Just cause I feel like talking about it, I think if you're someone into Shonen and/or indie comics, I say check out No One Left To Fight!

One way I saw if marketed, and probably one of the best ways to market it, is as "Dragon Ball about a midlife crisis." Or something to that effect. I love the story it tells and the art is great looking in my opinion. Aubrey Sitterson and Fico Ossio are the main minds behind this comic, as writer and artists respectively. I will say that while Sitterson's story is great, this would not be the comic it is without Ossio's art.

Vâle, Timor, Krysta, and all the other characters are great. The love the main three have for each other, whether it a familial love like Vâle and Timor, or romantic like Timor and Krysta is a relatively big point to the story. It's about how these characters know and love each other. Even if someone has a really, really hard time letting go of a decades old rivalry, built from their insecurities being built up by so many heaping praise on the big hero of the world.

It's Dragon Ball inspiration is the probably the one thing that might turn some away, but it's got a some twists and turns that really make this it's own thing.

December 31: State of Grace

I wanted this blog to be the most special because it would be my last blog this year and next year. I decided to be on hiatus next year to rest, to regain my creative juices. Though every artist needs to recharge, I had the most fun doing my 365-day drawing challenge.

Do not worry, though, because I have scheduled surprises once a month to make this blog active! Until then, I hope you guys keep healthy, fun, and optimistic this coming 2023! It's the bunny year (in the Chinese zodiac sign)! I hope 2023 will be as cuddly and adorable as a bunny, haha; my fingers are crossed.

Anyway, I would divide this blog into three sections: announcement, recommendations, and message. I am excited to share my thoughts, so here it goes!

As I mentioned, I will be less active next year on my social media accounts. However, I would still post surprises once a month to keep a few of you who support my blog active. Yay!

Fossils, dinosaurs, cavemen, and whatever knowledge from the past you wanna know, Eons doesn't disappoint, as always. I love their YouTube channel I am glad they now have a podcast. I wish they would continue uploading more content on Spotify. Totally worth your time.

If you followed Nintendo Minutes on YouTube, you would recognize these two amazing people. Do you like Pokemon? Zelda? Or any games? This podcast is totally for you! I love how I also learned some tips about games because of them.

That 70's Show

I just started this series and am now in season four going five. I love this because, as someone who wasn't born this year, I appreciate all the popular things in the 70s. I love the cast and the writing because the tone is similar to Malcolm in the middle. You won't know what's coming next, haha! My favorite character is Kitty Foreman! :D

Wednesday

I love this series. I was iffy to watch this because I thought it would be full of gore, but it wasn't! I also like the casting here. It's close to the comics! I love actor Hunter who played Tyler. He is so hot and talented!

Adventure Time

I know I am 10 years late or something, haha! But I really loved Cartoon Network in the 2010s; they had such good shows. I am glad I watch this series without commercials or a season break. If you like Steven Universe, Regular Show, Adventure Time would be your thing too! It's so good!

Midnights

My first Taylor Swift album. I have previously listened to her album but have yet to be this in-depth. I just turned into a Swiftie now. Almost all my liked songs on Spotify are from her! I love Karma, Hits Different, and You're on your own, Kid.

Red

I am 5 to 6 years late, but this is my favorite album this year. I love almost all the songs here. Taylor Swift, you are talented! My favorite songs are State of grace, Red, and Message in the bottle.

The Loneliest Time

I love Carly so much! This album is such a chill vibe for me. 10 out of 10 for me!

Celestial

Ed Sheeran doesn't disappoint! I was happy when he released a song for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It's so nostalgic same with Post Malone's music for Pokemon.

That's all my recommendations this year that I have listened to and watched many times. I would love to have a book recommendation soon as well!

MESSAGES

I always say this, but I am genuinely happy even though I have few followers on my social media accounts. You guys still make time to respond, like, and share my artwork. I cannot thank you enough for doing this. I often feel emotional every time I get likes passed 10. It is silly, but your 'likes' and 'follows.' Make artists like I inspired and fuel me to do more creative stuff.

