Hey, how you do? No ask for advice this time, just a question to ask. Do you know about the MCs that most either “sweet and naive” or “baddie”, well I wanna ask, have you guys ever seen MCs that are actually smart, commonly sensed, or morally evil?
Hey there Alex,
The short answer:
Tumblr media
The long answer:
With the rise in popularity of manhwa (Korean comics) and manhua (Chinese comics), we're blessed with the opportunity of meeting far more diverse main characters. For a long time, manga has been the kingpin for fandom communities. It still is. But a majority of their female leads are passive doormats.
Korean and Chinese leads, there has been this push competence for their leads. The plots they have written heavily rely on their leads to have problem-solving skills and thanks to that, we see the characters grow to meet the demand of the plot. There are some incredibly strong female MCs in manhwa and manhua. But then like any industry, it's becoming oversaturated. People like smart girls! The thing is, we're getting to the point where low-quality stories are getting pumped out to chase a trend. We're getting "smart" MCs now. Stories that are warping and bending themselves backward to make the MC look better than what she actually is. Convoluted plot points and leaps of logic. It's more of a fault for an author trying to make a character smarter than them.
Morally evil MCs are a different subject. There are plenty of morally evil MCs but the issue is that the author refuses to acknowledge the MC as evil. It's all been "morally grey this" and "morally complex that". While a character can certainly be complex, it doesn't change the fact that the actions made are objectively evil in societal terms. A lot of authors miss the mark that a morally grey character has some good in them and it's not "UwU I had a hard life. Therefore I'm getting revenge now 0w0". It's a huge mess of wanting to make the cake and eat it too. Are there unashamedly evil MCs? Yeah! But there are a lot more evil MCs disguised as morally grey. If you count those, then we certainly got an expanded roaster!
Don't ask us for recommendations. Our memory is pretty shit these days since we mindlessly consume this stuff and it all blurs together.

Changes in NCT
Well, haven't we got an unexpected hale.
First of all, the change of initial plans is evidently very recent because NCT Tokyo was promised in all plan releases in 2023. And, if I'm not mistaken, "Welcome to NCT Universe" show was sold to more streaming channels this year?
It seems, there was a considerable re-evaluation in how to launch and promote the Japanese NCT unit.
The reasons of moving Shotaro, Sungchan, Seunghan, Eungseok to the new boy group that seem to me to be the most logical are: a) the opportunity to debut them earlier, b) the three of them are Korean (and the new unit should have more Japanese), c) they don't fit the newly developed "regional" concept or other pre-selected members (I'm joking, but too tall? heh).
It's been 2,5 years since SungTaro debuted in NCT, their solo fans are at the end of their patience and interest. And, of course, for the idols themselves the wait is very difficult. Most will choose a solid offer right now than wait however many months or years of uncertainty more. As Shotaro trained with the other three a lot, became kind of a leader (at least in the practice room), learnt Korean, staying with them is the lesser evil. He won't lose all the friends he gained.
The official statement promises (heh) to debut the new bg in 2023. Which is actually not hard to do if SM follows aespa's route (a debut with just a single and not a whole mini).
Personally, I was looking forward to more Shotaro in NCT and to Seunghan-Doyoung interactions. It's also a pity that NCT lore got so many blows to its continuity. So I'm saddened by the news. Evenso, I wouldn't catastrophize and cling to the past. I want to wait and see the two new groups to judge SM's decision and form a final opinion.
It is well possible that the change was made due to the need to form two cohesive groups with even number of talented members, who match each other well. For example, if SM found a strong Japanese rapper, it would be hard for Shotaro to be the centre, he would be only a dancer. And Shotaro on the side won't be accepted by his formed fanbase. Or maybe Sungchan had to be moved to the new bg, because he didn't gain enough Japanese fans (I'm speculating, I don't know), and Shotaro didn't want to leave his friend. Maybe Seunghan is such a strong vocalist that he is essential for the new bg's concept. And another strong vocalist is a Japanese, so he goes to the last NCT unit. And so on. We also don't know how will be the new NCT unit promoted in Japan. Maybe the four don't want that future.
It's more important that the guys will really debut and won't follow the fate of the many girl trainees who never made it into aespa or poor Shohei, who was so happy when he was revealed as a Rookie, but his dreams crushed with his health issues.
