ok but you gotta admit that modern savannah has such an aesthetic with the spanish moss. what are your top three choices for a super haunted place for the plantation?

none of them exist when black sails takes places alfkdjldkfja; except charleston but flint blasted it off the map and it’s not old enough to be haunted. but i will say that savannah is famous for ghosts that died under terrible circumstances like murder, or civil war ghosts. But every place in the south has its own civil war ghosts so :/

Andre lives in NJ (or NY, can't remember) and he commutes a lot for B99 filming so when he's not filming, he tends to spend time with his family rather than go to panels and stuff. And I think he's a little shy, that might be a factor!

In an article a while back, Stephen Lynch stated that Rachel wears Stila nail polish in Sash. I've just found a great substitute! It's Essie nail polish in Pearly White. I haven't been able to find anything closer to the Stila one.

you might think it's bad but it's 10k more than what you started with and there will be at least SOME salvageable pieces in there!! treat nano as something to motivate you to sit down and write more than you ever have before. it doesn't matter if it's not perfect!

thanks for the motivational words!! <3 i’m definitely trying to be easy on myself, i’m obviously going to be super rusty since i lost nano last year and have barely written in the time since then. and tbh even if at the end of the month every word i’ve written is terrible, i already feel like i’m doing some good character development, so if i have to rewrite everything from scratch at least i’ll have more realistic characters to work with lol

Which OCs would be most likely to watch Critical Role? Which OCs would be most likely to actually play D&D?

newt for both counts! and he would be desperately trying to get his friends into both of these things, but he would be met with very limited success because most of them would take one look at the episode lengths and refuse to watch it, and they’d feel too silly to really want to try to play the game themselves (especially with each other). fraser tries to humor newt a lot of the time, and jules does really good voices for different characters when she reads to the kids she nannies, so they’d be potentially good at it, but they’d both be too self-conscious to actually get into it without a lot of begging or bargaining involved.

Hey there! I'm trying to find Susan's sparkly evening gown from 5x06 (the dinner scene) and I was wondering if you guys had any leads. Do you have any tips on how to get started trying to find an item? Typing "sequin evening gown long sleeves" hasn't been getting me anywhere lmao

I hadn’t looked for it yet actually! Most of what gets requested/gets the most notes are the Leda clones, Delphine, and Felix, so those are the characters I look for first. I’ll see if i can find anything though! 

As far as trying to find items, that’s basically what it is most of the time - describing stuff and googling it. Sometimes you can read buttons/labels/etc on really HQ pics, sometimes you stumble upon stuff (going through brand tags on poshmark looking for one thing and seeing something else by the same brand and going oh hey? Didn’t Cosima wear something like that?). Sometimes characters have a favorite brand and they wear a lot of stuff from one store (Alison with J Crew, Sarah with Diesel, Cosima with Free People, etc....) so those are good places to start. People send in IDs/find stuff on other sites (shopyourtv kept up with OB for like... 3 seasons), some people have asked the costume designer, etc. 

Usually I’ll type a description into Poshmark, lyst, or shopstyle and see what comes up, or browsing Nordstrom or Bloomingdales, (sometimes just google or ebay if everything else fails) but that usually works better for trying to find day-to-day stuff and not really formal wear.

semi-related fact: fletcher would do that kind of thing too, in a sense, in order to keep up appearances. he’s be more like “well, i can’t have you representing me while dressed like that/driving that/looking like that/using a phone like that!!!” and absolutely throw money at his underlings so that they’d look the part of someone good enough to associate with. so that’s a huge part of why fraser doesn’t look like a broke hot mess all the time: fletcher is like “you can’t bodyguard for me if you don’t have a nice suit. come on, let’s get you to a tailor.” 

though in his case, it’s all about making sure that he doesn’t look bad by association, rather than being genuinely generous!

The character I hate: dear ol’ dad hargreeves, OF COURSE. fuck that guy. (i love colm feore DEARLY as an actor, so my feelings about this are a testament to how good he was at being awful)

The character I would call if I was in trouble: ...lmao i would not call any of these disasters if i needed help. or. well. i’d call pogo. that’s right, i’d call the chimp for help before any of the kids.

The character I would trust to plan my birthday party: i would only trust grace/the robot mom, because she’s literally programmed to be nurturing and a caretaker, so she could actually plan something like that successfully.
