Introducing The Klave Fucktober Fest

Hello Party People, the Hargreeves’ birthday is nigh and what’s a better present for our lovely Number Four (and us) than getting him and his main squeeze thoroughly wrecked? Without further ado... 

Welcome to Fucktober! A prompt fest dedicated to creating mature fanworks for The Umbrella Academy pairing of Klaus Hargreeves/Dave Katz.

Cool! So, who is it that’s hiding behind the curtain?

Your fest runners for this event are CriseCardiac (@thistlemoth) and Teddy  (@yeah-klave), just a couple of friendly neighborhood smut enthusiasts dying for some content in these dark, dark interseasonal times. Any questions, you can find us on tumblr or, more often than not, hanging out in Elliott’s House.

Okay, how does this work? 

You can submit a prompt here from now until September 17th. The submitted prompts will be posted on September 19th, on which day claiming will open and participants can begin working on their submission(s). Multiple claims are allowed on prompts, and you can claim as many as you want. Collabs are great! We don’t want to be restrictive – the idea of this fest is to encourage as much smutty Klave creation as possible: we want ALL THE SMUT.

Once you have completed your work, you can either: (1) add it to the AO3 Klave-Fucktober Collection - “Klave Fucktober 2021″; and/or (2) submit it to the Klave-Fucktober tumblr page. The AO3 Collection will go live on 30 October and any works submitted to the tumblr page will also be posted at intermittent times throughout the day on the 30th October, and, depending on the number of entries, the following days. 

Alternatively, you can post your work to your own tumblr, however, if you’re doing this, we ask that you don’t post your work until 30 October, please. If you’re posting to your own tumblr, please remember to tag your work #fucktober. Also, if you tag either @klave-fucktober, @thistlemoth or @yeah-klave, one of us will reblog on the official fucktober tumblr page.

Please note, if you are creating nsfw art, you must adhere to the rules of the site you are posting your work to.

What can I prompt? 

It’s a free-for-all baby! Want to see Klaus and Dave having sweet, sticky Saigon sex? Prompt it! Want to see them getting down and dirty in the jungle? Prompt it! Modern AU lazy Sunday morning lovemaking? Angsty, post-argument make-up fuck? Gender-swapped klave (i.e. our lovely Klesbians) princess/stable girl illicit love affair? Office co-workers enemies to lovers? Sex dungeon? Semi-public? Trans? Threesome? Moresome? Full on orgy? First time? Prompt it, prompt it, prompt it!!

So, in summary, as long as Klave is the main pairing and it involves some form of sex, you can prompt anything and everything. This could be as simple as a particular kink or you could submit a detailed scenario. Whatever you’ve been craving, this is your opportunity to get it out to potential nsfw Klave content creators. 

Are there any exclusions? 

No rape and no underage, please. And absolutely no kink-shaming. 

Can I submit a prompt if I don’t plan to contribute? 

Of course. As a prompt fest, there’s no commitment. Often the prompts are a gift in themselves. Your prompt may inspire something wonderful – so please, prompt away! 

What can I create? 

Anything you want, as long as your creation is in some way fucktastic! Write something, draw something, use those graphic-design-is-my-passion skills. Know some songs you think the boys would get down and dirty to? Make a playlist! All fannish talents are welcome and encouraged. We’re here for a fun, adult time together. Go wild.

As a note for fics: there are no word count restrictions. You can write a sexy bite-sized drabble or a slow burn epic where all that antici-- pation and build-up doesn’t come to a tingly, pulsating climax until chapter 10. Multichapter fics do not need to be completed within the fest window.

I’ve made a claim but I’m afraid I won’t finish my submission on time. What happens now? 

No worries, it happens! Neither of us will run screaming after you in the night. Claiming is mostly to give us an idea of what to expect and allow your potential audience to get excited about what might be to come. Allowing multiple claims means you can be as ambitious as you want without preventing other submissions. 

If you change your mind about a claim, decide to fill a different prompt instead, create something that hasn’t even been prompted, post only the first chapter, post later than the fest window – that’s all fine!

I’ve never created anything nsfw before – I’d like to participate but I’m nervous about the theme.

This is not an exclusive environment. We know there are many smut veterans out there who will be eager to participate in this event, but we also want to use this as an opportunity to encourage as many new participants to get involved as well! Whether you’re new to creating nsfw content for this pairing, or just new to creating nsfw content at all – we would LOVE for you to get involved!

There’s no getting around it, posting smut can be very daunting. Maybe you’ve always wanted to create something nsfw but have always felt too exposed or nervous to post it? Maybe you’ve created something in the past but have always thought it was not good enough or not sexy enough to share? To all you lovely people, we beckon you over, throw our arms wide and invite you to join the smut club. 

Smut comes in all shapes and sizes and styles. Just like kinks. Just like people. Everyone has different tastes and preferences – there is no right or wrong way to create smut. What works for one person might not work for another, but that’s part of the fun of it! 

So whatever your previous smut experience level, we would love for you to take part. And remember, if you’ve got any questions, concerns or you just need a little positive encouragement, you can always reach out to one of the event runners – we’re very friendly and we’re both smut-writers, so we’d be happy to chat with you. This is an open prompt fest, where just about anything goes, so please be aware of this when reading prompts and fills. 

We ask our creators to tag all works accordingly, so nobody gets any nasty surprises, i.e. any potential triggers, unusual kinks or non-klave pairings (particularly any sibling ships). However, we caution everyone to read/view/participate at their own risk.

Everyone’s little fucktober snippets are killing me.  I am... not going to survive this month.  Fair play, I’ll share a morsel.

