hey there, i was wondering if you know the original video of this gif giphy(.)com/gifs/bbcamerica-26BnapQwi3yxnyXbG
Yes, it's from the Orphan Black Dance Party video on BBC America's YouTube channel. In case you live in a country where their content is blocked, here is the full video:
Can I ask what working with Kristian Bruun was like? I've just been seeing a lot of him lately and judging by his performance in TAA and TBS he seems very funny
oh man, Kristian is the BEST. I was a big fan of his work in Orphan Black and then, serendipitously, he ended up in Passenger List! we had a very short session for that podcast, but he was so nice and, of course, very talented, that I knew I wanted to work with him again. and I was SO happy that he said yes to play Oliver!
I will say, casting those central roles for The AM Archives was terrrrrifying, because we had such an established chemistry in our cast. adding new elements to that can be tough! I was in a production of Spring Awakening with Bryce (Mags), so knew how we worked together, I had directed Kristian before, and I knew Helen through friends, but there were so many unknowns! and boy, did we get lucky. everyone - Bryce, Dion, Diana, Helen, Kristian - fit in so seamlessly and really gelled with the existing cast we had.
Kristian is very funny and extremely playful as an actor, which Andrew Nowak is too. that was one of those unknown elements that sprung up and was a total delight--the chemistry with the two of them! there hadn't been any plans to continue Oliver's story in The College Tapes, but after watching him and Andrew together, all of us were like "oh yeah, okay, let's do more of this".

Slash/Back has a bad name I think. I would have liked to have seen a little more of Kristian Bruin. While the stakes never feel super hight this is a great little kids versus monsters/aliens picture with a mostly Alaskan indigenous native cast, some very natural kid performances, and some great shots. I like the script in a Monster Squad kind of way.
They could have had Évelyne Brochu and Kristian Bruun cameo in the Jen/She-Hulk dating montage — and damn! We, the members of the Orphan Black fandom, would have lost our collective shit over the Cophine and Allison/Donny feels.
