⛔ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped?

Hi! Thank you for the ask!

I don't know if I would ever consider anything scrapped for good, but I had an idea for Mac having a half-brother named Sam. I posted a very short intro to Sam for Cairo Week last year, but there was a lot more to the idea and more written for the story. The biggest issue is that it involves Jonah Walsh, and I just can't seem to wrap my brain around his character.

Essentially, Sam shows up looking for James and finds Mac. Before Sam can leave, armed men bust into the house and kidnap Mac and Sam and leave an injured Jack behind. The men are Walsh's lackeys, and they kidnapped Mac and Sam to use them as leverage against James, who Walsh is also holding captive. All of this is so that James will finish the KX7 for Walsh.

Here's a snippet of the unfinished fic :)

The next few minutes were a blur. Sam reached for the door as it flew open, and two masked, armed men rushed inside. A stun gun was pressed to Sam's chest, and he fell to the floor with a cry of pain. Mac charged forward, dodging the man with the stun gun and throwing a punch at the other guy. They were in full Tac gear, so all he did was bruise his hand and give stun gun guy an opportunity to hit him with the charge in the back.

His muscles seized, and he, too, fell to the floor. Sound faded, and all he could hear was the rush of blood in his ears, but he could still see everything. He watched Jack put up a hell of a fight, knocking one of the masked men out, but it was all over when the second one pulled out a tactical knife. Mac's hand twitched as he tried to will his body to get up and help Jack, but he couldn't move.

Jack and the intruder fought, moving out of the entryway and into the kitchen. It looked like Jack would get the upper hand, but then the intruder swept Jack's legs out from under him and then stabbed the knife down into Jack's chest.

Mac wanted to scream, get up, do something, anything, but he couldn't. Jack wasn't moving either, and Mac wasn't sure he was even breathing anymore. The intruder stood, moved back over to Mac, and hit him in the head with the butt of the knife. He instantly lost consciousness.
