But jokes aside: what will happen to EXO now? How many group members would be left in the company (assuming the don't also leave after the first group of members)? Where will the leaving members go?

Also, will this affect other SM groups? I am not the most familiar with them, but I hear SM groups are very interconnected, with NCT and Superm and everything. So will other groups have members leaving?

So there currently Chanyeol, Sehun, Kai, Kyungsoo, Suho and Lay are still contracted with SM. Chen, Baekhyun, and Minseok are still in exo of the moment - they've left the company not the group and so unless there's official word after all the legal stuff that they've left the group - they are still in the group! the contracts will be them individually contracted as SM artists, not as members of EXO so they don't lose that when the contracts gone until SM declare it. Sehun... is unpredicatable so i can't say anything for sure 😭 but he is basically sitting back atm with popcorn watching it go down so i imagine that whatever the outcome he will step up and try something himself hahah the others i truly don't know! Kai fucked off to the military right as the drama's happening so we won't get his news for a while 😭 the contracts are kinda frozen/extended over military enlistment periods i've noticed so he won't be doing anything until it's over. The leaving members are very likely going to go get signed to other labels/ set up their own ! i can imagine they have a plan, and considering they're suing together at once i can imagine they have a plan together! it would be great for us fans to have them sign to the same company but you gotta remember this is their first free decision about their career they've prob ever gotten so they should go with what they want individually and find companies that will suit them and work well with them<3

oki so I think there's a lot that could happen if u compare it to other groups! they could definitely do a got7 where they are in different companies focusing on solo stuff but manage to do a full-member comeback by organising it themselves between all their companies (if only once or twice </3). Or you could look at snsd. snsd came back through SM but 3 (?) of the members aren't under SM anymore - it was just something arranged between all companies involved and i can imagine that the non-SM girls got well compensated 😭 but yeah - something like that could happen if there's some relationship between the members and SM... which doesn't seem particularly likely considering the lawsuits but anyways it's a possibility hahaha!

about other SM groups! it will be affecting poor taeyong trying to promote his solo atm thru all this drama 😭 and as you said about the stock prices - that does inhibit the other groups. However, if they win the lawsuit, one can only hope that would encourage better artist treatment and fairer payout around the whole company!! and if SM don't do it themselves, the other artists would have tonnes of info on how to beat SM in a lawsuit 😭 so we can hope they use it well<3 but yeah - the icky thing about companies is that although they are all artists with similar contracts, the treatment and payout could be extremely different between all the groups :(( and within the same group (read: luhan and tao lol). and good old misogyny when it comes to rv<3 so each SM artist could have a different experience and some could have it much worse than others.

okay so i just read some articles and it's so funny djfgjjdfgj what i'm understanding is.. cbx were like 'yo can u provide us with the info on how we've been paid for 12-13 years' and sm are like 'no. i don't want to.' and sm are CONVINCED that some other evil company leaders have been talking to exo and getting them to sign with them and illegally go against their SM contracts. which very much could be true but it's not illegal to have discussions with other employers jgjdfg and SM are still like 'we have your best interests at heart, not those evil outsiders!'. ... they r so funny fkgkd. also their contracts were literally 12-13 years long... not the usual 7 recommended by the government.... and the contracts they r terminating were written in nov/dec 2022 and were extending them another 5/6 years...and SM's current defence is "no ur lawyer doesn't know the law properly we aren't in the wrong".. so .... unless some miracle is pulled I don't see SM coming out of this well since they're not rly cooperating at all.

but yeah.. i don't see a swarm of artists leaving SM happening, mostly because a lot of them won't have the luxury as EXO have to do that. And especially if they're also stuck in 13 year contracts... which is ridiculous. so yeah :(( but we can hope they get better treament!! and soz to any superm fans if there are any of you 😭 superm is a done thing i'm afraid</3 lucas flopped, baekhyun's suing and then it'd just be taemin in an Nct unit KJFGKFJGK. so yeah no more superm. but nct will prob truck on - they are SM's priority there's no denying it so they'll prob be fine. tho they are tragically suffering with the loss of sungtaro so like... </3 rip to them but infinite Nct flopped to me the second sungtaro left, like no one else matters</3

That Jongdae didn't want to have a child at this young age and in the beginning of his Solo career! But once it happened he was so accepting and so understanding! He married his GF becoz he loved her and accepted her pregnancy with open arms even though that brought him so much hate! This is pretty much just a crack drabble since I am currently attempting to catch up to all of the requests! Thank you for being Patient with me!

Dabi

This gremlin knows what Homestuck is and can’t stand the fact that he understands the references Toga makes to it. Also possibly one of the few who has actually read homestuck on this list, and won’t hesitate to correct Toga or Shigaraki if they fuck up a fact.

He also really is into The Walking Dead. You can’t tell me that Kurogiri doesn’t have a TV set up somewhere in the bar so he and Shigaraki can sit and watch. This does end up with the majority of the league having a once a week get together where Jin gets Pizza, Toga gets several boxes of soda for them, and Shigaraki sets up everything. 

Denki Kaminari

This bitch was into homestuck. Like he wasn’t just into homestuck, he was INTO homestuck. Most likely one of those kids that used to jump on Omegle in a shitty cosplay for those homestuck Omegle cosplay meets the fandom used to do. He also totally has a genderbent Nepeta cosplay, a Dave strider cosplay, and a Jake cosplay SOMEWHERE. Most likely to accidentally wear a homestuck shirt to class.

Never once picked up a Harry Potter book or watched the movie, but you know this kid has a hufflepuff robe in his closet and some hufflepuff merch. He doesn’t know shit about the actual canon since he is just there to vibe

Really into Kpop. BTS, Blackpink, ITZY, EXO, Ikon, BlockB, BigBang minus Seungri cause he is icky, SuperJunior, NCT, WINNER, Got7, Red Velvet, (F)x, and more. Like you can’t tell me this guy doesn’t listen to girl groups and shit like BTS. (His bias has to be J-hope) He also bops with Mina the most. These two also most likely post dance covers of the songs to instagram and TikTok, so they have quite the following. (But their best video was their “Boy In love” cover they did with Kirishima, Deku, Shoto,Jirou, Momo, and Bakugo.)

This kid was also into Five nights at Freddy. He owns all of the games and will still play them with the Bakusquad, but he is pretty quiet about this fandom just because of how BULLIED he was for enjoying it. 

LOVES Danganronpa too. Bakusquad do a weekly game night and they all went through all of the games. Let’s just say Denki cried a LOT at the deaths. Like a lot. (He may have a few cosplays of his own too)

Eijiro Kirishima

Kirishima liked Supernatural just because of how manly Sam and Dean are. Like fuck yeah, he wants a chevy impala too cause it is a beautiful car and wants to know how to protect yourself from shit like demons and angels. He never did much besides watch the show, cry a lot, and try to draw the characters. (Also he had a crush on Dean just cause of how badass and manly he is, but nobody can blame him)

He totally sat and watched Denki play Undertale, so he knows all about it. His favorite character is Undyne and he actually cried when they beat her in Genocide mode cause holy shit dude. That sucked. Oh and Sans. Fuck Sans.

He enjoys Kpop and will listen to it with the Bakusquad. He really admires BTS for how much of an impact they have made not only on his friends, but also the world itself and you can’t tell me that this guy doesn’t think the world of Kim Namjoon. Like he listens to Mono on repeat and is such a big RM fanboy. Also really likes Bigbang (He thinks Daesungs voice is so nice and will sleep to his singing if he could), and Kyungsoo is his favorite in Exo. Cried when Bigbang started coming back from the Military, and cried harder when Kyungsoo had to leave.

Danganronpa is a game he really enjoyed with his friends and will even replay from time to time. He gravitates towards the really manly characters, but some others have spots in his heart. Mondo, Sakura, Gundham, Nekomaru, Kaito, and Gonta were his favorites. Let’s just say the game didn’t treat him well.

