Hi Gina! I saw some people talking about the AFHF in Italy and the insistent promo caused by not selling as well as the past years, which, I obviously don't know the numbers but knowing the context I think it's quite clear, plus I'm also sad I won't be able to attend lol
Here are some facts:
It's "Ferragosto" in Italy, a big big national holiday that happens on August 15th, therefore many italian fans will either be on vacation or about to leave (aka me lol), or will already have spent €€ for the 15th itself ...
That place in August is so expensive, the most expensive it will be during the whole year (prices in Italy in August are no joke, it's high season 🫠)
Therefore transportation is also more expensive, especially plane tickets
Getting there is not as easy as getting to idk Milan, Rome, Bologna... or even some other cities on the coast
As I said before it's vacation time, and people book way in andvace, for example when I was a child my family used to book around March or even sooner, so announcing it so late means that it's harder for people to find accommodation
All this to say...who thought about it?! Even a week later it would have been way better and it just breaks my heart that so many people, especially italians (since it's a one time event) will not be able to attend because of bad planning on the team's end...as usual
I don’t know that there’s more promo for this year than for the last two, but that’s really unfortunate. And seems like incredibly poor planning on someone’s part. I hope it ends up not making any difference in how much fun people have.

Update 7/30/22
Hello, everyone!
I just have some general news stuff to share:
I am unlaunching my Patreon page in August, since I cannot keep up with it and would rather focus solely on writing/interacting on here instead. The last update to the Dashingdon version of the game is going to be available for two weeks starting tomorrow: from Sunday, July 31st to Sunday, August 14th. I am shutting my Patreon down on August 14th, so if you wanted to play the final update, make sure you do it before then! I don’t plan on making that demo public any time soon, if ever, as I am rewriting the game as I go and things may change.
That being said, the other posts on there will be made public in their own ways. Things such as the Q&As and the stories will be posted here on Tumblr. I also have a little holiday story that I may post here in the coming months that was made for Mother’s Day featuring the Seer/Sybil and Eli/Warren story branches. Then the lore posts will be added to the Twine version as codex entries.
Speaking of the Twine version: we’re on track for a release date of August 15th. I will be posting the link here, of course, and I’m looking forward to sharing it all with you! I have new characterizations, settings, and plot to share with you all...
As always, thank you for the support! You guys mean the world to me, and I am so excited to take the next step with you all and move to Itchio. ❤

Lotus Night's Date & The Episode Airing
The episode "The Foz Who Saved Lotus Night" aired on July 15th in Canada and August 4th in the US. While many people were quick to point out that it was a weird time for the episode, they had one excuse that made it so the episode made sense to air whenever they wanted.
While Lotus Night is clearly inspired by Christmas and New Year's Eve, they are not the same holidays. For example, while I could be wrong (looking at Christmas traditions all over the world would be hard) I don't know of any place on Earth where people give presents and decorate a tree as well as watch fireworks at midnight. Also, and this is just a nitpick, everyone seemed to be decorating their trees and cleaning on Lotus Night, where most people would do that the day before. This suggests that Lotus Night is slightly different than any holidays on Earth. Because of this, just because Christmas and New Year's Eve are winter holidays, it doesn't mean that Lotus Night is.
Also, seasons may be different in Gemina than the US and Canada. Not only do places on Earth celebrate Christmas in Summer, due to how seasons work on Earth, but Gemina's seasons may not match any place on Earth. All we know about Gemina's seasons was that it the series ended in the summer (Piper remarked how it was summer in episode 39, and not alot of time passed between the last two episodes, given the events). And while this doesn't mean that Lotus Night is a summer holiday in Gemina, it is possible that takes place in summer to. After all, it was only 5 episodes before the time it was confirmed to be summer, and some of the episodes would have happened quickly. For example, I highly doubt they waited long after Proxima was freed from the mask to tell Gawayne about it. So, unless the Mysticons are huge prostrastinators, I think it's safe to say that both episodes could have happened in Summer. So, Lotus Night could fall on any season.
In short, by using a fictional holiday, they could make a holiday episode whenever they wanted.

JULY SCHEDULE
Tumblr media
Summer is here! I’ve been pretty busy recently, but I’ve so far managed to prepare 2 stories for @usernoneexistent’s summer challenge, featuring Dante Lopez working on a new cocktail, and Ophelia Burke up to her usual schemes. I’m hoping that I might be able to get at least one more done (because FOMO), but we shall see… I have ideas for the others, so hopefully I can write them over the summer even if I can’t get them in the right time frame for the challenge.
Whilst I’m concentrating on the challenge, the Saga will be on a publishing break. The rest of the chapters are going to be pretty difficult, I’m pushing Artemis to some dark places, and I need a breather before I get into that! Depending how the challenge week goes, I will be back either Friday 8th or 15th.
Writing-wise, I am now working on Chapter 9 of the currently untitled 7th instalment of the Saga, which means I’m nearly halfway through the first draft (it’s looking like it’ll be 20-21 chapters in total). I’m hoping to get another 4-5 chapters done over the next month. I also have the first drafts of all of the second Legacy arc written, they just need editing to be ready to publish. Maybe later in July, maybe in August. Again, we will see!
