kiribakutodo, summer romance.

it's 1983. somewhere in northern italy.

eijiro likes to imagine that katsuki, shouto and him think about each other at the same time; the three of them reside in the fourth dimension a few quasi miles apart. katsuki, perhaps making vanilla panna cotta. shouto, perhaps grazing a dandelion against the back of his wrist, while eijiro watches. possibly the reverse.

thier romance is a constituent of adoration and sapphic summer serenity. eijiro takes ten photographs of katsuki’s elbow because it looks so serene under the grass. shouto persuades him to accommodate an ant on his wrist and memorize its track. shouto and katsuki are so lulled by the feeling of that grass, ventriloquized by the wind against their skin, that they don't notice the landing of a bee on their interlocked ankles. it looks comfortable for the ten seconds that it rests and it's somehow the most natural scene eijiro’s ever witnessed. so he says nothing.

sticky peace juice on their fingers. ice-cream cones left to melt on the asphalt. windows flung wide open. laundry billowing on the clothesline. an orchard of apricot trees. the chime of sea breeze through the leaves. the river simmering with heat-haze. days unravel in reverse.

in this lifetime, it starts raining when shouto and katsuki call eijiro by his name. in the next, the world stops breathing as he watches them kiss. in another, the three of them jump into the lake at dawn and never come up for air.

"No, it's… right to the point."

 Hanta sighed in relief. He really didn't want to offend the other. He was happy he had practice listening to people and their problems. "So you think Katsuki would be angry with you if you tried to join?"

1.  i hope you know (you don’t go alone)  by @badmatch

This is a really nice fic about Kamino and Bakugou’s kidnapping, and Kirishima and Todoroki working together to rescue the person they care about. It’s a really nice tell of the scene, because it includes Todoroki, rather than being centered on Kirishima. 

2. When Destiny Calls by @chestnutpatronus

An angsty, domestic Hurt/Comfort work about the life as pro heroes and how hard it can be when your partner gets hurt. A really, really great work honestly. 

3. What Goes Bump In The Night  by @ravinraccoons

A super cute multi fic work of the boys getting together, a lot of cool humour and interesting chapters, a definite must read!

4. #tfw Ground Zero breaks twitter by @badmatch Words can not describe how much I adore this work! It’s so funny, and a perfect representation of the wonders of the media. It’s such a good work, has such good connections and domestic fluff and will have you laughing so hard, especially this one line:

“At about 3AM Ground Zero posts a tweet on his much-followed but little-used Twitter account. It’s in response to an article posted by the Musutafu Daily entitled, Ground Zero VS Shouto VS Red Riot: Just WHO is Dating WHO? The reply is simple and effective.

Ground Zero  @explodokills@Musutafudaily I’m dating them both. Deal with it.”

5. It’s Just A Spark, But It’s Enough To Keep Me Going by the mods! @dylpickleghost , @vellichorial and @kirishi-gay This work is different for each chapter, based on prompts. The first s..quite angsty, and is about Bakugou and Kirishima having a fight about Todorki. The second is complete fluff and quite long, of the three boys going on the first date to the aquarium, and the third is a timeskip to them as third years. 

For some fics other than those written for TodoKiriBaku week, many of the members of the TodoKiriBaku server also write! 

Firewood, Peppermint and Cinnamon  is another work written by the mods! It’s a multichapter fic set in a halloween AU, with Kirishima as Little Red Riding Hood, Bakugou as a Shifter, and Todoroki as a Vampire. It’s about how they become mates and the different problems that come up because of this, and how they’ll get through them. Lots of fluff, and hurt/comfort. 

If you love me let me here you say it is a really sweet, fluffy one shot about a touch starved Bakugou and his two affectionate boyfriends, and describes how he starts to get comfortable with asking for touch and is really happy to recieve it. 

Cupid Can’t Shoot by @ravinraccoons is such an adorable, silly fluffy work!! IT has Todoroki and Kirishima’s mutual awe for Bakugou, and is so fluffy, it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The ending is so cute, and it’s a really, really nice read! 

with you by my side is also by one of the mods, and is a really fluffy telling of how they got together, and how they help out one another and are there for each other. It’s pure fluff with some nice cuddles and a three part view on the relationship. 

How the Story Unravels by @becauseiammildlyashamed is a really cool Fantasy AU with Barbarian Bakuguo, Prince Todoroki and Dragon Kirishima. Todoroki and Bakugou are travelling together, and come across Kirishima, who has no idea how to act with humans. It’s really nicely written and a really nice read. 

Discoveries by @becauseiammildlyashamed. This one is Explicit, warning! This work is about Todoroki being extremely new to sex and whatnot, and Bakugou and Kirishima helping him through that.

A new kiribakutodo fic !

Chapter 1

“I know you’re there.”

Kirishima stepped out from the edge of the trees, a fond look on his face despite being caught.

Bakugou stood in the middle of the small lake with his back towards him, the water silver under the moon’s light that illuminated the clearing in the woods.