Fumikage Tokoyami

He ended up picking up the Harry Potter books and fell in love with the world itself. You can’t tell me this guy doesn't have a limited edition trunk set of the books hidden in plain sight. Like everyone thinks that the trunk holds something like crystals or some bones or knives but nah. It’s just his Harry potter books. Oh and Midnight totally gave him a Ravenclaw scarf around the holidays. You can’t tell me otherwise.

Death note? Death note. Only to episode 25 though. 25 happened and he just hasn’t continued watching cause it isn’t the fucking same.

Hitoshi Shinsou

Shinsou liked Supernatural for a while, but he eventually lost interest. He did his best to also never get involved with much of the fandom since it honestly scared him a bit, but his fear didn’t stop him from posting some theories into discussion boards.

He listens to Kpop a bit since he hangs out with Denki a lot and found out he really enjoys Ikon, BlockB, BTS, 

Bitch was in the Creepypasta Fandom. Like not even the good ones, he was into Jeff the killer and Eyeless jack and all of those ones. Sure, he would listen to the others and read the crappy ones, but he had a phase he is mildly ashamed of now.

This kid loves everything relating to Stephen King. He will have conversations with Aizawa and Hizashi about the books, and they all agree that Kings writing can rather be extremely amazing, or be the equivalent of a 13 year old attempting to write smut for the first time. It’s so damn funny to him

Hizashi Yamada

He has read all of the harry potter books and actually enjoys them quite a bit, but he tries not to let that show too much. He does have a Slytherin lanyard that holds his keys though that Denki had mentioned. It managed to get Mic off track for the class period when he started discussing the books with the students (Mainly Izuku, Tokoyami, and Denki)

He watches The walking dead with Aizawa 

Actually bops to Kpop after the Bakusquad introduces it to him. Massive RM fanboy so he and Kirishima will occasionally go off about how admirable and badass he is. Like RM taught himself english just from watching Friends??? And Hizashi admires that so much. He also loves diving deeper into their lyrics since they normally have such good meanings.

Izuku Midoriya

Oh he loves Harry potter so damn much. He has the books on his shelf, a Gryffindor robe in his closet, a full uniform, and several wands. He is such a nerd so you can’t tell me he doesn’t have a special notebook that has notes on the spells, character analysis, and a variety of different facts.

Really enjoys listening to BTS! He doesn’t know much about other kpop groups, but he really enjoys dancing with Mina and Denki (even if Izuku has 2 left feet and struggles with dancing)

Had a Dragonball phase. Like this kid loVEs Dragonball. It’s actually one of the reasons why he and Katsuki grew to be friends since they both watched the show. They would talk about how they would beat Frieza or the Ginyu squad all of the time.

Katsuki Bakugo

This bastard finds himself actually enjoying Kpop after Mina and Denki go off about their favorite bands, and he really finds himself enjoying BTS, Day6, and SHINee. 

Danganronpa was a game he experienced with his friends and FUCK was it an adventure for him. He got really invested with the story and for a while, the Bakusquad chat was active as hell because of all of the theories he had. He fucking HATED Byakuya, actually shed some tears for Fuyuhikos’ character development and Gundhams death, and was about to throw hands during the 4th chapter of V3. It was a Rollercoaster of emotions, but he loved every moment of it.

This kid had a Dragonball Z phase. No shit he would wake up, watch an episode of Goku screaming, and then go out to play. Honestly this routine started when he was 5 and he will still occasionally watch it. He still loves Dragonball, and he totally has a collection of dragonballs somewhere.

After Shoto and Momo watch Rupauls Drag race in the Common room, He gets hooked. His dad is a fashion designer, so he finds himself really enjoying the fashion aspect of the show as well as the makeup part of it all. He actually does Minas’ makeup occasionally and once people start finding out, he becomes their makeup artist. The girls makeup, and occasionally he will do drag makeup on the guys if they ask. Sometimes the Drag viewing parties start by Bakugo doing everyones makeup and then ordering Pizza.

Mina Ashido

Mina fucking loves to dance and everybody knows that, so it’s no surprise that she manages to nail every damn Kpop she does. She really loves the variety of dances and she can match every vibe. A dance in heels? Shes got it. Hip hop? Oh hell yeah. Cute? Sure! Badass? Shes got this. She is really just a bop.

Danganronpa was an EXPERIENCE for her. She absolutely adored the cases that needed to be solved, cried at the characters, and adored the game. She totally cosplayed Tsumugi with Cospox once or twice with Denki just for giggles sake.

Totally was heads over heels for Ouran Highschool Host club. She thought the anime was so damn precious (She adores Hikaru) and was so sad that there hasn’t been a 2nd season, so she bought all of the manga.

Momo Yaoyorozu

She is a Kpop fan! She totally could be an idol since she can sing pretty well, has the face for it, can dance pretty well! Her favorite thing is rapping though. You can’t say that Momo wouldn’t be able to write some bad bitch raps and pull them off with ease. With her, Mina, Jirou, and Ochaco, they make one HELL of a Girl Group. They love to do covers of Blackpink, Red Velvet, CherryBullet, ITZY, and Mamamoo covers. Her biases have to be Jennie, Irene and Moonbyul.

Tamaki Amajiki

Flipped through homestuck when it started, really never got into it but admired the work people put into their cosplays. Knows basic character names and that buckets should be feared.

He actually used to really like My little Pony! He would NEVER call himself a brony, but he really enjoyed the show. He only watched a couple of seasons, but the show itself was pretty relaxing and managed to calm him down when he was feeling anxious. If anybody ever knew he had a my little pony phase though (And still actually will watch it from time to time) he might just die from embarrassment.

Want to play Legend of Zelda? Well Tamaki is your guy to talk to about it. He might start rambling and will completely forget about his anxiety for a moment before realizing how nerdy he sounds. He has a gamecube in his dorm to play Twilight princess and Ocarina of time, He has a Wii for Skyward sword, and god did this kid lock himself in his room when breath of the wild came out. He can speedrun it like none other (Seriously, if he let’s you watch him, you will be fucking surprised by how amazing he is.)

Gotta throw in Teen Titans. Seeing Beast boy use his power in so many badass ways gave him some pretty cool ideas for his own quirk.

Oh and Rupauls Drag race. Nobody would expect him to be a fan of drag race, but he actually does enjoy watching the goofy drama. If you’re dating, you better expect weekly Drag race with him. It’s pretty funny to watch him enjoy the show. Sometimes he gasps, laughs or bites his lip, eyes hooked to the screen.

Shoto Todoroki

Another motherfucker who could EASILY be an Idol if he wanted to be. He actually really enjoys Kpop after Momo introduced it to him. They both often bop to it together when they study or hang out. He is also most likely to be the one recording the dancing videos or editing them too since he really enjoys helping out the girls. 

Want to watch him nerd out? Watch the classic Godzilla movies with him. Like HOLY SHIT does this man love the 50s-70s Godzilla movies. Bring him a box set and he will rather hug you really tight or run to grab blankets from his room cause this dude ADORES these movies. (Especially the mothra one. Like he will cling to you, thank you over and over again, and watch them with almost childlike glee.)

This bitch bops with Rupauls Drag race. He really enjoys makeup and has debated on trying drag himself (Not that anybody would know that) but it’s kind of shocking to see that he is the one that started the Weekly Rupauls Drag Race viewing in the UA Dorms. 

Yugi Aoyama

His mother used to read Harry Potter to him to help him sleep when he was a child so he naturally knows a lot about it. He knows he is a Slytherin and when Izuku thought about it, it made sense. He is pretty arrogant and wants to impress with his upbringing and french lineage. He also makes it pretty hard to get to know him personally, so Izuku makes a note that he is a Slytherin.

Likes Kpop, but isn’t SUPER into it like Denki or Mina. He likes listening to BTS and Exo and his Biases are Seokjin and Chanyeol.

Probably after all the members return from the army. It could be an alternative and release EXO in subunits instead. But with the way things are being displayed, Baekhyun, Jongdae and Chanyeol will go closely to the army, so it will be harder to release subunits since we have CBX (with only Xiumin back) and SC (with Sehun only). So, SM will invest in solo releases like they’re doing now.

