Drew some sleepy sheepies for @abalisk. Been a long time since I drew anything digitally.

@writer-and-artist27, happy birthday! Waaaay late, but I wanted to draw something cute. Sometimes, partying requires a little encouragement, but the celebration is always better with friends.

[description: a flat color digital drawing of a water genasi boy with light green skin and white hair, lounging on a bench with a neutral look on his face. the second image is a zoomed-in shot of his face and shows the braids in his hair, the amulet around his neck, and the mint-green marks on his face. end description]
Decided to make the whites of his eyes dark to fit the aesthetic better, as well as changing the tone of his skin from orc-green to a lighter and more blueish tone, and I changed up the orientation of the fins on his ears to fit the designs of marids in 5e. Oceanus also has slightly nerfed version of a marid’s teeth, with one fang showing here.
The braids are a result of being taken in by Alena’s family, and the painted nails specifically happened because of her and her younger sister. The clothes in general are more like something Khalil would dig out of his closet, if in duller tones. The pants are short, the sleeves are split, and the sandals exist because Oceanus has fins on all four limbs and his head, all of which don’t fit super well into more restrictive wardrobe choices.
Despite his very skinny build and lack of armor, I slapped the symbol of Kord (the D&D deity) on the amulet, because this edition of Oceanus is a Tempest Cleric. He’s actually got a capped Constitution and Wisdom score, and his Charisma is a whopping 7.
(I also swapped acid resistance out for cold resistance because frankly I don’t care for the former and being resistant to freezing to death suits him better.)

Hey, a Tiki!Morgan without the signature tactician’s coat. I’ve been working on this for like six hours and I am done with this. No shading at all because I’m exhausted and my hands hurt.
[image description: A colored digital drawing of Morgan from Fire Emblem Awakening, with the green hair specific to her mother being Tiki. She has discarded her tactician’s coat and is wielding a lavender-colored tome alongside a steel sword. end description.]

Sometimes, when you need to occupy your brain and ears to avoid the latest pointless holiday debate, you end up drawing.
So I wondered what it’d look like if I actually drew my version of Aversa in the Three Houses art style. Need to dig more into the depths of what my drawing program is capable of.
Tumblr media
I used Judith’s talking portrait as a model, but there you go.
(The hardest part was her damn tattoos. And the most annoying part is how tumblr stretched the image.)

[description: a green-haired girl with very long boots, an art style deliberately ripped off of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and a purple-accented bolero. end description.]
I took a second stab at designing a Tiki!Morgan variant for that Fire Emblem: Three Houses crossover I keep getting brainjacked by, though this time I used Leonie’s artbook image for a reference. The fact that the school uniforms are way more complicated than those in My Hero Academia made this even more difficult. I’m super unfamiliar with the style there and my hand totally cramped up about three times. I also borrowed elements from Morgan’s Fire Emblem Heroes incarnation, like the bolero variant of the tactician coat and the wacky boots with the weird not-knee-padding.
Now that I actually think of it, a half-manakete Morgan would start aging fairly slowly around the age that the students at Garreg Mach tend to be (anywhere between 15 and 22), which means a design riff on Leonie (19) would be pretty accurate depending on what happened over in Ylisse prior to the crossover kick-off event. And for reasons that basically relate to art style limitations in Awakening, Morgan canonically doesn’t inherit nonhuman ears (taguel or manakete) from a nonhuman parent. So, I guess the Nabateans would get to be confused.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ow, my hand.
EDIT: Due to color choices and coincidence, this Morgan looks like she’s related to Ignatz. That’ll be fun.

I keep messing with Morgan’s dragon design and here is some head detail, after yet another huge revision.
The head is more dinosaur-y now, and so is the feather ruff. Or maybe it’s bearded vulture influence again. You can actually see the various lines I’ve erased as different iterations come and go.

Made some more scribbles of dragon!Morgan. I’ll figure out how to keep proportions consistent sometime in the next forty years.
[image description: a pair of sketches (pencil on paper) of feathered dragons with twisting horns and bare heads. it’s a take on Morgan from Fire Emblem Awakening’s dragon form, because I thought the ones in-game were boring. end description]

Another feather dragon Morgan.
As a baby, she was 99% fluff. I’m also starting to think that the series of fics is gonna be called “Dragonblood,” while the stories under that umbrella will have specific names.

I drew a tiny Morgan in a thoroughly chibified 3H uniform and a tiny dragon!Morgan. When she was small, she was a very feathery poof-creature when transformed.

[description: an image of a giant feathery dragon with two massive wings, many display feathers, owl-like feet, and raptor claws jutting from feathered forelimbs. end description]
I drew a potential version of manakete!Morgan’s dragon form, based half on Grima and half on...well, Fa, from Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals. Fa’s dragon form is shaped like an feathery egg and Grima is an armored dragon with six limbs that basically all amount to feathery wings stapled onto a lizard the size of a mountain.
I cannot be the only person who, upon realizing that Tiki’s dragon form was a recolored Nowi and was disappointed. Nah being that way made sense, but Tiki didn’t. Earlier Fire Emblem games had a lot more variation in the dragon designs, even if some of them were...meh. And that’s one of several limitations that basically amount to a lack of space.
I suppose it could also be the Heroes version of Tiki, but that manakete design wasn’t used as well as I would’ve hoped. (Also, I prefer quadrupedal dragon designs.)
So I went Three Houses and basically made something up. I have no doubt Sothis’s dragon form looked nothing like the Immaculate One or the Immovable or the Wind Caller back in the day when she still used one, since none of them look like each other despite being siblings. More design mode shenanigans for me!
Morgan’s breath weapon is a mix of fire and dark magic, and her teeth are derived from Grima’s horrible crocodile mouth. Unlike Grima, her skull-plate is actually a part of her head and not a mask hiding a nightmarish human-like face. Does have six actual eyes, though.
Morgan’s midair tactics include twisting back along her own length, lashing out with her claws, beating airborne rivals to the ground by attacking their wings, and setting bits of landscape on fire. As a descendant of a divine dragon, gravity tends to look the other way during aerial maneuvers. She also, unfortunately for her father’s stress levels, has a habit of transforming back into her human form in midair to change altitude rapidly. That she transforms again before she risks crashing is the only reason Robin survived her childhood.
(Tiki took notes, then helped scold her halfheartedly.)
Proportion-wise, Morgan’s only about the size of a Fódlan wyvern, since she’s still pretty young and Nah is depicted as about that big in Awakening. As the only other half-manakete running around, she’s a useful comparison.
Yes, that means Morgan could only really carry two passengers and I’m sure that won’t be plot-relevant ever.
Personal skill: Solidarity. Critical rate/evade +10 to adjacent allies. Morgan’s strengths: Sword/Reason/Flying. Morgan’s weaknesses: Heavy Armor. Budding Talent: Authority. Growth %: 95(HP)/58(Str)/43(Mag)/58(Dex)/60(Spd)/63(Lck)/46(Def)/43(Res)
(Morgan’s growth rates here are based on her canonical growth rates in the Manakete class, if Tiki’s her mother and her dad’s asset is Speed and his flaw is HP. There are only a few classes that use armor in Awakening, and a dodge-tank Robin is unlikely to spend much time as anything related to the Knight class, hence the issue with Heavy Armor. Meanwhile, Tiki’s reclass options are Mage and Wyvern Rider, but she starts with E in all relevant weapon ranks and I figured Morgan would mostly take after her dad and aunt.)
(Funnily enough, Robin’s weakness being HP puts him pretty firmly in line with Three Houses characters like Lysithea, who’ve been screwed with via dark magic. He also canonically has white hair, so...)