It was likely nearing midnight, and there Bakugou was, naked in the water, his clothes lying in a neat pile just at the edge of the lake.

He looked ethereal.

“It’s cold tonight,” Kirishima commented, once he tested the water with his hand, sitting down near Bakugou’s discarded clothes.

The blond hummed, raking a hand through wet hair. Kirishima’s eyes followed the path the water took from his neck down his back. He watched as Bakugou turned his head, eyes giving him a once-over. “You coming in?”

Kirishima shook his head. “Not tonight.”

“Suit yourself.” Bakugou didn’t press the matter further and he completely submerged himself in the water for a few moments before coming back out, a deep sigh escaping him.

He turned around and started walking towards his clothes, where Kirishima had already stood up and picked up the other’s cape.

Bakugou let Kirishima drape his cape across his shoulders, making sure it was closed in the front to prevent the chill of the night from getting through. Kirishima picked up the rest of Bakugou’s items as he followed after the blond who walked back to where their fire was, where Bakugou would sleep as Kirishima kept watch, then switch in a few hours.

They’d come along way from when they first met, back when they were smaller and Bakugou stumbled upon a beat up dragon.

Bakugou was a king.

Or, he would be. He was a prince right now—his parents were the actual King and Queen, ruling over the kingdom and keeping them in peace. Bakugou was a prince, yes, but he was a warrior at heart. He was always the first to charge into a fight whenever someone challenged him, whenever there was danger in the kingdom.

Bakugou had been the one to single-handedly take on a small group of mercenaries that snuck into the castle one night. Queen Mitsuki and King Masaru had been startled when they woke to see the pile of unconscious bodies their prince had left out near the castle doors, a warning to prevent others from attempting the same.

That was right around the time Bakugou got bored with the castle and his duties as prince—because he was well aware of the role he had to play, but as well as he played it, it didn’t mean he liked it—so he left. Just took his sword, some food, told his parents he was going out exploring and that he’d be back in a week.

And he did come back in a week, along with a dragon-shifter that refused to leave Bakugou’s side.

8. Which character(s) do you find easiest to write? 

believe it or not, i have a wattpad account where i published a kiribakutodo x reader story but uhh--- i kind of abandoned it since idk how to continue it anymore huhu. i guess you could say that todoroki is the easiest character to write since he’s such an airhead and baby and ugh i love it.

9. Which character(s) do you find most difficult to write? 

LEVI OH GHAD THAT MAN IS A HARD ONE TO WRITE. even though i’ve been simping for him since season 1,,, it’s just?? his personality sometimes is hard to grasp and sometimes im questioning myself if im portraying him as OOC or something

12. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about.

i’ve already answered this one also but i just wanna show one more WIP HEHE

it’s close to completion but idk when i’ll be able to publish it.

heres tododeku, and bktodo

when i started shipping: 

bkdk - since s1, especially after their fight at ground beta! definitely after kacchan v deku 2! 

kirideku - hmm this isnt one i shipped while watching/reading bnha, but found out about the rarepair online maybe a couple months ago?

krbk - i thought they were cute as a brotp in s1, but i saw people online shipping them alot (before i read the manga). i liked em, and really liked their friendship in s2! the kiribaku in my heart LAUNCHED after i read the rescue arc though!

kiritodo - idk much about em? i normally ship them in poly ships like kiribakutodo! i wont include them in the rest bc i actually am not too sure about them

my thoughts:

bkdk - controversial ship but i like them! they have so many complicated feelings about each other in canon and theyre true rivals. they mirror + parallel each other pretty well, and grow with each other!

kirideku - theyre cute! i dont actually remember many of their interactions but i theyre both SUNSHINES who deserve the world and more!!

krbk - UGH WE LOVE CANON KINGS! hori puts so many implications about them.. im shaking. their relationship is the most amazing thing in the entire show

what makes me happy:  

bkdk - their healing relationship! they started really horribly, but as they grow older, they mature and learn to accept each other!

kirideku - all their cute interactions and fanon! theyre uber fluffy and sweet

krbk - a long list.. them saving each other so many times… kiri literally saved bakugou’s LIFE twice (rescue arc, bnha movie) and he didnt hesitate to do so! BAKUGOUS WORDS being what motivates kirishima, and helps him survive and win a mission? BAKUGOU REASSURING KIRI THAT HES A GOOD HERO? them fighting together in the USJ attack? just all their interactions aare so good??? the way they unconditionally and so obviously love + care about each other!

what makes me sad:

bkdk - how controversial the ship is.. i agree they make not have the healthiest relationship since they have so many complicated feelings, but their relationship is mending and maturing!

krdk and krbk - n/a

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

bkdk - anything with toxicity or unhealthy relationships.. bakugou being too mean or arrogant, deku being a doormat

kirideku - i dont read kirideku owo

krbk - their characterization is generally really good but when they treat bakugou as horrible mean character that kirishima has to “fix” 😷

things i look for in a fanfic:

bkdk - future fics! them being top heroes together, after they mature and get over their feelings. hurt/comfort is huge with them, and anything to do with them and how they know each other so well since childhood.