It’s also possible to do comebacks with the remaining members (Xiumin, Kyungsoo, Jongin and Sehun) but it seems unlikely (not mentioning Suho because it will take a while for his return and a possible deadline for a comeback).

So, observing all those scenarios, we will indeed see them as a whole when the members finish military service.

What are your thoughts about SuperM?

SM got into the Avengers trend of putting different members from different franchises (in this scenario groups) together as one. That is so strong to the point they were called the “Avengers of Kpop” an inovative concept in the industry.

What I think is that there’s a lot involved with this project. SM doesn’t want to lose. They have a contract with Capitol Records to help their promotions in US but it was made difficult because of pandemic. So, they’re promoting them in every way they can in Korea to get a more solid fanbase and a positive public opinion.

Their activities this comeback are NO JOKE. A reality show, a TV show, appearances at Knowing Bros, uploads on their YouTube channel, Taemin’s solo, Jongin’s upcoming debut... it’s a busy period, no doubt. Talking about SuperM is not talk about the members because they have no voice in this. They need to show a family image and bond but it’s all about SM have a more closer approach in another markets. With groups like BTS and Blackpink getting their share of success and investment overseas, SM wants different options to consolidate themselves with NCT, maybe their upcoming girl group and, of course, SuperM.

So, what I can say is that SM will make everything they can to make this group stand out and NCT project as their shot for this new Kpop generation. Shinee is a senior group already and they will have comebacks and releases. EXO is still strong but they know they’re closer to the senior status. Which means they need other ways to receive money. And a project like SuperM has also an advantage in terms of not adding people the public doesn’t know and making other contracts. So probably their actual ones have clausures about profit splitting and other matters.

I don’t know how things will be when Baekhyun need to go to the army. Will Taemin become the leader? Will SM add another member with singing abilities? It’s a situation to definitely watch out in the future.

Christmas for Three

Pairing: kyungsoo x fem. reader Summary: The one where Christmas equals a sassy husband, a crooked star on the Christmas tree and a baby on the way

Author’s note: another christmas fluff in the name of ficmas, this was supposed to be posted last week but i’ve been unusually busy and felt the need to rewrite some parts but here it is

A deep sigh leaves your lips as you make a second attempt at straightening the star upon the top of the Christmas tree. In your concentrated state of mind, you miss the sound of slippers shuffling against the floor but are nonetheless alerted by the presence of your husband when his voice sounds off behind you.

”What are you doing?”

Startled, you twist around to face Kyungsoo. He rubs his tired eyes with his right fist and looks around in search for what you conclude is probably his glasses.

”Merry Christmas to you too, Sunshine. The star is crooked so I was trying to fix it before you woke up but it proved to be a lot more difficult than I initially thought,” you explain and leave your place on the stool you had set out for yourself in order to be able to reach the top. ”Your glasses are in the kitchen, by the way. You left them there yesterday while finishing up the last batch of treats.”

Kyungsoo gives a nodding movement of his head and draws you into his chest, your hands gripping the white t-shirt he’s put on to cover up. He never was someone to show off. What a pity. You raise yourself up slightly on your tippy toes and plant a kiss on his full lips. Kyungsoo smiles and leans in for another kiss and you find yourself quite thankful that the awkward faze of caring about bad morning breath has long since passed. The pair of you snuggle into each others embrace for a few seconds before you feel him lean back a little to catch your gaze.

After a few moments of silence, your husband speaks up.

”You know, I had this idea of getting up early to get a head start on the Christmas decorations but you messed it up by waking up before me for the first time in all of our years together.”

Kyungsoo laughs in delight, eyes and nose scrunching together, at the whiny ’yah’ you scold him with.

”Make me breakfast and I’ll consider calling us even,” you tell him sternly.

Kyungsoo rolls his eyes. ”Don’t tell me what to do!” He complains but moves out of your arms and towards the kitchen anyways, complaining under his breath. You can’t really hear what he says but you’re sure they are all attempts at insulting you behind your back.

You know he doesn’t like it when you climb around on high stools nowadays, so you sneak back up on the stool to fix another ornament high up on the tree, as soon as you hear him rattle around among pots. Letting out a sigh of exhaustion, you carefully step down from the stool, knowing that you’re now carrying around precious cargo. You’ve always prided yourself in having quite the stamina but these days, exhaustion comes easier than the mundane tasks such as standing for longer periods of time or stepping on a damn stool. Taking a look around the living room, you decide that the festive decorations look good enough and move into the kitchen.

Kyungsoo is still busy with breakfast preparations so you take a seat on one of the worn down kitchen chairs with a sigh. Through all your years together, watching Kyungsoo in his element while preparing food, whether it be date night dinner worthy of a place at a Michelin star restaurant or something as simple as ramen, has over the years turned into a favorite pastime of yours. You’ve seen how what used to be a hobby on the side turned into him serving as a military chef during enlistment, always his first victim when trying out a new recipe. There’s a calm surrounding him as he, with eyebrows pulled together, focuses on putting together the rather excessive dishes for a simple breakfast. A luxury you happily indulge in. After some minutes of husband watching, the rumbling sound of your stomach asking to be fed makes it into the room and Kyungsoo laughs at the sound, his delighted giggle triggering your own. He turns around to face you, taking in the way your right hand subconsciously, almost habitually, caresses your belly in a gentle manner. There is something to be said about admiring one’s other half, he thinks to himself. An instant comfort and calm taking over, a warm and buzzing feeling under your skin. A warm smile takes place over Kyungsoo’s lips as he takes a step forward so he can place his hands over yours. His smile grows wider by the second, making you look at him in confusion however, it’s contagious and you soon sport an equally broad smile.

”What is it?”

”Just happy,” Kyungsoo shrugs. ”You know, this marks our first Christmas as a family of three.”

A loud laugh sounds through the room and with a fond head shake, you gently move your hands to cup his cheeks. Kyungsoo looks thoroughly confused, making you laugh even more.

”When did you get this soft, Mr. Doh?”

Kyungsoo scoffs and diverts his gaze from yours as you notice a blush spread to his ears and once again, he mumbles under his breath. Saying that he’s not at all soft but rather the opposite. Then with a pat on his round cheek, you leave him to his breakfast duty and leave the kitchen in favor of the comfort of your couch.

Making yourself comfortable on the spacious couch with Meokmul contently taking her usual place in your lap, you take a look around the room. With a satisfied nod, you conclude that you’ve done a pretty damn good job with the decorations this year. Despite the still crooked star sitting atop the Christmas tree.

Carefully carrying a tray filled to the brim with various dishes is how Kyungsoo emerges from the kitchen not a minute later. The man is way too extra when it comes to cooking - some toast would be just fine, but you would never let him know that, enjoying him spoiling you way too much.

”I’m cold, can you cuddle with me?” You ask softly and Kyungsoo shakes his head, flopping down beside you on the couch, crushing one of the decorative pillows in the process.

”No.”

Annoyed at his teasing you scold him, ”then throw me a blanket or I’m breaking up with you.”

”We’re married, dumbass,” he deadpans and expertly dodges the pillow you throw at his head but reaches for the blanket and spreads it over his lap anyways, keeping one side up as an invitation.

”I’m joking!” He defends himself at the dagger you shoot his way through your eyes. ”Now stop complaining and scooch over so we can cuddle.”

J.Seph’s enlistment is a great example of someone who maintains a social media presence and it feels like he hasn’t really gone anywhere, just, somewhere different! Members of The Rose have enlisted and they’re also still active on Instagram; same with Key from SHINee, boy was on Instagram practically every day after clocking out as a soldier 😭 my fellow Libra hoe I love him (I got into SHINee during his enlistment). (Side note, if you wanna know how bad I CRIED listening to ‘Hold On’ for the first time just before J.Seph’s enlistment, well, I was very embarrassed, Jiwoo probably would have laughed at me and I would have said thank you.)