Thank you so much for being part of my 2022 adventure. It was not a perfect year, but we had fun learning from our mistakes, challenges, and goals. 2023 would again be our year together.

This blog's title it's inspired by Taylor Swift's song in the Red album, State of Grace. It's one of my favorite songs of hers, especially the lyrics, "This is the golden age of something good and right and real" I wanted to manifest this next year. Let's go, 2023!

okay this isn't quite 500 words but dvd commentary for this snippet 💜💜💜

She held up a hand to silence him, which he obeyed. A sound that was almost like a distant buzzing caught Melanie’s attention, distracting her from her anger at Terry’s ignorant remarks. Then, they heard a faraway whistle before the ground rumbled beneath them. Melanie looked back up at the sky, knowing full well she would not find Santa’s sleigh, but a deadly machine. When she spotted the lights of German planes, she and Terry looked at each other, terrified.

“What do we do?” she whispered.

“Secure the building as best we can,” he said. “Get the patients somewhere safe.”

“Where?!” she gasped.

“We’ll figure it out,” he said. “Come on, we’ve got to hurry!”

They dashed inside as another bomb fell, this one much closer than the last.

Dick wanted to scold Harry for the fire, but it felt too good. It reminded him of Melanie, actually, and the way her body felt against his when they danced. It was hard for him to reconcile that it had been over a month since he’d seen her, and they were together in Paris. Every frigid night, he thought of her in that dress, and it made him feel content enough to fall asleep.

Of course, he regretted letting up on the vigilance once the artillery came down, and Harry took a hit to the leg. Roe was slow to arrive, so Dick decided to ride with him into Bastogne to get Harry to the hospital. To their misfortune, Bastogne was no better off. The town was up in flames as bombs rained down. Buildings crumbled as they passed them. The hospital was a pile of rubble by the time they reached it.

Dick and Roe clamored out of the jeep and jogged up to the ruins. Dick’s heart contorted inside his chest. This was the hospital Melanie was in. Had she gotten out? Was she safe? He looked around desperately for some sign of life, but found none. He turned his attention back to the street, hoping to find her familiar form among the people retreating, but she wasn’t there either. His heart rate quickened.

A man came up running up the stairs, looking frantic. His dark hair was powdered with dust and his white coat was caked in rust colored stains. He first approached Roe, who was holding a blue headscarf. The strange doctor took one look at it and swore loudly before kicking the snow and debris mix blanketed on the ground. His outburst had Dick fearing the worst.

“Melanie Davis,” Dick said to the man, trying to disguise his panic. “There was a nurse here by that name. Was she inside?”

The man had tears in her eyes and it was all he could do to silently nod ‘yes.’

In writing this scene at the hospital, my goal was to create new tension. Both Melanie and Dick admit - not out loud of course - that they are in love with each other while they are in Paris. So, going into the second part of the war, there needed to be a new risk. Naturally, I brought in a romantic competitor in Terry (though let's face it, we all knew he didn't stand a chance with Dick in the picture), and I put Melanie's life on the line (Dick's life being on the line is pretty much a given).

In this moment, Melanie is conflicted because she's being offered something she has always wanted, but from the wrong person. She likes Terry well enough here because he hasn't proven himself to be a terrible person yet, so she feels guilty for rejecting him. But her heart is Dick's completely at this point. To both their frustration, the conversation is interrupted by what they all know they can't forget - the war. And despite any personal issues, both Melanie and Terry are dedicated to their professions, so they forget everything else and do their jobs.

For Dick, this scene was a wake up call. Yes, he knows that he loves Melanie because of how kind and devoted she is to him, but he's always been the one in immediate danger. If anyone was going to lose someone, it was going to be her, right? WRONG, SIR. This is where it hits him just how much he cares about her. Because the future he had barely dared to hope for with her is suddenly snatched away from him, and it's crushing (no pun intended here). I was careful to bring up how much he thought about their time together in Paris in order to juxtapose it with this "oh shit she's dead" moment.