The new gg was supposed to debut in 2Q, but now the debut was moved to 4Q. The 3.0 system (the branches, the teams) are in the process of being formed, so there are a lot of internal issues still, everything is getting postponed. The era of LSM ended. It is expected, that a lot of projects and plans that were started in the past won't make it into the new reality (NCT Hollywood, cough, cough).
On the brighter side of things. An SM choreographer posted a picture with him and SungTaro in their support. Taeyong releases an album that is really based on his wishes and vision. SM promised to support Shohei solo activities, so he hasn't been just tossed aside. Doyoung called Chris Lee as "hyung". BoA has a tv programme. aespa girls got their IGs only after 3 years (i.e they are now trusted with socmed). Karina chose the title track "Spicy" (from the roaster of SM unreleased songs she heard in the past). Red Velvet will tour Europe. All in all, the support of the artists seems to be in place. Regardless of the inner turmoils and business decisions, the things gradually become better.

Smoking Tiger Coffee & Bread, 2445 E Imperial Hwy, Unit D, Brea, CA 92821
Tumblr media
Smoking Tiger is a Korean coffee and bakery in a strip mall in Brea. They serve some Korean coffee roasters (but not exclusively Korean coffee). They’re known for their Jeju matcha drinks. I’m not sure if the baked goods are baked on site.
Freshly baked offerings include cookies, scones, croissants, financiers, cream cheese garlic bread, etc. They have so many different kinds of croissants, including milk strawberry, halloumi, and double corn. Items are labeled and prices are clear. Grab a tray and help yourself. They can heat up pastries. For drinks, they have espresso drinks, cold brew, Jeju matcha drinks, tea, and interesting seasonal and signature drinks.
Cappuccino (regular, 12 oz, $4.75): smaller, lots of foam (too much foam), good complex flavor though. There was a choice of espresso which was nice.
Sweet pumpkin mochi ($2.50): looked like a mini pumpkin with rice cake and mashed pumpkin inside, not too sweet, rice cake was chewy. Didn’t love it for some reason. The mochi wasn’t as soft as some other places.
Cream cheese garlic bread ($6): very garlicky, lots of cream cheese in a soft bun, the bun had a sweet glaze that seemed unnecessary. I asked them to heat it and it was barely warm.
The shop is cute and it’s popular with campers. It has a cozy feeling. Coffee beans and coffee accessories for sale. They sell some of their own merch. They sell cold Korean drinks. They have a rewards program.

How to Get a Better Price by Getting Blue Bottle Coffee Coupons?
Table of Contents
1. How to Get Blue Bottle Coffee Promo Codes?
2. What’s Blue Bottle Coffee’s Shipping Policy?
3. What’s Blue Bottle Coffee’s Return Policy?
4. Does Blue Bottle Coffee Have a Physical Store?
5. What Can You Get If You Become Blue Bottle Coffee’s Member?
If you like coffee, you are supposed to visit Blue Bottle Coffee. In the early 2000s, in Oakland, California, Blue Bottle Coffee is born from a coffee lunatic who was weary of the commercial coffee enterprise with stale and overly roasted beans, so he decided to open a roaster for people who were clamoring for the actual taste of fresh coffee. Until now, they have grown to a network of cafes across the U.S., Japan, and Korea, and have more specific knowledge about freshness and peak flavor. Improbably and delightfully, there are hundreds of chain stores now. If you are troubled by the price, here are some tips about getting a better price by using Blue Bottle Coffee coupons.
1. How to Get Blue Bottle Coffee Promo Codes?
In addition to looking for the freshness and peak flavor to meet the customers’ needs for coffee, they also pay great attention to the customers’ purchasing experience. Thus their promo codes are given out on their website and social media aperiodically. If you want to get their promos, you can follow couponawk.com first, there are so many coupons and coupon codes. If you have selected a product on Blue Bottle Coffee website, you need to add the product to the shopping cart, and then you need to search for the corresponding coupon on the couponawk.com website, copy the promo code, and then go back to the product interface you selected, and paste it in the box, and then you can get your preferential price.
2. What’s Blue Bottle Coffee’s Shipping Policy?
Blue Bottle Coffee offers free shipping policy only for webshop orders over $50. When purchasing coffee or merchandise is less than that amount from the webshop, shipping is figured dynamically, based on weight and destination, and is added at checkout. That is not a large amount for buying coffee which is needed in your daily life. If it is still hard for you to collect $50+ orders, why not call your family and friends together? Because there’s strength in numbers. But notably, their coffee subscriptions are only available in some countries.  A few products are only transported within the United States and Canada. Thus before you decide to subscribe to their products, you’re supposed to read their shipping policy carefully.