As for why Sungjin is enlisting now despite being a 93 liner— the enlistment period is between 19 and 30 for Korean age, from what I understand. That’s why Suho, born in 91, had to enlist before his birthday in 2020, he would be turning 30 by Korean age standards. Most idols and other entertainment figures like actors will choose to postpone their military enlistment citing previous work engagements (comebacks, concert tours, etc) as their reason why; one of my coworkers is from Korea and he said it’s sort of like postponing jury duty in the United States if you’re summoned while at school out of state or something similar (apologies if that reference makes no sense, I’m American so just trying to use a point of reference I know).

So while most will seek to postpone theirs as much as possible, others will like to get it out of the way— like Kyungsoo/DO, for example, a 93 liner who enlisted in ‘19 and was just recently discharged. His enlistment made US Morning Talk Show News because it was such a shock to fans, since it came almost four years earlier than expected. And Jongdae/Chen is a 92 liner but he enlisted last fall (he also is married and has a baby girl at home so, we were expecting him to go as soon as his wife and baby were healthy enough).

That’s my outsider/foreigner understanding of the enlistment process, as taught to me by a coworker— realistically they can enlist whenever they choose to between those ages, it’s not something their company or contracts can stop them from doing, though for some it benefits them to work with the company for the best timing to do so (such as the SHINee hyungs, they all enlisted one after another in 2018 despite not all of them being at the max age for postponement, and all discharged over the last half of 2020, hence why they are able to make a comeback as a group before Taemin enlists some time in the next year, he’s also a 93).

I’m so sorry it’s taken me forever to respond to this I’ve just been so freaking busy today! I really did appreciate your message, just as much as I appreciate you taking the time to write this one tooo. <3

J.Seph has been an interesting marker of my feelings tbh, cuz I don’t even really remember he’s gone until I see a pic of his and I’m like J.SEPH!!!!!!!!!!!!! But idk the Sungjin thing just hits different. I’m not totally sure why and I can’t completely place my finger on it tbh. I’ve been a casual SHINee fan, so I didn’t really see Key’s shenanagins, and I stan the Rose but only follow Sammy on socials, so I haven’t seen what’s been going on there either. (Which, I saw he’s in LA, not Korea???? It’s such a shame that they had all those label disputes cuz if it wasn’t for that he’d probably be doing lots and lots of solo stuff right now while they’re enlisting, but I’m happy he’s got Woolfy to keep him company)

I am American, so the jury duty postponement thing makes total sense to me. I’m just confused how ‘92 liners are still postponing it when Taemin is a ‘93 liner and is gonna have to enlist sometime this year. I thought you could only push it so far, but Jin, Baekhyun and Shownu don’t seem to be going in anytime soon (KNOCK ON WOOD PLEASE DON’T ENLIST BOYS) Since they can sorta go in whenever they want up until a certain point, I should probably just accept the fact that it’ll never be sure when someone’s gonna enlist and I’ve always just gotta brace for the worst. I’m just not good with surprises like that lol. 

Idk, today’s just not a good day tbh so maybe I’d deal with it better if I wasn’t pissed off lol. But yes, that does help thank you! And OMG I HOPE YOU LIKED THE TAEYONG FIC I HOPE I CAN WRITE MORE SOON!

Sis you barely even know anything of him now. He already started filming his movie in June and finished filming his MV in late May or early June and you knew nothing about it 💁🏻‍♀️ coz if he really wanted to share that with y'all he would have mentioned it in his bubble or at least we would have seen him outside in the set. BUT HE DIDN'T WANT TO 🤷🏻‍♀️ HE doesn't want y'all to know, and don't tell me "coz SM is locking him up in the basement" that's why he can't breath and write you in bubble?? Heck! He even comes sometimes just to tell us about the weather or to drop a song and never mentioned about anything else about his life or his schedule. Normally all the members update about them going into their schedules but without revealing the content of the schedule coz that's the rules, but at least we get a pic or two of them heading to their schedules! To know that they're jobless! Heck Sehun is jobless now but we see him more than we see Ksoo who's extremely busy with a drama a movie and a debut and album preparations and promotion preparation! But Ksoo doesn't want that! If he wanted he would have accepted Variety shows darling. He is busy filming a drama and a movie and making a debut and an album and preparing for promotions. Do you think he is free to be on Variety now? Even if he was asked , he can't now. Maybe later after or during his debut to promote for his album yeah, But definitely not now. Yes he had opportunities and he refused them coz he's busy. And maybe we would see him in the future but he is not into reality shows that much. Now he is focusing on his acting career and singing career relatively. As he is still not built as a solo artist yet to start a new journey for building a variety character and image for himself now. That's the truth. He likes his job but not the fans and sasaengs and aeygo part of it. He said it himself, he even thought of quitting Many times, as he found that he isn't FITTING into this idol world.

There's something u need to know, SM only wants to renew with Ksoo and Chan and Ji and Baek and mainly KSOO and Baek. So he is not sabotaged he is favored in the company. It's just that he doesn't like working with sM anymore! and he is enjoying his acting career and idol life while being locked up in the studio and movie sets without fans mobbing him and following him everywhere. If it wasn't for Hongki we would never know that Ksoo started filming and making his album and blah blah. Yes Ksoo doesn't like talking much to the fans and he isn't the type of idols to share everything about his life and everything he does.. with his fans. As he does his job as a real job and he enjoys it. I sometimes doubt that ksoo is the one writing in bubble 💭 except for the song recommandations maybe. 🤔

I was always told that Ksoo said he wished he was a professional actor and singer but to not be famous! He said he wishes to be known for his talents and to do his job that he loves so much but to not famous at the same time 😂 which is impossible btw. He said he hates fame. He wishes he could do the job he loves so much but without the whole interacting and fame and spotlights part of it. I was told that. Since very long ago and I was sad at first to hear that. But after seeing Kyungsoo enjoying his privacy and not being mobbed and respected by his fans, I was extremely happy. Heck you can rarely hear anything about him or see any pics of him from his fans coz they keep everything to themselves coz I was told that that's what Kyungsoo wants and they keep his life private and never share anything about him- I was so happy to see him do what he likes the way he likes it in complete privacy.

We rarely hear he was out with someone for a meal but when we do, it's years after it happened 😂 or with no pics at all. Like how he met Zico and they were both at the studio maybe collaborating. But we didn't get any pics from his solo stans and Fansites not even Exol. Cuz they know he doesn't like it when things about him get exposed .

Like we rarely saw any pics of him outside not before military nor after. And this been happening for years now since debut (I mean the issue of rarely getting updates and pics about him in the streets or restaurants or hanging out with friends) wdym SM is putting him in the dungeon for once debut?? No! Sorry he was the most promoted member and the first one to start a solo career as an actor ONLY 2 years after his debut when he was still a rookie, he has always been the most promoted among all the members even before Jongdae and Baekhyun ! 🤷🏻‍♀️

To put it up in another way: Ksoo doesn't like working with sM anymore and all the members too as they're all now going to leave and not renew so they mostly accept few of the projects suggested to them to make profit from them and stay active in the lights in the mean time before they decide what to do later. So they will not risk taking big opportunities with big companies or shows and sign big-long term-contracts for a long period with big acting or variety companies coz they can't do much projects now in the name of SM since the contract is nearing its expiration, so as long as they r still labeled as SM ARTISTs and still under SM contract so SM would still take their fair share of the profits, So since their contract is nearing its end..they can't do big projects that require long period of time such as accepting deals for long term positions in a show such as "Official MCs" or "Fixed cast member in a show that would last for years" or to "sign with an acting company coz most of them have the bare minimum for a contract is 3 years i guess (idk i don't remember) or to sign with any company that obliges a long-term contract " etc.. coz SM would still take their profit even after they leave as the contract was signed with those companies when Exo's contract with sm was still on. And that's the last thing they want.. is after leaving your shitty company, they would still take profits from you.

Also most companies don't suggest you big and long term projects when your contract with your company is nearing its end! That's why most if the members now are jobless only getting few short-termed projects, Coz these companies are not only working with the idol BUT they're working with their company as well. As it's the one who decides most of the the idols opportunies and decisions and does everything for them.