And those very last lines, a moment between Terry and Dick, was also intentional. Obviously, these two are not going to have it out right there. They don't even know who the other is. Terry kinda guesses at it, since this random Airborne officer ran up and asked about Melanie by name, but I didn't feel that their initial meeting - especially in those circumstances - was important to actually write out. Melanie and what might have happened to her (another reason I included the headscarf moment - to imply she met a similar fate to Renee) is the main concern. And as we all know, Dick and Terry have a conversation later on where Dick is fed tf up lmao

Obviously it's also a set up for what's coming later, where Melanie and Dick get sort of off step from each other for the first time. But that's for another time lol

I’m slowly stretching myself back into reverse au and writing Timber again. Minor retcon for the reverse au: Sonic’s dimension wasn’t just conquered, it was destroyed from the inside out. When they went back to check it out, everything was roboticized- there were no signs of life left, not even Robotnik.

Some context: It’s semi-explained in the writing, but Timber moves into Devi’s dimension after they get married because he feels like he can do more there and he trusts the twins to take things back at home. They’re from entirely different universes (and different dimensions within those universes) but can traverse between them via the interdimensional highway. Timber’s universe is based on the M:XYL series where he’s a Shadow/Sally kid who was had a few years before Sonic and Sally got back together, and Devi’s is based on my ‘reverse au’ where Scourge is Sonic Prime and Sonic is anti-Sonic- she’s the daughter of their clone son. Got it? Good. Here we go.

Timber groaned, rolling his shoulders as Sonic settled down at the table across from him. His book was splayed open and forgotten mere inches away.

“Slept funny?”

“No, it’s the natural energy of this world.” Timber held up a hand, a yellow flame flaring from his fingers before it twisted around in midair as if someone had blown at it. The color flickered from yellow, to green, to red, then back to yellow. “My body just has to get used to it. It always happens when I’m here for longer than a day.”

“Oh, huh.” Sonic tilted his head to the side. “That sucks.”

“You got moved here from another dimension. How did you deal with it?”

Sonic shrugged, counting off on his fingers. “Between the starvation, the cold stone floors, the electroshocks, and Scourge generally being as much of an asshole as he could, I barely even noticed.”

Timber flinched. Genius move, Acorn. “Oh. Right.”

Sonic set a hand on Timber’s head, scratching a little between the fluffy ears. “It’s fine, that’s all long in the past. If you want, I’m sure the nurse can help- she’s dealt with Devi long enough that I’m sure she knows how to handle interdimensional jetlag.”

“Right…” Timber’s ear twitched before he pulled away from Sonic a little. “Maybe later- mostly it’s just kind of an uncomfortable tingling, nothing painful.”

“That’s good, that’s good.” Sonic nodded. ”Devi still wrapped up in the wedding plans?”

“She’s probably talking poor Annette’s ear off. I’m to go down and make sure that she actually eats in...” He pulled a pocket watch out of one of the pouches on his overcoat. “Half an hour, but she doesn’t want me to see the actual dress until the wedding, and I’ll oblige her that.” He looked back up at Sonic. “So, how is ‘Grandpa’?”

Sonic grinned. “Being kind of pissy you’re moving in, but I wouldn’t worry about it. You can take care of yourself, and you’re going to be family now- he respects that more than you’d think. He actually likes Krysta- she kind of grew on him.”

“It’s still weird to think we’re going to be in-laws.”

“He’ll live. He still adores Dev, and you’re a nice kid.” 

“He hates me. I’m pretty used to people making snap judgements, but I’d like to think I’ve gotten pretty good at bringing people around to at least tolerate me.” Timber slid one of his inhibitors off, rolling it around underneath his index finger. He’d taken to wearing fingerless gloves instead of nothing at all on his hands, and he could feel the energy within the bracelet shifting from the anarcym in the atmosphere. 

“He doesn’t hate you. If he hated you, you’d be dead.”

“Reassuring,” Timber replied dryly. 

“You know…” Sonic thought for a moment. “I think you remind him of his dad.”

