will be allowed!

Only a total of 64 characters will be allowed in the bracket, and 8 slots have already been filled, so only 56 characters will be making it onto the bracket!

Certain characters can be submitted together! (For example (but not limited to): Adeleine and Ribbon, Tiff and Tuff/Fumu and Bun, Lololo and Lalala, and the Mage Sisters!)

Kirby villains/monsters are allowed!

Even if a character has enough votes to qualify, they may be turned down from the tournament! The mod will make a public announcement for the character, and explain why.

The number of submissions needed for a character to be safely on the bracket will depend on the number of submissions this gets, but it'll be somewhere along the lines of 3-6 submissions!

Hey buddy....

I don't know you very well, but something I must admit is that from the first time my friend showed me Dotty, I loved him. The unique way you portray and draw, I couldn't say it exactly...the lines, the expressions, even his way of being, Despite not being a die-hard fan of the Kirby franchise, Dotty struck me as someone quite cool who is worth knowing! ^-^

Where am I going with this?

Maybe nowhere, my mind betrays me when I want to convey good vibes sometimes xD.

The situation will not be easy in the OC partner tournament, but remember that these types of competitions are not a race, they are a marathon.

So don't lose faith okay? Friends like nokk0 believe and pray for your victory, with people like that, how can you not be positive about things?

what no I would NEVER completely overhaul my OC for the forth time in a row

So here’s the new and improved Aracnia ( any pronouns ) and rather than being a gay vampire, they’re now a silly goofy plague doctor that I’m fairly certain I made somewhat anxiety coded ( I’m not an expert so please correct me if I am wrong).

Despite their anxieties, they’re actually pretty smart ( probably the second smartest of my Kirby OCs which isn’t much of a competition given how smart my other OCs are tbh ). She is extremely knowledgeable in medicine, but prefers magical healing since she graciously has that ability.

However, if you want to talk to him nowadays, good luck. Why? Well, because of how stressed, pressured, and scared he felt during the corruption of Sectonia due to her and a Taranza blindly following her both pressuring them a lot, he’s a tad bit afraid of coming out of his room and office. They also got an unwanted bonus package of trust issues because of it too, so… yay for them I guess?

Also, as a quick little thing, here’s some crappy low effort phone doodles on how her facial expressions work with his mask on!