Klaus bends at the waist, leaving his miles of long legs straight, the muscles taught in an attempt to hold the delicate balance of being tipped forward in stilettos.  The back of the red dress travels farther toward his backside with every movement.  Dave knows he’s not wearing underwear.  He never does when he has an opportunity to let the bits breathe.  Dave wants to drop out of the chair and crawl to him on his knees, check his undergarment hypothesis.

WIP Wednesday

Thanks for the tag @salvador-daley. Not sure who has and hasn’t been tagged in this now, but consider this a tag if you want to play. (And if your WIP-snip is from a @klave-fucktober fic remember to tag us so we can reblog it!)

Anyway, here’s my Wednesday wip-flash :

It didn’t happen the first night, or even the second.

It was probably around the third or fourth night when Dave first noticed it.

They were on the bed in the gloaming hours, the warm glow of the streetlight outside their window penetrating the thin curtains and bathing the room in a soft, cosy light, holding off the creep of darkness and suspending them in the golden promise of early evening.

Klaus was on his back and Dave was above him, between his spread legs.

Klaus’ eyes were screwed shut, his fingernails digging into Dave’s back, his hair fanning out on the pillow like a halo.

Dave could feel the prickle of sweat on his own forehead, the damp press of skin on skin and the glorious exhales of pleasure released from his body in soft, exultant grunts.

Dave leaned forwards and pressed a kiss to Klaus’ forehead, nosed along his hairline and tilted his head to nuzzle against his temple.

And that’s when he saw it.

You are the boss of klave smut do you have any author shouts for other tropes? Im new to the ship

omg you’re too sweet, i am klave smut middle management if anything 🥺 and god there are so many super talented people who write/have written for klave, i’d just be giving you a wall of usernames lmao - but i think the klave event collections on ao3 are good places to start!! there’s enklavefest 2021 which is an all-ratings prompt fest we did that i have only recently finished one of my two fics for and klave fucktober 2021 which is all spicy all the time, and a lot of the people who submitted for those have written other klave fic, so if you see something there that you like i’d probably also recommend the rest of that person’s everything. and definitely go back and look at stuff from 2019/2020 too, the post-s1 hiatus is probably when klave had the most active writers and there’s a lot of really incredible work

Listen, I’m not saying anything against the trope where Dave isn’t into hurting but is willing to do it to make Klaus happy. It’s a good, solid trope and I’ve read a few really good fics for it and they are special to me.

What I am saying is that the trope where Dave does get off on hurting but feels bad about it because he thinks it means something bad about him as a person and he doesn’t know there are people who get off on being hurt until he meets Klaus, and then suddenly a whole new world opens up to him where he can indulge in his desire to inflict pain while also making his partner happy, is an untapped resource that I for one would love to see explored more.

Don’t worry tho I have a Klesbians version of this planned for @klave-fucktober that I wrote for me specifically but I’m more than happy for you guys to read and enjoy it as well if you’re like me and want to see this…

Six Sentence Sunday

the lovely @softforklave and @yeah-klave tagged me for six sentence sunday!! so here are six sentences from my upcoming @klave-fucktober fic (currently very unedited)

“Shh… don’t wake the kids,” Dave whispered, and as much as Klaus wanted to disobey in principle, to be loud purely because he’d been told to be quiet, he knew better. If he woke Jamie and Riley, he could kiss goodbye to the chance of getting railed for at least another day, and he couldn’t wait that long. He could barely wait another minute. It had been far, far too long already.

So Klaus bit his lip, swallowed his instincts and his moans, and rolled his body against Dave’s, his hand tightening in his hair.

Klaus ruffles Dave's curls, and Dave ducks down into a kiss. Slow and lazy, not leading anywhere other than back around to itself.

"I like that you're weird," Dave says against Klaus's lips. "My own personal x-man."

"Sex-man. Is that anything?"

"Haven't read that one.”

"File it away for the autobiography."

Dave kisses Klaus again. It's wetter this time.

"Just so you understand," Dave says once they break apart, nuzzling into Klaus's hair. "I like that you're weird."

Vina nodded vigorously. “Yeah.” She thought through Niki’s other suggestions. “And I could… I could tell you to keep your arms up while I touch you all over… Yeah, okay. Let’s do it.” Niki’s smile gave her a boldness she’d never felt before. “Take off your top.” She said with as much commanding authority as she could muster.

Niki raised her eyebrows. “Oh, you wanna do it right now! Okay, uh…” she cleared her throat. “Yes, Mistress.” She said in a sultry voice, and she pulled her top over her head and let it fall to the floor. Then Niki looked at her expectantly. She was at Vina’s mercy. Vina could tell her to do anything. But… what?

“Um…”

Niki’s eyebrows slowly knitted together. “Are… you okay?”

“Yeah, I just… give me a minute to think of something.”

“Okay.” Niki nodded with an encouraging smile. “Take your time.”

Suddenly Vina felt so silly. Who was she to tell anyone what to do in the bedroom, let alone Niki of all people! Niki was still staring at her, waiting. Suddenly, every idea that popped into her head felt so embarrassing. She could touch Niki, like she had so many times, all while Niki just stared and waited for orders. It just felt so wrong. “Orange.”

Niki cocked her head, then put her hand on Vina’s arm. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” Vina said with a sigh. “I just… I don’t know what I’m doing. This whole thing feels so… strange.”

Niki nodded, concern written all over her face. “Do you wanna stop?”

“No,” Vina said, “I just… I dunno. I think I just need help to get started.”

“Do you want me to come up with a scenario for us?” Niki ventured carefully.

Vina raised her eyebrows “Yeah. Yeah, I think that might help.”