I will be somewhat MIA during the last week of July, because I’m going on holiday ☀️👒👙 (hah! I’m going to be in a hut in the woods with no WiFi, and this being Britain, it’ll probably be raining the whole time. Wish me luck!)
Hope everybody has a wonderful month!

Take better photos next time. Oops I'm sorry that's impossible because of that ugly fat person in the pictures.
my favorite holiday in china is the ghost festival 中元节. its a traditional holiday that dates before the founding of the people's republic of china that occurs on the 15th night of the 7th lunar month, which means that, this year, ghost festival 中元节 falls on 30 august.
the story goes like this: on the day of the ghost festival 中元节, the borders between the realms of the dead and the realm of the living open, allowing ghosts through. daoists and buddhists perform specific rituals to try to absolve the suffering of the dead and regular people showed their lasting filial piety toward their deceased ancestors who visit them during this time.
to show their filial piety, people prepare food offerings, burn incense, joss paper, and other fine items for the spirits. meals on this day are often elaborate and an empty chair is placed at the table for each of the deceased members of the family. there are a lot more very interesting traditions performed on this day, such as the lighting of lotus-shaped lanterns set afloat on rivers to lead the dead to the afterlife.
although somewhat similar, the ghost festival 中元节 is different from tomb sweeping day 清明节 and double nineth festival 重阳节. one thing i find fascinating about this festival is that it survived the cultural revolution, where such things as ancestor worship were redefined as barbaric or otherwise unsightly for a modern culture such as china.
*this holiday is also observed in many other asian countries, but traditions probably differ between them.

RISING INDIE-FOLK SINGER HANS WILLIAMS STRUMS AWAY ON NEW SINGLE “THE TREK”
Tumblr media
Continuing to carve his path and create buzz, Indie-Folk singer songwriter, Hans Williams, releases his stripped back single, “The Trek.”
Co-written alongside singer and good friend Lyla George, who also appears on the backing vocals, “The Trek” serves as a reminder to check in on those who mean the most. “This song is for all the friends from home you see twice a year over the holidays. It’s for every mile between you and your family. It’s a reminder to call and call often without a reason to,” shares Hans.
Accompanying the new track, the Vermont-raised, New Orleans-based independent artist also announces his debut EP More Than One Way Home, out everywhere on March 6th.
Following the arrival of the EP, he will be hitting the road for his debut headline 26-date North American ‘More Than One Way Home’ tour. Kicking off on March 15th, the tour starts in New Orleans – where Hans currently lives – before making its way across North America, stopping in major cities like Los Angeles, New York and Nashville, as well as his home state of Vermont. With 25 dates in total, the ‘More Than One Way Home’ tour will culminate on May 4th in New Orleans at Jazz Fest. See below for full routing and get tickets HERE.
The new single arrives on the heels of “Skin,” an imposter syndrome anthem that delves into the relatable feelings of self-doubt and hypercriticism. His most introspective song to date, it has quickly zoomed to over 500K streams, getting support from the likes of Ones to Watch and Sheesh, as well as landing spots on editorial playlists including Fresh Folk and Juniper.
The singer-songwriter was also announced as a performer at Hinterland Festival in Iowa on August 3rd where he will be sharing a stage alongside the likes of Noah Kahan, Hozier, Lizzy McAlpine and Vampire Weekend.
With over 65 million streams under his belt, Hans Williams has been showcasing his talents for the last few years, finding success with singles such as “All Is Well,” “Checklist” and “Willows.” Completely independent, the singer-songwriter has landed coveted spots on editorial playlists such as New Music Friday, Folk Pop and Mountain Air, while garnering attention from Billboard, Ones to Watch, Sheesh and more.

Friday 14 August 1998 - Saturday 15 August 1998 - The Mariä Himmelfahrt ride to Paris - Banlieu loop around Neuilly / La Défense - lovely pizza at Tony's along Rue Faubourg (Ledru Rollin) in the 11th district
Hi everyone
I hope you have enjoyed the photos and videos of my journeys this past week.
For those driving to work, how was the commute through school zones? Today it was at least a 15 minute ordeal to go just a quarter mile past a middle school, which should have taken no more than three or four minutes. School is open for some districts, so please pay attention to the school zones and slow down as necessary. And avoid the ones that take too long to get through.
I still have remaining stories up to 18th August 1998, last one will appear this Sunday the 19th.
Here's a rundown for 14th and 15th August 1998.
Friday 14 August 1998
- final day of work, work up to lunch time with regular job duties
- filling out paperwork of end-of-project
- leave work at 2:30 PM, shopping at Neuperlach Zentrum
- speaking to roommates to end my lease as I am going home soon
- packing up large bags to take to München Hbf to store for the night
- have dinner and go to sleep
Saturday 15 August 1998
- wake up about 6:30 AM, have shower and eat light breakfast
- take U-Bahn to München Hbf for the last time that summer
- collect luggage from locker and get to the EC Maurice Ravel
- train goes from München Hbf to Ulm, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Kehl, Strasbourg, Nancy and Paris Gare de l'est
- About 3:30 PM take metro line 5 to Bastille, line 8 to Ledru Rollin
- Check into Auberge Internationale des Jeunes in 11e arrondissement, leave luggage
- go to Paris Gare du Lyon to buy round trip reservations for 16 August 1998 TGV to Lyon Part Dieu
- take a RER ride from Gare du Lyon, then to Gare St Lazare and return by metro station Pereire Levallois
- dinner at "Tony's Pizza" at
- sleep because of the early train next morning.