So if you don't like the truth and don't like to hear things that don't go along with your fantasies about your Oppa then that's not my problem 🤷🏻‍♀️ Go Fix it .

And I hope you won't drop Ksoo after discovering something about him that you didn't like to admit he has 💁🏻‍♀️ he doesn't like yall to know things about him and he doesn't like interacting with his fans that much through social media. He has a private IG and if he wanted to talk to y'all he would have made a public one but he doesn't 🤷🏻‍♀️ just like Jongdae! And they are free and we should respect their decision! Jongdae Chose his private life over fans and trust me he is so happy with his wife and daughter and i saw them with my own eyes. He is enjoying his privacy and he is caring less about what haters are saying or if fans are disappointed.

You should get used from now on to the feeling that your bias doesn't want your nose always in his life and doesn't always want you to know everything about him and doesn't want to show himself up in programs and projects he doesn't want to do just COZ YOU WANT TO SEE HIM THERE. Also Make it in your heads that your bias private life and his close people are 1000 better than being with you all the time and satisfying your requests and fantasies💁🏻‍♀️

Respect and understand that your idol doesn't always want you to know everything about them and if your Oppa likes to be introvert and private you should respect that ! instead of complaining 25/8 on Bubble and twitter and IG about wanting to see him.

Be like Korean Exol they see Ksoo they meet him all the time they photograph him yet they never share anything or if they do it's after a long time, just coz they respect him and they know how private he is and how he hates his info and pics of him enjoying his day being exposed all over the internet. That's why we rarely get updates about Ksoo from OPs. And even if you beg them to buy his pics and updates they won't give u anything. That's why sasaengs always say they can't get anything about ksoo coz it's very hard as he is a very private person and his info are the hardest and most expensive to get.

Remember in the first half of 2019? When he disappeared for 6 months straight and never updated one word about himself and we were so worried and though he was leaving? He didn't even come out to deny the departure rumors it was SM who did, instead when we were all scares he was leaving and we haven't heard anything of him and were dying of concern, he was enjoying his cooking courses and applying for military and preparing for his position as a chef in military and going on vacation with his friends and squads and lover and chanyeol and you didn't know anything about him, you didn't hear one word from him! (Except for the pics with chanyeol at the airport and just coz chan was there if he wants tI doubt we would have got pics of ksoo at the airport leaving to japan) And he went straight to military after that with no update nor a goodbye Party nor anything! Just a plain letter in which he said he will enlist and after that he disappeared for 3 years (6 months before military and 1 year and a half of military and 7 months after discharge💁🏻‍♀️) Heck He even went and told the member that he will enlist without hesitation coz he is like that and members said they were shocked when he came and said he is enlisting all of a sudden like he just told them he was going to play football or something 🤷🏻‍♀️ He didn't want to make a goodbye party for his enlistment like how XIUMIN did, and why again? for the same goddam reason 🤷🏻‍♀️ don't you ask yourself why we rarely get any news about him 🤔 it's COZ HE DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW. 😂

After his discharge we heard he went along with Park shinhye and his Hyung actors squad to play golf together right after his discharge (in January 25th) , in February but we got no pics 💁🏻‍♀️ Why? Same reason🤷🏻‍♀️ everyone in korea knows Ksoo doesn't like coming out of the closet and expose himself to the public and interact with FANS and haters and obsessed fans and sasaengs.

KSOO WAS TRAUMATIZED BY FANS and SASAENGS AND IF YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DID TO HIM AND WHAT HE SUFFERED YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND HIS LACK OF INTERACTION WITH FANS and you WOULD GIVE HIM EXCUSE. HE CAN'T HELP IT! He tried so hard to get over this issue but couldn't. HE LOVES HIS FANS BUT HE CAN'T INTERACT WITH THEM PROPERLY AND HE APOLOGIZED ABOUT THAT A LOT! So please understand him.

Sometimes it's not always the company sometimes it's the idol himself who wants some SPACE. Maybe A LOT of space 😂 in Ksoo's case.

I'm not making excuses for the sabotage and Mistreatment, I'm showing you the Kyungsoo that you probably don't know.

We can't judge SM mistreatment to him now as he is not active now, but once his album is dropped that's when we would see and we could judge if they treat him well or not. And i hope his album would get all the promotions his talents deserve.

chanyeol didn’t necessarily consider himself as someone who was overly emotional, but there were definitely periods of time where he was more sensitive than usual. he hadn’t realized that he was in one of those states until he and his members were at dinner together, talking about kyungsoo’s military service. his shift in mood was more than obvious, having previously laughing and making jokes and now rendered almost silent. he was in a bit of a daze as he looked down at his phone, looking at his lockscreen which was set to a picture of both he and kyungsoo together. While they had admitted their feelings for one another, they hadn’t been able to deal with them before the other’s enlistment date. it left chanyeol wondering what could happen between them. it filled him with both an overwhelming sadness and a sense of longing. as he left the restaurant and began to make his way back to his apartment, he froze in his tracks. he was slowly crumbling, tears gathering in his eyes. he looked down at his phone before making the brazen decision to allow himself to hail a taxi and instruct the driver to head to the military housing he knew the other was staying at. When the vehicle came to a stop, he quickly paid the fare and hopped out. he headed up to the rather plain looking living quarters and knocked softly on the door, the door opening soon after. the moment he saw the other, he completely broke down crying. “kyungsoo-yah.” he sobbed.

My 8th EXO-L Anniversary

Today marks 8 years since the release of Kai’s teaser on December 21st, 2011 (KST). I’m always a bit off in counting EXO’s anniversary years because I start counting from 2011 instead of 2012, EXO’s official debut. 2011 was when Lee Sooman first announced the concept of what was then SM’s latest boy group - 2 groups that would debut in Korea and China with the same content at the same time. That is the day I like to think I fell for EXO. As a Mandarin speaker and a Kpop enthusiast, I was excited by the prospect of finally being able to understand songs and variety shows without having to read translations. I remember the buzz about Kai’s dance when his teaser first dropped, being mesmerized by Lu/Chen’s vocals in What Is Love, and honestly being a little confused as the what the boys were endlessly searching for in the MV.

EXO is the first group I have followed since their debut. I remember watching a terrible quality phone recording of EXO-M’s debut on April 8th, 2012. In that moment, I never could have predicted all that EXO would experience in the next 8 years, and how much they would mean to me. From their first win in 2013, to the heartbreak of 2014, to performing at the Olympics in 2018, the boys have made it through the lowest of lows to reach the highest of highs. And throughout this, I’ve been watching them as a fan. Following EXO throughout the past 8 years, seeing them experience hardships, pour in hours of practice and effort, and seeing those efforts pay off as they broke records and became exemplars in the Korean music industry and ambassadors for their countries, that is what makes EXO precious to me. I was 14 when EXO debuted. Sehun was 17, Junmyeon was 20, and Xiumin was 22. Now I’m the one who’s 22. EXO was part of my teenage years. I remember fangirling about them during lunch with my friends, writing subtitles in my physics class, and trying to discreetly translate Weibo posts during marching band practice (didn’t go well). I won’t ever have this relationship with any other group.

2019 is the year I never thought would come back then. The year the first member enlisted. It always seemed so far away, but then it happened. I’ve seen the members go from 12 to 9 to 6 active members, and their numbers will surely change again next year. And honestly it’s a little scary. I have faith in the boys and I’ll wait for their return. But a small part of my mind can’t help but wonder, what if. Because unthinkable things have happened to them already. But “what if” thoughts are useless for something I can neither influence nor control. So for now, I try to push those thoughts from my mind and give the boys my wishes for next year. Suho: I hope you enjoy your performances in the first half of next year, both with EXO and as Gwynplaine in The Man Who Laughs. I hope that you’ll be able to worry less next year. And I hope the world gives you fewer things to worry about. You are a strong, capable, and considerate leader, singer, and actor and I have no doubt in your abilities. I wish you a safe and smooth enlistment period and I’m always anticipating your solo album. 

