I used True Grit Texture Supply's Kolormarc and Monomania brush sets.

Your art is amazing and I want to eat it! What program/brushes do you use?

Thank you haha! I use clip studio paint - though used photoshop until about a year ago! And I use the true grit brushes mostly, which are pricey but very worth it for me. I'm very picky, my favourites are brushes that have more of a uniform size, both because I'm not that good at lineart so I find it easier to connect the edges when they're the same size, and also because I have wrist issues and I can't deal with pressing down to get the line I want. For lines usually I use true grit: rusty nib- 'dripper mono', and for sketching, true grit: chromagraph- 'blunt waxer'! I also ink sometimes with the himog brush. (Also on my nsfw pieces I often use true grit: monomania- 'last legs pen', but idk if you go there.)

This last pic is from when someone on my nsfw asked me and I made an example post, so it's a naked back but it's sfw lol. For colours lately I've been using truegrit kolormarc markers, and generally I put down a flat colour with a solid brush to get the undercolour first! saves wrist effort haha... (sometimes I use an unrelated bright colour and sometimes I just use the colours of the skin and clothes etc) Also I have the multiply mode off on the kolormarc, it overlaps kinda nice even without it tbh.

Redux of my original comic, Skyfallers (orig: 2016, redux: 2022). I really enjoyed re-doing this short comic, especially with the kolormarc brushes that replicate copics since the original was done with copics and printer paper! Hah.

heya! could i ask what brushes do you use?

AH! i use SO much stuff, and i don't remember where a lot of it came from to be honest, but here are some of the most important ones --

sharpie pen mimic, which i use for all my sketches/doodles/lineart, as it pairs very well with a hard eraser and it's easy to get messy while still retaining a consistent quality on your lines (which is very important to me, if my lines have hard edges in one spot and soft edges in another i start getting scared)

beat tones by true grit texture supply, which are my favorite halftones ever. i also use other brushes by TGTS, namely their kolormarc and rusty nib sets, but i've always found all their brushes to be worth the money if you can splurge.

i just dug through so many of my phone bookmarks to try and find more but i am genuinely unsure where a good portion of my brushes come from? i guess besides these (which are def the most important ones to point out) i mostly use a hard round eraser (which i also use to block in colors) and a fluffy brush called Cloudwash that i cannot find to save my life. will update if i find it or anything else!

I recently started using #midjourney AI to generate images to use as inspiration for my own art, after watching a great video with @floortjesart on the subject, this is my first piece, swipe for the AI image! I know AI has caused a lot of controversy in the art world, and I can see why, but it helped me so much in getting out of my art rut, I haven’t drawn in months due to stress and general life stuff.