3. What’s Blue Bottle Coffee’s Return Policy?
At Blue Bottle Coffee, their goal is to provide guests with impeccable service, the best quality goods, and of course, their delicious coffee. They want you to be satisfied with your Blue Bottle experience, so they try their best to make sure their service reflects that. But coffee is perishable and their whole beans are roasted, so they can’t accept the returns of coffee. Thus they sincerely remind you to make sure that your order is what you really want before placing an order. If you are still unsatisfied with your order for some reason, don’t worry—they’re ready to help! Please do not hesitate to contact their customer support team. It’s easy – just email them at [email protected].
4. Does Blue Bottle Coffee Have a Physical Store?
Certainly, Blue Bottle Coffee has its own physical store. As you know, their headquarter is located in California, so there are many stores in southern and northern California, and also around elsewhere in America. It’s worthy to mention that every physical store has its own unique design style which is designed to make their customers feel relaxing and become a welcome oasis in a neighborhood of uniform offices and cookie-cutter landscaping. What is heartening that they have opened branch stores in other countries other than the United States. Especially being convenient for Japanese and Korean people to enjoy the aroma of coffee. It’s prospective that more branches are going to be spread all over the world and more information you can find at bluebottlecoffee.com.
5. What Can You Get If You Become Blue Bottle Coffee’s Member?
If you become a member, you can enjoy their exclusive Blue Bottle Coffee discount codes. In addition, Blue Bottle Coffee is a coffee club rather than a coffee shop. Because when you become their member, you can not only get some coffee tips but also brewing equipment. As we all know, coffee is not just a kind of drink but has more meaning of a kind of living taste in such modern times. Please imagine that you find a place where you can not only buy desirable coffee but can learn the inside knowledge about coffee with other people who have the same taste as you. Is that excited? Why not join them? More information can be got at bluebottlecoffee.com.
As one of the most popular drinks in the world, coffee is becoming more and more indispensable in people’s life. The founder of Blue Bottle Coffee, a slightly disaffected freelance musician and coffee lunatic, used a minuscule six-pound batch roaster, he made a historic vow: “I will only sell coffee less than 48 hours out of the roaster to my guests, so they may enjoy coffee at peak flavor. I will only use the finest, most delicious, and responsibly sourced beans.” Until now, they are always on the road to exploring the aroma of coffee. If you are obsessed with the flavor of coffee as well, Blue Bottle Coffee is definitely becoming your loyal friend. But before you decided to place an order for your morning cup, please don’t forget to get some Blue Bottle Coffee coupons at their website and couponawk.com, because it can help you get your favorite by a better price.

Top 10 Coffee Shops In The USA
Tumblr media
Consider your favorite coffee shop memories: the aromatic aroma of an excellent roast tickling your nose, people talking and laughing in the background over the faint sound of music, the comforting warmth of a mug, and the rich, deep flavor of a perfectly brewed cup.
Each coffee shop, like each coffee, has its flavor — its own experience. We are fans and appreciators of great coffee experiences, and we've compiled a list of places we admire, which we'll begin sharing so you can enjoy. Here are the top 10 coffee shops in the USA.
TRY HARD COFFEE – AUSTIN, TEXAS:
Tumblr media
It's challenging to stand out in a city as serious about coffee as Austin. However, Try Hard makes it seem simple, thanks to some of the nation's best beers (and beats). Along with the standard menu items, seasonal drinks like the "Chai Rider" and the "Campfire Milkshake." Every morning, DJs spin vinyl and play loud music on the front patio to create the ultimate party atmosphere. A mouthwatering menu of tacos and hash bowls is served along with roasted beans.
KUMQUAT – LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA:
Tumblr media
This multi-roaster cafe serves some of the best beans roasted in the United States and worldwide, emphasizing Korean beans. This tiny, white coffee shop in Highland Park is a well-liked pit stop all day, and it is one of the best top 10 coffee shops in the USA every day. Farms from all over the country supply the syrup, and the service is top-notch. Try the espresso, milk, and peanut foam in the Cloudy with a Chance of Peanuts.

