This yarn is ever so faintly less slinky in purple rather than white, but still delightful to work with. I cannot be grateful enough to my most recent commissioner, who picked out the white yarn for their skulls shawl and broke me out of a yarn habit.

3mm hook. Laptop keyboard for scale.

I think someday soon I might succumb to The Fiber Madness and start a piece made with a tiny hook from silk thread….

Hi everyone. I just got back from Eclipse Trip, wherein I left the city I live in, which was in the path of totality, to travel thousands of miles to the town of my father's birth, which was ALSO in the path of totality, to see the eclipse. ANYWAY I was going through one of the only airports where my knitting needles have been threatened by TSA, so I brought only a single crochet hook with me. I had decided to convert Klaziena into a capelet, and I was too successful: I finished the project halfway through the visit.

So I used the remainder of my yarn to make a more different crochet shawl, because, again, this was a Crochet Only trip

Once again, I finished it too soon. So I stole yarn from my mother, and started my second shawl-to-capelet conversion: tasty tamarind edition

The second pic is how it would look if I wore the points in the front WHICH I WILL NEVER DO OF COURSE because this is a capelet, beautiful, stylish, lovely, and not a poncho, ugly, outdated, embarrassing.

Klaziena Shawl

I’m not even sure when I got this pattern, but I saw it in my Ravelry library. And it’s a FREE pattern! In multiple languages. I was looking for a shawl pattern to use one of my Scheepjes Whirl balls on. And the klaziena shawl by Kirsten Bishop looked beautiful. I’ve been wanting to make a shawl with that yarn for years now and I had been looking for a shawl pattern that would look nice with it.…

Im trying the Klaziena pattern as my current project and I don't know whether to cut my losses and redo it now while still in the first major repeat or keep going with an ad-hoc adapted pattern that isn't properly lining up. I also don't really know what I did wrong - is the graphic pattern on that one not accurate (and if so, whyyyyy would you dooooo that???). I can't read (English) shorthand patterns very well, and the idea of having to redo everything I already have, manually translate the pattern and perhaps still not find the issue... Does not spark joy, is what I'm saying.

Остатки сладки 😋 Когда ломаешь голову "а хватит ли на кайму?" и что-то подсказывает, что "нееет, не хватит, причём совсем чуток не хватит!", начинаешь хаотично придумывать выход. Новая кайма. Как душа пожелает. Ну или как нитки решат 😆 На мой взгляд, это единственный минус #yarnartflowers. Предложить производителю выпускать однотонные моточки для тех, кому не хватило буквально на кусочек каймы 🤔 Как думаете? А я пока размышляю на кое-чем глобальным.