“His dad?” Timber raised an eyebrow. “Grandpa Jules? He’s a nice guy, sure, but-”

“It’s a sore spot. This universe is all switched up from yours, remember?” As if Timber could forget, considering he was moving into an alternate version of the same castle he’d grown up in. “I don’t think he was that great to Scourge since he was obsessed with politics, and trying to make the whole world better meant he left his family behind.”

Timber sucked in a breath through his teeth. “Ah. But that’s not-” 

“You said that was part of why you came here, right? To try and help give us a better idea of what running a monarchy should be like, and helping the people?” He shrugged. “I’m not saying that’s the only thing that you’re here for, since I can tell you and Devi are genuinely tight. Honestly, though, you’re staying for the same reason I did.”

Timber jolted. “I thought you were-”

Sonic raised an eyebrow. “You think Scourge could keep me here for forty-five years without me wanting to stay?” Timber just blinked, and Sonic idly ran his fingers over the leather collar around his neck. “He took the shock collar off when we were twenty. There’s a starpost buried in the basement, and plenty of people didn’t like him when we were younger. I could have gotten out if I’d really wanted when he started giving me some more freedoms, but home was completely destroyed, and shoving aside some random Sonic would have probably caused more problems.” He paused. “Especially considering Scourge is the blueprint for what a Sonic should act like, so all his friends would probably be jerks anyway.” 

“Ouch.” Timber winced. “You-”

Sonic waved a hand, dismissing Timber’s concerns before they could even be voiced. “Yeah, yeah, I’ve gotten used to it. I like Scourge now- he really grows on you. Plus, I started helping to reshape things- having a partner that rules the world means I’ve got a lot of power by influencing him. Over the years he’s learned to listen to me- it cuts down on the coup attempts.”

Timber groaned. “I’m going to have to learn to deal with those too, aren’t I? Once the Dark Presence dissipated, we haven’t had too many problems with people grabbing for the throne.”

“Yeah, it doesn’t happen too often anymore, but we’ve got warning systems in place after the time with the knockout gas. You’re a good fighter, Devi says, so you’ll be fine.”

“Oh Chaos,” Timber muttered before straightening up. He’d slumped over at some point.

“We should try a sparring session at some point. If you can fight me, you can fight off any intruder, trust me.”

“It’s not that.” Timber said. “I know I can defend myself, it’s just- still weird realizing I’m going to be staying here long enough to deal with all of this.”

“Hopefully it’ll be forever, if you and Dev don’t drive each other nuts.” He grinned. “We don’t bite unless you ask.” At that, Sonic set a hand on Timber’s shoulder and squeezed. “Just relax. If you ever need somebody to talk to, I’m here, and Krysta is too. Most of the maids are really nice too. I know Scourge, Remy, and even Devi can be kind of a lot at times, but we love them.”

“Yeah, it’ll be worth it,” Timber said, nodding to himself as he stood up, chair grinding against the stone floor. “I’m off to pry my fiancée off her seamstress. Can you tell the cooks to start something?”

Sonic nodded. “Got it. See you later?”

Timber smiled back. “See you later.”

So, uhhh

I didn’t get to writing the OCtober things. So i gotta write three tomorrow. Oof. 

BUT! Since they’re about Delstran, i figured I should talk about Nat more, so here are some random assorted Natalie facts for you guys. 

-Natalie is a classic Wizard. She wears a lot of black dresses, black clothes, gothic decorations, that sort of thing. her favorite possession is a Gormtroll skull in her room, ontop of a shelf full of old grimoires.

 -Krysta thought she was going to be a witch because of her Wraithblood, but that wasn't the case. The idea of witchery never appealed to her. She's considered herself a wizard from a young age.

 -Natalie doesn't let her dueling prowess get to her head; she's quite humble about it, despite the fact that she definitely has a lot of honors, and her wand is incredibly telling. 

 -About her wand; most wizards have pretty simple wands that don't have a lot going on, as most Wizardry is done with hands and not wands. but her wand is very complex in design; ebony wood (her preferred color), with gold ringlets around the handle, a 'pommel' made of actual Ebony (she prefers a counterweight) and a green leaflike handle, to honor her family crest. 