On Friday the 14th August 1998, my contract to work at Widgetmeister International was to expire. The work I did was a good start, and my colleagues would have more time to work on the remainder of my project as more of the colleagues were returning from vacation. I would work on my normal job duties for the morning, but in the afternoon, I had to go over with my supervisor on what needed to be done next so that my colleagues could have a plan of action on how to continue. Also I had to notify HR on where to deposit the final paycheck. At 2:30 PM, I had a time balance of 0 hours, so I could leave the office for the last time and turn in my identification card.
I had to buy a few last minute items at the Neuperlach Zentrum, as the 15th and 16th were legal holidays, not just in Germany but also in France. I bought some food at the Kaufland store, 35 mm film and a couple of CDs at the Saturn Hansa. I went home to pack up, and let my roommates know that I was moving away. I let them have any unopened soft drink cans leftover. They were aware I was going to leave early the next day. After I packed up, I had the rest of my lunchmeat, cheese and bread, as well as whatever out of my soft drinks inventory I could drink, so that I would not have too much to carry around the next day. Then I went to bed.
Saturday 15th August 1998 came around, and at 6:20 AM I woke up. I was concerned that I could not carry all of my soft drinks along, as I had no space left. And is it particularly comfortable to carry around a cotton sack with soft drinks, in addition to a day bag, clothes bag and suitcase? I would have to leave some behind. I took my shower, got dressed, had a light breakfast and drank as many of the soft drinks as I could but not so much that I would upset my stomach. For long-distance travelling, that is not a good feeling. Before leaving, I had to write in 15 on top and 08 on bottom of the Eurail pass, leaving one space blank, hopefully for Sunday the 16th.
I left my key and went downstairs to the bus stop for line 37 to Arabellapark, and U-4 to Hauptbahnhof. At 7:10 AM I collected my suitcase and the clothes bag, then found the car of the Eurocity 67 "Maurice Ravel". I chose the one closest to the station but furthest from the engine, because at Stuttgart Hbf the train would switch direction, and it would be expected, that my car would be close to the front when arriving at Paris Gare de l'est. The train left, for the last time that summer, at 7:40 AM, stopping at
- München Pasing
- Augsburg Hbf
- Ulm Hbf
- Stuttgart Hbf <->
- Pforzheim
- Karlsruhe Hbf
- Baden-Baden
- Kehl Hbf
- Strasbourg
- Nancy
and then nonstop to
- Gare de l'est
While listening to the radio, the top-of-the-hour news mentioned that Saturday 15th August 1998 was a legal holiday for most of Bavaria, except for a few villages in northern Bavaria with a protestant majority that declared 15th August 1998 as a regular workday for businesses usually in operation on Saturdays. This would also be a legal holiday in Austria, France, Italy and some parts of Switzerland.
The train went to Stuttgart and changed direction. Until the train arrived at Strasbourg, I was in the frontmost car with the best window view. When the train was stopped at Strasbourg, removing the Deutsche Bundesbahn locomotive and changing it for an SNCF locomotive, resulted in four cars were added at the front. So I was no longer in the frontmost car.
On the radio, I heard a song that I did not know was in Hebrew until years later (I thought it was Arabic). It was Minister Moshe Montefiore, or "השר משה מונטיפיורי". It was sung by Yehoram Gaon. This was received on an AM radio station, so the reception was not particularly of good quality, more like hearing it from a cell phone call. It was almost 12 PM when I switched stations to hear the last German-language newscast before crossing into France.
After Strasbourg, the train went on to Nancy, and after Nancy, the train went non-stop and very fast, almost 150 mph / 240 km/h on average. The train left about 1 PM from Strasbourg, so it would be reasonable to expect the train to arrive in Paris by 3 PM or so.
Once the train arrived at Paris Gare de l'Est, about 3:15 PM, the walk to the entrance hall seemed longer, mainly because of my luggage, and at the time, I did not have a rolling suitcase. Not only that, but the metro train stations did not have escalators everywhere, particularly downward escalators, even at Gare de l'Est or Gare du Nord. It would make the journey to the hostel at Rue Trousseau in the 11th arrondissement near the Ledru Rollin station, a more difficult journey. I wanted to save money so that I could properly enjoy visiting Lyon the next day, as such, I stuck with the metro, no matter how many stairs I had to climb or descend, and make my Paris Visite ticket worthwhile. Therefore I took the M5 from Gare de l'Est to Bastille, and made the transfer to the M8 which went shortly to Ledru Rollin. I made sure at Bastille to be at the front for the M8, as Ledru Rollin at the east end had an upwards escalator to the fare gate.
It was a five minute walk from Ledru Rollin (usually it's two to three without luggage) to the youth hostel at Rue Trousseau. I checked in, and paid the nights of the 16th and 17th in French Francs, about 91.00 FF each night including breakfast. That's about € 14.00 per night in 1998 money. In order to book a bed, the first night is prepaid and that was already done by fax. I had a bed in the third floor, in a four bed room. The shower and toilet were in rooms in the hallway. I left my luggage in the room and put whatever else would otherwise fit in one of the room lockers. I think it was 5 FF for the deposit.