Xiumin: I hope the remainder of your enlistment goes smoothly. I hope you’re enjoying performing as part of the military musical and that you receive more opportunities to do what you love while serving your country. There is less than a year until your return, and we will welcome you back with big smiles and lots of love.

Yixing: I hope your career continues to succeed even more than it already has. You are a talented composer, dancer, performer, musician, everything, and I look forward to what you have in store for the world next year. You are so meticulous in your efforts and steadfast in your practice; it’s been beautiful seeing you grow throughout the years and accomplish your dreams. I hope that you’ll remain healthy and that the year will pass without mishaps. I hope that you’ll have free time to spend with yourself and your family, and that you’ll find a girlfriend. Our little pride, our China sheep, our honeybee, you have given us the world and I hope it can give you everything. 

Baekhyun: I hope that the remainder of SuperM’s world tour passes smoothly and without injury. I hope that you’ll enjoy your time performing with them and visiting new places. I hope that people won’t throw your name around recklessly, but if they do, please know that you are a talented performer and a great leader. Please don’t let anyone make you think otherwise. I hope that you will worry less about pleasing others and put yourself first more. I hope you’ll be able to find time in your busy schedule to rest and do other things you enjoy, and I hope you never ever lose your bright smile.

Chen: I hope that you’ll remain healthy next year and that your vocal condition will be good. I hope you’ll have even more opportunities to showcase your beautiful voice to the world, if you so wish. Thank you for lending your voice to so many beautiful tracks that comfort the world.

Chanyeol: I hope Studio NNG goes well. I hope that you’ll have many opportunities to show your composing, producing, and singing talent to the world. You pour so much passion and drive into what you love, and I truly truly hope it will all pay off. 

Kyungsoo: EXO-L miss you dearly but you seem to be enjoying your time as a chef and we are so happy that you’re happy. I hope that you’re learning lots. Please stay healthy. We’ll see you soon! 1. What takes up too much of your time?

Realistically, work? I work an office job to pay my while I finish my PhD:  it’s a good job and luckily I don’t hate it (not to mention I wouldn’t even be able to do my PhD without it) but it’d be great to have that time to work on my academic projects.

2. What makes your day better?

Food.

3. What’s the best thing to happen to you today?

I didn’t do a lot today, but it was announced Lee Min Ho has been discharged from the military so that made me happy! 

4. What fictional place would you like to go to?

So. Many. Places. But forced to choose right now? Rabanastre from Final Fantasy XII.

5. Are you good at giving advice?

Lots of people ask me for it, but I think that’s because I have a very logical and rational understanding of the world. I’m not great at understanding feelings (or remembering they exist...).

6. Do you have any mental illness?

I do! My family is particularly blessed with mental health issues and I inherited my fair share of them. I’ve learned to accept them as part of me though, and I’m mostly at peace with that now: but always happy to talk honestly and frankly with others about them.  

7. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?

Yes, ain’t that a blast. 

8. What musician inspired you the most?

As a teen, Kurt Cobain (so predictable!) was extremely important to me. I’m also a huge fan of Shakira: her work ethic and creativity has been a massive inspiration for me. Kpop wise, I’m in awe of female idols breaking down boundaries and forging their identities (in particular Sunmi, Hyuna and Hwasa), and of course Taemin in his explorations of gender, identity and style. 

9. Have you ever fallen in love?

Mmm, in my way. My spectrum of emotion is quite different from most peoples, so for a while I wondered if maybe I couldn’t love. Now I’m older and have a better perspective of myself I realise I can and do love, its just different. 

10. What’s your dream date?

This gets asked all the time, and I generally don’t know? Probably something low key that mostly revolved around food.

11. What do others notice about you?

I asked Edie and she said my eyes.  I quote: ‘You have very bright, round eyes. Very expressive.’ 

(What she actually said was my cuteness but I’m a grown woman dammit.)

12. What is an annoying habit you have?

I didn’t ask Edie this but I’m PRETTY sure she would agree it’s my inability to let something drop if it’s wrong or illogical, even if I know it’s supposed to be a joke. I just can’t help it. 

13. Do you still talk to your first love?

No.

SOME.

Spotify helpfully won’t tell me how many songs, but apparently its 12hrs 42 mins.

Guitar. I was in a band as a teenager, but I haven’t played in years.

It’s a close tie between food and Do Kyungsoo. 

18. Where would you like to go before you die?

I’m lucky to have ticked a few places off my list (South Africa, Central Mexico, Moscow) but I’d really like to do a food tour of China, Japan and Korea soon. I’d also love to see St Petersburg, Machu Pichu and Teotihuacan.

I know literally nothing about astrology.

In honesty, I’m not sure. I think it depends on the setting: I seem to either come across sweet or intimidating, with no real in between. But I wouldn’t say I’m especially either.

Probably early twenties.

On my bedside table.

Probably fuck? I have a bad habit of starting sentences with I either ‘Well...’ ‘I mean...’ and ‘I feel like...’

I like the UK, even if we’re in a state of complete political turmoil right now. I’d probably leave England for Wales or Scotland if it weren’t so far from family. I toyed with moving to Spain for a while, too.

I made the posters, promotional materials and edited the photos for our conference next month.

A 5? I got my period and there was a huge thunderstorm earlier, though.

When The World Ends. (EXO Fanfic) Pt.2

Pt.1 , Pt. 3

 "Everyone get some rest." Yoojung said, as her and Kai came to the back of the van with the rest of us. We had just stopped after traveling for another long period of time. Kai sat beside me, and handed me a blanket.

“Everything okay?” He asked, as he situated the blanket so it was covering both of us.

“Yeah... You? Yoojung was getting a little close for comfort up there.” I say, gesturing to little miss thing. 

“We just... Were talking, that’s all.” He shrugs, trying to not make such a big deal about it, when he knew I’d make a scene. I let out a sigh, but let it go. “Try to sleep, okay? I know you didn’t the other night, I can see the bags under your eyes.” He pointed out, jokingly but also completely serious.

I roll my eyes, and knock his hand away from my face, causing him to laugh a bit. Most of everyone had already fallen asleep. Kai was right, I didn’t sleep the other night. Or any night. How could I really? Honestly I was envious of everyone here, because it felt like they weren’t having any trouble, and I was the only one. How could anyone sleep at a time like this? Cramped in a military van that was not meant to hold this many people?

I did want to try to get some sleep tonight though. I could feel the lack of sleep catching up to me. My eyes playing tricks on me, thinking every shadow or noise is an infected.

I adjusted so I was as comfortable as I could be, and laid my head on Kai’s shoulder. He started humming a tune that mom used to hum when she was trying to get us to sleep when we were kids. This worked. My eyes grew heavy almost immediately, and I could no longer hold them open. 

  I was woken up in the middle of the night by banging on the outside of the van, I shot up from my spot, but before I could ask what was going on, I was shushed by Baekhyun. We all sat in silence as we heard the groans of the infected outside, by the sounds of it, there had to be at least a dozen maybe more. They were banging against the car, probably just trying to get by. Even so, the noises and the way they were making the van shake was enough to make me quiver in fear. We waited for what seemed like forever for the noises to stop. We didn’t move. We didn’t speak. When the noises did stop, we sat there like that for another twenty minutes, at least. Suho was the first to move. He quietly cracked open the doors to look out, and when he didn't see anything, he shut them. 

"I think we're okay." He whispered, still a little unsure. 

"Let's wait for at least another hour, just to be completely sure." Yoojung said, letting out a breath. She laid back down with Chen, and rested her head on his chest.

My heart was beating out of my chest. Kai said something to me, to which I just nodded. I assumed he asked if I was okay, because he didn’t say anything else. 

Everyone tried to go back to sleep, but really it was no use. We were wide awake now.

“Okay. I’m not going back to sleep. Let’s get moving.” Kyungsoo says, going to the front to drive.

   A few days passed of the same routine. Driving all day, stopping at night to rest, and repeat. But now, we had finally ran out of gas in the van. It lasted a lot longer than I thought it would, but now the issue was finding gas, which seemed impossible. We looked in every car and the one gas station we saw, but we only found enough gas to last us maybe an hour or two. emphasize on maybe.