kirideku - n/a

krbk - honestly i read basically all kiribaku!! i love canon compliant ones, and hurt/comfort + trauma after the rescue arc! them building each other up, being an unexpected but totally obvious ship to the rest of 1A!

who i’d be comfortable then ending up with, if not each other: kiribaku is my otp of all otps, but here are my other ship for em all

deku - tododeku, dekuiida, izuocha, shindeku, alot of people tbh

kirishima - kirikami, kirisero, kirimina, kiritetsu

bakugou - todobaku, bakukami, bakusero, bakumina, bakucamie, and like every bakugou ship

my happily ever after for them:

bkdk - being the #1 pro heroes together, power couple of the century

kirideku - uh no idea?? i see them being really popular with kids! theyd be good teachers at UA together

krbk - heroes together, they open a hero agency together, they adopt kids and are super domestic. they never lose their spark and theyre always the ultimate partnership.

big spoon / little spoon:

bkdk - little spoon deku big spoon baku

kirideku - little spoon deku big spoon kiri

krbk - switch! but mainly little spoon baku n big spoon kiri

favourite non-sexual activity:

bkdk - theyve known each other so long, they love slow casual domestic stuff. cute things they missed in their childhood + while being teens because they were too busy having a rivalry and stuff

kirideku - no idea

krbk - ughhhhh they love doing everything together :( but they like hiking together and studying together (kiri doesnt like studying though, he just likes spending time with bakugou)

3: How do you think Midoriya’s conflict with Bakugou will end? Personally I would prefer if they left things as they are and only interact when absolutely necessary, eventually respecting each other as heroes, but it seems that Hori is forcing them together as something more, probably friends, so who knows

Yellow: Favourite fanfiction about your OTP? God there are SO many amazing KiriBaku fics, but my fave fic I’ve read recently is Of Ghosts and Other Inaccurate Things by chezka

Green: Any preferred rarepairs? MinaCamie, MinaJirou, BakuKami, and KiriBakuTodo!!!!

Orange: Fluff or Angst? Fluff bc I just love reading about my faves being soft....... I’ll read fluff ‘til the day i day and will die happy

“Is my assistance required to dress you up, Oh Mighty King?” The voice was obviously sarcastic and very annoyed. Shouto was leaning against the doorframe with crossed arms over his chest, Midoriya’s papers in his hand. He was looking at a naked Katsuki with a cold expression.

“Just shut the fuck up and come here! Help Ei put his clothes on.” Katsuki ordered, while closing the balcony door before Eijirou would catch a cold.

Shouto rolled his eyes and put the papers down on the desk.

“Shouto!” Eijirou said happily, his lips forming a sleepy smile. He reached towards him and when the half-demon kneeled down in front of him, he wrapped his arms around his shoulders, breathing in his scent deeply.

Katsuki walked to his clothes hanging on the chair and put them on while watching Shouto intently with narrowed eyes. If that loser just made a wrong move he would kill him.

Shouto grabbed the T-shirt, which was laid next to Eijirou on the bed, and tried to pray the redhead off him. “Eijirou, you need to get dressed! Let me help you.” He asked gently, while pushing the other slightly away from him.

“But I don’t need help! I can put my clothes on by myself!” Eijirou protested half asleep and tried to put his hands back around the dual haired boy. “I just want to hug you!”

“Ei! Let Snowflake do his job!” Katsuki ordered, starting to get impatient.

“It’s not my ‘job’!” Shouto grumbled back while pulling the T-shirt over a pouting Eijirou’s head.

Eijirou reluctantly let go of Shouto and put on the T-shirt himself then grabbed the pair of trousers laying next to him and put them on, as well. “Where is Kiri’s hoodie?” He looked around, searching.

Katsuki grabbed it from the chair and threw it at Eijirou. The half-dragon hugged the soft material and buried his nose into it, taking a deep breath, then put it on, as well. “It’s so soft! And smells like home!” He grinned widely and wrapped his arms around Shouto’s shoulders again. Closing his eyes, he nuzzled close to the other’s neck. “I like your smell, too! It smells safe.”

Katsuki narrowed his eyes and walked to them. “Ei!” His tone was slightly warning, but, when he nudged the redhead’s shoulder, Eijirou was already asleep. Katsuki sighed, resigned. “Lay him down on the bed!”

But by the time Katsuki finished his sentence, Shouto had already taken Eijirou in his arms and looked at Katsuki expectantly. “Step aside so I can put him properly on the bed.”

Katsuki growled, jaw clenched. Why the fuck was he allowing that shit to touch Eijirou? Why was he the one getting orders? Eijiou’s head was resting against Shouto’s shoulder. Eijirou looked like he wasn’t weighing anything. Not that Katsuki thought Eijirou was heavy because he really wasn’t. Sometimes worryingly so. Katsuki reluctantly stepped aside and let Shouto put Eijirou on the bed.

Eijirou needed to eat something.
