Das voll Brett! - Rock am Stück 2018

Weiblicher Headliner am Freitag: Doro Pesch und Band (Foto: Tim Tronckoe) Das erste zweistellige Jubiläum steht an: 10 Jahre Rock am Stück Fritzlar können gefeiert werden! Dafür stürmen beim Rock am Stück 2018 an drei Tagen 23 regionale, nationale und sogar internationale Rock- und Metal-Bands die Bühne. Das Rahmenprogram bietet zudem Abwechslung mit verschiedenen DJs und Feuerwerk. Headliner ist die deutsche Queen des Metal: Doro! Mitten in Deutschland liegt das vom Fachwerk geprägte Fritzlar. Hier geht es in der friedvollen Naturumgebung die meiste Zeit des Jahres eher beschaulich zu. An einem Wochenende des Sommers wird es allerdings laut in Fritzlar. An der Papiermühle findet seit nunmehr einem Jahrzehnt das Rock am Stück Festival statt. Aus diesem Anlass gibt es beim Rock am Stück 2018 Pyroshows, Höhenfeuerwerk aber vor allem ordentliche Rockmusik - live versteht sich! Preparty im Camp Am Mittwoch, dem 18. Juli, kann mit der Anreise auf den ans Festivalgelände angrenzenden Campingplatz begonnen werden. Für alle, die so früh schon in freudiger Erwartung in ihren Campingstühlen sitzen, gibt es quasi als Vorvorprogramm beim Rock the Camp schon mal Tonloch. Die Jungs aus dem kleinen französischen Dorf Lembach spielten schon 2014 auf dem Rock am Stück. Warm Up Donnerstag startet dann das Warm-Up Programm auf dem Beergarden Areal, bei dem auch die drei Gewinner des GiroYoung Band-Contests auftreten dürfen. Des Weiteren liefern unter anderem die Berliner Cultus Ferox (übrigens Latein für „wilde Lebensart“) mythischen Mittelalter- Rock mit Sackpfeife und Schalmeien. Freitag geht's richtig los Offizieller Festivalbeginn ist dann am Freitag. Als Headliner an diesem Tag steht ein in der globalen Rockmusik seltenes Exemplar erneut auf der Bühne des Rock am Stück. Eine deutsche, international bekannte weibliche Rockgröße: Doro. Von ihren Fans zur Metal-Queen gekrönt, rockt sie nun bereits seit über 30 Jahren die Bühnen der Welt. Wahre Frauenpower. Auch Samstag wird gerockt Am Samstag tritt ein besonders aus den 80ern bekanntes deutsches Aushängeschild des Heavyrocks auf: Accept. Die Solinger Band hat sich seit ihrer Gründungszeit zu Beginn der 70er deutlich in der Besetzung geändert. Seit 2009 spielen sie sich nun mit einem neuen Sänger zu neuen Erfolgen. Neben den Mainacts treten zahlreiche weitere Bands auf, die die Zuhörer zum Moshen animieren wollen.
