i was reading prompts for @/1dsoulmatefest and...

soulmates and dystopian and time travel(?) au. lots of angst.

they get separated and try to find each other again. little do they know they have landed in parallel universes. they try to think like the other one and follow the other's steps in hope to find each other. they basically take the same road in the same time but in parallel universes. one thing that percolates both universes are their traces. little smily x faces that Louis always leaves next to the door, to let their friends know they are okay. Coded messages in the kitchen Harry writes to let them know where they are heading.

it takes them some time to figure out that something is wrong. Harry watches smily face appear right in front of his eyes. Louis finds message in the kitchen in the morning when he's sure it wasn't there the night before.

"you here. how can you be here?"

"how will i get you back?"

1D Christmas Fest 2023 Sign-Up and Prompts

Welcome back! This is now the 5th(!!!) year of the 1D Christmas Fest, and I'm delighted it's back for another year. As before, I hope to have a fic a day from December 1st all the way up to the big day itself, so fingers crossed lots of you will want to sign up and join in.

Sign Ups: Sign ups were opened at October 28th at 12pm BST. There are only a couple of rules to follow:

You must be over 18 at the time of sign up

Your fic must include at least one member of One Direction in your main pairing

Your fic must have a festive theme!

Fics are due on December but we can offer some flexibility in that once the schedule starts to fill up. Publication dates will be assigned in order of fics received into the collection.

So I came across this comment under a video of what can you tell us now that you've quit x job.

And now I have imagined this as a fic prompt...

"Harry works for tinder pretending to be an attractive female user to get nearly expired male users' attention, and subtly convince them to renew their subscriptions and once they renew he ghosts them. Everything's been going smoothly until he starts messaging a new guy named louis. Harry ends up falling for louis and doesn't want to ghost him nor does he want to convince louis to renew and start talking to other people. How will this pan out? Will Harry tell louis he's actually a man? Will louis be mad Harry for lying to him about who he is? Will Harry decide to quit his job out of guilt?"
