I spent the beginning of the year getting familiar with Kodansha’s manga reader - K Manga - and wanted to give some thoughts on it. Overall, I’m glad to have a way to access manga I normally wouldn’t buy, even if their app has a learning curve.

im trying to find the offical release dates for both the english and japanese chapters of witch hat atelier for the wiki and i am capital S Suffering. from chp 69 onwards its easy cause thats the simulpub (officially english is released like a week later but the intent is there) but i am trying to pinpoint at what point did english chapters get released in general cause the dating on the official websites is fucking insane and i cant tell whats what anymore

this is what im currently looking at. im gonna lose my mind. i dont even want to think about getting accurate dates for early chapters because i dont think theres a way to find that out. im assuming early english chapters first release would just be the volumes but how do i find the japanese release dates??? is there an archive of all morning two magazines with featured chapters and release dates??? if yes send it my way

Tell me why did the first part made me almost cry? I'm glad we got a glimpse into Takiishi's perspective. I guess it makes me a little happy to see that he does acknowledges (in some capacity) Endo and Umemiya (he said his name!!).

The fact that Takiishi views himself separately from being human? Is this because he himself can't understand or feel human emotions that he completely detaches himself from the word because it doesn't fit him? TELL ME YOUR BACKSTORY, WHAT MADE YOU THINK LIKE THIS OR DID YOU ALWAYS FEEL LIKE THIS TAKIISH???

It's complimentary to the way Endo himself observes & can read emotions and feelings yet lacks the capacity to understand them completely (which leads to his bad judge of character). They're both giving flavors of ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder) but I'm not a psych student so I wouldn't know.

That's right fam! If you live in the continental United States, have the KManga app on your phone, tablet, or open the site on your computer's browser, you can rent chapters (including today's release) 99¢ US, including today's newest chapter at around 11am/noon EST today. Mangadex has, very thoughtfully, placed the link to K-Manga's site right where you can see it.

This is not the end of our involvement with the scans, just a heads up that if you want to/can support the mangaka and can't wait for us, it's SO easy! And cheap! We love scanlating, particularly now for Spanish-speakers who don't yet have access to licensed versions, but we've always been transparent about options if you have cash or access. (See our pinned post.) So if you can, do the (right.) thing.

Disclaimer: We're no angels ourselves— we started doing this because two other groups dropped when it got licensed but the licensed volumes were still way behind the Japanese and we couldn’t cope. Basically we're impatient little heathens like everyone else.
