he's not weak or naive or anything like that - in fact, i think if he wasn't the Family Baby, doomed to be coddled by raph until he's idk 30, mikey might've been one of the stronger fighters. i mean his weapon of choice in this iteration is the infamous kusarifundo; viciously hard to practice without hurting yourself. idk how splinter managed to train him in those 5-minute commercial breaks. the chains are also fire-generating btw. and the fire might be sentient?? who knows. his affinity for mystic power is off the CHARTS. first episode in - first episode!!! - mikey's opening the gate to the hidden city bc yeah, he can do that. his brothers cant. at 15 he rips open a portal out of sheer faith. no one is teaching him this shit btw. he just pulls it off. just child prodigy tingz

he's pure potential, unpolished and untapped, and he gets to be the carefree younger sibling bc his older brothers decided to bear the burden of leading and protecting the clan. everyone knows mikey's special, but no one's rushing him to fulfill his destiny or whatever. he gets to eat pizza and cook fun elaborate meals and goof off like a kid, bc he IS (for now)

meanwhile mikey in the bad future timeline: a literal time god, balding at 30, the only reason why humanity ever gets a second chance in the first place

MORE discarded concepts!

On the 1st anniversary of "Change of Perspective", I asked you guys what you'd like too see as extra content, and you chose discarded concepts. And now on the 2nd anniversary, MORE discarded concepts, mostly from chapter 14 to 20.

So let's get right into it!

1. The Puppeteer phase 2

Most of the concept sketches I released prior to the chapter, had Mikey as the center piece. (Yes it's the same Mikey sketch shhhh)

In the final chapter, he only got controlled Once. But the plan was for it to be much more important than one final horrifying blow. His fear at that moment, of being put against his brothers, would've been 100% thrown back at him at full force.

2. Leo VS Donnie

The resolution to That Whole Ordeal with Leo and Donnie, was going to be sort of like Raph planned in chapter 19.

It was going to be a Physical Fight. The first instance I thought of was during a sparring/training session that Leo, blind and lost in another hurricane of horrible thoughts, pulled Donnie aside, gave him a wooden sword, got another one for himself, and didnt even explain stuff before attacking him.

It was about the sword fighting specifically. Leo was in fear that he was losing his abilities, because of the muscle memory, and that he wasnt as good at it as he usually is. And the evil side of the thoughts were telling him that now Donnie was taking over his role completely in every way.

So he would fight Donnie, both with wooden swords, and Donnie would win, without even putting that much effort (because Leo was honestly too stressed to fight well). And Leo would not give up, would not stop, until he finally whacked Donnie in the hand and disarmed him, winning the fight. And once Leo won, the dam would break, and their talk would happen right there.

It would end well, as well, but it would be much uglier and raw than the final chapter. It would be less about Leo's effort to change being validated, and more about his fear of losing what makes him, him.

I think the reason I changed this approach was, the different tone it would set on the work. I think the final product has a much better message, and a much better resolution, than having the twins go at it in a fist fight, because Donnie's pain would be pushed aside in favor of that action show. Leo's acknowledge that, "hey, that guy wearing my face, the guy I'm cursing and yelling at? That's my brother and I am hurting him", is SO much better than "I am hurt and I'll make everyone know that."

It's not just about him, ya know.

3. Flare and Sparkles

One of these guys is not like the other.

So, Flare is the fireball in Mikey's old weapon that went "I ain't dying yet chump" and hopped into Mikey when the Shredder destroyed their weapon vessel. We got that.

Sparkles... wasn't supposed to exist. There is no demon in the Odachi. It makes no sense.

Y'see, I have another AU, "Sentient Ninpos", that has another Flare that is NOT the kusarifundo fireball. And uuuhhh I kinda mixed both of them. Sparkles was already a thing in the AU, and as I was in the initial stages of creating the AU at the same time I was writing that chapter of Leo meeting Flare, and then Sparkles.

I just mixed both concepts and put Sparkles in CoP by accident.

Awkward, I know, but hey, congrats on CoP Sparkles for being something completely new created by mistake that now I gotta think hard about to make it make sense.

4. Sparkles' name was going to be Sparky

Sparkles' name was going to be Sparky.

5. More of VS Puppeteer

That entire fight went through multiple reworks.

First, Donnie was going to be awake, and as said before, Mikey would be prominently controlled. DONNIE would be the one to "break the sky" and get Leo's ability to teleport for a while (which I'm sure would've worked wonders with what I had planned for Leo's self-worth issues /s). There would be no phase 3, they would've exploded the Puppeteer in a much more dramatic and tense way, and that would be it.

I wrote that phase 2 chapter practically in one sitting, so whatever happened there, it was due to the flow and being on the zone and letting the vibes drive the writing. It went that way, and I said well okay then I'm not rewriting 9k words of nonstop fighting and action scenes, and left it as that.

