Yes the clans are somewhat the same but the lore *has* shifted to better suit mdzs canon.#For one: Cross clan apprentice training is an option. Gusu school arc is still a school arc.#wwx would have a blast pouncing on lwj's Too Long Tail He Has Yet To Grow Into.#(Its very important to me that lwj/bluepaw has those kittenish big ears).#I will probably circle back to drawing teenxian apprentice antics after I get through the cast.#I had to put myself into a cat drawing boot camp for this AU (despite my sona being a cat I...actually don't really know how to draw one).#and I feel like I learned a lot + need a lot more practice...however this *is* the practice! Wouldn't want it any other way tbh.#And with that...Horse week has come to a close#Not the end of this AU mind you; I'll still throw some doodles in here & there and reblog any fanart#The concept behind this was to make something with the vibes of that one picture with the guys holding girls up on their shoulders#so the girls can kiss. And the guys are kissing too. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about.#Maybe one day I'll draw the unswapped version. Pure Gold#I also really need to emphasis that the ponies *do talk* in this AU. They are a co-existing civilized species#LWJ (horse) is just a quiet guy. And Little Apple hasn't been around a lot of horses#so she thinks her talking donkey roommate who suddenly switched personalities is an exception not the norm#little apple is constantly violating politeness norms by only addressing the pony’s accompanying human and not them#LWJ has achieved that alicorn immortality in this AU so yeah#this human girl was absolutely named after the horse. Possibly *by* horse lan wangji#sometimes a horse girl raises a horse and sometimes a horse raises a horsegirl#thank you once again to tumblr user clintbeefwoods for suggesting Lan Wunian as another name! It’s very well suited for her!#and i can tag the lan wangjis’ separately now <3