Mount hagen instant coffee caffeine content
Tumblr media
Most of our readers don’t know that instant coffee is in the midst of an epic renaissance as instant coffee sales are going up in 2022 as more and more readers begin making their daily joe at home. You can make your fastest-ever cup of joe by replacing your classic coffee with “just add hot water” varieties of instant coffee which are tucked into packets like tea bags and coffee bags or placed in fold-out pour-overs.Īs grocery store owners increase the quality and availability of high-quality wines, speciality coffee roasters are bringing us single-origin blends of instant coffee at the same time. In recent years, Nescafe, Nestle, Starbucks, Folgers, Maxwell House, and Mount Hagen have seriously upgraded their instant coffee to meet the needs of those who can’t travel without coffee mugs, or when the average Jane or average Joe demands more from their cup of Java. It’s the best trade-off: Convenience and affordability in exchange for taste and flavor. Instant coffee is an excellent substitute for coffee pods and ground coffee for those looking for a quick and convenient coffee without a coffee machine or coffee maker. Million views for just their vibes. Granted that it’s eng song playlist. Now lemme find korean version and taeyong’s version.
Taeyong’s fanmade versions sound about the same. All same vibe. Is it cuz chill playlist most popular🤔. Can’t wait for Tae’s solo btwwwww
Link Link2
It could be just the author being good at choosing songs. Fans gave the video some traction, then it was picked-up by the YT algorythm and got into chill relax music roaster.
Wendy is featuring on Tae's album, but no news about Doyoung yet... disheartening.
It looks like it will be really Taeyong's album and not simply a set of songs chosen for him. All the promos are centered around him as an artist and an individual. I wonder if that green acid bunny suit was sewn/tailored for him. It fits too well.

3/3/21 Wednesday
breakfast: 270
The usual early morning applesauce with a breakfast protein bar. I was running late this morning so eating on the go was the way to go.
Tumblr media
Lunch: 505
A lighter alternative to a heavy meal. I took 3 mini tortillas and made them tacos. The filling was roasted chicken, vegan cheese slices, sautéed brussel sprouts, and pickled red onion slices. It was just the thing for a refreshing refuel after my short walk today. It was both a good hot lunch and a refreshing bite.
Tumblr media
Dinner: ~420
Home cooking is hard to track for me calorie wise, so it’s more like a guesstimate, but for me ballpark is okay. We followed a Rachel Ray sheet pan recipe to make the Korean chicken and veggies. I’m not sure how Korean it was (probably not very and I admit to that) but it was chicken and veggies and it was delicious! We used chicken legs thighs and breasts along with bok choi, purple sweet potato, shallots, sweet onions, acorn squash, carrots, and regular mini potatoes for this one pot roaster. It was seasoned with Gochujang, garlic, coconut aminos, and plum vinegar sauce.
Tumblr media
My favorite part was tearing into the chicken thighs like there was no tomorrow. I was hungry and it was good. We don’t really eat like this very often, dad almost ordered a pizza because he didn’t think he’d like it, but when we do we go all out.
Now, that being said, I did snack today. I split a pastry with mom after our walk today and I ate a packet of mini cookies durning my night class tonight.
However, snacking is not a bad thing! I’d like to encourage you to eat when you feel hungry, not just at set meal times.
Today’s calories total comes out to about a generous 1600. Today’s total water intake could have been better, but 96oz isn’t bad for me(again not for this is not everyone, I’m a thirsty babe ~ haha).
I also got in about 8100 steps today, which is a big deal considering how sedentary school has had me lately. My legs are thanking me as we speak by not being as swollen tonight.
I just have to work on getting up and down the stairs (curse you bronchitis and asthma) so I can walk on the treadmill soon. With all of my medical issues I’ve been struggling to be active at all and my eating has been seriously messed up in light of that.
Keeping this blog is a big help with recovery for me because it holds me accountable for putting my money where my mouth is in terms of “I’m going to get better, hopefully to feel less negative effects from my chronic illnesses”.
I hope you guys are enjoying my drama for the day and I’ll keep you posted tomorrow ~ RDS

Alibi Coffee Co., 2268 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles (Harvard Heights), CA 90006
Tumblr media
Alibi Coffee roasts their own sustainably sourced coffee beans on site. The prices are reasonable (lower than average) and they’re friendly. The space is interesting. The shop is located on the scruffier fringes of Koreatown. The owners refurbished the 1922 building themselves using reclaimed materials for a semi-industrial look. The ceiling was left unfinished. Interesting. They have a pool table but it’s currently off-limits due to COVID-19. The roasting machine is there, plus they have books, magazines, and a restroom. Also, important to note, they have outdoor seating and their own parking lot. The parking lot walls are covered in street art.