6. Ending of chapter 20

I had that chapter ready for a week or so. Now, if ya know me, I post stuff as soon as it's done, I dont keep things to wait to post. So that week of waiting I spent constantly poking around chapter 20, and I changed the entire ending of it one day before posting.

Donnie would make no deal to stop talking about personal issues and focus on the artifact. He would've bounced right the fuck out of there and go "I'm not processing that entire emotional show, I'm gonna go out and kick people in the face to avoid thinking about what just happened". And that would've gone as well as it sounds: horribly.

Leo and Mikey would have an extra segment of talk about Sparkles and Flare, Leo going "ok we dont know if my Odachi had a demon, but I can ask Magnus because he has the twin of the sword to make sure that there is really no demon" vine boom sound effect, Mikey goes HUH WHU PARDON ME WHAT and credits roll.

I am once again pushing Magnus reveal further and further away. No regrets, it's great to look at how they all know the same thing but they dont know the others know.

Den-AU! Turtles

Been thinking about Lou Jitsu getting possessed by the turtles and what he would look like both in and out of his Kamen Rider form. Haven’t made any art for it yet, but these are my ideas:

When Leo takes over, Lou’s hair elongates into a ponytail with a single blue streak in the mix. Both the red and yellow stripes also appear on his skin but in a faded way that isn’t completely obvious at a first glance, but the more you look the more obvious it is. As Kamen Rider he takes the role of Sword Form, the weapon obviously being a sword and with blue accents. This and Sai form are his two most used forms, Sword Form becoming his go-to.

Raph is one of the more obvious possessors as Lou bulks up muscle mass when he’s in control. His hair takes a ragged spiky style with a red streak in it, very much like Momo!Ryotaro. He has a snaggletooth just like Raph as well, causing a lisp. He takes Sai Form as Kamen Rider, with spiked pauldrons and couters on his suit. Obviously this form is red.

Donnie is one of the more subtle possessors aside from a fashion change. He smooths back Lou’s floofy pompadour with a headband with a purple tuft in the mix. He also wears glasses when in control. Bo Form as Kamen Rider is obviously purple, his back is bulked up a bit to mimic the battle shell.

Mikey causes Lou’s hair to go curly and floofier than ever, and if you couldn’t guess he has a big ol’ orange curl right in the middle of his bangs. Lou develops freckles when Mikey’s in control, mimicking the turtle’s spots. As Kamen Rider he’s called Chigiriki Form (since technically in the show it looks more like a chigiriki than a kusarifundo) which is orange. The plating of the armor takes a rounder shape when he’s fronting.

Primero y antes que nada se debe de conocer la escritura y pronunciación la cual es muy importante puesto que se puso de moda gracias a un anime llamado Naruto en el cual y como en todo dan una mala información de las cosas al ser caricaturas. Se escribe con N Nin no yi como muchos lo conocen escriben y pronuncian como yuyidsu palabra que no existe inventada por la gente popular y que gusta de hacer cosas por ser diferente y moda lo corecto es ninjutsu y se pronuncia como se escribe por ser una palabra japonesa de ahí se deriva la palabra ninja que asi se le dice al que lo practica pero ninja se pronuncia ninya y esto lo debes saber si te gusta esta arte marcial japonesa ahora va Ninjutsu

El ninjutsu (忍術ninjutsu’), también conocido como shinobi-jutsu, y como ninpō (忍法ninpō’), es el arte marcial japonés del espionaje y la guerrilla.

Este arte marcial, se basa en grupos de técnicas y tácticas (consideradas clásicamente 20, mencionadas más adelante) que han utilizado supuestamente los ninjadurante siglos. Los primeros datos que se tienen de la utilización de ninjas en el campo de batalla data del siglo V, lo que nos da una idea de la antigüedad de este estilo de lucha, que se complementaba con el aprendizaje de muchas habilidades útiles para el espionaje, como la caracterización o falsificación de documentos, así como ciertas prácticas esotéricas derivadas del Mykkyo, sistema espiritual japonés esotérico.

Con la llegada de Oda Nobunaga, los ninja fueron perseguidos en un intento de detener su creciente influencia y poder. Aunque esto provocó que algunos clanes ninja se extendiesen por todo Japón al tener que huir de Iga. Ya en el siglo XVII se utilizaron por última vez de forma masiva en la revuelta cristiana de Kyushu en 1637. A mediados y fines del período Edo, comienza el declive en el uso de los shinobi, dado el largo período de paz establecido por la familia Tokugawa. Entre los siglos XVII y XIX se prohibió legalmente el uso de los mercenarios ninja, lo que hizo que se utilizaran de forma clandestina y a escala pequeña.

En el siglo XX Japón utilizó el ninjutsu como forma de entrenamiento de sus tropas de élite.[cita requerida] No obstante eran tropas regulares dotadas de un entrenamiento especial, sin que se pueda llegar a considerarlos verdaderos ninjas. El último registro real sobre el empleo de los ninja por parte del gobierno japonés data de la segunda guerra mundial (1939-1945).