 -Natalie is the goth one in the family; Krysta, Norah, Evelyn, and Charice are all witches, and have a sort of 'hippie' look to them. Even Marion fills out a more classical tutor wizard style. But Natalie is just straight up goth as hell. Like, pierced ears and everything.

-Like, she's the GOOOOOTH one in her family. Krysta knew what she was getting into marrying Marion, a classical Wizard, but god DAMN did she not expect nat to be as gothic. 

- She wears bright red nail polish bc she likes the color, and she had a red bracelet she wears. Other than that, it's usually all black, including her hair, which conveniently she does not have to dye. 

- It's important to note that, while Norah and Eve are both weirded the hell out by Nat's room, Charice has no problems with it whatsoever. 

 Norah: "Why do you have so many weird poison bottles?" 

Eve: "Ewww, why do you collect skulls and frame dead BUGS?!" 

Charice: "Natalie! I like your weird bottles and your moths are super cool! Can you teach me how to petrify bugs?" 

- Natalie collects poisoner's bottles, just because she thinks they look super cool. She usually just dyes water and puts it in there.

-A bit on her general appearance: She has shoulder length black hair, gray eyes with a slight tinge of red, marks and scars on the right side of her face and body. She often wears black dresses with elbow length sleeves and long skirts that go to her ankles, usually with some sort of trouser underneath; stylish but practical, which is very much her style. 

-While her look and style is very much gothic, she herself is actually less nihilistic than some may assume; she’s a pretty positive person, all things considered. 

-Much like most of her family, she is a staunch, firm leftist, who doesn’t like to see other people getting oppressed. She doesn’t duel nazis, though...just fights them. And tends to win.

Hi lovely 💜💜 okay I am here and I have some questions for WIP Wednesday. 1) what was the hardest part writing the art of forgiveness, emotionally or technically? 2) what's one of your favorite scenes? 3) how did you pick songs for your playlist? And this is not a question but I'M SO EXCITED OH MY GOODNESS WORDS CANNOT SAY HOW HYPE I AM

1) emotionally: putting myself in the position of natalya, or the other students with her! i look up to these men a lot, and i know they were on the right side of history, so writing lieb and the other easy men in the way “the enemy” would see them was really tough for me. i don’t wanna put too many spoilers ahh but it is an enemies to lovers fic, and its so hard to think of good people as the enemy!

technically: i typically write in second person except for my full fics, so jumping in from joe’s pov then natalya’s pov right after confused me so easily oops plus i get incredibly overwhelmed quite fast so there were a lot of times i had to stop writing for a bit. another thing i struggled with was consistency! i typically write for only a character or two, so this was a lot of practice trying to flesh out characters and still keep them the same in the next few chapters (i don’t know if that sentence makes any sense i’m a MESS)

2) without spoilers! my favourite scenes are all the ones with lieb’s friends, and i especially love the chapter when natalya DESPISES him because of a tragedy that happened. not saying anything else 👀

3) ooh the songs are pretty random! i listened to the songs i FELT i would have lyrics that reminded me of this fic, then i added those in, and then spotify gives recommendations for similar ones so i carefully listened to each one. it took me all day yesterday, and the playlist is a mess 😅 but some songs are about natalya & her family, while some are about lieb & his friends, while some are lieb & natalya ITS JUST A JUMBLE REALLY OOPS

WB confirms Takeda Takahashi is himself so that means he is not Hanzo and still missing.

Comments says Takeda might be a time/multiverse traveler as he looks old and his clothes look futuristic & his reason for time traveling is to either warn Liu Kang or stop him from doing something to the new era and this theory is interesting, also that he is the founder of Shirai Ryu on this new era.

Hoping mk1 gives us more back stories of the characters especially the ones who had undergone major changes 🫠

A Theory...

Okay so, I know that generally Telltale/Skybound seems to be setting up Clem being bitten and then depending on your choices Aj may do as he has been told and shoot (or run away from) Clem, or allow himself to be bitten too.