I had to take care of some business, namely buying two reservations for Paris Gare du Lyon to Lyon Part Dieu, and back, in first class. If for some reason they did not have spaces, I would have to pick other trains or cancel the journey altogether and waste the last day left on the Eurail Pass. The way to Gare du Lyon was not particularly complicated, it just required taking the M8 to Bastille and M1 to Gare du Lyon. When I arrived at Gare du Lyon, I was fortunate to be able to buy the reservations needed for the TGV train. I think they cost around 50 FF each.
I thought after that, I should take a ride on the RER D train. Previously I had only taken it in late May 1998, from Gare du Nord to Chatelet Les Halles, but this time I wanted to go from Gare du Lyon to one stop in the south, and towards St Lazare. The RER D went to Maisons-Alfort, about a zone farther than I expected. Just south of Gare du Lyon, there were many TGV trains parked. When I took the train back to Gare du Lyon, I found that the transfer stations of RER D and RER A, are on top of each other. To get from RER D to RER A, you need only to go downstairs. I have been to those two stations enough times, to notice that different soaps are used to clean the stations. The RER D has a banana soap used, and the RER A has a more floral smell. I don't know if that is the case anymore today. While waiting for an RER line A to Auber, I heard the last minute or so of Pascal Obispo "Où est l'elue" on the PA system.
At Auber, this is a big transfer station with long walkways between stations, in contrast to Düsseldorf Hbf where everything seems to be compacted. Particularly between Opera and St Lazare, it is a free transfer provided that you stay in fare zone 1. Otherwise you would have to buy a separate ticket for zones 1 to X. I took the Line L Banlieu train that went from St Lazare to Pont Cardinet and took the shuttle bus to Pereire Levallois. Then I thought, why not make a loop via Issy val de Seine, to La Défense with T2 and back to the 11th with RER A? I could get home in plenty of time to go to sleep. So I did that. For dinner I had a pizza at Chez Tony - as far as Google maps shows, Chez Tony on Rue Faubourg in the 11th arrondissement still exists 20 years on. He gave me to start, a glass of tomato juice, probably the best tomato juice I ever drank. I had a quattro stagione pizza and glass of Kronenbourg.
After dinner I went to my room, gathered together what I needed, including the tape recorder, blank tapes, camera and film, and whatever soft drinks I had. Then I went to sleep. Tomorrow would be the last day for meaningful travel as I needed to use Monday the 17th for last-minute shopping.
Just three or four more days for travel, hope you enjoyed as much as this last week's travel in 2018.

Good morning! I hope you slept well and feel rested? Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in my blue towelling robe, enjoying my first cuppa of the day (green tea.) Welcome to the weekend!
Wow! Here we are again: Friday! Where did that week go? No, seriously, where did that week go?
First of all, many thanks to everyone that got involved with Throwback Thursday on my page. Yesterday’s word was JEALOUSY and the responses were – as you’d expect – very interesting! It’s a word we don’t even want to think about! It’s an emotion we don’t even want to admit to feeling but it’s something that always finds its way into our lives and, often, it’s other people jealous of our happiness or success!
We very quickly watched all 10 episodes of ‘Blockbuster’ (created by a woman that worked on ‘Superstore’ and ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’.) The true story of the last ‘Blockbuster’ store on the planet. It was okay but not mind-blowing. We’ve now moved on ‘Queen Charlotte’, which excites The Trouble enormously. As we all know, black people have been totally written out of English history, as if England was 100% lilywhite until the Windrush ship docked. As real historians know, there were black people in England long before, so ‘Bridgerton’ and ‘Queen Charlotte’ are based on a lot of historical detail.
Yesterday was a very rewarding day of Zoom 1-2-1 meetings with my students. Hopefully, now more clearly focused on the learning outcomes of their end-of-term assignments. Ha, listen to me! I even sound like a teacher now! Then, in the evening, I enjoyed a few hours at a music industry networking event at Tileyard in Kings Cross (photos on my Facebook page.)
In amongst all the prepping, teaching, marking, moderating, meetings and course-designing (comes up for air), in coming weeks, we’ve got lots to look forward to. We’re going to see Dolly on Saturday, The Trouble is selling jewellery at a craft fair in Monk’s Park on August 15th, got a garden party on August 20th, we’ll be at Panorama on August 26th to see our nephew Elijah perform with Metronomes, then I’m looking forward to TWO gigs on Bank Holiday Sunday: The White Lion All-Dayer and ‘Let The Music Play’ at Cinnabar in Stevenage (REALLY looking forward to that day!) We had invitations for both the 26th and 27th, which we had to turn down. I hate turning down invitations but bank holidays are always busy! I’m playing at a private function on September 9th, while The Trouble is selling jewellery at a craft fair somewhere else! We’ve got a wedding in Jamaica in mid-September and, of course, we’ll be back and forth to Hove regularly to see Lady Wesker.
Really hope you can join me tomorrow at 1.00 p.m. for ‘The A-Z Of Mi-Soul Music’: The Letter P (Pt. 4).