La internacionalización del Ninjutsu viene de manos del maestro Masaaki Hatsumi, heredero de nueve tradiciones marciales antiguas del Japón (Ryu), entre ellas tres de origen ninja, y seis de origen samurai.

Arte marcial

Las diversas escuelas de Ninjutsu que existen en la actualidad emplean mayoritariamente un keikogi de color negro o azul oscuro. Pese a la creencia popular, el tradicional traje negro con capucha del ninja del folclore es solamente un concepto popular, derivado de las ropas que empleaban los tramoyistas del teatro kabuki, para confundirse con el fondo de color oscuro. La utilidad de ese ropaje para pasar inadvertido se asimiló sincréticamente como parte del atuendo del ninja en el folclore japonés.

Las 20 disciplinas del ninjutsu (ninja no bugei ju happan)

El entrenamiento ninja clásico contempla, al menos a nivel histórico, el aprendizaje de veinte disciplinas.

Taijutsu: Manejo del cuerpo; movimientos, desplazamientos y combate desarmado.Kenjutsu: esgrima de sable, incluyendo la ninjato o shinobigatana.Bojutsu: técnicas de lucha con bastones de diversos tipos o tamaños.Hanbojutsu: arte de combatir con un báculo.Shurikenjutsu: lanzamiento, manipulación y combate con elementos cortapunzantes.Kusarijutsu: manejo de cadenas, solía usarse la Kusarigama, una hoz japonesa con cadena y contrapeso en el extremo o la Kusarifundo, una cadena extremadamente larga.Sôjutsu: manejo de lanzas.Naginatajutsu: uso de la Naginata, especie de alabarda en forma de espada curva con asta muy larga.Bajutsu: equitación, lucha y técnicas a caballo.Kuji Kiri: posiciones esotéricas de manos, las cuales según se decía dotaban al ninja de habilidades sobrehumanas.Suijutsu: nado, lucha, combate y técnicas en el agua.Kayakujutsu: fabricación y empleo de pólvoras y explosivos.Bo Ryaku/Kyojutsu Tenkan Ho: estrategia de engaño intercambiando lo verdadero y lo falso.Cho Ho: espionaje.Shinobi Iri: ocultación y camuflaje (en todo tipo de climas y ambientes exteriores e interiores).Inton Jutsu: infiltración.Henso Jutsu: caracterización, interpretación y disfraces.Ten Mon: meteorología.Chi Mon: geografía.Seishin Teki Kyoyo: desarrollo espiritual.

En cambio, las dieciocho habilidades del bujutsu samurái eran las siguientes:

Taijutsu: Combate sin armas.Kenjutsu o Kendo: Uso de la Katana o sable de bambú (shinai).Iai Nuki y/o Battojutsu: desenvaine y corte con la espada.Kusarijutsu: combate con cadenas, volvemos al ejemplo de la Kusarigama.Bojutsu: combate con bastones.Yarijutsu: combate con LanzaNaginatajutsu: uso de la Naginata, especie de alabarda en forma de espada curva con asta muy larga. Es más bien para las esposas de los samurái, pues no es común que estos la empleen.Kyokuten: combate en ambientes extremos.Suitonjutsu: natación, métodos de ocultación en el agua y uso de agua racionada.Bajutsu: técnicas para montar y combatir a caballo.Hanbojutsu: arte de combatir con un báculo.Yajutsu: técnicas de arquería.Yoroi Kumi-Uchi: combate usando armadura.Hojojutsu: técnicas con cuerdas, podría decirse que son técnicas de atadura.Juttejutsu: combate usando Jutte.Saiminjutsu: ilusiones (ilusionismos y prestidigitación).Shurikenjutsu: técnicas de lanzamiento de Shuriken, no es común para un samurái.Seishin Teki Kyoyo: desarrollo espiritual.

Como se puede ver, las habilidades del ninja son un refinamiento, o si se quiere una especialización de la forma de comprender el arte de la guerra del samurái. Esto nos acerca a una interrelación entre el ninja y el samurái, que lejos de ser similar a la que presenta la cinematografía, apunta quizá hacia una ósmosis, tanto a nivel de conocimiento, como de táctica y estrategia, e incluso de seres humanos. No en vano, famosos samuráifueron a la vez destacados ninja de clanes famosos, y viceversa. Incluso varias escuelas antiguas de tradición nítidamente noble, es decir, samurái, incluían el ninjutsu dentro de su programa, tanto en torno a la técnica como a las citadas táctica y estrategia.[cita requerida]

El Arte Ninja se complementaría con otros conocimientos propios de modernos agentes de campo, como los primeros auxilios, la orientación, conocimientos de alimentación muy particulares, técnicas para andar y desplazarse en silencio o transportando heridos, el empleo de armas ocultas o camufladas (las llamadas Kakushi Buki, y en definitiva todo aquello que fuese útil para su labor).
