i tend to draw inspiration frm many different places n things ! tumblr of course, pinterest, my favorite films n mv's, dolls, books n magazines ! ᢉ𓈒. .𓈒ྀིˆ১

a big source of inspo for me for yrs has been larme !! their shoots are always so dreamy ꒰ᐡ｡•༝∩ ᐡ꒱♡ n i love the way the outfits are coordinated. so i find myself flipping through it or looking at scans quite often !

i've also rlly admired yurano ochi's style [ esp frm 2014 to abt 2019 ! ] amo has been a big inspiration to me as well !

I love larme kei. It goes well beyond girly kei. The magazine has doll looks, mermaid looks, forever 21 looks, sporty looks, ballerina looks, leopard print looks, London looks, airport looks, fetish looks, birthday looks, new years looks, grunge looks, 60s looks and so much more! And this is all pulled straight from old magazine scans too. Those were their words not mine. I'm a fan of the magazine, not a member of the girly community. When I wear all pastels with ocean motifs I'm not wearing sweet girly. When I wear all black with heart motifs I'm not wearing dark girly. I'm basing my style off the looks in the magazine and making it my own with my own unique spin. I'm not bothered in the slightest that larme kei doesn't exist in Japan, I adore the magazine and actively choose to base my style around it.

Hi! No worries 🫶🫶 I’m glad we can talk. I’ll have to kindly disagree with that, I think that jirai has become its own thing at this point. For example:

This is a clip from cbr.grl, where she’s interviewing Nuta, who’s a fashion influencer. I think it’s important that, no one here forced her mention jirai kei and ryousangata, she just did on her own. Possibly because those are the terms for the respective fashions. 

Not saying that Girly isn’t a thing, just that it’s not the same as Jirai and, that the term Jirai Kei is used amongst people that know about fashion.

This part is mostly directed at the first link you sent, the doc (nothing against you fr). A while back, I’d decided to reverse image research the drawings they had used as examples. I find it kind of weird that they decided to edit an artist’s drawing to make their point. When the original one was for a sock collection, and mentioned no specific styles in the text

Back with a lil piece I conjured up a while back. I thought jirai fashion would really suit Doppo’s whole atmosphere, and with Hifumi being a host, it was too good of an opportunity. Had a lot of fun trying out this pose and playing with the background