Have a fabulous and funky Friday! I love you all. You’re probably thinking, “You don’t even know me!” but, if people can hate for no reason, why can’t I love?

Let's Book Your Family Fall Mini!
Happy Monday!
I hope you enjoyed the beautiful sunny weekend we had.  Saturday was especially perfect! Today is a different story though.  Expect rain off and on today.  As I was walking my kids to school this morning, my son looked up at me and said “Mommy, is it Fall now?  The leaves are orange and yellow.”  I explained to him that it was still Summer and that Fall was just around the corner.
With me, about midway through August, there is a switch that clicks in my brain and I automatically start thinking about all of the festivities and shopping that goes with Fall and Winter.  I just can’t help myself.  I may even be sitting on the beach watching the lake and thinking about Thanksgiving.
As a photographer, I need to be ahead by a minimum of 2 - 3 months when planning my sessions.  Booking a Fall Mini in August is very common.  Even Booking Holiday Santa Minis in September or October is also very much the norm!
Last week, I went out to my Family Fall Mini Location and took some pictures to show you what to expect.  I have been wanting an excuse to use this location for a while.  It’s a combination of a tree covered trail, field and pond, all in one.  It’s amazing and I can’t wait to take your Family pictures there!  It’s on Father David Bauer Drive in Waterloo right beside Waterloo Park.  There is a big parking lot directly beside the location and it’s very easy to get to.
Take a look at the location:
The sessions are happening on Saturday, October 15th from 9:00am to 11:00am and so far they are 50% sold out.  So, schedule your session before they are gone!
If you have any questions and would like me to book you in personally, please email me here:

American Dragon Timeline
I’ve been trying for a while now to figure out the timeline of this show, because it makes no sense in the order that Disney Channel originally aired the episodes. It also makes no sense in the episode list on Jeff Goode’s website, which he claims to be the proper chronology of events.
I had to come up with a few convoluted headcanons to make this work, but I think I’ve finally pieced together a coherent timeline (note that for a lot of the filler episodes, it doesn’t actually matter that much when they take place, I was just trying to stick as close to Jeff Goode’s chronology as possible.)
September 2004
Old School Training
It’s implied in this episode that Jake got his dragon powers very recently. They don’t say how recently, but given how new the whole thing is to him, I’d say it’s probably only been about a week or two.
Here’s where we come up against our first issue with canon. In The Legend of Dragon Tooth, Jake says he got his dragon powers when he turned 13, and in Shapeshifter, he says he’s a Pisces, which means his birthday would be in late February, or March. There’s no way the timeline makes sense if that’s the case, so my headcanon is that Jake is just like…really bad at astrology, and he somehow confused Pisces with another star sign.
We also have the issue of how far behind he seems to be in school (he’s 14 in early season 2, but still in 7th grade). So, two more headcanons to explain that. Number one, Jake’s birthday is actually sometime in early September, so he missed the cutoff to go to kindergarten when he was 5, and had to wait until he was 6, placing him a year behind (some places don’t allow kids to start kindergarten if they turn 5 after September 1st. I knew a boy in my old youth group who was almost a year older than everyone else in our grade, because he had an October birthday). Number two, at some point in elementary school, Jake was held back a grade. So the first episode takes place shortly after Jake’s 13th birthday, at the beginning of his sixth grade year.
Since Trixie and Spud are supposed to be the same age as him, that would mean they must’ve both been held back at some point as well (that especially makes sense for Spud—anyone who’s purposely failed as many tests as he has would almost definitely have to repeat a grade).
This would also make Rose younger than them. She’s very bright, and she seems like a good student, so it’s unlikely she was ever held back. But we don’t want her to be too much younger than them, so I’ll headcanon that she also has a birthday in early September, making her a year younger than Jake. If that’s the case, she’d be 12 in season one, and 13/14 in season 2.
Adventures in Trollsitting/Fu Dog Takes a Walk
The dogcatcher says that it’s September.
 September/October 2004
Shapeshifter Dragon Breath The Legend of Dragon Tooth The Talented Mr. Long Professor Rotwood’s Thesis Act 4, Scene 15 The Long Weekend Body Guard Duty Dragon Summit
This episode has to take place after Shapeshifter, Dragon Breath, and Professor Rotwood’s Thesis, since the Dragon Council makes references back to Jake’s actions in all of those episodes. It also has to take place before The Halloween Bash, which places it sometime in September or October.
 October 2004
The Halloween Bash
Jeff Goode’s website lists this episode as taking place between Ski Trip and The Hunted, but there’s no way that’s possible, because Ski Trip takes place close to Valentine’s Day, and The Hunted takes place during the Equinox (they don’t specify which Equinox, but it would have to be the one in September; it’s the only way the timeline makes any sense, even with the generous liberties I’m taking with these headcanons). So The Halloween Bash has to take place before Ski Trip. No one in this episode makes any reference to knowing Rose’s identity, so it works out just fine.
 February 2005
The Ski Trip
Valentine’s Day was actually on a Monday in 2005, so presumably this episode takes place the weekend of February 11-13.
 March 2005
The Egg/The Heist
Easter was on March 27 in 2005. This is how I know The Hunted takes place during the Autumnal Equinox; Rose was still in the city during Easter weekend, a week after the Vernal Equinox.
