contently, kuya is trotting around in his fox form. maintaining a human form with such little essence was tough for the yokai, while it was as natural as breathing in terms of switching between both forms. it seems the debilitating circumstances have affected him more than he assumed. so, proudly, he finds a nice little spot of soft grass and plops down with a huff. a yawn full of sharp teeth and exhausted sigh, kuya tucks his head into the fluff of his tail and begins to snooze.

Nu Karni/Elden Ring Builds?

I'm a fromsoft fanboy, and my autistic ass is insistent that I mash these two interests of mine together. It doesn't help that I made my oc in Elden Ring, to help me figure out what he looks like unmasked. So, I'm just going to ramble on what the clan would be like in the Lands Between instead of Klein. I'll mainly be talking about their abilities, I might do their place in the world later. This is mostly based off their base SR's, with a bit of their actual lore and abilities to give me more to work with.

Eiden: He's been isekai'd into this world, and he's not really a combatant. Lvl 1 wretch, because he's essentially a summon only play through, but he summons his boyfriends instead of spirit ashes. And it's funny.

Aster: Small, seemingly frail but one of the best damage dealers? 80 Int mage. Comet Azur's, all the full moon spells, and magic damage in spades. I do headcannon his "Bloody Moon" special ability to look like Rennala's full moon. He's absolutely the type to get summoned, wearing a cute lightweight outfit and being like: "Oh, master! This Lord of Blood guy looks so scary!" And then annihilates him before he can phase 2.

Morvay: 60 vigor build. Damage doesn't matter when you can face-tank waterfowl. He either uses the Iron Balls with lifesteal fist/endure (And nonstop saying stuff like, "My balls are too much for these guys!") or two handing Moore's Greatshield and just being an absolute wall. He's carried so many of us through brutal fights, so it makes sense he'll be a "Let me tank him" build. Probably with Howl of Shabriri for agro, except he climax moans instead of screaming.

Yakumo: Simple civilian clothes, but 30ish faith and 60 arcane. That's right, the snoy's a dragon communion build. The dragon eyes do look serpentine, and I do imagine his shadow snakes to have similar destructive power. He probably also has Placidusax's ruin (I know it's not a communion spell but let me cook!) and the crucible tail incantation, for flavour.

Edmond: Full Carian Knight. A quality int build, using rapiers (duh) the Carian straight sword, Carian sword spells and probably the Milady too (Look at the moveset for that thing and tell me it wouldn't absolutely serve with Edmond.).

Olivine: The best damn support build you've ever seen. 80 faith for the best healing: heal from afar, protection of the erdtree, blessing of the erdtree. No one's taking anything higher than chip damage on his watch. Throw in some ring of light incantations for damage, and when he's really pissed off, the Light of Miquella to orbital nuke some sinners.

Quincy: Strength faith build. Godfrey icon, Alexander Shard, and Ordovis's greatsword. He's a guard breaker, so why not make him the best stance breaker in the Lands Between?

Kuya: Status caster build. Rot, frost, poison, black flame(which is a good substitute for his fox fire), destined death, bloodflame. If it pisses people off, he uses it. He doesn't strike me as the guy to use melee, but he probably has a black knife for the hell of it. He absolutely knows cheese strats for every boss (he carries a Saint Trina torch for godskins) and definitely tries to incite Eiden to use the taunters tongue. Yeah, he adores pissing off invaders.

Garu/Karu: Beast claws, heavy infused with a little faith for bestial incantations. If Garu's in control, he focuses a little more on his spells and a little health regen to help himself and his master. Karu uses barbaric roar, axe talisman, roar talisman and Roar of Rugalea. He absolutely gives everyone a headache, but how can he conquer humanity without everyone knowing his voice?

Blade: Dex build with Millicent's prosthesis, Rotten wing sword and either backhand blades, dual daggers or raptor talons. Probably uses raptor of the mists, and maybe even has a little regen.

Dante: Fire. If it burns, he's going to destroy it with an inferno people can undeniably attribute to the Sun Lord. He's no slouch when it comes to melee either, probably having a flame art Grossmesser (Elden Ring's scimitar looks too wimpy for Dante) or a Dismounter for heavier opponents. He uses the flashiest of giantsflame spells, with a couple messmerfire spells and ashes of war to balance him out. He doesn't use black flame, as he probably sees it as a coward's choice. All gods burn, no need to use such underhanded methods like statuses.