They didn’t seem to have food other than pastries (muffins, croissants), bagels, and oatmeal cups. Their stuffed bagels are popular. For beverages, they had the usual espresso drinks, drip coffee, pour overs, and bottled juices.
Habanero bagel ($6.99): Reminded me a lot of Korean cream cheese garlic bread and they heat it in the oven till it’s nice and toasty. The bagel was cut so they could put cream cheese in between sections and it seemed to be coated in garlic butter. The habanero made it slightly spicy. The garlic butter seeped into the hot bagel with its crunchy exterior. The bagel they used seemed softer and less chewy/dense than usual. Drool, pretty tasty and garlicky.
Flat white ($3.75): Can’t remember the last time I had a flat white for under $4. It was very strong and I could barely taste the milk which is strange for a flat white.
Pour over: Mr. Froyo/coffee snob really liked his Brazilian pour over, said it was flavorful and almost chocolatey.
It seems like a great place to camp: Free wi-fi, outlets, restroom, parking, music that isn’t annoying. If you like the coffee, you can buy their coffee beans. They just opened a new branch on Melrose. I would have given it a 3.5 but Mr. Froyo’s approval means something to me. He doesn’t like too many coffee places.
4 out of 5 stars

One of my goals for this 2020 is keep up to date with the Mangas/Webtoons I follow.
So, today (Jan 1st, 2020) I cached up with “A Love Contract with the Devil”, which is a Webtoon that I've been following from a long time ago but fan translations were taking a little bit of time to come out, until LINE Webtoon decide to add it to their roaster and rename it as “Devil Number 4” (which caused some people to get mad because preferred the previous name but I don't feel particularly affected bcs the main character/devil is named like that, so???).
Before the official translation, I had to survive seeing the chapters in Naver which of course I didn't understand bcs they're in Korean and of that language I know nada lol.
And since I've catch up with the chapters now... OH MY FRIGGIN' GOD, SO WHAT, SO WHAT THAT HANNA AND LEE WERE TRAGIC-NON-LOVERS IN THE PAST?!
WHAT IF NO. 2 LOOKS LIKE A TRAITOR BUT MAYBE, M A Y B E SHE DISCOVERED THE TRUTH OF THEIR ORIGINS AND IS DOING THIS TO GET GOD'S ATTENTION???!! (this is just my hypothesis, 'kay???).
Hanna's mom is just... a mystery, okay? I won't judge more than that even after knowing that probably is true that she used Hanna as a collateral of a contract, until I don't have more info about it, I won't say anything regards that.
MIKA (THE ANGEL HAS A NAME, FINALLY I KNOW!!) for God's sake, I love him, doesn't matter if looks like a man or a woman, is stunning in both ways and deep down, even when is told angels are cold and bla, bla, bla, he truly cares for Hanna (as long has been shown so far in the official translations). And damn, I love the dynamic he/she have with No. 4 lolololol, it reminded me a lot of the Death and Goblin from the Korean drama Goblin: The Lonely and Great God, such a good thing but I fear their strange camaraderie ends sadly, just as somewhat happened in the drama with the two mentioned above.
And No. 2 what was that you were saying that No. 4 loved you?! HUH?! EXPLAIN YOURSELF!! SUPPOSEDLY DEVILS DON'T FEEL A THING!! MEANS THAT YOU KNEW WHAT FEELINGS WERE AND YOU COULD RECOGNIZE IT?! AAAAAHH!! I NEED ANSWERS!!
And...
With all of Hanna being the past love of Joon-Won and vice versa (and that genderbender!!!) I'm pretty nervous about how everything will unfold, bcs a far as I've seen, due to his memories returning (and I'm wondering who da faq is doing that to him as well), the feelings he already had for Hanna are increasing like a LOT, but Hanna seems like she doesn't feel the same way and I have no idea how Joon may react to that (I'm also sure he will get to know the true identity of everyone due to the circumstances) another thing I belive is that No. 4 got to knew them in the past as well.
I'd like to talk more calmly about everything but I can't, 'kay? All the ideas are just getting me Haru.exe stopped working. But this is mostly everything, in general, lol.
I'm glad to see that there's more content now about this story here in Tumblr and hopefully it will continue to grow as chapters keeps coming out and catching others attention.
By the way, a little bit late but happy new year everyone, hope you all have a bright, blessed, peaceful and joyful 2020~
❤️