Eye of the Beholder Ring Around the Dragon Jake Takes the Cake
 May 2005
Fu and Tell/Flight of the Unicorn
Flight of the Unicorn takes place on Memorial Day, which was May 30th that year
 May/June (or September) 2005
Keeping Shop
Hong Kong Nights
I know Jeff Goode’s website says this is the last episode of season one, but I absolutely cannot accept any episode besides The Hunted as the season finale, so I’m just gonna recognize that the council has made a decision, but elect to ignore it.
 September 2005
The Hunted
The Autumnal Equinox in 2005 was on September 22
 Late November/Early December 2005
Half Baked
Jake says it’s been three months since Rose left. It couldn’t be exactly three months, because that would place this episode in late December, and school would be out for the holidays. So presumably it’s late November or early December, and Jake is rounding up when he says three months.
The Academy
This one would pretty much have to take place very soon after Half Baked, like within a week or two.
 Late December 2005
Breakout
This episode establishes that 88 and 89 are in the city working as apprentices to the Huntsman, so it has to take place before the Christmas episode, which they also appear in.
Hairy Christmas
January/February 2006
(Most of these don’t actually have to take place in January or February, aside from Dreamscape and Fool’s Gold. The rest could be pretty much any time during Jake’s 7th grade year. I’m just trying to stick to Jeff Goode’s chronology, and keep at least some of the episodes in the order he listed.)
Hero of the Hourglass Bring It On Family Business Something Fishy This Way Comes The Doppelganger Gang Dreamscape Fool's Gold
 February 2006
The Love Cruise
They never explicitly say it’s Valentine’s Day, but the whole concept of the Love Cruise seems like something a school would do for Valentine’s Day. Also adds an extra layer of heartbreak, because it means Jake and Rose’s breakup happened on the one-year anniversary of Jake finding out Rose was Huntsgirl. Ouch. February has not been kind to Jake.
On the other hand, I’d prefer to headcanon that Jake and Rose got to spend the whole summer together before their breakup, going on dream dates every night and not having to set their alarms for school in the morning (can we just let them be happy for a little while? PLEASE?!?!?!?), so maybe the Love Cruise wasn’t on Valentine’s Day, and instead was just some random school event at the beginning of their 8th grade year.
 May 2006
Feeding Frenzy
They spend three days visiting Jake’s family, so it’s either Memorial Day weekend, spring break, or summertime. Most likely Memorial Day or spring break, since Jake says in this episode that he’s been the American Dragon for a year and a half.
 May/June 2006
A Befuddled Mind The Rotwood Files Haley Gone Wild Switcheroo
This one takes place after The Love Cruise, because Jake and Rose’s recent breakup is a minor plot point, so it only takes place at this point if we headcanon Love Cruise taking place in February.
Young At Heart
I know this is supposed to be a later episode, but going by this timeline, Jake would be 15 for most of his 8th grade year, and in this episode Jake, Trixie, and Spud talk about being 14, so it has to take place during 7th grade
Summer between 7th and 8th grade
A Ghost Story
 Late September/Early October 2006
Homecoming
I never went to public school (I was unfortunately homeschooled), but it’s my understanding that middle schools don’t do Homecoming. So my headcanon is that it was actually just a junior high prom or something, but a few students on the planning committee approached Sun Park and begged her to let them model it after the Homecoming dances at their older siblings’ high schools. Sun was delighted by their enthusiasm, so of course she agreed.
Any time during their 8th grade year
Supernatural Tuesday Siren Says Shaggy Frog Nobody's Fu Game On Bite Father, Bite Son Magic Enemy #1
 February 2007
Year of the Jake
Chinese New Year was on February 18th in 2007
 March 2007
Furious Jealousy
Trixie and Spud put together a Daylight Savings themed school event, so this episode takes place either in October of 06 or March of 07. We’ll go with March because it’s closer to the end of the series.
 June 2007
Being Human
Haley and Gramps both say in this episode that Jake is 14, but he would actually be 15 by this point (even if my whole timeline is wrong and he actually is a Pisces, he still would’ve had his 15th birthday already). Presumably the writers just weren’t paying close enough attention to their established timeline, but the in-universe explanation is…sometimes family members forget your age; my best friend keeps saying her youngest sister is 15, when in fact her sister is turning 17 this year. Sometimes you lose track.
 Summer after 8th grade
The Hong Kong Longs
Presumably this episode takes place around July or August, which means Jake and his friends would be almost 16 by this point (and Rose would be almost 15, assuming my headcanon about her being a year younger than them is accurate).

Harrison Ford: 2020 summary
A year like no other, as you must have heard countless times. The pandemic changed almost everybody´s life on this planet and Harrison wasn´t an exception. Our lil´ bean is strong and healthy but also has to be safe at home, so this year didn´t deliver many news about Harrison. Still, we had a new Harrison movie, The Call of the Wild, released in February, and a few other events before the lockdown. 2020 was also marked by the death of 3 former Harrison´s costars: Chadwick Boseman, Sean Connery and David Prowse. May all of them rest on peace on Heaven.
A new year begins, and we all wish Harrison (and everyone by the way) a productive, happy and healthy 2021. Stay safe!