This isn't a new theory. People have been guessing Clem might be killed off from the S4 trailer reveal, as have I (though I don't want to believe it).

HOWEVER, I had a thought. What if...Aj is going to be bitten?

The thought first occured to me when Aj said, "Yes...I'll always protect you." to Clem before she goes into the barn with the walkers.

And I noticed how that seems to keep recurring. In past episodes, Aj has said very similar things to Clem, and clearly has shown how protective he is of her.

And with the whole thing of choosing between showing empathy for walkers or not...it makes me wonder if it is actually leading up to Aj being bitten.

Imagine if he does. Clem has been preparing him his entire life in the case that SHE gets bitten. It never has occured to either of them (or to the audience really- we have all been concerned about Clem for obvious reasons) that Aj might be the one to turn.

So what exactly would Clem do then? It isn't going to be like just any random turning. And it is going to be different from Lee.

Killing Lee (I know not everyone did this, but I did so...I'm going by my version mmkay?) clearly still effects Clem. She still has dreams/hallucinations/whatever about him, talking to him. We all know the impact he had on her. She doesn't do this with any other character. Not Kenny, or Krysta or Omid, not even her mum and dad.

I say this because not since Lee has Clem really allowed herself to so deeply care for another person. She meets folks on the way she likes, sure, but not nearly to the same degree. Lee was her dad. And Aj is her son. Clem more or less said so herself in season 3, even if their interactions are more like siblings.

So back to the main point...if Aj is about to turn...would Clem have it in her once more to kill the dearest person to her? Or would she do what Aj wanted for himself? And allow herself to be bitten so they could live as walkers together?

I'm aware this is probably a silly theory. Telltale/Skybound most likely are leading up to Clem turning. After all there are plenty of signs showing that she is what Lee was to her. But the idea just popped in my mind and I wanted to write it out.

Hello! I’m so sorry to keep this message waiting, I was just getting some more information. As for 2015 Chanhee, I can’t say much. I’m sure it has to do with his answers to a few questions ask.fm or something of the sort but seeing as I personally cannot speak / read Korean, I don’t know much on this topic :( I’m sorry

For the twitter fight:

There was a person who called out a girl named Krysta who is an Eric stan and goes to a lot of fansigns. The person on twitter said the following:

“a twenty one year old asking a seventeen year old questions about what they would do if they were dating them REPEATEDLY and other things like that is creepy? its creepy and weird and that twenty one year old needs to check themself and also realize fanservice is a thing”

And obviously it circled around and got brought to Krysta’s attention. There was a lot of talk and a lot of threads about how she knows it’s fan service, etc. It kinda split apart stan twitter into people who thought she was right and though she was wrong. The entire thread Krysta posted will be posted below for you to read and make you own opinions on.

As for now, this should’ve calmed down but it was pretty messy for a while. There are people claiming she is wrong in doing so and people who don’t think so but as for now, I believe it’s okay and the whole issue has kinda passed. Here’s the response for you to read:

The idea of Rain betraying Mileena again on MK1 and having Tanya working on it too made me think of its possibilities, on MKX they are working together with Tarkatans as their army but failed, resulting on Tanya’s and Mileena’s death while Rain escaped. (The scene where Erron would shoot him is kinda dumb for me as he can turn into water form to escape but they need it for the scene ig)

MK11 intros had these discussions and Rain denies accusations against him so it makes me think if he is just good at lying or he is also used/fooled but is too prideful to admit it. Part of me thinks he is smart to formulate a plan and have the women play their parts on it.

Mileena said the rebellion was his plan, so he has the motive to betray Mileena after she takes the throne but since the plan failed, it never happened but Rain still has his ambitions and Bihan’s words on the trailer about power made me think these two has the same train of thought only that Bihan do it for the Lin Kuei and Rain does it for himself.

I think I still miss some important details even if I watched MKX game story so let me hear some thoughts here, reddit is still on to Tanya’s character redesign and I’m sick of them tbh 🫤