"I guess we travel on foot now, until we find another car with gas that is." Yoojung instructed, with a heavy sigh. We all grabbed our things from the van and start walking, abandoning the thing in the middle of the road. 

"Let's come up with a plan real quick as we walk, we can't just go wherever." Kai said, adjusting his bag. 

"We need a place to stay. If we stay out in the open, we may run into another herd like the one from a few nights ago." Yixing pointed out.

"I was looking at the map, there's a neighborhood not too far from here. We can see if there's an empty house or something." Sehun brought up.

"Sounds good to me. Let's head that way then." Yoojung said, letting Sehun get in front of us all, and lead us to this neighborhood he was talking about.

"Do you want some water?" Kai asked me, handing me the almost empty bottle.

"Save it, I can do without it for now." I say, pushing his hand away slightly. It was extremely hot out. It felt like the sun had a vendetta against us, honestly. But judging from what little water we had, I couldn't get greedy, since we might need it more later. I took off the flannel I had on, and tied it around my waist. "Is it socially acceptable to just walk in my underwear? It's so hot." I say, fanning myself with my hands. 

"Yes." 

"No." Chen and Kai said at the same time. I rolled my eyes at Chen and playfully hit him, ignoring the looks both Yoojung and Kai gave him. 

"Here we are." Sehun said, as we approached the neighborhood sign.

"Everyone be extremely careful. We don't know how many of those things are here." Yoojung said, leading the group now. We got to the middle of the neighborhood, and a guy ran out in front of us, making us stop in our tracks.

"Help me!" He yelled at us as he saw us. He limped towards us, and with each step he got closer, we could see the state he was in. Which wasn’t good. Kai grabbed my arm, and pulled me behind him, but before he could get any closer, an infected ran out from where the man just came from, and tackled him to the ground, sinking his teeth into the man. 

“Oh my god." I said, covering my mouth with my hands. Kai tightened his grip on my wrist, and we all ran to a random house away from the guy, closing the door quickly.

"Make sure this place is clear." Yoojung ordered in a stern voice. She ran her fingers through her hair, with the other hand on her hip. She started pacing around like she was deciding what we should do next. Or maybe she was freaking out. I know I was.  

Suho and Baekhyun searched the house, while the rest of us stayed at the front, making sure the things from outside didn't come this way. I went to the window, and looked at the guy on the ground. He was laying motionless, but after a while, he started twitching and soon came back to life as one of them. Yixing pulled me away from the window so I wouldn't have to see it, but it was a little too late.

"It's all clear. The doors and windows in the back are boarded up. Don't go in the third room upstairs, the couple who lived here may or may not have killed themselves." Baekhyun said, trailing his sentence off, as him and Suho walked back to where the rest of us were. 

"We can all just stay down here, in the living room." Yoojung suggested, gesturing around us. 

Everyone drops their things and sets up in the living room, choosing their own corners or couch they wanted. The boys blocked the front door with some furniture before sitting down, and pulling out a few snacks we had to ration out. Everything we did for the rest of the day, was in silence. I think after what we saw today, no one was really in the mood for conversation. The second it became dark outside, everyone went to sleep without a word. 

I was terrified. Today and the herd from the other night, was enough for me never to sleep again. Sleep wasn’t even on my mind at this point.

I sat by the window, looking out of the window, trying to get my mind off it all. It was quiet outside, I hadn’t seen anything since the infected before. I knew it was a bad idea, but I decided to go out and explore, maybe search the other houses to find food. I looked over at everyone who were on the floor sleeping, debating if it was a stupid idea to go out on my own or not. Of course it's a stupid idea, but I can’t sit here any longer. I quietly got out of my seat, and moved the furniture away from the door as quietly as I could without waking anybody up. When the furniture was cleared, I grabbed my knife. I hesitated when I saw Kai's gun, but ended up not taking it since it would be loud if I shot it, and also the fact... I have no idea how to use it. I opened the door, and walked outside, closing the door quietly behind me. I started walking the neighborhood, going into a few houses and taking what I could find. It wasn’t much, but I did find enough food that should last us at least a few more days. I decided I had gotten enough, and started heading back. I was almost there, until an infected jumped out of nowhere, and tackled me to the ground, knoccking my knife out of my hand in the process. I was struggling to push the thing off of me, as it was trying to bite at me, trying it’s hardest to get to me. Finally, I managed to push him off, and rolled to grab my knife as fast as I could, and stabbed it in the head. I didn’t get it in far enough, because the thing kept coming for me. I tried to get my knife out of his head, but that was proven more difficult than I thought it would be, and it was definitely stuck. His frantic swinging arms weren’t helping either. I tripped as I was walking backwards, and fell to the ground again. I looked over for literally anything that could help. Next to my hand was a broken umbrella, with a sharp end. I grabbed that, and with as much force as I could muster, lodged the umbrella into the infected’s head, effectively killing it. I let out a harsh huff, and stared at the thing in disbelif, before letting out a scream, and kicking it off of me.

Breathing heavily, I stood up, and wiped the sweat coming from my forehead. When the adrenaline left me, I felt a stinging on my right forearm. I winced, and looked down, seeing the bite mark. 

"Shit." I said under my breath. My heart raced and I quickly went back to the house, quietly going back inside and re-blocking the door, and went to the bathroom, locking myself in. I looked at the bite again, breathing heavy and started crying uncontrollably, falling to the floor and leaning against the wall. From what I've seen, people turn within a few minutes, an hour at the most. I made sure the bathroom door was locked, and sat back down on the ground, crying until I passed out. 

   Morning rolled around, and surprisingly, I woke up. I felt disoriented and dazed, but still like a human. I looked in the mirror, and still saw me as just that. I looked at my arm, thinking last night was a dream, but the bite was still there. I was confused as to why I didn't turn, and I wondered if maybe I did die, and I’m in hell. Either way, I told myself not to tell anyone about this. Even if I didn't turn, they would still freak out, especially Kai. There was a knock on the door, making me jump.

"Rei? Are you in there?" I heard Kai ask, knocking again.

"Yeah, I'm coming out now." I say, taking my flannel off my waist, and putting it back on properly, before I unlock the door and leave the bathroom.

“Come on, we’re having a meeting in the living room.” He said, gesturing for me to follow him.

We walked to the living room where everyone else was, just as Yoojung started talking about the plan on searching the neighborhood, but I was too worried to listen. Not that I would listen to her anyways, but still. I’m not really sure what was so off putting about her, but I get a bad feeling everytime I so much as look at her.

“Okay, let’s get going. Stick together, and stay close.” She says, opening the door, and leading the way out. 

We all followed, and kept close together. We came up to our first house, and Baekhyun made sure it was clear. He gave us the go ahead to come in, so we did, separating into different rooms. I couldn’t even concentrate on what we were doing, I was so caught up with the fact I should 100% be dead by now, yet I’m alive and never felt better. 

Maybe I’ll get super powers?

"Hey, you okay?" Kai asked, seeing how quiet I was being. Pulling me out of my thoughts.

"I'm fine." I said, walking passed him, leaving the room.

"We should probably stay the night here, it looks like it's about to storm." Baekhyun said, looking out the window. 

There were dark clouds rolling in, and not to soon after, it started pouring. Sehun opened up his water bottle, and sat it out side so the rain would fill it up, and we all did the same.

"Keep looking, maybe the rain will stop once we're done." Yoojung said, continuing her search for supplies. 

"Rough night?" Chen asked me as I searched the kitchen. I looked at him, but didn't say anything. "Your eyes are puffy and red. Just thought I'd ask if you were okay." He said, pretending to look through the kitchen as well.

"I'm okay, Chen. Thanks." I said, closing the drawer I was looking in, and leaning back on the counter.

"If you ever wanna talk," he started, getting close to me. "I'm always here to listen. You know that, right?" He asked, leaning his hand on the counter, to where his fingers were only slightly touching mine, as he inched closer to me, stopping right before my lips. "Even if you don't just wanna talk." He whispered.