Disney Reportedly Wants Harrison Ford For Indiana Jones Streaming Show
Thankfully, then, it seems that the fifth (Indiana Jones) outing may not be the last we see of the actor in the role, as insider Daniel Richtman claims that Disney wants Ford to appear in a series that’s being developed for their streaming service. Further details are unclear and the tipster doesn’t say if it’s an all-new show or a reboot of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, but as one of the Mouse House’s most valuable assets, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they wanted to continue mining the property once Indiana Jones 5 wraps up the big screen stories for good.
Thanks everyone! Hopefully in 2021 the pandemic will fade and the world will return to normalcy. Luckily the production of Indiana Jones V will start this spring, as well as other Harrison projects such the tv show The Staircase and the movie starring with Ed Elms. Fingers crossed for a year full of (good) news about Harrison. Have a happy and safe 2021.

Meet My MC: Eleanor Bloom
Tumblr media
Hello! So, I’ve been wanting to do this for MONTHS. Since I started posting When You're Ready series to be exact, but I never found the perfect face claim to do a nice moodboard. That changed a few days ago thanks to a random post in Tumblr where I discovered this Queen 😍😍😍
Let me introduce you to my main Open Heart MC (I have another MC for the mini series I’m writing, but I’ll make a separate post when it’s due). This is the woman I've been building and destroying as I write the series, and despite her suffering, is the luckiest bitch on earth 😂
Edited on August 15th, 2021.
Name: Eleanor Andrea Bloom
Nicknames: Ellie, by her friends and family in general; Sunny or Sunflower by her dad; Andrew by her brother; Elle by Bryce; Ella by Keiki.
Face claim : Ivana Baquero.
Height: 5'4 (167cm)
Date of birth: December 14th, 1992.
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
Education: Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
Family: Robert and Verónica Bloom (parents), Benjamin Bloom (younger brother, 6 years younger), Ricardo Díaz and Ofelia Velásquez, chilean maternal grandparents, Albert and Lorraine Bloom, paternal grandparents.
Love Interest: Bryce Lahela. (At first was Ethan, but he's now competely in the past.)
Personality: Eleanor is outgoing, kind, caring, and is always ready to help others; she also has a profound sense of empathy. In front of adversities she's resilient and stubborn, a total fighter for what she considers right. Unfortunately that leads to focus more on other people's needs instead of their own.
Messy overthinker.
She's clever and very intuitive. In High School she was one of the best students of her class, but she was also a bit of a troublemaker, always standing up for others and fighting for what is right.
Her passion for medicine and fighting for her ideals was inherited from Ricardo, who was President of the Medicine Students' Union while he was at college in the 60s in Chile.
Family Background:
Eleanor was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in a family of parents who fell in love at the young age of 16, and that have been together ever since.
Robert works as Engineer in Construction while Verónica is Auditor in a Financial Firm.
Benjamin is studying Naval Engineering at University of Michigan.
Her paternal family is from Columbus, OH.
Her maternal grandparents are chilean and lived as exiled in USA after the Military Forces made a coup d'etat in the country (1973). Both were members of the Socialist Party and, at the risk of being arrested (and tortured) for their political tendencies, Ricardo accepted an offer to do a fellowship in pediatrics in Columbus, OH. Ofelia worked as Mid-wife in Chile but stayed at home the first years to help Verónica with the new country and the new language, and because she and Ricardo wanted more kids. After sixteen years (1974-1990), as democracy was reinstated, both returned to Chile with their two younger children, of 12 and 9 at that moment. Verónica stayed as she was studying and had plans of making family with Robert eventually, once they finished their studies.
Despite the fact that her grandparents weren't living in USA when she was born, she's very close with them and her chilean family in general. Normally The Blooms travel once a year to spend the chilean winter holidays or the national holidays in September, although the last few years have been just Verónica and Robert because of Benjamin's college schedule.
Interests.
She likes to listen to music, specially pop. Taylor Swift is her favorite artist of all times. She also listens a lot of Spanish-speaking music, like Reggeaton (mostly to dance) and chilean artists like Francisca Valenzuela, Los Bunkers, Alex Anwandter and Javiera Mena.
Eleanor is a coffee person, and is more a sweet tooth than salty, all thanks to the pastries and cakes Ofelia prepares every time she visits Chile.
She likes to cook and bake things, but she's not a fan as Sienna.
She likes to read, but above all she enjoys taking long walks and sometimes, if time allows, do some hiking.
She loves romantic movies and her favorite Christimas Movie is Love Actually.
She LOVES dancing, especially reggaeton (which she learned to dance it during her visits to Chile), but now that she has Bryce as partner she loves it even more because the boy has moves and he's the only one that can keep up with her just as she likes (and even better). Besides is a sexy activity and one of their favorites foreplay 🤭
Random facts.
Her parents called her Eleanor because during High School, her mother was obssessed with Eleanor Roosevelt, and her father just liked the name because it was a Beatles' song (Eleanor Rigby).
Her dad started calling her Sunny or Sunflower since she was 7 for her bright and caring personality. And since then the sunflower has been her favorite flower.
She's fluent in Spanish. Even thought she learned a lot during the her visits to Chile on vacations over the years, she became fluent after she spent two months in Chile before going to college.