Rei: Dex Arcane build, with just a little bit of intelligence. He mainly uses the perfume bottle weapons, Thiollier's hidden needle, and a misericorde to finish off enemies. He also has every type of pot and perfume, inflicting eight statuses at once.

Rin: Death sorcery, plain and simple. Blasting non stop skulls and frost. I don't have much for him tbh. He probably uses death's poker and all three deathblight weapons and spells.

Huey: Pretty much Gideon Ofnir but if he could actually fight. He's a max level character with the best spells, best casting speed and best stats. What else could be expected of the Grand Sorcerer?

Idk what armour they'd all wear. Maybe I'll figure it out later. Also, you could probably get close to their faces with character creation (so long as you drop the anime style).

Apparently that's a similarity that they share, the Darkling and Alina. They both had shitty, abusive mothers. And in Ana Kuya's case it's pretty much the same. She was physically abusive and Alina and Mal remember her fondly. And that's the problem. Instead of having the characters admit that she was a horrible mother figure, we have them look back on her punishments as something...worth to be remembered fondly??

Let's dive in her most fucked-up moments.

Talking shit about the children she's assigned to look after. Alina and Mal both heard her but she's still an icon in their eyes! 😍

In my opinion, children need mostly love and understanding. But they also need discipline, yes. But NOT through physical violence. NOT through constant screaming. This is wrong but it's very possible that in Ravka it's accepted and forgiven? Because I also remember reading somewhere that when Nikolai was a child and misbehaved, they were punishing his best friend physically (I haven't read the duology so please correct me if I'm wrong). So even the royal family found it normal.

But having the characters look back to it as something that was okay? And they adored her?

I'm sorry but I didn't shed one tear when she died. Botkin's death affected me more than hers ever did.

I wish I could stream-of-consciousness about being Filipino, but I just don't do stream-of-consciousness blogging.

I wonder which face to use to talk about being Filipino since this isn't Milgram-related. I guess I'll post on main and then reblog it.

(Side note, but I've been thinking of talking about books that I've read lately. Mostly music stuff, but there's this series of murder mystery books called the "Tita Rosie's Kitchen Mysteries". The writing is... fine.)

My favorite dish is sinigang. Other staple dishes are tinola, nilaga, mongo, adobo... My dad's favorite is karekare, but I hate that.

I am 1/8th Ilocano, but that doesn't really count for anything when my great-grandmother was born in Manila.

I can follow casual conversations, but ask me to speak and I won't be able to string my learned vocabulary and grammar together. I usually throw single Tagalog words into English sentences.

Sample phrase: "Tatlong pusa sa mesa." Three cats on the table. Last year, my cousins' cats were really naughty and all got on the table when nobody was looking.

I can sing nursery rhymes. ("Ako ay may lobo, lumipad sa langit...")

My screen name is Philyra K. Illagan. If I could change it today, I'd be "Philomena" instead. But Philyra is one of my oldest characters, so I just made it so her paternal grandmother is Philomena, and Philyra's name is a portmanteau of that and her mother's name, Analira. I don't know how prevalent portmanteaus are in the Philippines, but my fictional world has a whole family tree branch of portmanteaus.

I've had a concept of a story called "The 8th Grade Wars" since I was in 7th grade. It has evolved over the years, but one constant is the focus on the protagonist's Filipino identity. I've flipped my family tree, so she has what I think is an Ilocano surname. (I originally had her know Tagalog and Cebuano, but now that I know I'm a little bit Ilocano, I'll replace Cebuano with Ilocano)

ok so nobody look at me rn bc i'm about to reveal a current interest of mine. anyway.

they're from the game Nu:Carnival which is "a social simulation RPG for mobile devices" w the added caveat that it's in the BL genre!! The characters in my header are Kuya (purple hair) and Eiden (brown hair). The latter is the PC!!

There's two versions of the game, Nu:Carnival and Nu:Carnival Bliss. Bliss is the "SFW" version of the game available on the app store, though it does still have mature themes. The biggest difference between the two is one lets you see cock and balls and the other doesn't lol. I believe you can download Nu:Carnival from the official Nu:Carnival site, either that or Erolabs (or so I've heard.........).

You did NOT ask this, but my faves are Kuya and Edmond <3 with Eiden added on too but he's the PC and I always fall in love w the PC so.... shocker -_- Morvay is also a close fave bc his outfits fuck severely