"I don’t think your girlfriend would appreciate that." I said, pushing him away a bit, and rolling my eyes. Though I was completely buying into this whole thing.

"We're not dating." He said crossing his arms.

"Yeah, you should probably tell her that." I say, getting close to his face again, before walking to the living room.

Everyone gathered in the living room once they were all finished searching. Once we got a head count, we started walking out of the neighborhood. It had stopped raining, so we decided head out and try to find another car big enough for all of us. Though we had little to no idea where we were going. As we walked, we heard the sound of loud cars.

"Military vans." Suho said, stopping in his tracks. There was nowhere to hide, so we had no choice but to stay where we were as the vans stopped in front of us. Guys in heavy armor and guns stepped out of the car, and came up to us.

"No one say a word." Yoojung whispered. Kai pulled me behind him protectively.

"Everyone line up, don’t say a word." One of the guys said. Yoojung looked at Chen, scared, but we all did as we were told. One of the guys walked over to Sehun first.

"If you haven't been through this process before, we're just checking to see if you're infected or not. If you're not, then you can come with us. There's a base not far from here with food, people, and protection." The guy in front of us said. He looked at the guy in front of Sehun, and nodded his head. The guy pulled out a small device, and pricked Sehun’s finger, making him wince. 

"Clear." He said, going to Chanyeol now. I started to panic, knowing that he wouldn't claim me as ‘clear’. Since I hadn't been through this before, I didn't know what they would do to me, but I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be good. I grabbed the knife out of my belt loop, and when the guy came to me, I stood up, and stabbed him in the throat, grabbing his gun, and shooting at the guy in front, taking off and running into the woods, away from everyone. 

"Rei!!" Kai yelled after me. 

"Stay down!" The military guys yelled at Kai. "Go search for her. Grab the rest." He barked orders to his men.

~~Yoojung’s P.O.V~~ 

   Before any of us could do anything we were scooped up and thrown in the back of the truck and locked in. Baekhyun tried his hardest t get the doors open, but they weren’t budging. I collapsed on the bench in the truck, and ran my hands through my hair, trying to think critically but my mind was buzzing.

"We have to kill them." I say, after a bit of thought. "If we want to get Rei back we have to kill them."

Everyone looked at me in shock, but Kai was the one who nodded.

“Let’s do it then.” He said.

We waited for the men to open the doors again, and knocked them out, taking their guns, and running off before any of the others saw what happened. However, some saw us, and started yelling for us to stop, when we didn’t, they started shooting. Most of the bullets missed, but I heard Chanyeol let out a yelp, and I turned to see him fall to the ground. There was a bullet wound in his chest and head. I looked at his body in shock, when I felt a sting in my arm, being grazed by a bullet. The rest of the boys successfully shot the military without anyone else getting hurt, however. Tears blurred my vision as I looked over at Chanyeol again. Kai and Yixing looked around, but found no other military, but we knew there were still the ones that went to hunt Rei.

"Yoojung, we have to go!" Chen yelled. I heard him but I was frozen. Baekhyun and Chen had to pull me away from the dead body, back to where we were.

"Guys, look at this." Suho said, picking up the tool from earlier. "The last person he scanned was Rei. She's infected." He said, showing us the screen that was glowing red, with large ‘INFECTED’ words written.

We went quiet for a second, not knowing what to do or if we should go after her. Kai bit his lip, and walked away from the group.

"Where are you going?" I asked. 

"To find my sister, because at the moment, she's being hunted down by the fucking military." He said, angrily.

"We have to think rationally about this. She could've turned by the time anyone gets to her. Who knows how long ago she's been bit or scratched or sick." I say, trying to reason with him. "Let's just stay here, and figure it out. And when we get her back, we'll figure out what to do with her." I say.

"I'm not just going to sit here and wait to come up with something. You want a plan? Here's one. You can sit on your ass, while I go find my damn sister." He said, continuing to walk away. Chen got up and followed him, earning looks from everyone.

"What? We're no good here, and I'm not letting those military guys catch her." He said. The guys stood up, gathered their things quickly and followed as well. I rolled my eyes, and let out a sigh. I couldn't stay here alone, but I knew it wasn't right to rush into this. The military was way more prepared and way more experienced than we were and we didn't even know if she was still alive. I walked up ahead of all the boys, and heard something crunch.

"Stop," I whispered, holding my arm out. The laser of a sniper shined on the ground. "Run!" I yelled. The sniper was in one of the windows of the houses. I noticed this, and shot him down quickly. There were two other men, that I recognized as the ones who were sent to find Rei. Kai and Chen snuck up on them, and took them down swiftly. Once we were sure everyone was killed we continued searching for this stupid girl.

"Rei!" Kai yelled out.

"Shh! You might draw in unwanted things." Suho warned him.

"I can't call her telepathically." Kai said, sarcastically.

“I know you're worried for her, and we'll find her." Chen said, putting a hand on Kai's shoulder.

"Yeah." He said, shoving his hand off his shoulder, continuing to walk forward. We walked for a bit longer, until we could hear groans coming our way. 

"Wait." Suho said. We could see a herd not too far away from us, and started to run in the opposite direction. As we ran, Kai ran into someone, making them both fall to the ground.

~~Rei’s P.O.V~~

I was running away from the military, but that turned into running away from a herd very quickly. As I ran, I hit something pretty hard, and fell to the ground.

“Oh my god." Kai said, getting up quickly, and helping me up. 

"We have to go." Yoojung said, before we could be happy for finding each other. We ran until we came upon a cabin, well hidden within the woods. 

"So, you want to tell us how you got infected?" Yoojung asked me as soon as the cabin door closed. I looked at everyone, lost for words, and then at the ground.

"Last night... I snuck out to get fresh air, and on the way back..." I said, lifting my sleeve up so they could all see the bite.

"And you didn't tell us?" Kai said, hurt, confused, and scared.

"Last night my ass. You would've turned by now if you got bit last night." Yoojung said, crossing her arms.

"Yoojung." Chen whispered, and put a hand on her arm to calm her down.

"Don't Yoojung me. She's going to get us all killed. Chanyeol just died because she couldn't stay in a damn house!" She yelled, angrily. I felt a pang in my heart, when I noticed Chanyeol wasn’t here.

"Let's all just calm down, we can’t start fighting." Suho said.

"I didn't turn, so that has to mean something, right?" I ask, looking around at everyone.

"Like you're immune or something?" Yixing brought up.

"No one’s immune." Yoojung said, shaking her head.

"I think we just found someone who is." Chen says, amazed. 

"Fuck all of you! Are we just going to ignore the fact that she got Chanyeol killed?" Yoojung swung her arm in a gesturing way and winced slightly.

"Yoo, are you okay?" Chen rushed over to her and put his hand on her shoulder, but she just shrugged him off.

"I got grazed with a bullet on the way out of the truck." She said, uncomfortably.

"It’s an apocalypse, death is normal. We all are going to have to make sacrifices." Yixing said, gettig back on topic.

"Well then why didn't we leave her!?" She screamed, gesturing to me. "Death happens," She said mockingly, scoffing a bit. She got some bandages out of her bag, and started tending to her arm. "Fuck off. That's bull shit and you know it. Do you even care that we lost him?" She asks, looking up at everyone with a glare. "You guys left him so quickly, for what? To look for a girl we barely know, who could've been dead? She just causes trouble for everyone." She said, struggling a bit with the bandages.

“Let me-” Chen started to help her, but she moves away.

“Don’t touch me!” She yells.

"Everyone stop yelling. There's a herd coming this way, we can't risk them hearing us." Suho said, stepping in. 

“Someone died. All because of her.” Yoojung says, more calm, walking away from everyone. 

There was a loud clap of thunder, and heavy rain once again, trapping us in this small house.

"Just great." Kyungsoo sighed.

I stood up, and went into a room, not wanting to be around anyone. Kai started to go after me, but Baekhyun put a hand on his shoulder to stop him. "Let her be alone for a bit. We should all get some rest." He said, looking around at everyone.