____
Thanks for reading! I had all this information ready to be published for months, but I didn't want to post it without the face claim.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know Eleanor a bit more 😊

Guten Tag!   Today would be my last day at the job, and I would have to turn in my identification.  Also I had to make sure that I took care of my accomodations for 17th to 19th August before I left for the USA, New York and San Francisco.  Also the big radio and coffee maker would have to be sold.
I had to go to work for the final day, and towards the afternoon, I had to let my supervisor know, how many vacation days I took and at the security gate, I would have to leave my identification card.  My supervisor said he would issue a letter on my performance over the summer.  He gave me a preview that it would be a decent review, as if I were to receive a letter grade of "B", or something like 83, for those who use numerical grades.
For the 17th to the 19th, I had to prepay my first night at the Auberge Internationale des Jeunes so that I could request a second one.  The request was done by fax.  The night charge was 110 FF, about 35 D-Mark per night, and the rest could be paid in cash.  I was set for the 17th to 19th for accomodations.
Once I left work, I went to the store to buy some food for supper.  Then I went home the usual way.  One of my roommates had to return to Ulm the following day, so that would be my only time to say goodbye.  We also settled on a price for the radio.  He gave about 80 Mark for it, and about 20 Mark because it was a Siemens brand.  Not a bad trade.
Friday the 15th August was a legal holiday.  Work was closed, so I could not work that day.  Instead, I went to see the Schloss Nymphenburg.  It was in the northwest of the city.  To go there, requires a bus to Silberhornstraße and the U Bahn to Hohenzollernplatz and then a tram to Romanplatz and another to the Schloß Nymphenburg castle.  Back then I did not go inside it unlike Wednesday 21st July 2021 when I actually did.  To see the castle, would require walking maybe a few hundred meters along a street with a canal in the middle.  Then there are some large ponds to pass by and then you can see the castle.  It was a nice castle, consisting of the main palace, and two wings.  I should have taken time to pay for entry to the back garden.  In 2021 when I visited, it was very nice, something like a small version of the garden at Versaille Palace near Paris.
I also bought a train ticket for Sunday 17th August 1997, namely the "Maurice Ravel" train from Munich to Paris Gare de l'Est.  I was in the second class compartment.
Saturday the 16th August, because the 15th was a holiday, the 16th August would have stores open until about 4 PM, so I took advantage of what I could.  I bought some groceries to eat, but not so much that I would have to leave anything behind.  I went home and packed up, and took my two large bags to Munich Hbf, and put them in a large locker.  They would be safe until the morning when I had to take the train to Paris Gare de L'Est.
I had a decent supper, nothing too filling and went to bed.  I had only my green backpack and basics for the night.
Sunday the 17th August, I took a shower, had a quick snack, and packed my green backpack for the last time.  I even had the bedspread that I brought along with me, put in the bag.  When I walked to the housing authority, I dropped my key off in the drop box.  Then I left for St. Quirin Platz on a bus to Silberhornstraße, the U2 to Hbf and I had fifteen minutes to find the locker with my other bags, and catch the Maurice Ravel train.  I found the second class compartment and boarded for the last time that year.
The train left München Hbf at 7:50 AM, and made an intermediate stop at München Pasing, before proceeding to Augsburg, Ulm Hbf, Stuttgart Hbf to change direction, Pforzheim, Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden, Kehl where I left Germany for the last time that year, crossing the Rhine into Strasbourg, then really picking up speed to Nancy and then Paris Gare de l'Est.  At Strasbourg, the train added some cars at the front and exchanged the DB locomotive for a SNCF locomotive.  I was not exactly in a very good position on the train, being in the second class compartment.
About 3 PM, the train had arrived at Paris Gare de l'Est.  I was towards the rear of the train and had a long walk to the lobby.  Trolleys were in short supply.  I did not have much French money and could not yet buy anything from the vending machine, until I exchanged some D-Mark for Franc.  I managed to buy a one-day Mobilis carte orange day pass for zones 1 to 2.  I would be able to take the metro line 5 to République and transfer to the line 8 for Ledru Rollin, so that I could avoid changing at Bastille which was a terrible station to transfer at, with luggage.
I arrived at the Auberge Internationale des Jeunes at Rue Trousseau 10 in the 11th arrondissement around 4:30 PM.  I let them know that I sent a fax and had confirmation of paying the first night, and paid a further 110 Francs for the second night.  They said my room was ready and I could place my luggage on the free bed.  I was on the third (second for those not from the USA) floor, so it took a bit of time to go upstairs.  There was no elevator at all.
After leaving my bags on the upper bunk, I went out to explore the Bastille area more or less.  I took the metro and RER to Luxembourg park.  I walked around that park for about fifteen minutes.  I also took the metro line 8 to Daumesnil and transferred to a line 6 and I took a photo of the entrance to the Picpus metro station before returning.  I am not sure what else I did that night.
Tomorrow would be my last full day in Europe for 1997.  Please join me when I visit the Eiffel Tower grounds, La Défense by M1 as opposed to by the RER, Galleries Lafayette and try and fail to find the Stravinsky fountain near the Centre Georges Pompidou (how could that actually happen??????).  See you then.
